Anyone under the illusion that this is a company to trust your holiday with just try calling the sales line (not customer service) and say you are trying to sort out a refund for a canceled flight. Then see how long before they hang up. I got to refund and immidiatly was cut off.
I have waited since April for a refund. The ammount they want to keep goes up and the number of times the money will be in my account within 72 hours is still increasing. They even asked for the bank details again and admitted that they had got the money from the airline. Tried a chargeback but the building society would not push them when they refused it.
This company will probably soon be wound up. It is just a front with 3 employees, that takes money and holds onto it any time a flight is cancelled.
Before booking again I will check a companies reviews and avoid the nightmare companies.
I recommend Jet2 who give refunds without asking within 2 weeks. Chalk and cheese with dream world.

On April 3rd, I paid Dream World Travel (DWT) £881 for an Emirates return ticket for Chile, before coronavirus kicked off. The flight, from Edinburgh Airport was due to leave on 4th December. However, the course was cancelled and "cancelled" the flight on 28th September, and have since been trying to get my money back from DWT, to no avail.
However, I have since discovered Emirates cancelled all flights from Edinburgh Airport on the 26th April, and DWT didn't even tell me - in fact, I have still never received a formal communication to tell me my flight had been cancelled, more than eight months ago. It transpires that Emirates didn't even take the money, so it has been sitting with DWT for eight months.
Dealing with them is a nightmare - they just send out boilerplate emails and they do not answer their phone, they have made zero indication that they are planning to refund my money.
I have now applied for my money back via the small claims court.
The single most depressing consumer experience I have ever had.

Worst travel agency. The agent by the name of Sumera is absoultly a big liar. Over 6 months and payments are not refounded. Stay away folks
I paid for two flights tickets to Malè for me and my hubby for March 2021 and this nasty dirty cheating company tried to scam me by taking the payment but not actually issuing any tickets! They sent me a fake email which had a booking reference number that I typed into the emirates website to retrieve my flight information and to my shocking surprise there was a message from emirates saying that our flights had not been ticketed yet!
So in a panic I called dream world evil travel to ask them why I don't have any tickets yet if I have paid? And before I knew it they started hanging up the phone on me, speaking in another language, pretending that the call connection is bad. After calling about five times they blocked my number and every time I called back I was put on hold in this imaginary queue!
So luckily I acted fast and called my bank to asked them to stop the payment because it was a fraudulent transaction and they managed to help me out! So grateful to my bank because this evil company would have gotten away with £1000s stupid lying cheating people! The site needs to be closed down and they need to be thrown in jail, evil disgusting people! Just PLEASE book with a certified flight agency or on the official airline company avoid websites like kayak, cheapflights, & opodo because it was these same website that transfer to these scammers!
Requested a refund since July 2020of my flight costing £2600. Phoned today to follow up but the man who answered me put me on hold twice and them hang up. These staff doesn't care at all. They say they are going to complete the p[process in January 2020. 6 months after I requested a claim. I know that airlines have given them the money but they wont pay up at all until 6 months. They are are keeping our money when we needed it the most at this time. Their staff makes your blood boils.
Beware of this travel agency. They are lovely and responsive at the beginning but once they collected your money it all about you who will find a way on how to contact them. They usually respond to email beyond the time frame, based on my experience they responded after 8 days with a vague and puzzling message.
I tried to book a return ticket with them for the price shown on every website as the cheapest option given but when I tried to book it, their website didn't let me do it. An error message showed on the screen and ask me to contact the customer service. They are just trying to poach customers by showing misleading information while other websites are better at least they pay for what you see. They have provided their WhatsApp number for help which is again no help nobody replies. I had to call customer service number and wait on the the call for half an hour before someone answered it. And to my surprise they had little knowledge of what they were talking about just some assumptions and not real solution. For the same tickets displaying the same fair on every website they increased the price by £60 on the call and website is still a disaster. I think they just repeating written scripts and real help. Try other websites if you value your money and time.
Booked flights with this company for trip to Cyprus, this was is November 2019, due to covid the flights were canceled in March, was told that we could have a refund but after numerous e-mails giving the same answer, waiting for the money from the airline( Emirates) which I don't believe, this is a scam company and would advise everyone to stay clear of them. I am going to post their details on social media and see if that will get a better response from them

I've been waiting 9 months for a refund for my cancelled flights, I've emailed multiple times with no response. I contacted the airline directly who confirmed they had refunded dream world travel months ago. They now won't give me a full refund and claim that their supplier has taken a cut of my refund. Of £100! They are the worst of the worst! AVOID!
DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I did a pre-pandemic booking and it took me countless of calls and emails and only did I got back my money after like 7 months. They even levied a couple of charges on me despite they cancelling my flight. Everything kinda feel like a scam to me.
These scumbags rob the money on innocent hardworking people I've asked for my refund forms for the past month and a half due to covid and they have yet to send me ANYTHING! Cancelled my flights and said it was the airline who did. They did not. I called the airline and they confirmed the flights are still on.
They know want me to pay a 15% admin fee to issue me a refund. Or pay double what I originally paid for alternative date.
You can't make this stuff up.

Do not waste your time to run behind them, or waiting over the phone for hours and then listen to new lie. Long story short, they drag me 7 months with the same excuse, voucher or 14 days wait etc. then I Called my bank and claim the dispute transection as i paid for the service, but then ask for refund and never got this service, Bank took over from me and I have all the 100% amount in my account within 10 days, i didnt even call these s*** ppl. So please go to your bank and claim there before this company go bankrupt.

I booked tickets on 03/11/19 to travel in August 2020 for our wedding. Due to the pandemic we have had to postpone the wedding and I asked for a refund on 11/05/2020. Dream world approved the refund but was delaying to give us the money (over 5 months) until they received the funds from Oman Air and later asked to issue a travel voucher instead. We never wanted a travel voucher but after so much back and forth we finally agreed in October 2020 so we could re-book flights for 2021. At the point of issuing the voucher we specifically asked if we can re-book with another airline, they said we can – I have email proof. Today, when I called to re-book they wanted to charge £350 to change airlines and hung up the call! Ridiculous! I asked to speak to the manager but the manager is always not in.
I have made a complaint to the Financial Ombudsmen and other regulators.
This was the response I received. Now, when I want to re-book with a different airline they want to charge me £350! No refund and £350 charge to re-book with travel voucher!

Please note that you can book other Airlines as well as you are not restricted to book Oman Air only. Moreover, you can avail multi trip against your voucher but if any of the amount remains from the voucher amount so it can not be refunded cash it can only be availed by booking another flight or any ancillary services.
My flight was cancelled end of March and im still waiting for my refund, customer service is awful obviously they are just keeping the money as long as they can. Next time I'm booking direct with the airline it may cost a little more but at least I wont be dealing with these morally corrupt people.
One of the worst firm to deal with, more than 6 months and they are keep lying, I contacted the airline and the confirmed no request for refund been received, but the DWT said the airline approved the refund but waiting for the fund! My cancellation from March! Stay away from this, ot was my first and last deal with them! If there is option for zero star I will chose it.
Update for the phone calls when I start asking for a manger to talk to, just hang up the phone!

For those of you who haven't bought, don't do it. They are scam.
For those of you who have, I could get my refund back by requesting the refund through my bank. It was the only way!. They claimed they didn't had the money but when I sued them it turned out they had it!
Do not use DWT and do not trust their positive reviews.
If you are yet to book:
I) Check the 1* reviews before you proceed to book. 5* reviews are questionable.
If you're pursing a refund due to covid related cancellation:
1) Check with airline that DWT actually booked the ticket - even though they took your money it might be they never booked it. The ticket confirmation may just be a ticket that is 'on hold' with the airline and subsequently is cancelled.
2) If DWT claim they have contacted the airline to pursue a refund, contact the airline to see if that is actually the case.
Answer: Scam do not use, automated replies no refund since March 6th. Been emailing everyday since. Emailed trading standard and reported as fraud. Sent email to my local MP.
Answer: Prepare to do a charge back with your credit card company as soon as possible and buy the tickets directly from the airline. In most cases you will be at airport with no tickets and Dream World Travel will keep claiming that you got the tickets until you have lost the will to pursue your money back. This is their modus operandi.
Answer: Beware. If DWT has not given you a refund (like to hundrerds of others), you might do these: Immediately inform your bank if you used their services and they should help you issue a chargeback. If they cannot help because of the 6-8 weeks 'waiting time' then immediately email DWT to refund within 15 days. If you still dont get it within this, and you used bank transfer/services, credit/debit card, call bank and ask for a chargeback. For credit card one could issue a section 75. If you used other payment methods, ask the company to issue chargeback. One option is to use small claims court or lawyer. Do not waste time, take action right now. Only the bank or court can get any refund due. Once you have done the work for refund, inform action fraud to help save others too. Copy and share this genuine review that i made from my experience to help others too. I only rated this 4 star so it shows at the top for others to read, and for those people who do not click 1or2 star ratings to see the truth. Only people who personally know the DWT staff have had good experiences. Otherwise the rest had a nightmare with DWT.
Answer: They are massive con artists, so you are unlikely to ever get them, or, they will wait until close to the departure of your flights and either ask you for more money, or change the dates and/or times of your flights, because they haven't booked them in advance. Contact Ealing Trading Standards.
Answer: Inform your credit card company that you have not authorised this and according to internet resources this is a scam. If the credit card company has authorised it already, you can do a charge back. Keep declining as in the end you will win.
