Don't buy stuff from designbyhumans! I've waited 2 1/2 months for 4 Shirts, 2 of them with the lowest quality possible, after a few texts they've sent me a new one with the same $#*!ty quality and won't answer my mails since then. They have really nice designs but unfortunately it isn't worth it.
Commande reçue 6 semaines plus tard, avec erreur dans la commande, frais de 75$ de douanes et taxes en extra ( à payer à la réception du paquet)... bref, ça commence a faire dispendieux pour de simples t-shirts!
The t-shirts are incredibly thin, ran small based on their sizing information, and short, so that when they get washed they will probably shrink to a children's size and look like a bib. No response to e-mail support from them. It's been days. No telephone number anywhere on their website to call for customer service should tell you everything you need too know about them.
I've ordered quite a few shirts from DBH in the past for myself and my son. Recently, I ordered a shirt for my wife and it didn't fit. I looked up their exchange policy and contacted them using their online customer service form within the time provided for exchanges and followed all instructions for exchanges. There was an automated ZenDesk response with a request number and then nothing.
After a two weeks I tried responding to the ZenDesk e-mail to check on the status. No response.
It has been almost a month and still no response from customer service. I don't expect all companies to have the service and response times of Amazon, but this is ridiculous.
I can no longer trust ordering from DBH.
Just like the other reviews that I wish I had read before placing my order, they basically don't have customer service. I placed an order a few weeks ago and want to return two of the t-shirts. As of today, I have sent 4 emails and NO ONE has responded. They advertise that returns are allowed but require that you send them an email only for them to not respond. If I don't hear back from them in the next few days, I'm going to contact consumer affairs.
When I was buying their products they were great as in posting and arrival good quality stuff, BUT i had to send back for resizing and haven't Hurd from them since so now they have my money and my cloths and I can't get hold of them! I've sent number of emails and no response and there is no contact number so be aware when buying from this sight I'm now $250 down
Horrible customer service, long order process and difficult to get an exchange. I have made 2 separate orders and each one had issues.
Let me start by saying that I've ordered from here for years with no issue. This last order I received shirts where all of the art was printed extremely small and not representative of the pictures on the site. After reading the reviews here, I felt like I was screwed and it wouldn't be rectified. I emailed them, 3 days later they responded, and a couple weeks later they'd replaced the shirts with the art printed as it should have been.
Because of all the negativity here, I felt obligated to share my story that started with a mistake but ended with good customer service. I really like this site and the service they offer so I was glad to see them follow through.
I will admit though, that with the different colors you will get different brands of shirts at times. They don't all fit the same and that can be frustrating. They could benefit from sourcing all of their shirt colors from a single manufacturer for consistency.
I've uploaded photos of the original and new shirt for the skeptical people. I'm generally skeptical so I understand the mindset.
This will be a 2 stage review because I haven't received the t-shirts yet... This review is the order/customer service process ONLY.
I placed an order for 3 t-shirts for my son then realized I could also order for my daughters when the 10% brought the total down below the $75 costing me more in shipping so I wrote customer service right away and said "Message: I ordered to quickly and wanted to cancel it so I could add a couple of more t-shirts so I could take advantage of the 10% discount and free shipping. I do not want to add more shirts and not get both. It was bad enough that I ordered $75 dollars worth... used the coupon and then lost the free shipping on orders of $75." Customer service replied with "Thank you for contacting Design By Humans! - This is an automated response. - Your request (#######) has been marked closed. This has happened due to one of the following reasons:
- Your issue has been solved.
- We do not require a response from you.
- The ticket has been inactive for a period of time.

SO I GUESS THEY DIDN'T NEED MY BUSINESS! I have never worked with such a company (well that isn't entirely true) but now-a-days with all the competition... You would think that the owner of DesignByHumans was actually a machine to let his employees (Tristan to be exact) cost him $$$$$ To note... I had also added 2 shirts for each of my 3 kids and one for me. $25 to $28 each (pricey I might add but to support the arts (which is probably a lie after reading other reviews) I thought okay. But never again. Lots of other companies (maybe even ran by robots that offer Great Customer Service) at lower prices are out there. I ordered a t-shirt to see if the product is as good as they advertise or bad as the reviews. I will report back. BY THE WAY... you CANNOT combine the WELCOME TO DBH and also get FREE Shipping when SPENDING OVER $75. I guess they really do not appreciate new customers. Bummer.--- By the way, I gave them 3-Stars (2 more than necessary) because they have a nice concept and might make it once they get their ball game in order.
I ordered a mousemat from lirik, turned up with wrong postage took 7 weeks to turn up and had to pay customs charges coz they couldnt be bothered to work out the postage, customer service was like well in the small print its says we dont work out customs charges i had to pay an extra $20.
've had the most frustrating time dealing with this company. I assumed because their shirts cost a bit more than other t-shirt companies that they were higher quality. I was wrong. The cotton shirts feel cheap and they are not pre-shrunk. Expect them to shrink 1-2 sizes on washing. The cotton is not soft as advertised. It feels cheap and rough. Sizing is highly inconsistent. I bought shirts for my son's birthday and they were both size large and one was 2 inches longer than the other. I exchanged them. This time I bought heather shirts. Same problem. I bought two large shirts and one was two inches longer than the other one. The shirts also had a terrible chemical smell. My son thought they stank so bad that he wouldn't wear them until we washed them. Many of the designs are not exclusive and are featured on other sites for cheaper prices with more color options. I also had a major issue with a return. I would have been more than happy to send the shirt back and I was pleasantly surprised to be told that I didn't have to. However, after being told I would receive a refund I waited the 3-10 days and the refund didn't come. I made contact again and was told I would get it this time. Waited. Still no refund. Made contact a third time. I'm starting to get worried because my card is going to be canceled in three days and I'm going to be issued a new card. Funds on the old card won't transfer. The refund doesn't come in time. But DBH insists that I have received it, even though I didn't. They won't issue the refund to another payment method. They won't issue an exchange. I am stuck with a cheap, ugly shirt that doesn't fit right. And I am so sick of dealing with their customer service. I just wanted to buy some shirts that looked great and were high quality. I didn't want all this hassle. I hate having to contact customer service. I hate having to be confrontational. It gives me anxiety. I'm shy and I don't like having to make a fuss. To make things even worse, I suffer from terrible chronic migraines and stress is a major migraine trigger for me. All of the back and forth with the company where they refuse to believe that I haven't received my refund has left me in miserable, debilitating pain today. I am really upset about this situation. I will never order anything from DBH again and strongly recommend you don't buy from them.
Update: After first seeming to improve (after which I was planning to upgrade my review here slightly) the situation became even worse. An agent finally agreed to give me an exchange for the shirt. I waited over a week for a reply after I sent in the email for the shirt I had chosen. I even provided financial documents proving that I could not have received the refund they had sent and that there was no way for me to obtain it. Around ten days later when I finally heard back a different agent told me they wouldn't give me the exchange. Once again, I explained the situation and I'm waiting to see if they reply to me. It's ridiculous for one $25 shirt. If they would have just admitted their mistakes and solved the problem I wouldn't have had to leave this review and I might have returned as a customer. I have been polite and patient throughout the entire process.
On a side note, if you are a woman you will find they have far less selection for you in shirts, colors, and materials (not many heathered shirts for women.) It was bad enough when I wanted a Star Wars shirt for myself, but not surprising. But Frida Kahlo has more choices for men? C'mon. Just to add insult to injury...

Ordered a tank top 4.5 weeks ago (Easter gift) international shipping (2-4 weeks shipping thought I would have plenty of time to get it have not recieved this item contacted "customer support " ask for refund they will not do anything for another 7 days wth?!?!
Firstly, the t shirt quality is absolute $#*!, within 2 months it will probably be full of holes and falling apart, secondly the colour order was wrong, the website gives you a false idea of how the image will look, mine looks faded and not as crisp as the website led me to believe.
Lastly it took about 8 months to be delivered.
I believe the artworks look amazing and the artist really have talent. But the actual product is horrible.
Ordered a sweater on October 8th and were already in December and i still haven't gotten anything. No response when trying to find out where my stuff is. If you're buying something from the store expect it to be a russian roulette game- you'll never know if itll even come to you or not. R E T A R D E D
I've been wanting to order from them for a long time, but decided to finally go for it when they had a "buy one, get one 50% sale". I just got them in the mail today and so far I really like them. They seem true to size. I'm 5'5" and 160 lbs and typically wear a large in womens. I was dubious about sizing, so I ordered a man's L perfect fit tee and a woman's 2X scoop neck (I'd rather have something too baggy than too small). The men's L fits perfectly and the 2xl fits like a 2xl should - so I'm guessing a woman's L would have fit me just right. I haven't washed them, but if they don't hold up to my expectations (shrinkage, fading, etc), I will update this review. The only negative thing I have to say is that one of the designs appears less vibrant than on the site, but, as an amateur photographer, I can understand that. It still looks great.
I would NOT order from them again!
While they have AWESOME designs, their customer service and overall organization SUCKS. I placed an order a week before Christmas. I knew that my order would not arrive on time for Christmas, and I was alright with that. However, upon placing the order, I did not receive an order confirmation (or a shipping confirmation a couple days later), and after about a week of nothing, I began trying to contact their customer service. I first tried to contact them through the contact form on their website (MULTIPLE times!), and when I didn't get an answer, I tried emailing them directly, but received NO RESPONSE at all for any of the times I tried! At this point, it had been 2 weeks without any order or shipping confirmation. I wasn't sure if they robbed me or if their website was out of business or what!
It was a weekend that I decided to call, but they did not accept calls on the weekends, so I had to wait until Monday. That Monday (Week 3), before I had a chance to call them, I received my package with the 3 sweatshirts I ordered.
The sweater quality isn't all that (they're light), and I thought about sending them back because by this time, I ordered from another sweatshirt company that I KNEW I would get my items from. But I thought against it in fear that they would never refund me and continue to be unresponsive.
I would have been okay with the wait if I had gotten some type of communication from them, but since I didn't, I really thought I would have to submit a case with my credit card! DBH caused me a huge, unnecessary scare! I don't know if their cool designs are worth the risk, but that's up to you! Their clothing is quite expensive for their poor customer service and overall crappy business performance!
Good website to find great tshirts. I think its a collection of artist that have come together to make some awesome tshirts. Its a good place to find tees.
Answer: Maybe COVID-19 has impacted their business. Don't know if they are jerks as that would mean I've been able to have some contact with someone at the company. That is the issue, there is a complete lack of customer service. A request for an exchange requires first digging up the policy on their website and filling in an online form. But after an initial automated acknowledgment, there is no response. For over a month, even with multiple attempts to follow up, I have not received a single communication from this company.
Answer: Not sure at this point. Never sent my order as of 3 weeks.
Answer: If opening a store involves their customer service coming between you and your customers, I would say stay away. Their lack of customer service has led me to stop buying from DBH.
