The one week, $0 trial that lets you download up to 10 high-quality images, is great value! For less than 2 minutes of your time, you can cop a handful of legal images for your personal/professional use. But make sure you unsubscribe right away, otherwise you're in for some hilariously outrageous charges!
"Best value" plan is a $2,760 annual fee? $230 PER MONTH? TO DOWNLOAD 750 IMAGES? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Who came up with this pricing strategy? And who looked it over in the pricing meeting and said "Ohhhh yeah, approved! $230 per month is totally reasonable for us to charge each user in exchange for access to 750 images. Everyone's gonna sign up!"
I'm going to assume that Dreamstime's primary source of revenue comes from people who forget to cancel their subscription prior to the end of their free trial, because I have a hard time believing that anyone would knowingly subscribe to their services at the current prices.
They say free download then when you register they demand money. Too late they got your email and they sell it.
The Customer service manager told me the Automatic renewal "Was right in my face" in the website. Not true. Headlines of a newspaper or Magazine or Video titles are obvious, not Dreamtime's scam. Dreamstime kept renewing my account even though I just wanted to purchase a few videos and photos. When I finally canceled the predatory subscription, I didn't realize I had a period of time to use or lose my prepaid photos choices I didn't select yet. Now Dreamstime says I have to buy another subscription to regain the photos I pre purchased. Very predatory, sneaky business practices and not customer friendly. Beware!
I signed up for Dreamstime free trial October 2020, 15 images, loved it. I went into the $20 for another 15 images October 2020, great. That subscription renewed November 2020, $25 for another 15 images. So I've paid $45 for 45 images. I had downloaded 35 images at that point, 10 images remaining. Then I download an audio track for $17. But they charge my account $17 then 2 days later $17 AGAIN. So I write customer service about that AUDIO double-charge. They remove the excess $17 but then for some unknown reason they STOP my image subscription and I LOSE my remaining 10 images I had to download! So I paid $45 for 35 images. Too much hassle, I don't trust this company now. Too bad, I enjoyed it for a couple months. I'll go elsewhere.
My advice is to be more selective and quick in assessing a contributor's photo in order to correct the mistake, because I once experienced a very long delay when uploading a photo for almost a month.
And also thank you very much for the quick response when I report directly via email.
I found that with Dreamstime i can have with a very affordable cost the best images in the internet. Thank you guys!
This website contains images of young children with out clothes and in some strange potions. Is it disgusting to say the least. These were just a few of photos I found to be inappropriate. This website is not what it says it is intended for. Its used to trade images of underage children for pedophile purposes. Disgusting.
Huge range of photos and illustrations.
Gladys Farmer, Customer Service Representative, was very helpful.
I would like easier access:
- I look through many pages of images
- I find something I like of page 25
- I look through other pages
- I can't get back to page page 25 without going through many pages i. E. I want to enter page 25 and go directly to it
This is a fraudulent site who charges multiple times. ITS NOT EVEN A FREE TRIAL! PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!
Good attitude towards employees. Much better than other sites. Most importantly, the profit from one photo is higher than other competing sites. It will be nice if I have more sales.
Dreamstime offers a free trail but it's actually not free because the images are all watermarked! Any stock art site offers watermarks without any trial. This is nothing of value. There is no online support chat available.
Decent selection for the price. Difficult to understand what you're buying as a package and that you're going to be continuously billed.
Being a designer and photographer I don't purchase a lot of stock. In fact, to be fully transparent, I actually sell a very small amount of my work on dreamstime. But that being said, there are times when I have to use someone else's work. The value of dreamstime products is one of the best out there (what you get versus your cost) and I fully expect to continue to use them. I've read a lot of the reviews - both positive and negative - and feel that I have to make a few comments. First, I can't speak to their customer service because I've never had to use it (which, in my opinion, is a good thing). But I can speak to them being a scam due to what appears to be people's inability to get something for free. They are certainly not a scam! And to sign up for anything, only to take advantage of getting something for free, is simply sad - it seems like that's exactly what many of the folks complaining are doing. If dreamstime has an offer that is misleading they certainly need to fix it. And as both a contributor and occasional buyer I hope that they do. But if you need to buy stock pony up what they're asking for or go elsewhere. Bottom line is you get what you pay for.
They offer 7 days trial. After 2 days I sent Email asking to cancel my subscription. Got foggy answer that autorenewal is off?!
Again I request to cancel my subscription (day 3) and they wait 7 days and charged me a monthly subscription. I will report this to Federal Trade Commission. Criminals!
Cheating! They offer 7 days free and then charge

I've been using Dreamstime for over 5 years, and downloading images has gone smoothly, and at decent prices. However, I am now working on a corporate video, where I am having HUGE issues downloading 2 of the 3 videos I've used in my composition, and customer service is useless. They do not communicate or understand the problem. Going on over 2 weeks now where I'm running over my deadline, and Dreamstime has yet to respond in a clear manner or resolve the problem. Completely unprofessional, and unacceptable. It takes them over 3 days to respond to every email. A week goes by with just a single point of contact. This site is not for professionals!
Extremely useless customer support. Opened cases with them for billing and never replied. They disputed my CC chargeback and has created false claims. Do not sign up with them unless you want to be hit with random charges!
They claim to offer FREE images, even showing a huge "Free Download" button, when you try to download an image they ask you to subscribe. So you subscribe for free to download the free image as offered and you are redirect to a monthly membership if you want that image.
Completely misleading, probably just harvesting email addresses. Now getting ready for a bombardment of spam from them.
I don't mind paying for images, but will NEVER pay for them on a site that lies to get you to sign up. If they were up front about the images NOT BEING FREE that would be ok. I use Shutterstock, and buy a ot of images, but they at least are up front about the images costing. The only reason I looked at Dreamstime was because it had the image I wanted, but I will now go to shutterstock and buy my second choice. Terrible predatory business practice, hopefully people will not sign up and they can drift off into oblivion where they belong.
They offer images free nd when you try to download an image they ask for subscribe. Ok you subscribe to download free that image like it was offered and you are redirect to a monthly membership if you want that image.
If is offered for free should be free.
I was ready to pay for the image I was looking for but is unacceptable the lies to take money from you.
I wanted a single high-def image of an apple for a label I copied for a low quality customer for my job I was layed off from due to Covid. I have been charged over $100 for the subscription they forced me into and then I was just charged $56 to cancel this scam. The website still has access to my debit card info and won't allow me to delete my account. So not only did I lose my source of income due to low workload, but I lost $156 dollars of what money I have left because of an APPLE. I am infuriated. If I am charged any further I am going to lose it.
