Spent a long time completing all of their forms/tests. Was told at the end "Not everyone has a match." Perhaps true, but also cruel.
They closed my account for no reason, and can't be reached for comment. Refused to refund any funds. Very shady company do not deal with them.
Just got off phone with an E-HARMONY verified representative who stated that. They only have ONE person in Tech support and he is not in all day every day, LIKE TODAY.
What a scam
No service. Provided 4 matches in month versus daily elsewhere. By time you find out can't cancel. Very rude. Don't waste your time or money.
Hi Joan - four matches a month seems very low. I'd like to look into your account to maker sure there are no issues. Can you please contact me at membercare@eharmony.com? - Stephen
Member for over a year. Not one woman was interested in me near or far away. Save your money go somewhere close to home but not eharmony.
If I could I would give it 0. Mostly scammers. Bad customer service. Lack of transparency. Terrible be careful to subscription tricks by the company
Read there cancellation policy thru very well, was on for 4 days and they still wanted to charge me $400.00 for the service
Never will I refer a friend. Lot's of scammers, and jut plain rude. Do they look in the mirror? Very, very disappointed.
This by far is the worst dating site. They set me up on automatic renewal with out my consent and will not refund the money or even close my account.
They refused to cancel my membership when l saw the matches they sent even after extending filters! A scam! Horrible experience
Don't waste your time or money. Too many phony women who play games, and really don't want to meet. E-harmony sucks.
This company is a real rip off the same picture are showing over and over. Once they have your money what can you do. So don't do it..
I will start by saying that I've never completed a review or complaint against any product or service I've ever used. Generally, even if customer service doesn't give me a satisfactory answer, they do it in an acceptable way and I've never been pushed to the point of needing to warn others against something. Until eharmony.
First, the website is difficult and cumbersome to navigate. Not user friendly at all.
Second, they force you to choose an impossible geographic distance. It's simply not practical to meet people who are outside of your community, unless you have the ability to relocate. I don't believe that's an option for most people, yet they encourage, and I'd even say force you to choose impossible distances. The customer service rep told me that, at a minimum, I should be looking for matches 120 miles away. Ludicrous!
Third, I've never experienced such outright rude customer service. I believe they've scripted messages because they know people will be unhappy with the service and want to cancel. The customer service agent actually told me "tough luck!" And he seemed to enjoy being able to do so. He was humiliating, condescending, and it was shocking to be spoken to that way.
Fourth, The subscription policy is a trap. You have three days to cancel your subscription or you are accountable for the full amount. You can't cancel or change after three days. However, you can't fully set up your account and get to know the site within 3 days, because they put you through endless questions. You'll be trapped in the "contract" before you've even had a chance to see that you're not satisfied. I believe they've set the system up purposely. Even if you are successful in meeting someone, you can't cancel your subscription.
Lastly, after reading the other reviews, I'm now afraid they will continue to charge me even after my subscription is up. This is a disreputable company in ever sense of the word. They know they've got you, and I honestly believe they're happy to have ripped you off.
Please avoid this company and tell all your single friends to do the same.
Their site SUCKS!
I'm expected to pay HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS for months-long memberships?
Why can't I pay a premium for a month-to-month, or even 3 month account?
Why is the minimum 6 months?
What happens if I meet someone? Do I get a refund?
And paying to be able to even see another member's PICTURES?
Why?
Oh, it's to help people maintain their 'privacy'?
THEN WHY IN THE HELL WOULD THEY BE ON A DATING SITE?
I thought this was eHarmony, not "Adulterers.com"!
And the questions...? Oh, God!
EVERY possible response is at some extreme end of the spectrum!
For example: They asked how I'd feel about a date using a coupon.
The 3 possible responses they gave me were:
"Horrified"
"They're smart with money"
And "This is our last date"
What about those of us who wouldn't care one way or the other?
It went on for supposedly 1,200+ questions!
I answered 10, deleted 20, then gave up.
I canceled my account within an hour after signing up.
I refuse to give those scam artists a dime of my money.
CRAPPY SITE! Plain & simple!
-Slaughter
BEWARE! I canceled my auto renewal only to discover it was turned back on and I was charged hundreds! This site is a money hungry scam!
This is the worst. Way over priced and the only matches in my area were after a sugar daddy. Dumb questions in there profile evaluation section.
I REALL HOPE THAT SOMEONE SUES EHARMONY IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SO THAT WE ALL CAN GET OUR MONEY BACK. I JUST WENT TO THE "PLUS ONE" ON MY ACCOUNT AND IT WAS LITERALLY THE SAME GUY WITH A DIFFERENT NAME AND LOCATION. PUC AFTER PUC IT WAS THE SAME GUY WITH A DIFFERENT NAME AND LOCATION. THIS SCAMMING OLD BASTARD HAS MADE MILLIONS LYING TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MEET SOMEONE. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF SOME OF THESE PEOPLE DON'T WIRK FOR EHARMONY OR THEY ARE STEALING PICTURES OFF THE INTERNET AND CREATING FAKE PROFILES. THIS IS WHY NO ONE EVER RESPONDS TO YOUR PROFILE BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE DON'T EXHIST! THIS IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST SCAMS IN HISTORY. LET'S SUE HIS $#*!!
Same faces over the past ten months, the matches were not within my preference guidelines, waste of money..
Hi Brenda - you should definitely be getting new matches regularly. I'd like to look into that for you. Also, if you have received a match that is outside your current Match Preferences, this is most likely a Flex Match. Flex matches are created when anything other than “Very Important” is selected under your Importance setting.
Contact me at membercare@eharmony.com and we can look into this to make sure all is well with your account.- Stephen
My parents met on eharmony… now they are divorced. Hopefully u r willing to pay for my weekly therapy sessions. My Venmo is tiffany gunn
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
