I purchased 2 recliners. When the finally arrived, the smell coming off of them was horrible. The company admitted the bad smell and replaced the recliners. The new ones have the same bad smell about them. The company says they will do nothing about this issue. I will contact a solicitor for a full refund. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I bought new sofas and arm chair which arrived after 3 weeks with a cut in the 2 seater sofa and a damage at the back of the armchair. When contacted them to report that in the morning of the following day, they refused a return and insist for engineer visit to decide whether to repair or replace the items. Engineer told us the armchair needs to be sent back and replaced. When I contacted them after couple days, they refused to replace the chair and insist to send another engineer to confirm the first engineer report. Many rude and unpleasant calls from the same person every couple of days until the 14 days of return finished and now they are telling me either ti repair or keep it like that. Is it scamming? Is it robbing off people's money? I am shocked and disappointed. I will have to escalate this as far as I can until I have this sorted. My advise to anyone who is thinking of buying from Dfs is not to buy as their customer service is the worst ever and if you have an issue, they will not ever do the right thing but the cheapest option for them.
Do not touch this company with a barge pole. Ordered a sofa November 2021, the salesman placed the order for the wrong coloured sofa. This was not discovered until it was delivered, they argued that it was the correct sofa until it was pointed out that the labels weren't on the back of the samples we were shown and the salesman made a mistake. The correct sofa was delivered in July, almost 9 months later! In October we contacted DFS to inform them that one of the arms was loose and squeaking. DFS sent a service engineer to repair it, he took it apart and put it back together, we tried it but the problem was still there, he tried again but still no success. The service engineer seemed to think that as he had tried we should be happy with it, he had my husband sitting and standing so many times it was laughable. It didn't matter how many times we tried it, the problem was still there, we informed him that we weren't happy and wanted a replacement. He was asked to get a video of the problem, which he did. DFS customer services contacted us and we were informed that the service manager said that it was repaired to HIS satisfaction, it seems they don't care about their customers satisfaction. They will not replace but have offered to take it away and refund us, this is not acceptable as it matches the other sofa in our room. I have had Multi York sofas for 12 years without a problem, you could say you get what you pay for, but, this small 2 seater was over £900, I expect more for that price.
Told us our sofa was being made and all of that before all the checks were completed to then get back to us about our finance being unsuccessful. Got our hopes up for no reason.
I ordered a sofa in april. The sofa came ripped and with damaged recliner sistem from day one. We complaint straight away and after few weeks someone came to have a look. The manager in Oldham promise he will fix the problems and compensate us with 250£ for bringing us a damaged sofa. After this someone came with a wrong sistem and tried to improvise some kind of fixing but failed. The manager don't answer to our emails and you can't get him on the phone in any way. We had to go back to shop and discuss with him.He promised He will make sure the problem will be sorted properly and we will get compensated after. After few appointments cancelled by them, finally someone came before Christmas but without the sistem,and say is not his problem as he doesn't work for DFS and he was not told he needs to bring the part. Manager still refuse to respond email and at the moment we are told that we need to wait for them to call us if they will have anyone to come in weekend. This is after losing few days at work to be home for their appointments.
In 2020 we bought a sofa for £3900. At the beginning of 2022 the engine motor broke, to be exact on the 5th of January. It is end of October and nobody came to fix it, it has been more than 10 months since we have a broken sofa in the middle of the living room.
Northampton brach staff absolutely clueless on how to help the customers in this situation, absolutely disgusting how they managed us and how they treated us for the last months. Being bothered that we came to ask for updates, since they couldn't bother to call or email us. Monthly we been to the branch, feeling ignored and treated like losers. After 8 months they paid a good will fee of £150 for making us wait for 8 months still not fixing the issues and making us come to the brach in September and October chasing them for our right as a customer, seeing that we had guarantee which to be honest is useless. Only today thanks to Edmond and Stan i felt that someone tries to help me, after 10 months it is the first time I feel someone actually is trying to move the things for us.
Lady from Northampton brach who says is manager, spoke over us, been rude and unprofessional when we have been passed to her over and over again. Made us feel small and made us regret we chose DFS.
We definitely learned our lesson and will never again buy from DFS. I prefer to try my luck with the competition companies.
Ordered a bed from there in June got delivered this morning missing almost everything bolts,washers, brackets,legs rails and slats
Left with a very badly damaged sofa. One year later still not resolved despite many hours spent on the phone and waiting for their repair man. Awful experience, never again!
I purchased a sofa from the Maidstone store on the 28th September which was a display model because as they said would be a quick delivery. Wow. Never have I experienced such ineptitude across the whole company. Absolutely useless and lies upon lies. You ring the customer services and they are all so sorry for you and will get someone to ring you back …no they just want you off the line and no one will ring you back. I had to go to the Maidstone store today (4th November) to try and sort out where my sofa was and they still couldn't confirm a delivery date. Honestly how they could lose a sofa within their network is a joke as are all their staff and no one can commit to a delivery date …remember this is a sofa from their store so who knows what they are like when you are waiting for one to be made.
"It's out of my control" was the answer I received ….well get someone in control as honestly you lot are a disgrace and I'd be embarrassed to have anyone I dealt with as one of my employees. Poor. Poor. Poor.

I have just contacted them after they failed to contact me as confirmed, and have asked for my money back, guess what, they can't do that without an email to god and his son.

HEDGE END STORE TRIED TO HAVE ME ARRESTED TODAY 26/4/22 ….Please read on. WE HAVE ALL SUFFERED. In recent years / pandemic/ losing love ones and jobs so PLEASE DO NOT BUY OR ORDER from this company. They have just tried to have me arrested under public order breech of the peace. I stood away from the main entrance and politely warned potential customers to steer clear and not shop with this company. I spent a lot of money with this store. I ordered a 2 seater sofa / 3 starter sofa / footstool all in the same colour. It was delivered this morning to which I returned. Different colours.
We all have to look after our pennies so u just wanted to warn people against buying from this company.
I have no furniture to sit on and this has ruined my Xmas as nothing for guest to sit.
I don't know what I am going to do as I needed a refund today so I could buy somewhere else and hope it would be here for Xmas. No money no furniture and then they tried to get me arrested for helping others to save them stress and their money.

Awful Service. I have been waiting for a USB socket change on my Sofa from DFS since November 2020. Since this date I have spent a huge amount of time with their customer service team who have advised me there notes on my account are illegible! They are never able to escalate, you can't speak to a manager, and all they seem to be able to do is get a call back in place……
What exactly is the point of a customer service team that can't provide customer service?
After losing several holiday days from work and the engineers turning up with wrong or more recently on the 23rd September 2021 no part! That's right we booked a day off work again to meet an engineer with no part! I complained again to the customer service team who advised the manager from the Measham store would be in touch as this is a service issue they can do nothing. I received no call back and subsequently called them again the next day on the Friday (24th) which again lead to know call back (even though on both occasions I was told it would be same day).
I have even emailed the store directly with the issues advising if a part that is easily fixable cannot be completed I would have to take things further starting with negative reviews. Unfortunately I have received no reply.
We love our sofa, however DFS back end processes and customer service skills is the WORST I have ever experienced and something I would not expect from such a flag ship name. For this reason I will never recommend DFS to family or friends.
Don't take this risk with these jokers.

DFS can't make a simple chair then replace it twice and still can't get it right, infact the replacement chairs have been worse than the first one, nothing like what was advertised on the shop floor! And they are now refusing to help and say I have to go legal... the store manager at Northampton branch, Tina? Is rude. They have taken my money and now not prepared to help me. They falsely advertise their furniture, what you see on the shopfloor and pay for is not what you receive and then when they replace it, it is no better, they then refuse to refund you and advise you to go legal! Lee Childs the Branch manager was not atall helpful and would not provide me with his managers details to escalate this matter, he said he is not prepared to do that and not prepared to refund the chair as they have already replaced it twice! Like that was my fault? Really? Yes and the replacement chairs have been disgraceful they can't even make furniture! I have been told I'm left with a chair that cost me 400 pounds that won't last another year, the advice that they have given me is. Go legal Mrs Curry? AVOID AVOID AVOID a year of stress and upset DFS have caused me. SCS are much better hands down no problem there! And. Don't reply with call customer service, as that's not the answer as Lee Childs the Branch Manager is not even prepared to help!

The 2nd picture below DFS made the base fine. This is how it should look, the first picture is how mine looks! The base has totally collapsed after 2 months. They said nothing they can do and claim this is perfectly made... they are thieves!
Bought a sofa from DFS (Brentford London Branch). Order was delivered in October 2020. By the beginning of November 2020 sofa leather developed fault. Brentford branch was contacted in early November and they arranged someone to come and have a look. By end of November a person from local branch came and inspected the fault and told that some of the leather is faulty however as it is covered under warranty they will fix it or replace it if needs to be. Within few days the gentleman came back and tried some quick fixes. Unfortunately the fix did not work and the fault was developed again. In early January 2021 I contacted DFS again. Since then its almost 6 months and DFS has proved how careless and unprofessional they are. I have exchanged several emails since, evertime either they ask for order number which I have included in the subject of my email for ease but they are so useless they cant find it or they ask for pictures which are sent several times or they will ask to send the whole email again. I have done everything they said so far but they dont even have the courtesy to confirm if they have received it and what would be the next step. I have to make an effort everytime to ring them and in response they ask to resend the email. I think Brentford branch in specific is rubbish. I will never recommend DFS to anyone. The sofa costs me £5000 and yet I am using it as faulty. I did not pay £5000 to use a faulty product for a year and GOD knows how long more they will take. Avoid them as there are a lot of other good sellers available. I rang them for 4 days in a row and every time they arranged a call back but surprisingly no one called back. I am still trying to arrange a visit for a product that is under warranty and they even sold me a third party extended warranty as well however due to their rubbish customer service none of the warranties are useful.
Had a suite delivered with a lot of bad seems and large scratches, no under law ie sales of goods act 2015 damaged furniture on delivery are legally to be refunded,, repaired if customer agrees,, we asked for collection and refund about 30 phone calls, regular put on hold after 20 mins waiting for an answer then cut off, 20 plus emails, we have now put in a cash claim back with our bank card provider, and are taking legal court action through trading standards who tell me they regular have these cases from dfs uk and ireland,,, THERE IGNORANT LIARS AND COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS WHO PAY CASH FOR THERE DREADFUL PRODUCTS. I am disables and on borrowed time and they just do not give a dam,, from may 2021 to november 2021 and still fighting them, I WILL SHOW EMAILS AND PHOTOS OF DAMAGE TO OUR FRONT DOOR FRAME AND NEW DOOD FLOOR JUST COUPLE WEEKS BEFORE DELIVERY, THERE SO CALLED EASY GLIDE CAME FF AND DESTROYRF THE NEW FLOOR 500 EURO TO REPAIR, FRONT DOOR FRAME 1000 EURO,,, 3000 for the suite,,,, kin hell wehave been conned by this dreadful company,,,,, so you have been warnes and were very much not alone with these cow boys
