Asked beforehand if item allowed to sell, it was filled out seller information got restricted, support refused to help me saying they cannot tell me why or can help even though i was told i was allowed to sell it and filled every information
I was selling an old book for 1$ and due to all their fees I ended up owing $0.03 by the end. They really just want everyone to lose money on their site. Sold for 1$ shipping was 3.49, fee was 1.03. Hence I got 3.46 for sale but had to pay 3.49. They literally don't want us to make money.
Although there are great sellers on Ebay, customer service is non existent, if you need to speak to someone to resolve an issue! There is absolutely no person waiting to help you! No computer either. They set guidelines and if your issue can't be settled within those guidelines you are SOL! I've purchased on ebay for 20 years, but I have never sold anything. There were some issues that I couldn't get past without speaking to someone. That never happened! I sold my item but couldn't follow through because ebay decided how much to charge the buyer for shipping and it was a fraction of what shipping was going to cost. I couldn't ship because I had no money. I couldn't cancel because ebay was holding the money that was paid. I kept very much in contact with the buyer and explained everything that was going on and asked them to request a refund on their end. Because you can't talk to a person and have to follow a guideline only to cancel a purchase, ebay banned me permanently from selling! That's fine with me! It was my first time selling. I didn't understand and I never could get any kind of help whatsoever! I want my whole account deleted! I'm done with ebay for good! And I can't even delete my account OR my debit card OR bank account! So now I'm going to have to close that account and open a new one! Ebay does not need my bank info! I'm not selling or buying a thing from them ever again! I can't believe they are even still in business, they way the ARE NOT THERE!
As you can see, I was permanently suspended from eBay within 20 minutes of creating my account. I attempted one purchase. Returned later to check on the bidding status and received the permanent suspension message instead. Maybe I was buying from an untrustworthy seller? I do not know because when contacting them they refused to give specifics stating it leaves ways for people like me who pose a risk to the eBay community to circumvent their community standards in the future. They said I had a pattern that showed I posed a risk to the community and could never be reinstated. I explained I had just made the account literally less than 20 minutes prior and have never had an eBay account before so I was confused how I could have a pattern of risking the community. They essentially responded with, "and you will never have an eBay account again," but in paragraph form. Before I could ask further questions I was literally told, "have a nice life outside of eBay and stay warm" and then they ended communications immediately.
Usually I don't write reviews.
In fact, this is my first review on this site.
But I need to warn people to avoid eBay as much as possible.
They banned my account for no reason at all. I entered in contact with their customer support and they refused to give me the reason behind my ban. Thankfully I didn't have any money in the website, but I worry for any seller who might suddenly lose their livelihood and hard work.
Avoid them. There are better places.
Items purchased ($300 ish) and delivered to the incorrect address has taken over a week with still no refund. All steps taken with letting Ebay know it was shipped to the wrong address... reaching out to the seller... asking for the refund... providing evidence showing it was shipped to the wrong address... to only be denied by Ebay the refund. Just complete stupidity at this point. ITS THE WRONG ADDRESS... JUST CHECK THE DAM CREDIT CARD BILLING. Now I'm practically begging the seller and showing him the evidence daily praying for a refund. At this point its stolen funds with no items delivered.
As far as Ebay having any type of consumer protection for items purchased through their site... they are a 0 at best.
Package said delivered and I never received the item. Called EBay next day closed my case because seller had proof item shipped. What does that have to do with my item being lost or stolen. Never once said seller never shipped. Contacted my credit card company to inform them. Got resolved. EBay doesn't care wether you receive your package or not and they are not considerate when it comes to helping you find out what happened to the package. They are so quick to close it out. For that reason I won't be buying off EBay. I'll stick with Amazon.
This company is stealing money from you... I sold an item paying all the fees for boosting and they deduct $620 off my selling. I lost money selling the item and their customer service instead to help you is only fooling you saying that they will do something about and giving you an update but they don't. After this I will never sell anything else through them. They are thief. I will never recommend this website to anyone.
I received definitely item I open case the seller give me refund and ebay send me note said I don't have right to open case and it's out policy I got definitely item and not in seller description then seller give me refund after I text him message see the ebay message guys
Activity on your account didn't follow our Abusive buyer policy. Buyers may not misuse feedback, returns, buyer protection programs, or payment dispute processes.
Ebay has become a dreadful experience. I warn anyone to be cautious both buying and selling.
Also Ebay's fees now around 11% and they are putting a hold even on accredited, good sellers.
Try Gumtree or other creditable marketplaces.
Ebay has become an awful experience
Bought an item from dotandbo_us. The item was delivered to the wrong address so I advised them I need a refund they said they would refund me the money but charged me again instead. When I brought this to their attention they only issued one refund and refuse to issue my other refund and advised me to contact ebay which is useless you cannot even speak to a live person, I will never buy anything again! The screenshots show the original purchase and then the second charge and only one refund being submitted.
WARNING TO SELLERS:
EBay has been letting USPS help themselves to my money with bogus charges. The last one was $10.08 added to a small book (under a pound) that cost $3.92 to ship. EBay says they know it's a mistake, but let them charge me anyway. EBay says I have to take it up with the PO, but I can't file a claim because it's media mail and when I drove over the manager at my location looked at the tracking and said there were NO changes made by the USPS, so is eBay lying? Who knows?
EBay and UKDEALS, a seller on eBay are criminals.
I ordered three products from UKDeals on eBay. They claimed the carrier could not find my address! Amazon delivers to my doorstep a few times a week, UPS, FEDEX, USPS somehow can locate me, but UKDeals says they couldn't locate my address? As a result they refunded one of the three orders. They refunded the one for $25 and kept my money for the one that was greater than $50.
I escalated this at eBay and within an hour eBay found for the Seller with absolutely NO explanation at all. WHY, because eBay makes a lot more money from UKDeals than it does from me!
BOYCOTT eBAY until they are reminded that they are there for the consumer and their Buyers Guarantee is a complete lie until they remember who is ultimately funding their vacation homes!
Horrible experience never received product, and not going to refund me, I will never purchase anything through Ebay, they need to go out of buisness.
I'm a seller since 2016. I verified all my account info then and again in 2018. Now present day they need me to upload my id and bank info. To which I did and they sent me verification then rejected it. I then sent the documentation an additional 14 times spoke w chat and four different customer service reps who only gave the remedy of o just wait longer. They make things very difficult or take 14 business days to verify documents to already established accounts in hopes the seller will give up and they can keep the funds. They do not care about resolving the issue. They say just wait longer. They wouldn't send an email to the department that verified documents because they said no one can contact them. Sounds like a scam. After 6 yrs I have to upload documents 14 times to a department that isn't even able to be reached and you have to wait 14 business days or an infinite amount of time before they will care. I bet if eBay held the workers pay like they do sellers they would be adamant about resolving this instead of just telling a seller o just wait. This department we have no way to contact will get to it at some point and if they don't in 14 business days then call back and we will do nothing but tell you to wait cause we can't contact them anyways. Way to say $#*! you to all your sellers.
I have been using Ebay for 17 years and today is when I stop and stop recommending it to people as well. I'll try to keep it short; I sold a computer for a vehicle 100% working, had in the listing in 2 different spots that said to please make sure this is for your vehicle before purchasing because once programmed its not returnable, sold it, 3 weeks later the buyer opened a case stating "wrong item received". Reached out to the buyer and he admitted to not only saying it was the correct one from the listing but that he programed it to his truck then after realizing its not the cpc for his truck. So ebay made me do the return and refund the buyer and now have a worthless computer thats supposed to be worth $4k-$6k
Thanks Ebay!
I had ordered from here and never received my order. My carrier reported my package delivered when it wasn't. I filed a claim with the carrier and they refunded my order but ebay won't follow through on their side of sending them the paperwork. Ebay wants to hold on to my money and make as if my business is only with the carrier when they are the one holding my refund.
Return a bk I got for $18, my Refund was $6, $12 shipping, got same book $13 +$4.49 shipping. Ebay is deceitful and preying
Banned after 13 years all because I made a cancellation request after placing an order. Crazy how companies can treat people like this
THEY BANNED MY ACCOUNT FOR NO REASON NOW I CANT PAY MY BILLS AND THAT WAS THE ONLY HOPE I HAD! I WILL GET YOU FUC KING EBAY!
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
Buy and sell electronics, cars, fashion apparel, collectibles, sporting goods, digital cameras, baby items, coupons, and everything else on eBay, the world's online marketplace
