Lesson learned after a Dish Technician stole valuables from my house => Use a security camera to record the movements of the Dish Technician while he is in your house and even when he is exiting. Take a picture of his vehicle's plates. That is the only way you can prove that he stole those valuables. Dish employs contract labor as Technicians. So, they disclaim all responsibility and do not help retrieve or compensate you for the stolen items.
I was dish client for 6 years. They applied a balance to my bill after account. The apply collections without sending the proper 30 day letter allowing clients to dispute. I recommend to switch to any other cable provider
Worst company to work with poor communication skills, attitude with customer. Turned in to collections without warning when told they would put our account on pause. Explained situation and got run around every time. Harassment calls while trying to work. Just very unprofessional and unsatisfying company to work with! We've been customers for 6 years and never had late payments until I spoke and put our account on pause.
After loosing tv for two weeks, called to get a rebate. The woman on the line, Sarah, was wonderful. She was excellent. Took care of my rebate and we spent a while visiting. It was great. She was so accommodating and took the time to make me feel good about choosing Dish. You need more like her!
Signed up with the intention of receiving a $50 per month credit for 12 months.When bill was received there was no credit and agent stated no indication on my account of such promo.Also charged for shipping receiver when Protect Silver Program states no charge.Awful Customer Service and no Supervision to speak with when trying to resolve issues.
When I started with dish, it has three of my favorite channels. They installed it and the very next week I lost CBS. Then I lost NBC. I got back CVS several months later. It's gone again and has been gone for the past year. The CW is gone. I have not been able to watch a Cincinnati Reds baseball game in the past three years because dish refuses to deal with Bally sports Ohio. Both spectrum and DIRECTV offer these channels. If you are looking at switching to dish, think again. I would great – zero stars but unfortunately, the site requires me to pick at least one star.
It all started when my receiver started freezing up so I called Dish. I was on hold for 55 minutes never to speak to a customer service a hung up. Call back the next morning on hold 29 minutes neighbor spoke to customer service finally two days later, call them back I get to speak to someone after 15 minutes she sent me up an appointment between 12 and five. I get a phone call at five till five saying he's going to be there between 515 and 6 O'clock 615 they call me and tell me he's an hour and a half away I'm done with this net work have used them. It's time for five years and five years before this neighbor.
For the past two days I've been trying to log into my account so I can pay my bill. It just keeps loading the customer service phone number will not answer. I am fed up and do not know what to do, there is not a dish in my hometown. This is ridiculous! How can I get in touch
Dish makes a lot of money on us customers each & every month so just pay the higher fees for our local channels and other lost channels, that's being a good company for there customers,
My Dish contract is up and will not renew it and possibly leaving Dish, with many dropped channels they are still charging us the same. There are too many other options out there.
Dish pretty much refused to cancel my service and made promises of lower rates to get me into another contract. I reluctantly agreed and the bill came and was higher than promised. Bad customer service and deceptive practices.
System constantly goes out, freezes, lose sound, overall extremely poor service. Customer service is extremely sad. Waited for 1 hour to be told I would have to wait an additional 2 hours to cancel. Constant lies an incompetence.
Check on your elderly family members and friends and ensure DISH isn't robbing them and threatening them like they did to my elderly family member. I have never experienced more repulsive behavior from the representatives of any service company as has been displayed by the representatives of DISH Network whose service was not installed in my elderly family member's home and yet they continued to automatically withdraw $320.00 per month even after they were notified multiple times that the service was not connected. Disgusting behavior by phone reps raising their voices and insisting she signed a contract for 36 months and she would have to pay. What kind of pigs con the elderly? DISH Network, that's who.
Do business with any other company and stay away from DISH.
We currently have Direct TV and was thinking of switching to Dish. Your honest and informative reviews have put a halt to that notion.
With Direct, we have not had CBS since October 2022. Needless to say, we missed so many previously watched shows. Will now investigate Xfinity
They claim in the new commercial that if you lose signal because of a storm they will refund you. We lost service during a storm, I took a picture of my TV screen and they told me they had no report of storms in my area that night. The thunder was so loud I should have recorded that I guess.
I can't wait for my contract to end. I will never use Dish again. I missed so many of my favorite programs, due to the fact they are always in contract disputes and have to remove the channel. Customer service is beyond awful! I had to wait for two hours to talk to someone about my bill. As of now the billing system is messed up, I've been trying to reach them for days and kept giving up due to the fact, it was always an hour wait. Totally disgusted. I wouldn't advise anyone to use Dish. Not worth it!
Had dish install at my home tech said he was not going in my crawl space first off! Second I asked for the dish to be put on the side of the house on the ground tech put it on my porch roof leaving about 4 inches of nail thru the porch roof! Called dish of course they will get back to you! Well they have been calling every day but I hold on and get disconnected! When I called today the first person told me that no supervisor takes calls and he is the only one I can talk to! So I called back AGAIN to be told they are having system issues and can not help me call back in 3 hours then they will see if they can help me!
While a customer of the dish network, the system had issues, and lost contact with my receiver. After waiting on the phone for 2 hours an employee came on the line. I explained the loss of signal she said she would transfer me to a customer service representative for help. I am still waiting again for over two hours this time, I went to online chat, and I am 172 in line for help. Highly recommend this company for anyone who has time to waste, Good luck,
I have tried calling Dish network for 7 days. Recording said there were problems call back later. I have now been on hold for1hour and 9 minutes and don't see anyone picking up. My 93 year Mother had a two year contract at a set rate. 6 months later I received an email stating her bill was now being charged another $5.00 for something we didn't order. She only wants about 5 channels but of course that wasn't possible. I do not recommend Dish because you can't get anyone on the phone to talk to about anything. DO NOT GET DISH!
In the three months of having access to Dish Network, it's been one disappointment after another. Channels being dropped without warning continously, and several haven't returned, despite the promise of swift negotiations. I've been without my local ABC station for nearly a quarter of my time with Dish Network. And recording programs is a hassle, as multiple tuners cannot perform tasks simultaneously, meaning you have to watch the program you're already recording, or cease it to watch something else. Lastly, the promised $200 gift card for switching has never arrived. If not for the three contract, I'd switch back to DirecTV right now.
Been with Dish almost 2 years (22 months to be exact). After signing up initially they rolled out new equipment but I could "pay" to upgrade. Called to cancel several months ago due to increased cost and old equipment and was hit with the $20 a month to get out of contract mess. Finally got fiber internet in my neighborhood so after it was installed I called to cancel again. For a week, 2 hour wait times, others I know also canceling had same issue. Finally waited 80 minutes today to be chastised about my time with dish. The two started out excited and talkative but once I explained I wanted to cancel it was all downhill and down to business. So APPARENTLY you have to pay $20 to receive a cardboard box and mail the equipment back. 1 box per item so $40 for me. Nowhere to deliver or drop off equipment and no way around this. Total scam! Based on how many are on long wait times, lots jumping ship.
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks
