Our household remained loyal DISH NETWORK customers for three decades... Was it really necessary to remove the TNT channel from our package RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLUB WORLD CUP CHAMPIONSHIP?! I understand there are occasional third-party broadcast disputes on the DISH we are purchasing. In the past, we went without CBS for about five months and more recently, NBC for what I believe was close to a YEAR-and-a-half! But to send out a customer letter within literally a weekend of pulling the plug on a channel the customer is paying a package for -- and in the middle of a sports championship -- that only lasts a couple more days. THAT IS THE EPITOME OF CRUMMY TREATMENT OF YOUR CUSTOMERS! And... please don't blame this TIMING all on the Turner network. I am one customer who will be discontinuing my selection of DISH for my entertainment/sports broadcast in the near future. I'll be sure to make MY severance equally as abrupt.
I just canceled my subscription with dish dur to the poor reception and that they ar3 not an honest company. When I first becam.a customer I was told that their signal has a 98% success rate. That is an absolute lie, it only takes a light rain shower or just a few clouds to disrupt the signal. Next when you try to call customer service there is always a wait. I have not made a call to them without having to wait at least 40 minutes. Then when I finally get through their customer service reps are extremely rude and not helpful at all. Lastly when I finally had enough and canceled my subscription l, I was told it would cost $60.00 for the three remaining months and $25.00 to ship back their equipment. We'll guess what, again I was lied to because they send me a bill for $80.00 because now I have 4 months on my contract and $75.00 to ship back the equipment. I cannot recommend this company and will warn you about doing any business with them. They are liers and theives
I had DTV for many years and then decided to change when I moved to a new location and received an offer from Dish. It was the biggest mistake! Dish TV has a terrible user interface, terrible customer service and their equipment buffers and freezes all the time. Their only remedy is to restart, restart, restart. I cancelled within less than 60 days and they still charged a $440 cancellation fee plus another $135. That's $575 to cancel a service that did not work properly nor was remedied. I gladly paid it as this company is nothing but image and no substance. DTV works like a charm and has the programming and customer service to back it up. None of the cable or satellite companies have ever been all that great, but Dish TV is on a new level of low.
I called about our Hopper and Joey constantly freezing up. We had to unplug it two or three times per day. Also, the hopper would not switch with the Joey, and after pausing the Hopper it would just go to live mode. When I called tech support they couldn't help over the phone. The tech said we could get a new Hopper 3 with extras for only $3/month. I was connected to sales and went through 35 minutes of agreeing to order a new Hopper 3 and Joey, then made an appointment for a morning 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. I checked the tech arrival page that morning at 8:00 a.m. and no tech was scheduled. We got a voicemail that the tech would arrive at 9:45. However, he pulled into our driveway at 8:15. He never showed up on my dish network app. The tech drove through our yard leaving divots in the grass and this along with the arrival time upset us. The Dish Network technician was very rude and condescending when he was told not to drive through our yard and that he was early. He said he would just leave. After he left I called customer service and told them about the tech. We could not allow him back and requested a different technician. They said they would send a different tech and setup another appointment. When I checked the Dish Network tech finder app, I saw the same guy was scheduled to come. So, I called customer service and said we could not allow that rude, arrogant person in our home. So, they scheduled another appointment more than a week later, and the morning of the appointment I checked the app again and saw the same guy. Again, I called customer service; I asked for a manager, but they are always in a meeting. It's not over yet.
I was a Dish Customer for over 20 years. We live rural and satellite TV was our only choice. The only internet was 3mb DSL over phone lines. We were finally able to get decent internet and decided to switch to streaming TV instead of satellite TV. When I called to cancel my service they tried to tell me that I was under contract for another year... I had been a customer for over 20 years and was perplexed as to how or why I would still be under contract. I was told it was because they had to replace my satellite reciever the previous year. Now this is we're I got really upset because I had been paying the extra money all of these years for equipment protection. They told me in order to cancel my service with them that I would have to buy out the remainder my contract which I did it cost me nearly $250. I did this instead of arguing with them because the person on the otherside was only stating that that they could do nothing to help you unless unless I payed. So I paired and I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, it took over 6 months but I got my money back...
I have been with dish network for over three years and I have a contract ending in December I decided to end the service with them they ask me for the equipment and they send me the label I put 3 receiver in the box they claim that they only get 2 of them they decided to charge me $452.64 for that this company is a sh!t and robbing people if you end service with them they will find a way to rob you
I canceled my service with them and I canceled before the contract expired I got charged $10 for the remaining month I understand I put 3 receiver in one box they said they only get 2 and charge me $452.64 never deal with Dish network even the ups guy told me take a picture of your tracking they can say that they don't receive anything for them to find way to charge you,how is it possible that you get 2 receiver and all was in one box
Had sever problems with dish network over the years. When I finally decided to cancel the agent told me my balance would be between $10-$20 for the prorated balance. Then I receive a bill for $140! I called and they told me they can't do anything for their agent giving me wrong information. Their service is okay at best but beware they will change you like crazy, and make it almost impossible to get rid of them
WE have been having issues for years having too reset reciever 2 to 5 times daily so on August 31 it totally went out and our nearest possible tech apnmnt was the 4th of September then cancell again so now its the 11th of September WOW
DishNetwork is awful complex prices Cooking Channel Magnolia Channel free in 2025 other Channels HBO Showtime Max a month be for all 3 is $5 more Thanks KEBA LYONS Chandler Ok
Dish was no longer going to offer internet services through Viasat, and finally after sending a certified letter, I got credited for 1 month of service that I didn't receive and they wouldn't credit me for the 2nd month they billed me.
I'll cancel TV as soon as my contract is up.
So we got this thing if you sign up for dish you get a 500. Gift card. The tech. That hooked it up said we had to call the code in. So I called it in. She said oh you have to wait till you have it 30 days then call it in. So, I called today may 7. Now she says, oh. You don't qualify because you had to give the tech the code when he was out to hook it up! So, it's a BIG FAT SCAM...Everyone pushes the blame on another person. Biggest rip off ever.
Dish offers free installation meaning they provide the consumer with the ANTENNA and equipment to make the service work, when the cancelation of the service happens, they do not remove the antenna that belongs to them, on top of that, if you request them to remove it, they want to charge the consumer over $ 150.00 for the removal, so far, I never had an issue with the service until the cancellation time, IT IS A COMPANY THAT ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY BUT DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE NOR CUSTOMER TIME, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.
I had the promo for a 300.00 gift card for switching from Direct tv to Dish and 8 months later I'm still trying to get it! I've turned them into the BBB and they still have excuses! The best one was they don't have my address! Somehow they manage to mail my bill to me! Think carefully before signing up with Dish! False advertising for sure!
When I first signed up with them I was promised the same rate after 4 months my bill went up. I was also promised a gift card that I never received. After calling several times I got the run around from several reps. Finally told them to keep it. I made the biggest mistake signing a contract with them
I contacted Dish Network about installing,
there TV service, they came out on Friday to install the service, Dish technician installed the box, looked good, has me to sign off, I did thinking I had dish but to my suprise he informs me that a AT&T technician would be out on Friday to complete the Dish installiation, at which time I pulled the cord from from the Dish box and reconnected it to my carrier. On Monday the the AT&T tech comes out and comes back inside and informed me that "I had to many trees and he could not complete the instatliation of the Dish box. I contacted Dish and relayed this information to them and that I had the box and needed to come pick it up their equipment. I talked to one employee who just laughed and stated laughing "We have you now". More phone calls and I was asked to return the box to the State St. Address, I did, they had moved, which led to more phone calls and were to take the box, I was informed that they did not know were they had moved to, Either myself or my son tried to return the box on several occassions. They had my address they could have stopped by and picked up the box. I tried to return it to their new location but it was refused because I needed a shipping label. After they turned it over to collections I spoke with the individuals at collections, several trips were made to UPS in an attempt to return the box. I contacted these individuals informing them that I needed a shipping label to return the box which I did not receive. Finally I received a shipping labeld and I returned the box unused and in the same shape it was left in at my home. Now they have sent me a bill for 350.00 + dollars this has gone to far and it is totally ridiculous. This negative is now on my credit report and it should be removed now.

DON'T count on getting the $500 prepaid credit card like they say you will! It's a game! As the old saying goes, it was too good to be true and DISH proved it! So frustrating!
Even the person on the phone doesn't even know why the charges are there, though give you 10 different reasons? They don't know which one it is they just shoot in the dark
The equipment quit after 6 months. I called and they said our equipment was obsolete. Then when we called back again they said something else. A Sham.
It is extremely disappointing that Dish does not put women's college basketball schedules on game finder. As a former high school girls basketball coach I feel this is disrespectful to those athletes and fans who enjoy watching the amazing talent that this sport attracts.
Answer: Because it sounds great to have 1200 channels even if 1195 channels are nothing but infomercials, most people like me think wow I will have so many movies to watch I might have to record 5 while I watch 1 but after you get your 1200 channels you realize most every movie you would like to see can only be viewed if you pay an extra rental fee, another huge disadvantage to satellite tv is the frequency of commercials and the time the commercials are shown, regular tv used to be a 2 minute commercial break, dish network and directv have over 5 minute commercial breaks
Answer: Yes ive been with them for 15 years and when i said this is ridiculous the guy said 'OK' and nothing more they are terrible
Answer: They bait and switch with their supposed DVR recording option that they change to On Demand, making it impossible for you to watch what you thought you recorded.
