This is my second purchase from Currys in 2 years and my second experience of a breakdown and the worst customer service. They just don't care!
Both products were still in warranty.
Please I urge you don't support a company who doesn't care about its consumers. Go to you independent local business who put you first.
Ordered a Samsung Galaxy tablet in time for a Christmas delivery. Paid for it online and waited... and waited... and waited. Tried to contact them but this proved almost impossible - with over 30 in telephone queues.
They failed to contact me - despite them having my email & phone contact details. Now, almost a MONTH later, I braved the long queue & finally spoke to an employee. He informed me that the model was out of stock & would have to be re-ordered. No wonder I cancelled on the spot. Dreadful customer service. Will never deal with them again.
Really bad customer service, you call to resolve an issue and you get told lay's, after you pay for you item good luck, there are to busy trying to sell you care package but not helping you, you request a delivery date which is available on there systems but in reality it doesn't matter it's up to them when you get your items.
My logic fridge freezer has just stopped working it's not even three years old, the engineer that came out to it said it was very unsafe. The gas was leaking from it and he moved it into my garden because it could have caused my family to have side effects from the fumes. He told me he had never seen anything like it in his career. I was really shocked at the poor quality of the fridge freezer.
Bought a Brother Laser printer from Chelmsford branch. It was a returned item from another shopper- but I was assured that the item had been thoroughly checked by staff before reselling. However someone put the wrong cartridge into the box. When I tried to get it sorted- the phone help-desk was hopeless. Need to travel 1hour back to the shop to get this sorted. All round a really poor experience.
I had trouble with my tablet, it wouldn't allow me to send photos on messenger. I called into P C World Corby Kara dealt me promptly and sorted the problem in no time at all. Thank you Kara ten out of ten
Ordered a 65 inch tv arrived 3 days late leaving me having to take 3 days off work waiting each day on a delivery that never came while i dont fault currys for this as this is due to the DPD drivers i was shocked to find the stand for the tv was split in two forcing me to have to hang it off a wall. Called customer care and they had no replacement stands tv works fine and love the Oled vision but could of been better
I bought the wrong product online and it was quick and easy to cancel and get a refund. Thank you

Bought headphones, to be delivered the following day. They never came. After trying to deal with customer service, writing several emails, going to the actual store a couple of times, and phoning them (all to no avail), I decided to email the CEO, Sebastian James.
You can find the email address on google (it is public).
On the same day, I received a phone call from the head office (exec team) with an apology and my immediate refund.
I am rating the second star only because of this call.
I bought a Belling range cooker from currys and was initially pleased but after only having it for just over a year during which it's been well looked after, one of the knobs suddenly split apart whilst the oven was in use. Contacted currys who put us through to Belling who said it's not our problem because a year is up, you'll have to pay for it. Ok I'll pay for it, I have no choice really, but I think a cooker costing upwards of £800 should last for longer than a year before bits start falling off it!
5 weeks to get a refund on a faulty item that I returned and I only got the refund in the end because I opened a claim with PayPal and submitted evidence. There was no help from Currys live web chat who told lies and fobbed me off. Customer service email bounces back and phone like has more options than you can imagine I ended up hanging up from confusion. Finally, 5 weeks and I got my £200 back for a TV I never received. Thank you PayPal and F*** you Currys!
Just bought - I think I did - a computer monitor from this excuse of a company. No confirmation email sent to me so far. Phoning results in a dead-end. The chat-box they refer you to appears to be non-existent. They could not try harder to ensure no repeat business.
Ordered Sony PS5 headphones for my son for Christmas and paid 116 euro. A stealth gaming station valued at about 40 euro arrived. Appalling customer service based in South Africa who can't help with anything. Offered exchange but can't tell me if it will be done by Christmas. Asked for refund. No refund until other item returned. Now I can't afford to buy headphones elsewhere. Absolutely appalling. They have effectively stole my money. Who can this be reported to? There must be some consumer rights that can help?
Absolutely terrible experience for returns from an online purchase.
The item turned out to be faulty. I spent two days going through options on the phone which would end up with me being disconnected as the automated system believes its answered your problem.
I was only phoning as the chat service wasn't working, every attempt took me back to the page before (including when accessed off a Currys text that purported to take you straight to the chat service).
All of this was because the return email said to make sure that the parcel had the address on.
When i finally got to speak to someone they said not to worry there was no address needed as the delivery driver would have one!
To think i used them instead of Amazon to save £5!
I ordered an item via company voucher scheme, but had to cancel it, which was granted.
They send me a voucher back and when I tried to reimburse this via my company voucher scheme, they REFUSED this.
The information from my employer was that it is completely up to them to decide how they will issue a refund.
I do not ship with curries at all, which means I lose more than £400 in this. They said, *if you wish you can give it to a family member or a friend"!
So I LOST money to the company that is unwilling to provide the refund, as they had been already paid a full amount!
Had a Logik L300CFW20 chest freezer a few months ago. Bought specifically as it was advertised as for outbuildings, great, I need it for my shed.
Recent heatwave made me wonder if there were any limitations, so decided to check, and lo and behold find in the manual that the operation ambient temperature of a outbuilding chest freezer sold in the UK is 10-43 degrees Celsius. In our shed, in the heatwave it was over that much, which would therefore mean the freezer is working harder, costing more energy!
When a freezer is outside, under 10 degrees it may cause a build-up of ice or reduce the viscosity of the oils used to lubricate moving parts. Any of these may result in compressor failure or malfunction resulting in a costly repair.
Contacted Currys via Twitter support, not interested at all, and basically told to get lost!
I guess they have my money, so don't care. Shame, spent a lot with them over the years, well, NO MORE!
After trying to buy a dishwasher through Curry's recently, I can see why Curry's are getting such bad reviews. Their pricing is OK but if you are looking for a reliable delivery, go elsewhere. Scheduled a delivery for 5 days after purchasing the machine, the first day shown that was available for delivery & installation but after paying for everything, received a text saying that the machine was out of stock and it could only be delivered within the next 14-28 days. This was unacceptable so then went about trying to cancel the order... this took close to 2hrs trying to navigate the site & when I finally found where to cancel was told it should take about 7 days for the refund to get back into my Cr Card... Will never buy from them again
Just dont buy from them... not worth the stress... try their automated telephone service... its a joke and so are the untrained call center staff... 4 hours to find one that knew what to do... then passed onto someone else that didnt... so back round again... for my sanity. Its not worth it.
Logik television, Currys own brand, completely broke down after barely 14 months.
The local store where I bought it were not interested in looking at it, and told me to email customer services in Harlow, who I was told would reply in 24 to 48 hours.
Nine days later and following reminders they still have not dealt with it. Appalling.
Order number CUR *******508
I've spent five hours this morning trying to return another piece of JVC rubbish to Curry's and guess what no one wants it.
Doesn't really surprise me though, they don't want the crap either.
Tech and contacts social centres are useless and unwilling to help anyone.
Answer: It's a legit company. But they will try anything to part you from your money (like selling you care plans) and not honouring the sales to a customer who like us bought at a favourable time. If you have complaints they will make it so difficult to complain that only the most tenacious will get through the process. More will give up on the way.
Answer: They have an automatic sorting process in place that takes several minutes to get through, you then get put on hold. Sometimes kicking you out before call is answered and you have to go through selection again. No direct numbers advertised to get you straight to right department, but they do exist. Ask for them once through to an adviser. It will save you lots of time when you need to chase them again. Music on 'hold' is distorted to annoy and frustrate you - close to mental torture! Advisors are following 'scripts' and are not 'able'/allowed to think for themselves. Be prepared to be put on hold and then kicked off the line. They told me they would order a replacement item 3x it never came. So were blatantly lying to me/stalling meanwhile processing refund. Once refunded they are 'unable' to help you with anything. Or is it unwilling? The whole process seems to be set up to deter you from continuing with your complaint. An issue that should have taken max 10 minutes to sort took 5-6hrs and it was sorted to their satisfaction not mine.
