Terrible Experience
August 22, 2022

I booked a 8 seated premium SUV, 2 days before my trip, I was informed by Kathryn not only they could not get me a 8 seater they got me a 7 seater Armada(that was little more roomier) but still didnt fit my accomodations but i was willing to work with them, then they had to have it serviced in morning, I went to pick it up and it was not ready after checking multiple times, they said it needed tires and would not be ready for my trip so I would not have the vehicle in time and I was on the mechanics time so It would be done "when it was done" I was told I asked to speak to Kathryns manager I didnt get his name but he shrugged his shoulders and said he cant help me. I had the worst experience with enterprise I will never in my life rent from them awful customer service, lack of communication and lack of professionalism

Unprofessional altogether
September 7, 2022

Now I see why this company don't have a five star rating. I have been renting from this company ever since I was old enough to rent. But never again! It's so amazing how it took almost two weeks before I was able to get my ticket close. I rented a vehicle from this company on August 5th 2022 and return this vehicle on August 7th. Well guess what it took almost two week to receive the amount I owed on my credit card. I called almost everyday and spoke to a rep at the home office. I kept hearing the same thing. It's not our fault, and the place/store that you rented your vehicle at have to be the one that closes your ticket. So of course I asked well can you guys called them or send a message. She begins to tell me we can email them and that's all we can do. Then she proceed to say well since this is on our end. Would you like a discount on the next time you rent from us or would you like for us to credit this rental that would go toward you amount now. So in my mind I'm thinking well maybe they're apologetic about their mistake. What a fool I was. I finally received my amount 10 days later and guess what, no credit toward my $300 and something amount. This place is a liar, unprofessional, unorganized and more. I will never rent again from this place. Do not waste your time speaking to anyone at the home office or renting from this company. You will be disappointed for sure. Especially the one at the Nashville Airport. If you don't have the time to train your associates then maybe you guys need to rethink on who you hiring on your management team. And hire associate that cares and not about the paycheck.

I am overwhelmed with profound sadness and deep disappointment as a result of the shocking behavior exhibited by Enterprise Car Rental towards my business. As a loyal corporate account holder, I had entrusted them with our vehicle rental needs for the past two months. However, since April 2023, their unethical actions have led to fraudulent charges amounting to an astonishing £5,000 on my business account.

Despite my relentless efforts to address this grave issue, Enterprise Car Rental has shown a complete disregard and lack of respect. Numerous attempts to reach out to different managers and departments have been met with silence and indifference. Each time I have requested invoices or an explanation for these suspicious transactions, my pleas have been callously dismissed.

In a recent conversation with a manager named Roop, I sought resolution, only to be disheartened by his shocking lack of empathy and unwillingness to address my concerns. Instead, he casually assured me that he would forward my email to the appropriate party, leaving me hanging in uncertainty, waiting indefinitely for a response. This dismissive attitude not only falls short of satisfactory, but it also reflects the overall disregard that Enterprise Car Rental has for small independent businesses like mine.

If it were possible, I would give Enterprise Car Rental a single star, as they have demonstrated a complete disregard for their customers' well-being. I strongly urge everyone to steer clear of this deceitful company and the potential havoc they could wreak on your business. Additionally, I humbly request that anyone with knowledge or advice on pursuing legal action in this matter kindly share their insights in response to this review.

It has become painfully evident that Enterprise Car Rental is solely focused on enriching themselves, even at the expense of deceitfully extracting unauthorised payments from unsuspecting customers. Resolving the matter at hand seems to be of no interest to them; their sole focus lies in exploiting customers to maximize their own profits, leaving businesses like mine teetering on the brink of closure.

Enterprise car rental real let down my first experience was great but now when i needed it most you left me stranded due to a website that doesnt state all policies or catch mistakes made why can o rent one in my nieghborhood with debit card. But at the airport its against policy? And how can you charge 19.99 a day there but a mile up the road its 53.99 for the same car? The consumer is really gettin screwed there! So out of towners get a better deal than the locals who pay the road tax so out of towners can drive on nice roads cheaper than us locals. And different policies and big price leaps for different. Locations only blocks away? And the customer service people at PDX and your 1800 number some of the least caring people ive ever talked to. Yoy left me standong in the middle of life with my pants behind me and i will tell the world just how much of a disaster you made for me on fathers day weekend of all times never again will intrust you with my needs you dont take care of no one just leave them with sorry thats it

I have NEVER been more upset with a rental car agency in my life. The Miami and Ft Lauderdale Airport Enterprise locations were both unresponsive to our immediate needs to make our flight when the car given to us was an unsafe vehicle and broke down on the highway blocking traffic, with a potentially known faulty transmission. Additionally, it is now 4-16-24 and NO ONE has gotten back to us to apologize, refund us for our terrible experience, or give us a compensated car rental for our troubles and many years of loyalty to this company. We were stranded on the highway on 3/27 and they told us to call highway patrol because it would take them over 2 hours to help us. Highway patrol said they could not tow the vehicle and told us to call them and have their Miami staff sit with the vehicle. When they were unresponsive highway patrol waited with the car until they drove the 2 miles to get their car so we could make our flight. I talked with 9 different departments and individuals over the past 3 weeks and no one has gotten back to me even though they claim they will within 2-3 business days. The only communication I have received back is a receipt of them charging my credit card on 3/29. We used the car for a total of 1.5 hours from Ft. Lauderdale airport to our Miami hotel and to the Miami airport. I have called and left messages that were recorded to MANY people. They were unable to connect me to Ft. Lauderdale Airport's Enterprise personnel nor Miami even though I have ALWAYS been able to speak to a live person immediately at every other Enterprise I have ever rented from as a loyal customer throughout the Midwest and East coast airports. I am beyond dissatisfied and have canceled payment for this experience. I should sue Enterprise for knowingly giving us a car that had a faulty transmission. DO NOT rent from the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale airports. If you have any problems they will not give you any assistance. They will also not honor what you pay for in terms of car types. I paid for a luxury vehicle and was given a standard SUV.

After reset after I hadn't used it in years. I asked the manager I was talking to if the fee was still $200 deposit plus my car rental and she told me yes. So I called back the next day to make a car rental and the guy disrespected me and told me that I had no idea what I was talking about. He put off like I was lying and I didn't know what I was talking about I told him if he would pull up on his computer and look where I called yesterday and had my password reset and would listen to the conversation where tell me $200 I wouldn't be so upset. You can't do false advertisement it's against the law you can't tell one person one thing and charge another person a different fee. And then the manager I talked to on the phone for 10 minutes talk to me like I was a dog and said that they had to make the money up because of covid. I hate to tell him I work too covid I didn't get a day off I was there on the front lines doing my duty Keegan people alive I'm sorry you lost business but don't take it out on the customer.

We have a claim with Allstate Insurance and were told to rent a vehicle from Enterprise Rent A Car. After 2 weeks of driving the rental, my daughter experienced issues with the vehicle on a Saturday morning and did not think to contact the local office until 12:30PM. The vehicle would start and then the steering wheel would lock. She had to repeatedly start and restart the vehicle - definitely unsafe to drive. Unfortunately, it appears that many of their offices close at Noon on Saturdays. She contacted the Emergency Assistance number and was told by the representative (she added me to the call) that her options were to wait until Monday for a replacement or take an Uber from Huntsville, TX to Bryan, TX (60 miles away) to get a replacement vehicle. Just to be clear, the solution was to make, at minimum, a 2 and a half hour round trip to retrieve a replacement vehicle - not counting the time at the rental car office in Bryan. So, about 3 hours total at minimum. We asked the representative for another customer service number to reach a local Enterprise representative who could assist us. He gave us another number that ended up circling us back to Emergency Assistance. We attempted to reach Enterprise via social media over the weekend with no response. We decided to leave the vehicle at her apartment and she went without a vehicle over the weekend. She had to ask friends for assistance and will need to also get a ride to the college campus Monday morning as the local office does not open until 8AM. Once they open we can then contact them for a replacement vehicle. The company basically offers minimal assistance in the case of an emergency - not to mention hold times of about 10 minutes. How are these acceptable business practices?
We will never rent from Enterprise again.

Will not return

Branch #6541

There is a serious lapse in communication and accountability at this location. Insurance was all set to cover the rental with the exception of 4 days which would be around $125. But! As the car was being dropped off (in perfect condition) we were informed that we were misinformed the day we picked the rental up. First, the associate handling the pick up explicitly said that coverage was needed on the rental so we trusted that associate and opted in for it thinking we had NO choice (and later found out it's completely optional) so we were charged for something we were not supposed to under false pretenses. We also found that the associate didn't even give us the right information and charged the WRONG insurance type of the rental (again that we never needed but were told to opt in for).

So today while dropping it off, they are telling us that their policy states all insurance on the rentals is optional but did not want to acknowledge the fact that one of their associates did not honor that policy and basically forced us to opt in on something we DID NOT NEED.

Keep in mind that there is DIRECT communication between this enterprise branch and Allstate insurance(the company paying for the rental) so there should have been no problems or miscommunication on how the rental should be handled.

The local branch refused to help in any way shape or form, was very passive aggressive and went as far as to lie about their not being a headquarters or corporate number for us to call to speak to someone who CAN help.

Well we got the number for the Area manager and left a message because this situation is ridiculous and someone needs to take responsibility and rectify the whole situation.

The total should be a little under $200, now it is $500 for charges that are very arguable. We have absolutely no problem paying the correct amount owed but $500 is absurd.

This review is for the Enterprise Rent-A-Car at 612 W Loop 289 in Lubbock, Texas. WORK ENTERPRISE EVER! I had a reservation scheduled for today. They refused to pick me up. I called a lot, and I was never able to talk to anyone in the store. I work for a call center, so I can't answer personal calls. Plus if I don't know who's calling me, I don't answer. So they give me MAJOR ATTITUDE about how they've claimed that they've tried to call me all day long. They NEVER left me a voicemail to call them back. And after giving me major attitude for not answering their calls, they get mad at me for not being happy with them and having an attitude because I had to find a ride to their store. Then that ride had to come back and get me and take me home because they refused to rent to me because I accidentally left my wallet at home today. So apparently it's OK for them to have a horrible attitude and talk to you very rudely and unprofessionally, but if you have an attitude, they get mad and kick you out of their stupid store.

You people REALLY need to be careful with how you treat people! You have NO CLUE what people are going through in their personal lives! You don't know that someone has been living a nightmare since her daddy died in September of 2020 due to leukemia or that her brother has turned her entire family against her. You have NO CLUE about the excessive suicidal thoughts someone may be struggling with on a daily basis and that your HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL behavior just might be enough to push them over the edge!

AVOID THESE JERKS AT ALL COSTS!

Awful experience
November 17, 2023

I would give zero stars if I could. We arranged to rent a car from 5pm Friday until 5pm Sunday, and pick up from the Omaha, NE location near 90th and Maple. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle we were told it was not ready and they would call us in an hour to pick it up. We got no call, so around 6:30pm we left to see if they were ready for us to pick up the vehicle. Upon getting the car, at 7pm, we noticed they had added on an extra day and their insurance coverage, which we did not ask for. Before we could leave town we had to GO BACK to the Enterprise and inquire about our invoice. The employee said she took off the extra day and the insurance, but we would not be refunded until we returned the car. That was nearly $200 we would not have to travel with because they are unable to be transparent with what they are charging in the moment you pick up the vehicle. We got the car back to the Enterprise at 4:30pm on Sunday, and were told we would receive our final invoice on Monday. Days later when we FINALLY can see what we were charged, we saw that the extra day was added back onto the invoice. So now a week after we originally picked up the vehicle, we had to return to the Enterprise AGAIN to ask why these charges were added on when the vehicle has dropped off 19 hours before they claimed it was. We will NEVER be using this location for rental vehicles again, and I highly doubt we will ever use Enterprise again after this experience.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. It has been a nightmare! The insurance company of the the person that rear-ended me rented a car from Enterprise. I was on the phone when the insurance agent made the reservation and specifically told the Enterprise agent that it had to be a 3rd row vehicle (comparable to my own). When I arrived they did not have the vehicle they were supposed to and tried to lie and say that was what the insurance had reserved (again I was on the phone when the reservation was made). After issuing my complaint and them getting the reservation "fixed", they sent me across town with my 4 year old to pick a vehicle from another location. When I arrived at the location they were closed, doors, locked, and lights off. I tried to call both locations and no answer. I stopped an employee walking to their car (this employee was not kind in any way). They called their manager and said someone would be there in a few minutes and drove off. I was finally let in and given the keys to a rental with a 3rd row. I go to put my child's car seat in and the car reeked of cigarettes. Nothing I could do because once again the doors were locked and noone answered. I had to travel out of state (which they were told). Not only did the car stink it needed an oil change and I was about to drive over 2000 miles with my children in the car. When we were in Orlando Florida I called customer service and was told to go to the Enterprise location at the airport because at that time the warning light concerning the tires had come on. As instructed I went to this location only to have the manager tell me they didn't have anything after another employee had told me they did. His response was "it was the Texas locations problem and he had to look out for his interests there". This has been the worst experience and still stuck with a stinky car that has tire issues and needs an oil change, but Enterprise could care less.

I've been an Enterprise customer for many years and have always had a positive experience, at least until the last couple of months. Considering that I rent from the company at least 2-3 times a month I think that their customer service should be a bit more than what it is. Since I don't own a car I have no personal insurance so I always purchase theirs whenever I rent. No matter how much insurance I purchase from these people there's always something that the insurance doesn't cover. WHO KNEW THAT BUMPER-TO-BUMPER coverage didn't include tires on the vehicle and would I like to purchase some more insurance just in case the tires came off on the road. TALK ABOUT TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN OR TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF. Also at Enterprise (St. Barnabas Rd. MD) they get very upset if you don't drop off the keys and go when you bring the car back. They get angry when you ask them to check the vehicle in and make sure that everything is ok and get the receipt. Who knows what happens to the vehicle between the time you bring it back and the time they rent it to somebody else. I took one back one time and ended up being charged for gas when I had just put gas in it before I took it back. I'm also afraid of the vehicle being damaged just being left in the parking lot and I'm the one charged for it. Young lady at the counter was VERY RUDE. Told her I'd wait for the vehicle to be checked in and she MADE SURE that I had a long wait. Love my Enterprise in Fredericksburg VA. They take the family owned/operated pledge seriously. Never had a problem with them.
