Did not inform me, when canceled service that I would be charged 135.00 per dvr, if not returned within 3 weeks. Whenever I call to speak to someone, it takes about an hour, to get off the phone. Always more frustrated, when I hang up, than I was when I called. Just get a Roku!
I was double charged for my Direc TV billing. After 45 minutes on the phone, I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told that someone would call me back. That didn't happen. After repeated calls, I was transferred to a recorded line and told that I could dispute the charge through my bank or send DirecTV a letter. Unless one has additional funds available, I would caution doing business with them. A duplicate charge of $188 is a lot of money to me.
I just canceled directv for the second and last time. All they did was lie about everything. My bill went up 30 dollars in just 16 months. When I signed up I told them I did not want and specials or promotional deals, just a constant payment which would be the same every month. Of course they lied and, in less then 6 months my bill went up 10 dollars followed be an 20 Increase in then a year. So make sure you get everything in writing if you sign up with them.
If you get their service make sure that when you cancel you cancel on the EXACT date of your billing cycle. They will NOT issue any prorated fees paid even though they are NOT providing you with ANY service. Unethical? I think so. Unfair? You bet. Misleading? Yup. Legal? Seem to be as it's buried in the service agreement you "agree" to when you become a customer.
Horrible interface. Feels like something out of the 80's. There are always differences as to what can be found or accessed on the TV vs on the website.
There isn't that much content to watch online and the website is horribly laid out.
We got out of the cable company because of cost. Thinking this would be better. Well we were wrong. We got a TV package for cheaper. But being hockey fans we realized that there was no Nesn channel in our package. So I call to have it added. Was told I would have to upgrade to a higher level for 50 dollars more a month. And was never told at the beginning that it was a 2 yr contract. Would have never went with it if we knew that. So they lied and they are pirates. The way they run. Nothing but lies to get you to go for there company.
I pay so much money for the sports package to watch my team play. There is time that they get blocked and I am forced to watch in someone else's net work. Or my team gets blocked period and I cannot watch them. I am thinking of cancelling my subscription. Not a happy customer at all.

We have had DirecTV for over 20 years and just moved. We set up an appointment to get a new dish installed and hooked up. The tech came and I am assuming he didn't want to work that day because he talked us into switching to your new streaming service. He said he ordered us everything we needed and it would be here by Friday. It never came so we called. Turns out, that guy never ordered anything and all the customer service reps we talked to couldn't speak English and kept hanging up on us. We were loyal customers and are so disappointed in how we have been treated. We are probably going to switch to a different service.
I had a problem with 1 of my TVs pic freezing up for a couple seconds on and off. Lady tried to sell me a service plan. I said why should I pay if there's a problem with the equipment she said because it's in my house. I'm already paying for cable and according to her if anything goes wrong I have to pay to have someone come out and fix it. That's BS. She said I have to take care of it. I said what should i do go gets some wax and polish it. That's nuts.
I signed up with them a few months ago and they told my wife I'll bill was going to be 90 something dollars a month but my first bill was 160 then my second and third fourth bill was $200 something dollars they are lying do not use them their rip off ever they are lies and thieves
"Upgraded" equipment never worked although technician here over 2 day period. No TV for 2 weeks and canceled. Now I have a bill for two years cancelation fee. Also, when agent says her supervisor will call you right back, it's a trick to get you off the line.They don't call.
Refused to move automatic payment three days. Offered to suspend service for those days and start a new due date. This is STUPID! This service has increased from 59 to 79. Stated when I signed up 59 was for a year but then changed to 3 months. Increased to 69 after the 3 months then 74 in three months and again 3 months to 79. There are too many other streaming services such as YOUTUBE which offer more and are cheaper. I am seriously going to consider going to another service with more concern about retaining their streaming customers who wish to pay their bills with automatic paymentson different days when the service was a one price and has increased 20 in less than a year.
Excellent customer for years! Paid on time always. Then one day doubled my charges? So I switched. Another bigger mistake. When I asked for a detailed final bill(so it could show an early termination fee they said they didnt have accesd to that information? Wait? What? So now the new provider will not pay the buy out request because I cant get the bill to say early termination fee. Im pretty sure they are working together to get even more money out of us. Horrible company!
I called and cancelled my service on 6-19-2023. I just got a bill for $260.00 and was told that it was because the billing cycle began on 6-17-23. That is $130.00 per day of use. I returned my equipment on the 20th of June and didn't use the service since. What kind of scam is that? If I don't pay they will turn me out to collections. WHAT A RIP OFF. And by the way I was told that they are no longer owned by AT&T yet my bill still comes from AT&T. Do not use these people for your service...they'll just screw you over in the end.
Summer residence service reconnected 4/9/22, never worked, had technician come out in late April. Service still didn't work in May, made another tech appt, 1st available was 7/22. Called to see if earlier appt avail, rep said 7/22 was never schd but had one on 7/15. Technician never showed within timeframe so with 20 minutes left I called and received an auto message they changed appt to 7/19. Cust Ser said they no longer supported my boxes, if I wanted new boxes $1495 charge if I did not opt into 2 year contract. Could not get a refund for service not received since April unless I restored service first but no tech are available. 2 techs in all of New England and they are subcontractors. Worst experience ever after 16 years of service.
As a long term customer I've decided to cancel our service. After 1.5 hrs on phone seeing if directv cares about there long term customers and if they can do anything about the price they couldn't even come close. To top it off they tried to get me anther month at premium price bc they don't pro rate. But they don't tell you that unless you ask. I give it another 3 years max and directv will be no more. It's sad when companies get to big and and forget about the customers that were there from the start of it all. Times are changing and directv is not keeping up with time. There's a ton of competition out there do your research there's many options that are way cheaper. I also realized that directv does a federal assistant program for low income people, while I'm over here paying premium price for 10 plus years. Well not anymore! FU YOU DIRECTV!
Signed up for Directv and was told we would get a $200 Visa Card after 3-4 months, now after 6 months called Directv and it expired. We were never told we had to call them with 120 days to ask for this card. If you advertise to send a Visa Card after so many months, JUST SEND IT. Rip off. After our contract is done, we will move on and never return (if we wait that long). Beware of their false advertisement for the Visa card special.
Apparently ever since Direct TV hired 3rd party installers the service has dropped considerably. Wanted to get nFL Sunday Ticket so we could watch our Cowboys play in our new home in North Carolina. First install was for Sept. 2,2022. Tech cancelled without notice. Rescheduled also was a no show with second reschedule. No notice again. Today, Oct. 3rd another no show. Had to call Philippines to find out tech rescheduled for Oct. 15th. Not worth the hassle and lack of notifications. Cancelled installation since We have gone through to many missed Cowboy NFL games. Will go with Dish and try another way to get NFL games. Totally disappointed with AT&T and Direct TV
Was told by sales we could add a second line for an additional $7/,momth p lus tax. When we got the bill they added $10/month for an "updated receiver" for which we never asked. 2 days of calls to DirecTV with requests for a manager resulted in our being sent to AT&T Uverse which has nothing to do with our service. Each time, they had my friend so upset she suffered all day. Never trust them!
Loyalty means nothing to them. My bill suddenly went up by over $70. When I called, they said my discount had run out, but since I was a loyal customer I could receive a $60 discount starting in a month. I asked to have it back dated and was told they do not have a way to back date. Once money received no way to give credit. I researched and decided to go to YOUTUBE TV. When called to cancel was told once again that I could not cancel during billin cycle - once bill is sent full month is due. I had Directv for more than 10 years - how stupid of me!
Answer: I saw a ad on a mailing paper for some really decent pricing but it was all a scam you do not get the pricing that were on the paper
Answer: It is a scam 100%. Just read the reviews. You don't realize it until they got your money and you need something! They are holding peoples money from them that doesn't belong to them. They may even tell you you'll get it back. Just keep waiting, you wont. Then you have to call back and go through the entire process again. I'm on 6 weeks now/Overdraft fees/No Thanksgiving/ and I have photo proof I cancelled 2 days before my free trial was up. They just didn't want me to cancel! Lol. They do things different here. You have been WARNED my friends!
