What a joke. So they get you in buy advertising 10 free pix with a free trial. Which is pretty standard, Adobe and several of the other big boys offer free trials too. Difference is, they actually deliver. With Dreamstime, you sign up thinking you'll get 10 free pictures but when you download them, they are lousy with watermarks. Only THEN do you find out that the free trial is for watermarked pictures to use in "mock ups". They're merely to test the quality. If you want the actual files without watermarks, they make you upgrade to a commercial plan. You now have TWO subscriptions. The original "free trial" and now the commercial plan, BOTH of which renew automatically and charge you if you don't cancel.
What a scam.
This site is littered with symbolism of child trafficking and blatantly comes out and offers stock photos for human trafficking. I have read an article recently that this symbol is used to promote trafficking. It's just unbelievable how deep this goes.
I had an "Extended license subscription" for extended licenses for 25 pictures for the price of 607. I made a note of the appointment to cancel the subscription in good time. I wanted to cancel the day before it expired.
However, approx. 4 hours before expiration (note: the corresponding time zone of the USA applies here, not always the place you ordered the licenses), the subscription from Dreamstime was extended independently. A further 607 should be collected by credit card.
I only managed to cancel my subscription after massive complaints.
Better buy your pictures from other picture agencies.
Their website offered me a free download of an image providing I register a free account. On registering a free account and logging in the website wanted me to purchase the said "free image" for a fee. I have no respect for misleading marketing and won't be using this website again.
Signed up for 7-day free trial, and cancelled that day when I realised there wasn't enough variety, choice or quality of imagery. 4 weeks later they have taken $25 from my bank account. It's now impossible to contact them - the enquiry form and contact telephone numbers do not work.
Canceling the subscription is a nightmare, I called all the numbers a female voice just says goodbye! Also tried to email clicking the send button does not work so I have to block them from my credit card!
The Download failed, they still took the 33 credits and want to charge another 60 credits for trying to download the same video again. Obvious dirty scammers
It was my first and last experience with tthem. 24 for normal res. Image with lot of annoying emails and silly ways to steal your mony
Stay away from this company. It is a total scam that trick you into paying and then won't refund you. I wish that this company would be closed down because they are a complete scam stealing money from people.
They will steal your money and refuse to refund. Get away from this rip-off firm. They will still deduct money from your account and give you dubious reasons. I have just learn that this is what they do. Just scammers.
Just read the other reviews on here I had the same experience, entered my credit card details for a "free 7 day trial" I was charged $40 the same day I signed up without notification. Whatever you do, do not enter your credit card details into this site.
I used them only 1 time. It was supposed to be 1 month free and canceled anytime. But they kept charging me $25 a month. And when I requested to cancel, they said i already signed up for "an annual subscription of $25/month". My options are to continue the annual subscription or pay a penalty to get out of the contract. I paid $59 to get out of the contract that I didn't even know I agreed.
I put my credit card towards a week of free trial. It didn't say anywhere that if I didnt like the trial I would be charged. I downloaded 5 pictures, all of them had a huge watermark, impossible to work with them, after all, if I had entered my credit card, I would have though that they would at least provide me with real pictures without a watermark. So I decided to close the trial. My trial lasted less than an hour, I got immediately charged a whole month. I repeatedly tried contacting customer suppport. They didnt aswer any of the 4 emails I sent them. I made a fraud claim thru my credit card. Stay away from this people.
I wish I had looked for reviews BEFORE I signed onto this site. What other people are saying is true. They word it so that it sounds like you get 10 free images, then they charge for a subscription because it is 'industry standard' to offer free watemarked images. I'm not in 'the industry', so how would I even know that.
The line on the attachment I shared where it says "Full size comp files for test purposes" supposedly means "Watermarked 10 image comp trial". There is no mention of watermark anywhere when you sign up and I took 'comp' to mean complimentary. NOT!
Don't fall for the FREE part of this site, there is no such thing.
Not providing anything for "free" as images are watermarked. In same minute as they got my card info they charged full subscription price.
The Dreamstime website is misleading and dishonest. It first drew me in with its offer to "get 10 images - free trial" It's not a free trial - they charge you for the month and add 10 images to the monthly quota. They then set you up to automatically renew the monthly plan.
Then - get this - when you cancel the renewal so that you don't get billed again, the cancellation is reversed every time you download an image using your current credits.! Unbelievable. They should be reported.
PS The website is also difficult to navigate when you are downloading. It is full of smoke and mirrors.
Ive made an account and subscribed to one of the plans. To find out my account became nonexistent while charging my card with any invoices or authorization. DO NO TRUST THIS SITE.
Be aware of Dreamstime.com and their fraudulent offers. They offer a 7 day free trial and charge your account straight away. I had to cancel my credit card because of them.
Company is a complete ripoff. Paid three months without downloading any pictures. Stopped my subscription tried to get credits I had paid for and was told I would have to sign up again to receive the credits I had already paid for.
They lure you in with a free subscription.
Then suddenly i got a message from my creditcard there was a payment to Dreamstine?
This isn't a FREE subscription! This is SCAM!
And the free images they promise, are watermarked so you can't do anything with it.
The website isn't very good either, always logging in and out again and also a bad translation.
