Order was placed on April 15, delivery was promised on April 21. Item has not arrived five days later, so attempt to contact customer service was made. THERE IS. OT SUCH THING AS CUSTOMER SERVICE with E-bay. Being bounced around on several sites, contacting seller is not possible, it is a very frustrating jer-around. Every company, even small ones, have a means of contacting live customer service. NEVER again order from E-bay!
I lost money because the site is messed up. It claims you can't reply to the sellers because the conversation is over 90 days old when it's an ongoing conversation. Ebay does nothing to protect customers from shady sellers.
Started as a NEW customer, ordered a car part I needed. Seller received my money, I received the part. A day later my account was not only suspended, but completely shut down! Chatted, emailed, called by phone, yet got NO UNDERSTANDABLE EXPLANATION, and no chance to figure out the problem, or any solution. Their "algorithm " detected something is all I was told. SCREW EBAY!
Awful. Too complicated, too unfriendly interface and too time consuming.
This from a member since 2002. The site has been ruined, too many changes and just too many pages to navigate to get to somewhere. The search is a joke the placing of an advert bogged down with item specifics. Putting more and more on facebook.
Do not! Do not use ebay, they suspend your account with no reason, and they won't pay you the pending money you made.
Ebay has updated their policies to where at any time for any reason or with no reason at all they can permenantly suspend your account. This also means any sales you've made that are pending in your account will NEVER be paid out until they lift the suspension. #1 This is illegal. You cant hold others hard earned money and never release it to them. #2 I called eBay myself and spoke with someone who told me they have no idea why they suspended my account and that everything looks great. She insisted that it was Ebay's choice for whatever reason. When I asked to know what the reason may be, she denied my question and said sorry thats just eBay's decision. I looked dit up and apparently sellers who have sole thousands of items in the past with 5 stars also got permanently suspended for NO REASON. Do not use this as a selling app! They are sketchy and a waste of time to sell on this platform.
I had Ebay for a few weeks, just buying a couple of things. Nothing goes wrong, HOWEVER whenever *I* try to sell something? PERMANENT BAN and absolutely no explanation as to why, just "We feel you pose a risk to our community" I was just trying to sell a stupid headset and it asks for my SSN, I did NOT put it in, there was on option to do that when the item sells. For some reason after I clicked it, it didn't even post my listing, AND it says "We can't confirm your identity so try again later" What happens later? I get an email saying my account was suspended and can no longer use Ebay. By the way not the first time this happens, in fact this was my second account that got banned from them. My first account it went the same way, except I thought it was because in the listing I kept forgetting to add information. But this time I made sure I put as much info on the item as possible, so the only thing I *did wrong* was not put in my SSN, which how could I? With how unreliable Ebay is, I'm sure even if I DID put my info they would have STILL banned me. No I will not use Ebay ever again, which is unfortunate, as there are many items there that are for cheap, but getting items for cheap is not worth the crappy customer service. That's another thing, on my first account I had emailed them at least 4 times asking for them to reconsider or explain why, they give me automated messages and don't even reconsider or explain. So yeah, Ebay is extremely unreliable and lazy, will look for another alternative for this.
I never really imaged the vast selection of books they carry. They have many booksite co that they work with
I bought this Corolla dashboard cover.the sun melted it into my dashboard. That's how bad it looks in bout 6months. How do i get my dashboard fixed now? This product is going to damage more peoples dashboards...I'm really not happy bout this product...now i have more damage in shorter time then i would have in long run without it.Was so happy on my 2016 Corolla to make it nice. Then this product messed up my happiness
I have gotten some great items from eBay but I've also been ripped off probably the same amount of times. The worst part is the drop shippers. I ordered a lamp and it came back with a tracking number from Amazon, so I look up the lamp on Amazon and I realized I paid 12$ extra dollars for a drop shipper to place the order on Amazon for me. Then the idiot gives me the wrong tracking number that says it was delivered and handed to someone named Sheldon, so I wasted time arguing with ups on the phone thinking they delivered my item to the wrong address. What a mess! Shopping on eBay is a gamble. Be sure to check rating and look up the products on Google to see if you can get them cheaper elsewhere, because if you can then you know the item is being drop shipped. (look up drop shipping if you don't know what it is).
AVOID AVOID AVOID, agreed with everyone.zero if could! Rude, arrogant bunch of con artists...forced me into a business account and kept getting scammed because of it...ebay showed no compassion or remorse, let alone liability.seriously screw these guys.hit them where it hurts.boycott them and there greedy pockets
Their platform help is bad, their contact is terrible and they just do not care about customers, only AI, I have been waiting 7 days for them to sort out a restriction that should not have been applied in the first instance. Their overseas call centres are useless and their senior management want to get their feet back on the ground at take a look at how the business is not functioning. It a shame they were a great platform to trade on at one point.
I sold a brand new wheelchair to a scammer who tool my wheelchair apart he even posted pics w parts in his hand and asked for refund I fought it said I had witnesses etc and this was even picked up from.me and inspected by him.Ebay granted return I never.recueved my electric wheelchair back.and they gave him refind.anyway.so he has my wheelchair and refund.ebay is disgusting and thieves and so.is this guy.i will never use them again.ive turned this man into local authorities

I tried selling an item on ebay. They charged me more in fees that the buyer paid for the item.
I contacted their customer service and all I got was "This is our policy"..."Unfortunately, you would have no recourse to refund any fees on a 'legitimate' sale".
Ebay's definition of legitimate is clearly not good business.
DO NOT SELL ON EBAY!
Broke off in me to many times. Return policy not a easy process have a extremely hard time with returns. Almost impossible to speak with a real person. Customer service providers are not helpful. Tired of the runaround.
Worst company and cheating the people with fake information, collecting money from common people by the name of commission.
Time again we attempted to sell items being offered by other sellers and eBay shuts us down. Our items were listed using the same headings and listing descriptions used by other sellers. For example, we recently listed an antique Asian snuff bottle. There were 533 other listings for the same type bottle although the designs and colors varied. EBay deleted our listing as "drug paraphernalia". The 533 other bottles remain active. Look it up.
We are in our 80's and are not drug users, period. It just happens we have a smattering of Asian collectibles.
We have bought and sold on eBay since 2001. In our opinion, there has a steady decline in eBay and it is not the Seller's friend. We are using other selling outlets as much as possible as we try to downsize.
I $#*!ing hate this app. Ive bien attempting to cash my money for 3 gaddamn weeks now. Its been noething but headaches. I sold a favorite article of mine to make rent money, something i really didnt wat to sell. But i had to and for very cheep. But now im late for rent, ebay took 20 percent for $#*!ing noething. They wont let me link my bank to cash my $#*!ing money and NOW im about to be kicked out because ebay has decided its best to hold my money for an extra 48 hours for "security precotions"? This is bull $#*!. There is no reason for this. At all.Ebay should specify to us before selling, that they only work with some bank accounts and not all. They should specify that if they for some reason don't like your bank your money will be held from you till you open a bank account they approve of.
I do not recommend this garbage store all.
I've been selling/ buying on Ebay for 15 years- I've never had issues until recently. As a seller, I sell high end items and recently was sent back an item I sold that was not authenticated because it"wasn't as described". I took detailed photos and described that the inside was dirty with no smells, and that I hadn't tried to clean it and they refused authorization saying the item was in worse description then described when that's completely false.
I then purchased a refurbished, unlocked phone and clicked the warranty option- but when I actually "bought it now" and payment went through, I saw that the warranty wasn't added. After doing research on Google, I saw that you can add insurance to an item within 30 days of the purchase date (via Allstate) it has you enter the item # and tells you such information. I went through Ebay online to add this and it gives me no option to actually purchase the insurance. I then call All-State directly, and they tell me I have to contact Ebay. I call Ebay and it's impossible to talk to a rep regarding the issue, as it refers you to go online to solve the issue (again no option to do so) I finally skirt around the subject- talk to a rep, who tells me that I only had 24 hours from purchase to add the insurance, although every link,Google search etc. says within 30 days of purchase. Being a previous loyal Ebay customer- can say I'm done. This is BS and I'm tired of being screwed over.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
Buy and sell electronics, cars, fashion apparel, collectibles, sporting goods, digital cameras, baby items, coupons, and everything else on eBay, the world's online marketplace
