Ordered from catalogue charged wrong price told straight away would not refund or cancel order had to be put through to cancellation department what a joke 59 in que wait 45 min to be cut off staff abrupt and not helpful sales staff answer in less that a minute on sales department how ironic, but will not help disgusting how these staff can work in such a rip off company because most of their products are for old or disabled people I wish I'd seen this site before do not part with your money go on amazon or similar trustworthy sites
Ordered 3 products over two weeks ago took money out of bank no delivery.
Tried to contact via email no response.
Had I looked on this site first would not have ordered.
My advice is save your money do not touch with a bargepole
I had the misfortune to order a Shoe Ottoman from this company recently. The delivered item was left in the foyer of the building, outside the interior security doors of the block, with no delivery note. Fortunately our residents are honest. Assembly instructions were misleading and poorly worded. Eventually, the assembled unit looked good and seemed solid, but yesterday, two inner shelves collapsed - the problem being that the flimsy securing screws had worked their way out of the equally flimsy chipboard (?) shelves, leaving gaping holes (no longer usable), and causing a crack in one shelf, and the front plinth. I'm now left with the outer box shell - superb! A leaflet with the item states that once assembly has commenced, this item is non-refundable, totally contrary to sale of goods and distance purchasing law! I intend to call Easy life (?) on Tuesday 3rd April, after the Easter Bank Holiday break.
I must say, reading some of the reviews, I was a bit put off. But I went ahead and ordered as I have used them before. I ordered yesterday afternoon, and my items arrived this morning! How quick was that. I think the people that give bad reviews obviously make a habit of it or have an axe to grind. I suggest you give the company a try!
Good cheap catalogue site for home products. They offer a lot of deals for home products and is good quality. I even got a free £5 gift voucher recently which helped get a cool freebie:)
Check it out if you like buying from catalogues or cheap sites for home products.
T the beginning of the pandemic I bought face masks from Easylife and had no problems - right items, delivered on time. However I subsequently ordered a couple of garden items but they failed to arrive several weeks after the original ETA so I cancelled using the Easylife cancellation form and also an email to the help email address. Impossible to get through on the phone. Today, half my original order arrived despite the cancellation so I rejected the delivery and emailed Easylife yet again. It will be interesting to see if I have to fight to get my credit card credited. Communication is a nightmare whether by phone or email and, in fact, I am not convinced anyone actually monitors the email. I wouldn't suggest ordering from this firm unless you absolutely cannot get the item elsewhere too much potential hassle!
My 87 year old mother in law was cold called and pressured into taking out a subscription to their magazine. She was told she had a 14 day cooling off period but her confirmation letter arrived after the period ended. Have cancelled her credit card so that it cannot be used again. My m in l is frail and hard of hearing.
This company prey on the elderly. Trying to get through by phone is a total waste of time-they don't reply to emails. Part of goods ordered never received but cheque cashed months ago-no date for given for fulfillment-waste of time calling them.
My father purchased some goods using his credit card and since then has been signed on for a magazine at £18.50 per month. This was done by writing to him requesting him to cancel this service he knew nothing about within 14 days or he would be in the scheme.
How can you be sold something you didn't ask for and then the money taken out if YOU DO NOT CANCEL it? Is this even legal?
He is 93 years old and did not see it see it until I checked his credit card statement. Preying on elderly folk, not nice.
My mum placed a order on June 6th for some plant for me. On Aug 1st I got a delivery of 4 dead plants bone dry and the soil was all in the bottom of the box. Which idiot would pack plants like that. What use, are annual plants in August I've tried ringing and emailing. So I've now sent a letter recorded delivery. Please anyone who reads this do not order from these people
What appalling service. They say they don`t take payment until the order is despatched but they took it immediately and a fortnight later I`m still waiting.
Just tried to contact Customer Services, told I was number 80 in the queue, no reply to my previous E-mails, what a waste of time and money.
I was signed up to their Motor Club, but the caller offered me a petrol voucher (which turned out to be a complicated cash back scheme) and didn't explain they would take £1.99 from my credit card. They then took a further £59.99 from my card, even though I had rung to cancel. I've now got my £59.99 back, but it has cost me nearly £13 in calls to their premium rate call centre.
I will never shop with this company again.
I put my items in a shopping basket and received an email next day asking me if I'd forgotten something, or needed to call for help to complete my order.
I emailed them regarding a previous credit, but my account needed updating as well, so I gave them my new card number as well.
While I was waiting for a reply to my email regarding my credit, they took it upon themselves to process my shopping basket to an order and a few days later found out that they had taken money from my bank.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I am of mind to take this further.
PLEASE contact me if you are in a similar position.
My Mother age 97 has had at least £450 taken from her credit card account by this company. I have written to them numerous times to ask for a copy of the documents they supplied to her one with her signature plus a copy of what was provided to her under consumer protection regulation and data protection. They have not answered my queries but have refunded some money. Two amounts were taken out of her account of £74.95 in June 2023 and then in September 2023 (at this time she was seriously ill in hospital) otherwise they have taken £18.50 per month and some months three payments and two payments. I am pursuing this matter with the credit card company and if necessary I will issue against them through the county court as this maybe the only way to force them to provide information.
I find it unbelievable that they cannot answer three simple queries as they need to keep records for six years and how difficult is it to give me a print out of what has been taken out of my Mother's account and what the amounts are for. On researching this company I noted they have been find for breaching data protection. They have been using information on elderly people to profile them and then use this information to cold call them.
Goods ordered 10/3/2017. Not received by 27/3/2017. Was told by them that no money comes out my a/c until the items are despatched. Blatant lie - bulk of the money came out within 3 days of ordering, the rest 10 days later.
Phone message says "computer problems at the warehouse" which have been sorted out. Delivery expected by the end of the week - nearly four weeks after taking my money. We'll see.
I placed an order on-line (value £120), I received an automatic confirmation straight away. After several weeks I called them to get an estimated delivery date only to be told they have been out of stock for sometime and they didn't know when new stock would arrive.
No call to tell me this, had I not called I would have never known and nothing on their web-site when buying - rubbish
Cannot get products ordered from this company and it takes for ever to get a refund. I have already asked by phone and by email 4-5 times to stop sending the magazine. I will not purchase neither will I recommend these people. Equally good and cheaper products, sometimes identical can be found on Amazon. I have to select one star to submit this but zero is the only appropriate mark
NEVER buy from this catalogue company. Their business is not to sell products, but to scam you forever after. They get your bank account / card details and forever rob you. They target elderly people by selling so called aid products directed at older people JUST to get your financial details.
If they phone you just immediately hand up don't even speak. They are dangerous and don't know how on earth they are getting away with it
I bought a dog bed. The customer service for that was good. I queried the delivery date with their customer service team online who responded promptly the bed came and the dog loves it. Then a few weeks later I was called at work and some chap was trying to sell me something with a £10 voucher. I was busy and he talked so quickly I told them to send the details in the post. Then I had a letter telling me my 14 day trial period was up and they were going to take £60 from my account.
In fairness to them I emailed and received confirmation straight away that the money would not be taken. I also alerted my bank not to authorise payments.
However they took £1.99 off my card without my permission at the start of the 14 day notice. I asked for this back which was refused. I have asked for copies of the phone call where I agreed they could take payment and am waiting to see what response I get.
After a small purchase from this company it has led my elderly parents having money taken from their account without their consent for a Motor Club, and Rewards Club. They should be ashamed preying on the elderly, absolutely shocking. I would advise anyone to avoid this company, it has caused so much stress and upset.
Answer: Why do customers have to wait so long for their orders when they are being told the item has been dispatched?
Answer: Because there isn't anything lower & I'm polite enough not to put what I think,
