Sold a guitar for $2,100. Buyer claims it arrived damaged and accused me of sending it that way. Damage claim with carrier was rejected. Ebay stepped in and issued a refund to buyer without my consent. When I received the guitar back, the damage was obviously caused after unpacking and hence obviously by the buyer. Clear evidence of a direct impact. Ebay claims they cannot prove the buyer is responsible so I am out $280 shipping and eBay fees + $500 repair + $500 reduced value of the guitar.
Ebay needs to upgrade their Bot!
Every time I open an account on ebay it's permanently suspended when I didn't even buy anything. They don't provide any way of asking for a review etc. It's easy enough to use a fake phone number but I shouldn't have too. Considering the reputation ebay has for fraudulent sellers perhaps they should stop blocking the honest people! AND by the way I was looking at dolls! Lol
Sold an item through ebay in the amount of approx. $280 CDN. And netted about $225 CDN after paying various questionable and inflated fees. Once item sold, monies in the pay pal account could not be accessed for no rhyme or reason. Speaking with Pay pal they blamed everyone else but them selves for holding monies. Told me to contact ebay. Ebay says to contact Paypal. Big run around and no resolution to date. Last sold item on ebay was about 10 years ago, the process was very simple and seamless with no issues. Not sure what has changed since then. Once buyer receives item and writes a very good seller review, ebay should release money and not be subjected to Paypal as the sole banking administer of funds! Next time on small items I will donate to a charity rather than subject myself to these questionable business partners.
I plan to be very vocal on my recent experience with ebay/paypal to the general public!
I did win an auction on eBay. Paid in full after it. Received an email with order confirmation and estimated delivery date. The item was valued more then what I paid, but it was just an auction. I believe eBay at this case makes sure I will never receive the item and at this case offer you the money back. After one month and without me asking what I want they just said here is the refund. They closed the case without even knowing why my item never was shipped or delivered.
I sold on ebay for a few months and have been fighting with them for over a year, lol. They are the most pathetic company to deal with. Their customer service reps always say they are reversing the charges and taking care of everything for me. Then the next month, another bill. It's been going on for about a year, they are seriously sick. It's total fraud. I have to call in every month to complain and report. Then when I say - close my account, they say we can't for about 5 days until the credit is processed, total scam.
I wish I could give zero stars!
I've been dropshipping on many platforms till I decided to add on ebay.ca! This has been the worst experience so far! This unprofessional platform blocked my account without notice after a few weeks of dropshipping! When I asked for the reason why they blocked it, they refused to tell me! They also blocked my funds that I made on their platform. I asked when would I get these funds, they said after 6 months! I chatted with their agents to understand what wrong did I do, and they kept transferring me from one agent to another. None of them were able to answer my questions!
If you don't want to lose your money, avoid this platform at all costs! There are professional platforms to do dropshipping, and ebay.ca is NOT one of them!
My item has been at EBAYs shipping center for 2 weeks with no movement. Only answer from ebay is it may still arrive. Its in KY, I'm in Ontario Canada and they want me to believe it may make it by Sunday(today is Fri.) I want my item. Not a refund! I feel Ebay could do better than say just wait it may come. Time to switch to Amazon.
I recently purchased a watch and it was a fraudulent transaction and EBay refused to honour there mo et back guarantee as te
He Transaction was listed under property and that voided there money back guarantee. I have been a regular buyer and have encountered more fraudulent transactions over the last few years and don't recommend EBay to buyer for watches.
Disappointed

There is no point in selling on eBay anymore. Buyer's purchase items and NO MATTER what proof you send or who you contact—the buyer will automatically get a refund as long as they open up a dispute with their payment institution. I don't understand what the deal here is, do they just want people to keep using their credit card and spiral into a debt they can't get out of?
I sold ONE item a couple months ago and am still waiting for my money?! They put a hold on my account because i tried to update the transit number of my bank. Spent over an hour on the phone. Was told the hold is off and yet i still have not received my money! Beware! And they charge for the service?! What service?!
It took me a long time to list a brand new item for $75 and ebay estimated shipping cost to be $25, so I listed the item for $100. The buyer paid $100 + HST. I got paid $52. I had to add my bank account using the old way of depositing 2 small amounts (silly). Then it took me a lot of digging to find out the details of my payment. It turns out that shipping was not $25 it was $32 (not sure why) as well as $15 ebay fee that I have never heard about. I could of added it to my item before I listed it.
I don't think I will use ebay again.
This bunch of crooks would make tony soprano or don corleone cringe in horror. In my case I sold some computer items back in july. On the 1st sale I was double billed for a shipping label for 2 different amounts at 2 different times on the same day. I`ve contacted them 3 times over the month & a half since and all they`ve done is lie lie lie. Their latest lie is they need ANOTHER MONTH to refund the overcharged amount. I do have a screenshot of the double charge but I`d rather not upload as it reveals the buyers real name which I`d rather not do.
300$ purchases payed within 5 minutes. 4 AM the next day and was charged a second 300$ even if my orders were confirmed and shipped. Unauthorized charges sould be a crime. The money on the second charge was money to pay my bills today. I will have a dent in my credit and 50$ charges because of ebay stupid overcharges a day later
Many products from China (and most are) never arrive. Some could be lost in the mail, but that is too much of a coincidence that so many never arrive. By the the time you have given it a few more days and some delays in answer from the seller, it's too late for any claim from eBay. If you buy electronics which come defective, you are stuck, unless you want to pay huge shipping costs to ship it (with tracking and insurance) back to seller in China. The process may take months, which by then is too late for eBay refund. EBay should monitor their sellers a bit better. Compare to Amazon with stellar customer service, eBay is of very poor value.
I bought the shoe insert around the mid of last month still waiting till now and double check the company through the Email about my purchased item, however never ever have the response from them. It is very disappointed...
I would much prefer that my credit card is charged in U.S. dollars. A recent purchase at $320. U.S. Cost me $7.00 more when E-Bay "helped" me by converting the cost to CDN. Dollars.
Second, before buying a new product from an E-Bay seller, make certain that the manufacturer will honour the warranty.
These two concerns will probably have me steer clear of E-Bay for future purchases.
I never received my shipment, tried to get contact seller then ebay, nothing but a runaround. I had a dozen tabs open, because they kept sending me all over the place. I will never deal with ebay ever again, go with Amazon, pay a fraction more but guaranteed shipment and you don't have to wait for months.
Hi, I purchased the item. Tried to cancel. Was ignored, item was shipped week after. Tried to return but they said international shipments can not be returned. What a scam! I closed eBay account and purchasing from Amazon directly
They do not allow an order to be cancelled once you pay. I didn't receive my order even after a month and was told to wait for 35 days to get my money back. They rip people off their hard earned money.
1. First of all i registered and when i went to log in a different user name came up with my email address. 2. i attempted to make a bid several times and on each occasion i got a message that i had exceeded my maximum number of allowed bids yet i had no registered bids(i think that maybe my bids were just less than they wanted)3. The majority of canadian ebay items were from the us so no bargain there 4. Items cost more than in the store and refurbished items were listed even higher than new items in the store basically... ebay.ca is just garbage
Answer: I've dealt with E-Bay for many years, and anytime I've had a problem, (twice, both Chinese vendors), E-Bay has helped in obtaining a refund. Now for a couple of caveats that I recently discovered: When you purchase from a U.S. vendor, E-Bay will helpfully convert the cost to Canadian dollars. And add a conversion premium of about 3.5% to your cost. Second, even brand new items may not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. So check before ordering! These two issues will likely see me take my future on-line purchases elsewhere.
