I paid extra to rent an automatic. Rental day comes and no car is available. I submitted a claim that day and here we are, 28 days later with no refund. Run-around stall tactics. Totally unprofessional and unethical behavior.

Your website is very unfriendly and confusing.
The refund should not be with your company credit. You keep the customer hostage if their plans change for any reason. You loose for the future. You should not afraid of thier return if you belive your service id good.

At our arrival, the rental company just didn't accept my debit card as security deposit for an unknow reason! That's never happened to me with the 4 last rental companies i used. So to avoid the security deposit, they forced me to buy an expensive "full coverage insurance" who's totally useless because i have an insurance included with my debit card. I explained them for hours but they would do anything for help and just said, "if you cancel, you lose your pre payment.
It's just a scam and they totaly know it, they said that happend often!
I wish you can offer me a compensation for this terrible experience!

This company is a big scam regarding the full coverage insurance purchased from them. The insurance you buy from them is not recognized by the rental company and you end up paying for the insurance once more when you pick up the car. So if you choose to rent a car through them, I advise you not to buy any insurance from them because it is a waste of money and the insurance must be bought directly from the company that rents the car. Unfortunately, I didn't know this and paid the insurance twice

When I arrived there, I did not find anyone in the company with which the car was reserved, and I had to visit them in the morning. They assured me that there was no reservation and that this company had a lot of problems with us. When I contacted them trying to recover the amount paid, they told me that I could not do that because it was my fault, and this is of course a reason to laugh. We hired an SUV for 10 days around Tassie. Booking was hassle free and the car as per what we ordered. Insurance was a bit confusing. Book insurance direct with the car company when u collect the car as economy bookings are the middle man and if ur insurance is with them then u need to pay any damages up front and then claim back.
Wow price was very good,lots of cars to choose from. Couldn't ask for anything better, thank you so much economy booking!

Booked a rental through them for a van at Orlando airport. When we arrived the rental company, AZ Rentals, was not at the airport, did not answer any calls, and left us stranded. I had to get a rental from a legitimate rental company that was actually permitted and licensed to operate at the airport. When AZ rentals finally answered the phone the next day, they said to get a refund from EconomyBookings. When I reached out to EconomyBookings they replied with a big f-you, claiming I had cancelled my rental, and failed to pickup the vehicle.

Stay away from EconomyBookings.com, their "free cancellation" is not free. If you cancel your booking, you will get a "credit" on their eWallet. That amount can only be used for future bookings. If you want to withdraw that amount to get a refund on your credit card, they are charging you an hefty administrative fee of 60 euros to do so.
I admit that I did a mistake when a booked my rental. I booked the car at the wrong Rome airport. But the car wasn't available at the other Rome airport, so a credit would be useless to me right now. I simply booked too fast with fear of missing out on a great deal. However, I realized my mistake minutes after booking and it was already too late... there is no "grace" period where you can cancel and get a credit card refund without paying any fees... its all or nothing with that website.
Overall, its a bad experience, with misleading information, abusive fees, and bad faith from the customer service who just send you to their cancellation policy (which is definitely not a common practice and requires some digging).
Don't get trapped, don't lock your money on their platform, use another platform.
Their customer service will not help you get a full refund. They will simply reply with links and pre-made template and evasive answers. You will have the worst time communicating with them.
(Note: I'll modify or delete my review if they come to their senses and offer a full refund without asking any fees / reducing my refund amount)

Generally I had a good experience with Economy Bookings as usual. But it would be really great to improve the part related to full coverage and the extra charges.
Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
