EBay is ran by Scammers in my and many peoples opinion … they will charge amount of an item sold as a whole instead of the item selling amount.
Real example: I sold an item on eBay for $225…. Seller paid $ $109 for shipping plus $27 tax… which is correctly not part of the $225 if item sold. Total buyer paid was $361….yet EBay charged me 13% of the $361 instead of the $225 for processing which I ended up getting only $176 … they ripped me and all sellers off.
It's a scheme which is why the try to get you to print out and purchase a shipping label through them instead of at the post office…. It's a hella scam…. I really feel for sellers who are not aware of this trap….F-ebay

You are individual and have some personal stuff for sale? Don't bother just throw it away. Ebay will add your postage fee to Your profit and then charge you for it. EBay should be shut down for charging fees on postage this should be illegal. Why do I have to pay fee on postage when those money aren't my profit? I have to send item right?

I had been a loyal Ebay customer since early 2000 and my recent interaction with Ebay changed how I support Ebay. I started selling on Ebay for the last few years and their unethical practices/fees made me to stop doing business with them all together. Ebay's ridiculous fees charged on sellers and sky rocketed prices on all goods make them not worth shopping on their website. All of my friends had been telling that Ebay is a waste of time, now I came to the same conclusion.

I received a broken item with the wrong parts.
I requested refund. EBay told me I have to give the seller multiple chances to cooperate.
I was told to wait over a week so that the poor little seller who tried to rip me off could have a chance to do the right thing. Amazon, on the other hand, always provides a refund immediately upon request. They don't make you go to all the trouble of remembering to keep calling back. This is why bad sellers are able to keep stealing from customers because eBay basically allows it. Amazon would never think of punishing the customer instead of the bad seller

Ebay has been ripping off it's sellers for years but now they have gotten so greedy that they are ripping off their best customers and longtime members who have been there since the 90s. Such a shame to see what has happened to this once great platform. I would give them negative 5 Stars if I could.

After a recent bad experience with Ebay I decided to do a little research on what was once a great marketplace. First, Ebay only holds 3.5% of all ecommerce trade and it has been losing its share of the market. However revenue has been going up. How's this possible? By increasing it's rates and holding seller's monies for a few days before disbursement. You would absolutely amazed at how much interest can be made on several millions even if it's only a few days. The amount of money invested remains the same even though the "lenders/sellers" change. Ebay also has a problem if money has to be returned. That means they lose as well. I know of a power seller, 100% feedback on over 5,000 transactions, that had 9 returns in one year, however Ebay restricted listings and sales for an indeterminate amount of time. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. There are competitive, ethical markets out there other than Ebay. This is not new, but Ebay STRONGLY favors the buyer rather than much, if any, consideration for the seller. This was my experience and for what it's worth, I've closed all of my listings and will not post on this site ever again. Good luck if you're still listing with Ebay.

I bought an item on eBay, the item was supposedly delivered, 3 weeks late, but I never received it? I emailed the company saying I never received it, they said it was delivered. Which it wasn't. I contacted eBay because of their we'll make it right guarantee. And they refuse to refund my money also..

If you are a small seller that sells stuff that you find laying around your house, please stay away! I sold something for $3600 and EBAY kept $600 as fees, plus because you don't usually sell stuff, they keep your money as long as they want, I have 99.9% feedback as a seller and buyer, I received positive feedback from the item sold from buyer and they still don't release funds. STAY AWAY! Hopefully lots of people stop selling and they will get what they deserve!

Sitejabber lets eBay advertise on its site? There's a red flag! That's why they favor eBay give them 3 stars and say "most people are satisfied with eBay. That is not true as I know no one that will buy there anymore as cc fraud and corruption/extortion are growing daily with eBay's help. Negative feedback is deleted on high volume high revenue sellers

Google Play keeps taking money out of my accounts from PayPal. I have tried to contact eBay to know success. I've contacted Google Play to ask them to please stop taking money out of my account and to refund my money which they never did. I finally took my major card off of the account. But eBay would do zero to help me you can't even talk to a live agent anymore. The reason for that is so less people will fight for their refund. I will never use eBay again ever for no reason

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent shopping experience on eBay. I purchased the Sound Oasis sleep support insomnia world's smallest white noise machine travel from a seller less than two weeks ago, but unfortunately, the item did not meet my expectations. I received the item in April 19 delivery date was April 17
As a customer, I rely on the assurance of being able to return an item if it does not meet my satisfaction. However, the seller has declined my request for a return, despite the fact that it is within the 14-day return window.
I am extremely disappointed with the seller's refusal to accept my return, and I feel that my rights as a customer have been violated. I have made every effort to resolve this issue with the seller, but unfortunately, they have been unresponsive.
I urge eBay to intervene in this matter and help me obtain a refund for the item. I believe that eBay has a responsibility to ensure that sellers comply with their return policies and that customers receive the support they need to resolve any issues.
I have always trusted eBay as a reliable online marketplace, but this experience has left me feeling let down and frustrated. I hope that eBay will take swift action to resolve this matter and restore my confidence in their platform.

They are scammers

They are scammers. I've had ebay for 10 years and DELETED MY ACCOUNT. I suggest you do the same before they scam you out of hundreds, if not more, money. I sent a package using their website for international first class and international first class does not have shipping to Mexico. Now my buyer said they did not receive the item and eBay cannot do anything except refund them with the money they gave me plus a $20 fee that they took. So now I've lost my item, I've lost the money I received plus an extra $20 from eBay and the post office will not accept the claim due to their policy, eBay also refuses to refund me. There is no buyer protection and if you are smart, he will try the millions other alternatives. I have already put in a case with BBB and my bank. I will get my money back!

After being a client of eBay for over 23 years they are awful in supporting returns. I opened a dispute for a defective purchase and they allowed the seller to close it by stalling and not allowing me to file an appeal. This company is the absolute pits!

Then when you call me they don;t allow it. THis is a first-class POS company!

They kicked me off for no reason and I only made three purchases off this site never received one and got suspended for nothing cuz they think I'm putting them at risk! They are jokes and need to check their sellers! And I made my account last month and had my accounts for two months only then got kicked off and not telling me why I got kicked off! And please tell me how I was wiring money or doing money gram if I was paying with my visa debit card
