For 20+ years we've not only been loyal customers but got many family and friends to sign up. For a few months they stopped sending us emails and text alerts about payment. Only to find out, they had been charging us $40 a month more than usual. When we called they just blew us off and wouldn't refund any of the amount. We dropped instantly. I took pictures of everything in the boxes that we were sending back. I knew with how they were acting, it was going to be a problem. Sure enough, they are saying we didn't return the Joey receiver even though it's in all the photos. They are now charging us $53. After arguing with them for over an hour and them still refusing to drop the charges, I'm just going to pay it and let the world know. Really? What would we need with a stupid Joey? Streaming services are the only way to go. Wish we would've done this YEARS ago! Saving us so much money now!

Quit Dish they own me refund of $42 and change. Over 2 months went by after they received my equipment back. Called them may 10 was told something went wrong, and now they would issue it in 5 business days. It has now been 20 days since that day. I guess they count business days different than I do. This is the worst company I ever dealt with to get a refund that is due me. Stay away from them if you value your money.

Rip off!

Dish is a rip off! They are trying to charge us $140 for early termination, when we have been out of our contract for a long time now. They even charge you to return their crappy equipment! They are sorry and out for every penny they can get! Well they won't see that money! I called to see what the termination fee was about, and got told that bc we added a room, "they put us under another 2 year contract" lol without telling us anything. When I asked them how they could do that, without making ppl aware of this first, he said bc they can! They are nothing but rip offs! Streaming tv Is way better and cheaper!

I never liked this service; we got it back when my wife's soaps weren't available same-day online. The user interface is terrible, even as a software engineer I can understand how it's set up but not how they could imagine any human being, myself included, would like it.

But the worst of all is the way they cheat you. At installation time they make you buy some of the equipment but lease other parts (and they hide the detail that what you're only leasing includes a box attached to the dish on your roof, until you try to discontinue), and they send an installer. But when you want to quit, they require return all the "leased" parts, and they don't even promise that you'll be charged less if you send back the main receiver without the box from your roof.

Absolutely no reason to give these jerks any of your money.

Dish switches most of your favorite recorded shows over to On Demand, and when you try to watch them either tells you "this event has expired" or simply offers you no other option but to press "delete", no reason given. These are shows you programmed to be recorded by your DVR for later viewing. I've absolutely had it with this poorly-run company. I'm switching to Hulu.

I would give 0 stars but that's not an option. They must be going out of business because they do whatever they can to suck money out of you and try to keep you paying their bill. All I can say is lousy and buyer beware. I was a customer for over 20 years, that doesn't matter to them. Constant complete dish failures for 2 months and they locked me into a yearly subscription and I only had 24 hours to decline. Bad people!

Dish network

Dish network is overrated. A lot interruptions. Middle of a show it just acts up. They are not really trying to improve the system. Every day I go through the same thing. Can wait till my contract is up.

I called because my monthly charge jumped from $107.43 to $137.23. No problem the "customer service" representative said. I can take care of that for you. If you pay today, your charge will be $107.43. From now on. Here is the confirmation number. The amount charged to me was $137.23. Calling customer service is an exercise in futility. They HANG UP on you. They redirect you to outer space. THET LIE, LIE, LIE. If I could give them a ZERO I would.

Awful service

I am so fed up with Dish due to no customer service at all even the chat line isn't a valid way to reach them. I havent had service for 2 days.
They don't answer any of the numbers listed and the recording told me I have multiple accounts which I only have one. Finally my only recourse is to cancel auto pay through my bank and dispute the last payment I paid. I can't even reach a number to cancel. Guess I will hear from them now demanding money. Good luck with that Dish.

The absolute worst satellite company for service and updating equipment they have you take off work to service your satellite that never works and then cancel on you having you miss a day of work but expect their bill to be paid on time all the all the time worthless company was supposed to show up between 8:00 and 12:00 and we get these two messages

The service was ok, but don't even try to get anything resolved. Not 1 person communicates, no one answers the phone, on hold up to an hour. If you DO get through and get 3 different "agents" they all tell you a different story.
Most don't have a clue what you are trying to tell them. Very disgusted with their customer so called service. I don't know how they stay in business.

When you add up all their prices on a yearly basis, you're actually paying more for the 3 basic services: TV, Phone, Internet; than you would with cable providers.
What's the point? To have a dish on your roof? And no service when the weather turns bad?

Don't waste your money on Dish but go to Direct TV instead. Their "customer service" sucks almost as much as Dish plus they can't deliver local stations as promised. Don't be trapped into a contract with this "network."

Terrible company

Dish is a company that doesn't care for customers, their Hopper 3 is just garbage, you get caught in a contract for several years and you can not even see live TV., their customer service is a joke, Hope, (that was her name in tier 2) says there is nothing she can fo to fix my service, imagine if the higher technical support doesn't want to do their job, who can help you then? Go with Comcast Xfinity or other serious and solid company that actually provides service to their clients.

Dishonest company

We completed our 2 year contract, called to cancel and get return box, lady on phone talked me into a 2 month review, after which we could cancel. I foolishly agreed, and then this dishonest company was hacked. We bought a smart tv and were glad to save $100/month. This was 1 year and 9 months ago, Dec 2021. Now they are coming after us for over $300 for equipment rental and service which we have not had.

When signing up for Dish I ordered the special, $49.99 for 2 years. They sweeten the deal with 3 months FREE HBO, Showtime, etc... I was sure to cancel the premiums 2 weeks before the final date. So... I got a bill for $95.00... I was shocked. I called CS, and he told me that, yes it had been cancelled by me, but a day before my cycle had ended. He assured me that a credit of approx. $45.00 would be returned to my account, and here is the hitch... not my banking account but Dish billing account! Pissed me off, do not use auto pay, Dish has access to how to use your money. Don't sign up for free anything, Dish will get you one way or the other.

They promised the world and delivered crap! This POS will go down and go down. 4-5 times a day and at least 3-4 times a night. This whole process takes at least 10 - 15 minutes. We end up having to reset this POS 4 - 10 times a day… if your trying to watch something. Forget it! Oh and we were promised a $200 gift card for switching. It's been over a year and not a damn thing. Except raising our rate. Which we were "locked in " at certain price for 2 years! Bottom line is stay away for Dish! Direct TV may cost a little extra. But the problems are rare. This company needs to hit the road. THEY SUCK!

Dish had terrible service. After 3 years they still haven't ever fully installed the satellite receiver. Went up on the prices once a year and charged me with any extra month after I ended my service then sent me to collections when I didn't pay a bill I didn't know I had!

Subscribing to dish was a mistake don't do it!

Gave one star because the scale doesn't go negative!

What is wrong with dish? I have had nothing but problems with this company. Service techs have been to my home numerous times to allegedly fix problems with our dish reception, however, nothing to date has succeeded. I only with we lived in an area where we could have a choice of another provider. Each time they come to our home they fix or add something to our service which costs more money and still doesn't fix the problem.

We used to receive the Seattle Mariners baseball games, however, they have blacked out all Mariner games now and increased the price of our service.

I don't believe there is anything Dish Network could do to appease my wife and I at this point, other than end their entire operation and eliminate the entire company.

Now I'm asked to add proof of purchase! I don't even know what that would be so, I will ignore it.
