They keep your bank information I won't let you delete it. Charging you account with reason when ever the want. If you want to stop this you are forced to close your back account as a suggestion from them. Or pay $34 to you bank for a stop payment. This is not right and no one is doing nothing about it. They have try to charge my bank account 3 times. When you are on a fixed income and disabled big companies like eBay take advantage of you. You have to jump a million hoops to fix a problem. But they could just press a button and become rich.
I purchased a tricycle from a seller, Freedomstore 18, in China in March of 2023. After assembling the tricycle, I could not adjust the rear derailleur to get all seven gears. I contacted the seller and sent them pictures of the defect (gears not pressed far enough on the axle.) They replied twice, but it was obvious they did not understand English. Then they stopped replying to my emails. I had purchased a protection plan from Allstate. When I contacted them, they told me to contact the seller since there was a one-year warranty (I don't know where they got that information because there is no warranty stated on my order, receipt or manual). So I tried to get to Ebay customer service. After several attempts I managed to get someone to call me. They told me that someone would get back to me in three days. It has been 3 weeks and not response. I tried to get to someone through the automated chat, but none of the categories fit my problem. It's been 11 months and I still can't get a resolution.
I was selling a computer part and a random person just bought it then said some parts where missing, eBay said they could return it and I had no say in the choice, no surprise they did not return it but still got money back.
I was new to this platform and tried to resolve some issues and the agent suspended my account after asking me questions like 'How will you be payingfor your stuff?' It was the weirdest experience in my life! Awful
I was starting to sell on eBay but the very first customer I sold to lied and said my product was inaccurate and they refunded MY MONEY while the scammer kept my product.
Purchased an item from ebay that was returned to the seller. Neither the seller or ebay would refund the money. Can't trust this site.
I recently sold my brand new audio interface on eBay for cheaper than it was worth because I needed money, the buyer received the item and didn't say anything else for a week. After that, he complained to eBay that the item he received had a dent on the corner (impossible, never was used or even came out of the box, regardless wasnt affecting how the interface operated), eBay immediately took his side and charged my bank account without my permission to refund him. On top of that they let him keep the interface so basically eBay made me give away my 400$ interface for free while they kept their percentage and when I called customer service they told me to go kick rocks. Worst experience with selling anything and I can't believe people use this app. Will never return no matter what. Worst app in history for a billion reasons.
Ebay used to be a fun site for me to find unique items. Now it's become a nightmare as hell where in the two times I've attempted to make returns recently their return protocol leaves you locked out and they tell you they send you return labels when they don't, they make it a epically frustrating and impossible to get through to anyone. I am left with a damaged item and no way to actually return it.
Ebay used to be great. I remember you could sell and buy just about anything. Customer service did exist in those old days and they did care. Now is non existent and if you happen to get someone they are clearly at the other end of the world. Most of them are poorly trained and don't know anything. Some of them will hang up on you. And then there is the bogus that you are a treat to the platform but they will never explain what it means because it's a lie. Horrible place. Spend your money somewhere else.
I regret to say that my selling experience on eBay was extremely disappointing. My journey as a seller was plagued by a series of frustrating issues. Firstly, my digital items, once sold, vanished without a trace, leaving me in a bind. Additionally, my funds were put on hold, creating financial inconvenience.
A major concern was the lack of seller protection from eBay. My account was restricted without any prior notice, which felt unfair and abrupt. When I reached out to customer service for assistance, the experience worsened. The customer service representatives were not only rude but also disrespectful, lacking basic courtesy and professionalism.
Despite providing ample evidence, including invoices and buyers' messages to support my case, the response was baffling. The customer support team repeatedly asked for a tracking number for my digital items, which was an absurd request considering the nature of the products. I had to explain multiple times that the items I sold were digital and shared the digital products through ebay messaging system, but it seemed like my words fell on deaf ears. Instead of receiving help from the support team, they were not able to answer my questions, and left me dealing with harsh accusations of having sold used digital items.
This experience has left me disillusioned with eBay. The platform appears to be riddled with scammers, and, unfortunately, sellers like myself receive little to no support from eBay in resolving issues. My advice to any potential seller is to steer clear of eBay. There are better, more seller-friendly platforms out there that offer the support and protection that eBay sorely lacks.
Ebay will allow returns that are damaged, making the seller eat the cost to the tune of 3k. Sell anywhere but ebay! They will 100% screw you if they get more money from the buyer then your store. Its extorsion under the false pretense of buyer protect. Like the mob does to buisness owners.

This says it was handed over to a USPS agent for final delivery, but it hasn't reached our warehouse. It doesn't confirm delivery. USPS often hires local agents, causing significant delays. I've had cases where the package never arrived despite being marked for delivery. I lodged a complaint with the seller, stating the package was out for delivery but never arrived. Both eBay and the seller washed their hands of it. The seller should contact USPS for information, not me. Your responsibility is to ensure the buyer doesn't face issues, rather than telling me to deal with it.

Sonde esta mi paquete? Tanto usted como ebay se lavan las manos y nadie lo busca, nadie contacta a usps.
Donde esta la mercancoa que compré y pagué?
Va a hacer algo por ubicarla? O no?

Where is my package? Both you and eBay are washing your hands, and no one is looking for it, no one is contacting USPS. Where is the merchandise I bought and paid for? Are you going to do something to locate it, or not?

No he recibido mi paquete.
Usps *********************

I haven't received my package. EBay closed my claim, claiming that the seller provided a tracking number indicating delivery. I ask you to check the USPS number *********************. You will see that they are lying; the USPS website clearly states it was delivered to a 3rd party for subsequent delivery to me. It never says it was delivered to me, only to that 3rd party. This happened on December 31st. Since then, I've been waiting for the package.
The seller and eBay base their decision on the USPS website. I ask you to review it, and you'll see they are lying. USPS *********************.
I've been left with no possibility to claim, without the item, and without the money. No one wants to help or take responsibility.

I purchased a motorcycle helmet from an eBay seller named parts-traders. The helmet comes with eBay's satisfaction guarantee or money back policy. However, the helmet never arrived. The seller (who, by the way, sells imitation helmets as genuine) provided a USPS tracking number indicating that the package reached USPS in Florida and would be delivered to a third party for subsequent delivery.
This doesn't prove final delivery; it only confirms arrival at USPS in Florida. The seller mocked me in a message. After filing a complaint on eBay, they informed me that they wouldn't refund anything, citing the seller's use of a tracking number (as explained above). They directed me to file a complaint with USPS, closed the claim, and stopped responding.
Essentially, parts-traders are scammers; eBay's policy appears to be false. The seller got their money, eBay received their commission, and I'm left defrauded with neither money nor item due to both the seller and eBay.
I recommend shopping on Amazon; their policies offer better customer protection. The package has been marked as received at USPS Florida since December 31st, and today is January 17th with no resolution.
Ebay has become a scammer and scalper paradise! There is a new scam on eBay tnx to the policy they have: you buy a product, seller doesn't ship it, you get mad message him, than he asks you to open a return, he doesn't refund, you message him again, he then tells you to close the return(cause you never received the product in the first place, so you have nothing to return). AFTER THAT YOUR MONEY ARE GONE/seller keeps your money and you have no recourse. Because of the way the eBay refund policy works, if you close the return, eBay won't help you even if you are "covered by money back guarantee", talk to suport, open a case, etc) so please be aware or steer clear of this website because nowadays scammers buy accounts with good seller rating, old to be trustworthy and then you are easily scammed!
I purchased Straight Talk $255 Refill Card 6 Months **************) in September 26,2023 from seller Porreyn_61. By October 19,2023 my service was deactivated from my outstanding Straight Talk account.
Now my Straight Talk account is restricted (my iphone locked). Because the seller on ebay used my information. Straight Talk states "I now own them $284 to unlock my phone. Why, I never had a balance on my account, in the 15 years using this Straight Talk. It was always a prepaid account.
I have no phone and my account is deactivated, because of a dishonest seller on ebay.
Ebay has poor management does not keep their terms on a fault purchases, to received ebay's guarantee refund. Ebay allowing scammers on their site.
I sold a bag on eBay. The customer filed a dispute. Reason:
"The item doesn't match the description in your listing"
In the comments the customer wrote:
"My daughter ordered a gift for me and she mistakenly bought the wrong item. I want to return the item. I want my money back."
Customer is refusing to return the bag and eBay claims that seller protection does not apply in "item doesn't match the description" cases even though eBay knows that "item doesn't match the description" is a false claim.
EBay named Nikki was mispronouncing my
Name and I asked her to stop she then said sorry you had a foreign name which I said isn't warranted she then called me
Racist
I sold a phone on eBay it was my first time and I got scammed, I sent the phone working with no problems and now the buyer says the phone has problems and I have no money from my sale! This is not acceptable, I paid twice for delivery, I was a good seller, I answered everything the buyer asked me and now he wants to return it when the phone never had any problems! I want my money now!
Ebays general customer service is not good. It is a bit better for buyers than sellers though. Recently as a buyer I had them pull money out using an account they were not supposed to with the new best offer program, requiring a payment source before the offer. They opted to use a bank account I never use, that is empty, rather than the payment source I authorized. This is because it is cheaper on fees for them. After numerous overdrafts because of this, I talked to 2 different agents that supposedly made a support ticket, and "would make sure it was fixed". Still pulling out of the account I never authorized racking up fees. Calling Ebay again, they refused to connect me with a supervisor to address the issue, and then hung up the phone. Not once, but three times. This level of narcissism is only something I've encountered post Covid. Everyone seems to think they are the most valuable asset in a company, and it empowers the garbage workers to pull this nonsense all the time. Seems worse at ebay, but its seems to be a problem everywhere from my observation.
Now I am having to fight this out with the bank on the fees. They argue It was something I bought. True. But I never authorized the withdrawal from that empty account, therefore irrelevant
I'm sure others have had similar issues. THIS is how class action lawsuits get started.
They use the fact that they are the biggest auction site on the web to negate the negative repercussions of their actions. Most people will deal with a company even if they feel screwed if they think there is still some benefits. I think they should be boycotted out of business, and let a better company take their place.
I had sold something on eBay and buyer received after ebay banned my account without any reason I told them why my account banned they are told me we are canot tell why
Recommended no one use ebay even for a second
I bought a $425 item from eBay and the delivery guy left it outside without knocking on the door. By the time I went to check for it, it wasn't there. I contacted eBay and they never refunded me. I contacted them for 2 weeks straight and they never did anything about it. Horrible customer service. I will never buy from eBay again and I recommend that everyone stays away from eBay.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
