They used to have decent customer service but looks like they are crumbling and desperate for money. They took 14.8% of the haulage fee I had to pay through the site and acknowledged I had to pay it outside of ebay as they didn't offer the service! Robbery. No other word for it
I purchased an EPlate Scrolling License Plate Frame from Olivers-outlet. Had it professionally installed. Only half of the message displayed, then it would not work at all. Seller refused to refund because it could not be returned in original unsealed package and Ebay agreed! How is it someone can sell a non-working POS product and not take care of a customer is beyond me.
The worst site that you could ever use. Employees sell your info to scammers. They allow people to sell faulty products and don't punish the scammers and sellers on the site
I've always found good prices on ebay and the quality is good too. Just need to be sure to read descriptions on some listings.
To be specific, this review is not about Ebay, but about a seller on Ebay called Tristatesalesteam. I purchased a brand new Keurig K Cafe coffee maker, paid aprox $150 for it, worked for a while, then latte maker stopped working, I contacted Keurig only to be told my item was used, defective and had been replaced by Keurig to original owner of product. Obviously Tristatesalesteam sold me a used, refurbished, damaged item unbeknownst to me. I contacted both Ebay and seller, Ebay was fine, told me had to contact seller, but seller never even answered my multiple letters, could care less about ripping people off online, hiding behind their computer like cowards. Since too much time had passed, Ebay refused to replace item, so buyer beware of seller called Tristatesalesteam, they sell all kind of merchandise, are not honest to deal with, at least that was my experience!
Notified Ebay FOUR days before the auction ended, that a seller was auctioning neo-nazi stuff and they shamefully failed to act by
Allowing the listing to remain active up to the time the auction ended(obviously considered a few pence in commission more important than removing neo-nazi stuff from their site(as per their rules)!
I have had a 100% seller rating for 20…
I have had a 100% seller rating for 20 years. A customer won an auction of mine and didn't pay. I cancelled the sale 2 days later after trying to reach them without success. Ebay let the buyer leave a bad review dropping me down to 98.8% rating. They never paid and didn't buy anything but ebay let them ruin my seller rating. When I reported it to customer service to have it reviewed they said that the buyer didn't break any of their rules. Im done, no more ebay selling.
So.constantly finding I'm listing items on ebay auction,,They sell but the buyers don't follow through.Ebay you do t give a hoot about this as your ripping people off by keeping listing fees and or charging for relisting.Ebay you introduce buyers through your platform you could control this but you don't.Therefore it seems you don't care as your RIPPING PEOPLE OFF by taking the fees for listing or relisting when it's your bad management that allows this.
You I can on,y assume must be happy being crooks there's no other answer..
I recently purchased the Microfibre cloths from this seller on eBay, and I must say it has been a fantastic experience. The product arrived promptly and was exactly as described in the listing.
The Microfibre cloths itself is of exceptional quality. It is evident that the seller takes great care in sourcing their products. The item was well-packaged, ensuring it arrived in perfect condition.
I purchased seat covers over a month ago received 2 sets from 2 different sellers returned one of them and I'm still waiting for my money to come back. Ebay makes it impossible to reach a human! SELLER IGNORES MESSAGES!
EBay used to be OK. Now? Not so much. Lately I bought some microfibre cloths but what turned up were some Henry hoover bags. So I messaged the seller and asked them to put it right. So they issued a return label and told me it was my responsibility to return the items before a refund could be issued. Ebay concurred. So it was clearly all my fault. I was liable and had to jump through hoops. Somehow eBay worked it out that it was my responsibility when the seller should've just sent me the goods I ordered. Since when is this justice?
More than once, I have received used and/or damaged merchandise sold as new and sealed. On other occasions, there have been bait-and-switch, item not as pictured nor as described. Despite working with the vendors for an agreeable resolution, which typically results in negative outcomes, eBay does not honor their Money Back Guarantee. While they tell you to work with the vendor before involving eBay, they do not step up for the customer, rather the vendor. Buyers are SOL if there is a problem. Critical reviews are deleted at the behest of the vendors, despite said review being factual. This site is very biased. What some of the vendors are engaging in is criminal and eBay is complicit.
Three such vendors to steer clear of are josma3259, maxxilano, and moviesgamesandmore. The latter one, after a fight, did FINALLY issue a refund.
Few, precious few vendors actually conduct themselves professionally.
Been a ebayer for 18 years. Enjoyed it for about 16years. But they have took the fun out of it along with the profits. Hard to make a few bucks with there over price fees on selling. I've lost money on the last 3 things I've sold from there over priced seller fees. Never made much usually a 5 to ten bucks here there but now it's gotten to be where you can't make anything so. After 18 years I think I'm done with them. Only thing I can figure is they are part of our new government. That's has this great country screwed up! Soo long eBay.,
If i had option to give negative star
If i had option to give negative star, I would have given negative 5.
If you are a seller then it's your dreamland, but if you are genuine buyer like then this is worst worst worst place to do any shopping. Pay little extra in another platform but don't fall in ebay money back guarantee description. It's not that simple.
I ordered a used camera from ebay. The moment i hit buy it now i got fraud alert from my bank (which didn't happen before). I got scared and requested bank to decline the transaction and immediately requested ebay to cancel the transaction as well.
Bank declined the transaction however ebay reposted the transaction and didn't cancel my order. Instead they replied me next day saying item is already shipped which was actually shipped next day not in the day of transaction.
Then the item never arrived to my location. I reached out to ebay about the issue then ebay said it was delivered to some random school within 2-3 miles radius from location. They provided me the details and asked if i can contact them. I went ahead and called that school, and the school said they received the package but it's an empty envelope.
Being genuine buyer, I mentioned same to ebay. Instead of helping me out, they actually said i need to file a police report of empty package because the package was located. Now, if i need refund i need to go to police station for the first time in my life.
Then only i will get my refund. Otherwise i paid almost $1000 for an empty envelope.
So, don't fall prey of eBay money back guarantee scam. Not at all
They treat sellers so badly constant holds of my money for 30 days, having to front postage i have been selling since last year and they keep telling me i am not yet established, absolute joke. I would advise anyone to stay clear its so much stress trying to use ebay i almost had a breakdown and i only started using it to try and make some extra money from selling things i no longer needed. FB Marketplace is the way forward.
Love the concept. I can literally find anything here. Even some very vintage stuff. And the auction mode helps to reduce the price a little bit.
We ordered a BBQ grill (coming from China),but we never received the grill. Filed a claim and Ebay denied it saying it "was delivered". What was delivered was a plastic keychain and even after sending proof that what was delivered weighed less than an ounce, clearly not the weight of a grill they still refused to give us our money back. Stay clear of EBAY! They do not deserve a rating of even one star but you have no choice but to click on one in order to submit your review.
In the past few months I have had a few sellers that tried to deceive me. One actually raised the shipping cost without telling me as soon as I agreed to buy something. I contacted eBay and they could care less. I am moving on to other avenues to purchase goods. EBay cares less and less. I have been a loyal eBay customer since 2012 and it is only declined. It is unfortunate because the good sellers loose business because of these horrible people. But ebay allows this to happen.
The only reason I gave them one star is because there are no minus stars. When you buy certain items off of E-bay they come from China which is happening more and more with them. Which most of the stuff is a lot cheaper but it is also junk and cheap knock off of the real deals. I ordered what they said was an Air Lift wireless compressor part # *******EZ and it blew the hose out of the compressor head at 22lbs of air and can't be reinstalled cause the quick connect is junk. I contacted E-bay and listen what they told me to do. They told me to resell it on E-bay and I could even possibly make a little profit off of it. Are you kidding me! I'm done with them, I'll never buy nothing else off of them, EVER and you should consider the same action.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
