Great car, price, service and no line.
November 26, 2022

Sean at Detroit Metro and the entire team is awesome!

Rented/prepaid a Rav4 11/24/22 at 1002am from Enterprise at Detroit Metro Airport DTW on Lucas Dr. Of the many companies and locations I've rented cars from over the years I've never been treated so well or felt such a relaxing welcoming vibe! The shuttle drivers are kind and smiling. Walking into Enterprise a woman smiled as she invited us in telling us where restrooms were, encouraged us to take a complimentary water and immediately called the next person in line. The other female and male agents were also smiling and kind while helping other customers.

Then Sean walked straight in from outside and called me right over. So professional, kind and knowledgeable. Sounds corny but it was like being in a dream. We finished and Sean walked me out to the car (freshly washed)! Never had someone walk me to my car. She walked around the outside with me checking for any previous dents etc (none), showed me how to get to the exit. I started the car and noticed it was warm inside! They warmed up the car! It was 43° outside and toasty warm inside.

You guys rock! Kudos to ALL working DTW the morning of pickup 11/24/22 and 11/26/22 the morning of my return (car receivers, bus mgr/coordinator). Again, everyone so professional. Thank you. Because of my agent Sean and the atmosphere of everyone Enterprise will now be a preferred rental car company and I will tell everyone I know. Please find and acknowledge my agent Sean. She is awesome!

Disastrous Experience with Enterprise - Lies, Overbooking, and a $300 Loss:

If I could give Enterprise zero stars, I would. My friend and I recently experienced a catastrophic series of blunders at an Enterprise in Las Vegas, which ultimately cost us over $300 more than our initial reservation.

We had made a car reservation well ahead of time for Sunday, 1 PM on March 12th, and even confirmed it in person on Saturday. We were assured by an employee that our car was "100% confirmed" and available. Yet, when we showed up five minutes early the following day, we were told there was no car due to overbooking and car shortages.

We spent three agonizing hours waiting for any vehicle, only to be left stranded when the location closed without providing any assistance. The employee refused all our proposed solutions and couldn't offer any help besides putting us on a "waitlist."

We ended up booking a more expensive car at the St George, Utah Enterprise and shelling out $225.60 for round-trip bus tickets between Las Vegas and St. George. This entire fiasco cost us an extra $315.

I should mention that my friend who booked the car both the Branch and Area Manager of Enterprise three weeks ago, and he is still waiting for a response.

By the way, I reached out to *******@enterprise.com only to be ghosted by the branch manager. I responded to a voicemail from Miguel, the branch manager, with both a call and text, only to never receive a response. Avoid this business location at all costs

I feel compelled to write this review, they pushed my hands. On March 4th, 2023, I booked a round trip ticket to travel outside of the country to return on the 6th. Since it was a quick trip, I figure it was financially sound to leave my rental car from Sixt at the airport given the length of my trip. Little did I know I would run into some trouble to comeback. Essentially, I went over the rental agreement which turns me into a fugitive according to their rental procedures. With little options that I have left, I went online and booked a reservation with Enterprise rent-a-car for Friday the 17th of March to be picked on or around 3:00 PM. On my way to the location, I received a call from Darcy, and she alleged there was no car available, and they had to modify my reservation. Since I was close by at the time I received the call, I decided to stop by to ask if they would have any car beyond my schedule pick up. The gentleman took my number and called sometime around 5:00 PM to advise me that they could not accommodate me for that day. I called Uber for a ride home that day with my daughter and picked up the car on Saturday. It is worth noting, the same person, Darcy S., processed the transaction that day. Here is the confusion, they charged me for the day the car was not available and accused me of stealing. As we speak, no one from corporate or otherwise would answer the phone or give me an explanation. As much as $73 is more like a $1000 for me at this time, the notion that I tried to rip them off is beyond the pale and a gut punch.I do have my Uber receipt that showed the driver took me to that location to borrow a car that day from someone who was at work.

Enterprise Suspicious rental at Edmonton Airport
January 31, 2023

January 17,2023 - I went to pick up my rental which was some type of crossover. There was a very articulated and eccentric representative, who immediately told me I had been upgraded to a brand new red jeep. The entire scenario seemed rush and off putting. He brought me to the jeep, didn't tell me anything about damage and didn't comment on the large amount of very small rock chips on the front windshield. When I got in the door and said something along the lines of, that windshield has seen better days, he disregarded the comment and told me to have a good trip and went inside. I thought the whole thing was strange, so I took pictures of the windshield. Fast forward to January 20,2023. I received an email from Enterprises loss prevention telling me they are submitting a claim against me. I called twice, and was eventually told that there was a cracked windshield when I returned the vehicle. I submitted pictures of the cracked windshield to get the conversation started, haven't heard anything but have heard numerous complaints from others that this exact same thing happened to them, only for it to be brought up months down the road once evidence has been deleted, and their contracts have been shredded. I'm hoping to resolve this, as I do have timestamped pictures just after 11 am, in the parking lot immediately after being shown the car which clearly show the rock chips that were present on the car. I have no doubt in my mind that this gentleman is committing fraud and most likely was at fault somewhere down the line when he decided to magically upgrade me to a brand new car that was conveniently rushed, and waiting directly outside of the doors and not in a typical parking spot.

My name is Silvia, on June 12,2021 I rented a car on Middle Village 65-20 Metropolitan Ave, New York *******. I never experience something like this before, I had rented cars before but with this incident i will not provide them with my services anymore. I'm writing this review so that you could learn from my experienced. On Saturday when i pick up the car, before leaving the premises we inspect the car but i only check for body scratches and dents never look at the mirror or Headlights or back lights for Scratches. I didn't worry anyway cause i had taken the insurance for any accident or scratches or dents on the car. Well on Tuesday June 15,2021 when returning the car I had someone bring in the car for me. When returning the car and the girl make her inspection right away she said that there is damage on the car and that she had to put claim thru my insurance for a scratch on the headlight which i feel this was a set up cause this damage was done there. How come she right away went straight to there and accused me for that incident. I was very upset and had to leave work and come there to speak with them but she didn't want to hear anything. I even call the cops to help me out and take a report and they didn't even want to resolved anything with me or the cops. I felt discriminated. I'm writing this review to help people for future to make sure they go over everything. This will be last time that i will give them my business and will try my best to let everyone else know. I'm going to do a lawsuit against them and dispute any claims being made towards my insurance. I don't understand what was the purpose to add insurance to the car for any incident and this is what i get from enterprise. I'm also reporting them to Better business bureau. I'm gonna make sure they lose customer for their bad negligence. This is not a good Car rental at all if being discriminated this way. I had rented car before and never experienced anything like this in my life.

Wish I could give 0 stars! Long story short, reserved car, received confirmation 3 weeks prior to rental pick up. Day and time of rental, went to said location (downtown Buffalo NY) was told "out of cars, over booked". Called Enterprise customer service, was told several other locations had cars available. Went to said locations, NO CARS AVAILABLE. (We had a family vacation planned, bags packed, just need to grab car). Anyways, finally find location with cars available, (2+ hours driving and calling). Cassidi Dunn, *******800, assistant manager. Told me they didn't have the vehicle I reserved (yet 3 on lot). Said I could get more experience vehicle, 3 TIMES THE PRICE! When I told her that wasn't acceptable... SHE CANCELLED MY ENTIRE RESERVATION! When confronted, she said "you said you didn't want it"... I didn't want vehicle at 3+ times the price. Horrible customer service, not sure why she even works there! I went to the airport location, they were helpful and assure me, Dave the manager would call first thing in the morning. NO CALL, NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL!

Enterprise - Vampires of the Industry
I looked online for rental prices for Enterprise. Then I called the local office. We discussed their prices vs the online prices so that I could choose the lowest price. I asked for any hoopty they had because price point is my bottom line. (Online prices, according to the employees, are most certainly the lowest) I was told the price included a $300 deposit, which I would receive back at the end of the rental if there was no damage. I asked the employee to put that price on a contract with 11 days rental, and come get me once school was done. He said he would.
An hour plus of waiting, I call to discover that this employee left at half a day. I had been forgotten. Eventually someone came to get me.
After another lengthy wait at the store, my car was presented to me, and on their ipad I was shown a box to sign — $600 ($300 for rental, $300 for deposit). I was not shown the contract prices, nor were they discussed. So I was happy! I had our previously discussed terms in my head.
A few days later, I visited a car lot 2 hours away from my house, bought a car, and delivered my rental (4 days early from the 11 days I rented) to the nearby Enterprise office.
The next morning I discover that Enterprise had only set up my rental for 4 days, at more than double the rate I was quoted, and that now my $300 deposit had been used up. They also said "One way delivery" - meaning if you return a vehicle to a different Enterprise Office than where you picked it up, will cost you another $300.
Don't bother talking to someone. They have no mercy, and will not budge. They'll apologize profusely (while they slit ur throat to bleed you dry).
I wish I could say this is my only bad experience with them, but then I'd have to lie!

After been a long-time customer (20 yrs) for Enterprise rent-a-car, today they refused to give me a pick up ride. This happened at a branch in Edmonton Alberta at this location: Edmonton Ellerslie; 1330 CALGARY TRAIL SW; EDMONTON, AB T6W 1A1
They said they were short on staff and couldn't give me a ride to the rental location. I requested to speak with the supervisor, but the supervisor hung up on me. He stated, "It is your responsibility, not ours, to pick up the vehicle from our location. You are 17 minutes away from us and we are unable to pick you up." And he just dropped the phone on me. He did not care a bit. This was extremely impolite and unprofessional. I felt like I was doing business with some street gangsters. They told me when I booked the car for business a week ago, that they would pick me up (give me a ride) from that location. As a matter of fact, they duped me into thinking that they would fully serve me as a customer. They did not! This was the most unprofessional conduct I've ever witnessed from a car rental company and from Enterprise itself.

I genuinely think Enterprise should fire all of the employees at that branch and replace them with new employees who have been trained in customer service. It's a total failure and despicable behaviour. Even in developing countries, where I have previously travelled for business, I have not encountered this type of behaviour like the staff of this branch. I will never rent a car from you again, and I urge everyone reading this message to do the same.

Rented a vehicle trusting a reliable and safe trip for vacation paying a little over $500 for a 4 day stay. Car seem like had an oil change they didn't put much effort into looking over the work. The drive was good yet it kept smelling like
Something was burning. Leaving oil puddles on a car stop thinking it was just water from
The ac. Woke up to pack the car to head to Ohare airport and the vehicle had zero oil left. I called several times from 11 am until after 3 pm. Getting no one to actually hear me out the inconvenience my concern the fact that I was going to be late and chances of loosing my flight not having a ride back to airport from Milwaukee.I spoke to so many representatives from customer service the branch the tow company. Everyone concerned for
Only the vehicle and not me who paid for
The rental at the time overwhelmingly stressed out not having any way to help myself. Expecting help from
Enterprise due to their lack of car inspection didn't help with no Uber no car replacement to get to my flight over an hour away from where we were stuck. Over two hours of
Calls at that moment on top of all other calls before that. Unfortunately the company picking up rental and leaving me and my family stuck, needing to figure out expenses to get to airport. Unless rental was picked up (2hourslater) they had no solution for us not considering the time limit we had to get to our destination. I wanted to be listened the least have compassion to our problem your car caused us to have having to figure out my own solution despite spending so much on the rental. Not including taking it to a shop where I had to pay 5 quarts of oil. Still two days later waiting on manager that supposed to be calling to help with a reimbursement considering it was a 3 horrifying days with the rental paying for 4 days and the reimbursement for the oil paid out of pocket/ the time the inconvenience for
The stress and having to pay our way back to the airport. Never have I felt not important enough to such a well known company/ knowing one less customer won't hurt them at all/
Yet the experience and the nightmare of a vacation we had will be stuck w us forever. SO NOW WHAT?

This location was open from 9am to 1pm. Why would Enterprise schedule 70 reservations in 4 hrs and have a staff of 4 employees? We arrived at 9am to check in. The line was 20 deep? Your rep that handles the reservation lied and reported it would take hours to debark from the cruise. It took less than an hour. Reservation was registered at Noon - should have been at 9am but your rep was incorrect. WAITED in front of that hotel from 9AM to 1:45PM, thats right 4hrs and 45 minutes, AFTER your business closed, when they finally gave us a car with no gas in and we barley arrived at Fort Lauderdale Airport as the with the gas light was on? The manager did NOTHING to make anything work, just sat at his desk and closed the door at 1pm and turned off the lights, let the other 2 poor employees take all of the wrath and complaining from all those stranded at this $#*! hole of an Enterprise Location, what a disaster Enterprise caused so many people, the point is if you want the 70 reservations, especially at a off site, where you have to retrieve the cars, you should be properly staffed to accommodate paying customers and not make excuses that you are understaffed.

No way to run a business as you manager is an idiot in customer relations and staffing.

APALLING!
March 11, 2024

Hired a car... it wasn't the model I asked for and it stank of stale fags. They showed me round it in the dark forecourt, so I could hardly see anything. But I was desperate to get something to see family just before Christmas.

When I returned it, they used a light to show me a LIGHT SURFACE scratch on a door. I hadn't touched anything driving it, so either it was already there when I hired it, or else it happened when parked in a shopping centre. Whichever, Enterprise told me they would charge me £2,000 for it YES, TWO THOUSAND POUNDS!

I hadn't taken out their insurance as I am a careful driver and have never had an accident in over 40 years of driving. They had told me that the excess was £2,000 initially but my understanding has always been that excess means you pay for a maximum of that amount, not a minimum and they gabbled away at me so fast it was pretty impossible to follow what they were saying. Eventually, they said the amount would be around £1,300 as a special favour for which they could supposedly get in trouble.

Even so, I looked it up on the Internet and I could have bought a whole replacement door for much, much less. Furthermore, a local friend had had 3 deep gouges taken out of the back of their car and were only charged £300 for fixing it.

A TOTAL RIP-OFF by con artists and, I will never know, but wouldn't surprised if they had a nice little number going with the local bodywork repair garage to split the massive overcharge.

Extremely unprofessional!
April 10, 2023

I rented a car from enterprise in Johnson city TN for a week due to my current vehicle having to undergo some serious mechanical fixes. I let them know up front that i may have to rent a week at a time as I didn't know when I was going to have another vehicle. I have them my card information and a $300 refundable deposit.

First week went fine, second week I called and talked to a gentleman who confirmed my rental for another week and ran my card. He stated if there were any problems he would call. I never checked my card to see if he had charged it. I assumed everything was ok since I didn't hear back. Well, I'm not sure what happened but I get a nasty letter from the regional manager stating I had to return the car within 7 days or else And from the wording of the letter it was a bit threatening.

It came across as if I stole the car. I immediately called enterprise. They told me my account was locked and gave me a number to call to get it fixed. I called and no one ever called me back. I then get a call from another number a woman stating I needed to return the car that very same day. No explanation nothing! I still have no idea what the heck happened. This lady stated the company tried to get a hold of me numerous times but wasn't able to.

The number they had was a number I've never heard of. They never emailed me or called my number no communication at all! I still do not know what the heck happened and was left without a vehicle because I told them if they wanted it they can come get it. I had no other way to get a ride home. So now I can't go to work and am stuck hiring a taxi to give me a ride. I would never ever rent from them again nor recommend them to anyone! I've rented from enterprise for many many years and NEVER been mistreated as badly as this place has done to me. They are crooked and unprofessional!'nn

The Enterprise customer service (a car Rental) at (891 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale) is really terrible!

First: they rented me a dirty, strong smelly car. I called them the next day and asked for a replacement, and the rep replied that I would call you if I had one, but they never called me again. Can't they found a car within 3 weeks?

Second, the representative completely ignored my request, and let alone abide by their promise. Regarding the payment method, I made it very clear to the staff or the representative at Enterprise from beginning that I would pay by credit card instead of debiting my bank account. At least three of their staff promised me that it was totally fine, no problem at all. To make sure they didn't make a mistake, I went to their store 3-4 times. Until the day of settlement/closing the account and the next day, they were still saying it was no problem when I confirmed with them again.

But when I found out that they had deducted the money from my bank account, and I went to the store to ask the manager, then she just said "sorry, I can't return your money back because your Account has been closed". I don't know why she didn't tell me earlier or before closing my account? This makes me very angry!
I'm pissed that they debited my bank account in such a deceptive way. Even though I went to their store several times to confirm in person, they still didn't tell me the truth (they had debited from my bank account). Enterprise representatives are expected to deliver on their promises to customers, not break their promises.

They don't have any explanation to me. I still don't understand why they do this. It's may be the staff don't know how to treat customers? Deliberately disregarding or disrespecting the basic requests of customers? Don't know basic payment operations? If they used to get a lot of good reviews, they were discriminating against me. They wasted my time and energy. I need a refund. They must be held accountable for their mistakes, not just say Sorry.

I rented a car in Chamblee GA (Nov 28-29) for a 24 hr period while my car was being repaired. Went shopping, went out to dinner, and returned the car first thing in the morning. The agent took a look at the car and said I had damaged a piece of plastic on the bumper. I responded that I had no knowledge of any damage. He reminded me that I looked at the vehicle before leaving and did not bring it to his attention. I told him that you have to lean over to see the plastic in question, molded into the bumper. It is a reflector. He then told me he could show me pictures of the vehicle that would show the damage was not there when I left. After 45 minutes of waiting, he could not come up with any pictures. He said I would be contacted by Damage Recovery. I told him that since he could not produce any pictures proving the car was intact, I should not be held liable.
I just got email from the Damage Recovery ( Marlo Bergstrom) - Here is their/her response, and I quote "We do not have photos of the vehicle before it was rented out, as that is not part of protocol. This damage was not documented on the initial rental agreement once the walk around is done. The policy and procedure for a rental agreement, is if the rental vehicle has a change of condition while in the renters possession, the renter is found responsible."
I have researched on the web and it seems Enterprise does this often enough to where a search comes up for it. Stay away from Enterprise...you are guilty until proven innocent.
