I have been a seller on eBay for 21 years and called their seller support regarding an issue with feedback left from a buyer. EBay support where no help and sided with the buyer even though the error was the buyers fault. Now looking at other platforms what do not charge their extortionate fees.
Ebay suspended my account indefinitely! I sold a knife and sent it the following day. No discrepancy between me and buyer, it went smooth. However, ebay has held my funds for weeks. They was supposed to send Micro deposits and they failed to do so, which caused my funds to be returned multiple times! I finally got the deposits and verified my bank... now they indefinitely suspended my account with no explanation. I called and nobody can tell me anything! How do you go from having an excellent rating on a seller account to being barred from the site completely!? This is a horrible platform!
Ebay was great! I sold lots made money. Until i had one transaction that went bad due to a mistake on my behalf. I never got tracking on an item it was only $23.00 dollars. The buyer most likely dishonest and received the coin, but said it never arrived. Ebay kicks my account indefinitely over a mistake! Pretty sad! Hope this helps anyone selling on ebay beware!
The worst of the worst, and I'll never use this platform ever again. I will ensure everyone I know knows their useless customer support. They lost my 400€ package and stopped replying to emails when confronted with The seller's response. You will chase them until you get your hands on someone, and then you face automated responses just for them to disappear and close your claim without your consent!
I purchased many jewellery items from eBay. Their customer service are the best. They always address my issues with knowledge and effectiveness. I rarely bought fake gold most of the sellers that are highly rated are trustworthy. Also, not like Mercari, eBay restricts and closes accounts selling fake items when customers complain.
EBay has let a seller scam me and will not take the time to read the messages and follow thru. I have been an eBay member for at least 25 years with perfect feedback but I no longer trust them now. Buyers BEWARE! Their money back guarantee is false advertising!
I have order 7 items from eBay and only received one item. I've spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on these parts. And still have not received them. EBay has a money back guarantee. Which isn't true at all! More like spend money and steal your money grantee! They have refused to help and resolve this issue. And yes there is a picture of where it was delivered and clearly in the picture that is was NOT MY HOUSE! These people are a joke and I see why I was warned about eBay from the start. Amazon is 100% better. I've spend hundred and hundreds on eBay and only got less then 20$ worth. Tell me if that's right? I've already tried to reach out to eBay and sellers and started blocking my from making any more reviews and complaints. And if there is no actual number to call. Customer service is extremely horrible on eBay. There is a very least amount and close to non at all. Trust me when I tell you stay away from eBay altogether.
I hate Ebay with the passion of 1 billion burning suns. I had 100% positive feedback and no problems. They suspended my account for no reason and now they are holding my money indefinitely. Three months on they still have not released payment. I have no idea how they have not had their pants suit off them. Buying on eBay is great. Selling absolutely sucks. Get ready to get robbed if you sell.
Ebay appears not to want to expose those who are dishonest or unethical. In some cases you do not know until after 60 days and there is no way to report a crook. I bought a standby generator and after installation the local service techs said the listing was completely dishonest. I contacted the seller who went dark after the first call and did not reply to any emails or eBay messages. EBay refuses to do anything. Summary, do not buy anything on eBay that cannot be confirmed before the 60 day deadline.
Robots from Hell. Used to be able to get an agent. Not anymore. The bot just says Email and then won't let you type anymore. I have been on Ebay for 20 d*mn years as a seller and a buyer. So, if you need help with something important, forget it.
Ebay sorted my problem in full and deserve 5 stars as they are fair in the end. Thank Mr Ebay. Please do stop such practices adopted by sellers as that will increase public confidence.
E bay is a terriable company i am suing them do not buy from them or sell on their platform they are racist thieves who stold my proceeds
I ordered a DVD I'll cry tomorrow in June 2020. The seller provided tracking information about the delivery. I informed Ebay that I never received my package by mail. Ebay opened a case file and emailed me today that they refused to honor my payment/replace my purchase. I've checked my mailbox every day since the delivery status. Ebay rather lose my buying power instead of correcting this matter. Shame on Ebay! GOOD BYE EBAY
I recently purchased a plug for charging my new IPHONE 12. When I received it i was unable to connect the leads. Trying to return/get refund or speak to a human about a resolution was impossible. My advise, buy in a store, if you have a problem, you end up with a useless piece of equipment and loose your money.

Experiences teaches only to buy items from ebay that cost a few pounds since so often what arrives is of poor quality and the chances of getting your money back are minimal. However selling! I have sold two items. The first time the experience was fine. Second attempt, payment from Ebay was late (still nor received) and EBAY charged 13% in fees which were not levied the first time I sold and which were not detailed when I listed the item. "Both buyer and seller beware" I suppose.
I lost over 500 dollars this month selling my things with Ebay. My money is still locked and I cannot receive the $100 I have left after selling $800 worth of personal belongings. Please do not sell on Ebay.
I'm thinking as I'm writing about the pros and cons. I've been a seller and am currently a buyer on EBay. Hands down it is a buyers market currently; a plethora of sellers with wonderful items selling at below market rates. The sellers that I buy from are professionals from small to large businesses. I always agree with reading feedback before you buy from a seller. I'm not sure how sellers are enjoying the market, but I will find out soon enough. Again!
Ebay is my favorite shopping website for my jewelry making supplies and gemstones. There's so many different sellers who have exactly what I am looking for. Most who sell via auctions so I can get what I want at really good prices.
Ebay has literally everything you could want and if you comparison shop, you'll find it at reasonable prices or win it in auction.
EBay allowed the seller to keep the product and my money and would not step in on my behalf. I will never use eBay again!. I was unable to speak with a live person to resolve this. And it seems that they allow scammers who sell fake stuff on their site also.
With fee's equal to a physical auction room I so wish I had other options. Corporations like this are what pushes individuals over the limit with outrageous fee's and poor customer care just destroy the individual. Especially in this day and age. I know I'm pushed, way to far.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
eBay has a rating of 1.7 stars from 3,486 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with eBay most frequently mention customer service, negative feedback and credit card. eBay ranks 179th among Auction sites.
