So-so website

I started buying here just before discovering gearbest. The dx website is overpriced and has fewer items, although they are quite reactive. Would grate them with 3/5, as I had no bad nor positive experience. The quality of products was always different, so no unique opinion. Probably it is due to their competitive model of attracting more and more one-time customers.

This site sells Chinese products at good prices. The description of the items they sell sometimes omit key details, so you should do some research before committing to buy. If you can't wait at least 3 weeks (sometimes it can be two months), you must choose the express shipping. If something goes wrong, well, you're going to need a lot of patience; if is a cheap product, I advise you to swallow the bitter pill and consider it a loss; if is an expensive one, be prepared to pass through a long, painful ordeal. Customer support is BAD, as bad as you should expect from a communist bureaucracy: worst than this only at the airport in Havana, Cuba (I haven't been in North Korea, though).

After 6 months of messaging to their support, they stopped answering. Opened a new ticket, now they say too much time passed to do anything about it. So I have no product, they keep my money.
Totally scam!

Untrustworthy

DX regularly fail to deliver products they have taken money for.
In two cases this has amounted to an excess of USD 100.
ALL orders the past year have failed to arrive.
Worse still, they never offer any notice or apologies or even excuses.
Good luck trying to use the various points of assistance they advertise, since you just end up going in circles.
DX are unreliable, unhelpful, untrustworthy and the closest thing to a fraud.
Don't get ripped off.
If their offers seem too good to be true, that's because that's all they are.
Smoke and mirrors folks.

"I ordered a battery charger 6 weeks ago. Despite contacting them twice, I still have not received it. Below is their response. Note that they claim to have checked that my order is still in transit, which is impossible to check, as they have no tracking information. This must be a rogue company.

Delays are usually caused by a backlog of packages or delays in Customs. Please don't worry about your package!

Your cheaper Chinese gadget retailer store. Pretty extensive set of goods (a lot of stuff you didn't think you'd see sold there), although it's often not what you, heh, expect so check out every description parameter and the forum activity before you do buy things.
The community is great, the reviews detailed.
The prices are low enough and get wholesale discounts starting at 3 items.
I've bought about 50 gadgets there, only 2% faulty. Things may get lost on the way--use their service centre, slow but helpful and speaks an almost-good English! The first answer is a common response though.
All in all, the first place for me to look for a cheap gadget around.

I placed an order with DX after finding it listed really cheaply on their site but then decided to look at their reviews, I must admit I got extremely concerned that this was going to go horribly wrong in some way and regretted placing the order and even tried cancelling with my credit card company but I must say my item arrived earlier than expected, packaged reasonably well and all for a really decent price. There are clearly lots of people who have had a bad service from them but often they are the only ones who do bother to write a review. All went really well for me.

I never had any shipping (Croatia) issues and I don't care about shipping duration, I am patient enough.

But, however, if you encounter ANY problem with your product, don't expect too much help.
Why did I mention 'false advertising'?
Well, for a test I bought a UV mosquito catcher. Of course it did not work. So I put out a review explaining that mosquitos completely ignored the device.
And the review got bounced :). (This is my second negative review that got denied, so 2/2 :) ).
I did not ask for a refund or anything, just wanted to warn other buyers that it's just a pretty glowing ball that doesn't do what it advertises.

Thus beware...

The Honeymoon is OVER

I've ordered dozens of items here last year, and was happy with most of them, until I hit a snag. Battery specs not to be trusted at all, and if you send in negative feedback, they won't put it in their reviews. They are a total gamble. Dealing with the arcane refund system has paid off at about $2.50 an hour, very likely as it was designed to do. I have gone from telling everyone about DX to frantically retracting my recommendations. The only reason I leave them two stars is because they send new technology to the boondocks, and some of it works. If you can go to a store, do it.

I bought and paid for a product, they didn't deliver and continued to give excuses about refunds. It is $33 I won't get back. Save yourself the hassle and flush your money down the toilet, at least that way its gone without wasting weeks of your life

Let me give you the simple run down of this website

1. This is not a "Scam" site in the sense that they do ship you products (eventually)
2. If you don't pay for their expensive shipping, good luck on getting your product
3. I would use a prepaid credit card just in case
4. If you read other reviews on this site, you will see they ship many "fake" items that don't always work, just know that going into this
5. Do not expect to be able to return your item or get an exchange.

Still for the price you pay it may be a gamble and they are shipping from China but you may be able to get some killer deals on items that you cannot find at all in the US.

I came across this site by accident and so glad that I did. They have a huge selection of items. I was after a large air pump for an aquarium and they had a lot to select from at very competitive prices. Having already done a fair bit of research I decided to buy a 4 outlet pump which was cheaper than what I had been paying for a double outlet. I ordered on the Tuesday afternoon and received it early Thursday morning, my normal mail isn't that fast! The pump is working on 2 large aquariums and going strong. Communication with them was fantastic also. I was very impressed with this company, good prices, great range of goods, very fast delivery so I'm going back for more.

Do not order from them.
Ordered slim case for Nokia 1520 in December 2013 and emailed them after promised 20 day delivery time. Received response that it'd be there in just a few more days. Never arrived and they will not respond to any emails since. They seem to know the exact time limits for paypal recourse.

Well, generally speaking, don't waste your time here.
I ordered an underwater camera in Feb for a trip in Apr. And the order hardly made it. It took more than a month!
I've never experienced such a long delivery time.
OK, we board the cruise and found the underwater camera sold on the ship is even cheaper than this.
The "underwater" camera broke as soon as it got into water >.<
I came back and asked for refund. They asked for pics of the ruined product. WTH, who would take a black-water-dripping junk back home!? Well, they said there is nothing we can do then. Even no store credit offered. That's it.

Dx.com is a wonderful site to pick up bits and bobs, gadgets for the kitchen, parts for pcs, mobiles, usb keys etc
The smart phones are cheap and worth a look at, some last a year (we got one for 40 euros) some up to three years and is still going (that one cost 98 euros)!
Free postage, good customer service and a wide range of goods.
Just remember that you get what you pay for most of the time, read the reviews that people have left. Never had any trouble with refunds or items not arriving.
Well worth a look at!

In my experience, they always deliver orders, but you can wait months for it. I haven't ordered more than a half dozen items, mostly cheap stuff, and feel I got what I paid for. I do like the free shipping.

Just don't order electronics or makeup, like why would you? I've ordered stuff that can't go wrong. Shipping was on time and the quality is exactly what you pay for. Hope they don't let me down with the shipping next time I order, it has been 3 times now.

Never use this site for shopping. 15 days before I ordered mobile, they charged me immediately, but still my payment is not confirmed by them I see it in my account and then they stop even to reply me anymore I try to call them but their phone are always closed! So I'm sure I gonna never get my money or the item, please be aware!

This web is my first internet transaction, i have order some item from them, cellphone until small cable. Ship take about weeks to Indonesia. And item was not so bad.
Its worth with amount you spend.
I love this web store. But they don't have discount coupon :P.

I waited 2 months for my item which did finally arrive but the box was ripped and missing multiple important parts. I opened a ticket with them and they gave me instructions to return the item for a full refund. The live chat is almost never available by the way. I followed instructions and sent it back and have never received the full refund. Paypal can't help me as it's been over 45 days (it took that long just for the item to arrive!) and now I've spent postage returning the item and can't even get my original money back. What a scam! I'm totally pissed!
