Washing machine was installed by engineer incorrectly and leaked over the floor damaging flooring and kitchen units. Would they accept liability? Still battling to get any acknowledgement, meanwhile we're hugely out of pocket.
Placed an order for an e-scooter on 13 June 2025 (Order: CUR*******062) and paid extra for next-day delivery. The money was deducted immediately, and I received an order confirmation. But the order status stayed stuck at "In Progress." When I contacted Currys support, I was told the order "didn't go through" – despite having confirmation and a payment taken. I was advised to cancel it. So I did. Reluctantly, I placed another order the next day (Order: CUR*******531), this time through their ShopLive Sales Rep who guaranteed me the item was in stock and would be delivered the next day. Again, I paid extra for next-day delivery. Guess what? The order status again shows "In Progress." No dispatch. No delivery. Nothing. I call Support – again – and they tell me the order was confirmed, but there was no stock when I ordered (contradicting what their sales rep told me). Apparently now there is stock, so they'll maybe ship it. No emails. No communication. Just radio silence unless I call them myself. This entire experience has been beyond frustrating. Completely unreliable, misleading communication, and horrible customer service. I will never shop at Currys again – even if my life depended on it. My advice: Stay far, far away from Currys. You'll regret ever placing an order with them.
We have previously ordered and had delivered (the last time just four days ago) numerous items from Curry's. We have a Curry's account. Today we have been waiting-in for the delivery (that we paid for) from Curry's (of an item of £1,000+, the second this week) with no contact from anyone at Curry's apart from a driver five hours ago asking where our property was in East London. When I told him we were in Buckinghamshire he said Curry's had put the wrong postcode on the order – a postcode 40 miles away on the other side of London. How can this even be possible when we have a Curry's account and when Curry's delivered to us previously just four days ago? Anyway, the driver told me that he would call his manager and get back to me. When he did not, I called him back and asked what was happening. I was told that his manager would call me back. He did not. It is now five hours later, and I have just got off the phone with a Curry's helpline person (located several thousand miles away, reading off a script and sounding barely human) to again ask for some information about the delivery to be told that they could not talk to me about the order as I had not confirmed the delivery postcode. When I pointed out that this was because Curry's had somehow contrived to ignore the postcode I had given for the delivery - the postcode on our Curry's account, the postcode that they delivered to just four days ago - and attempted to deliver to an incorrect postcode that they had erroneously attached to the order I was told that I would need to cancel the order and re-order from scratch from the Curry's website. When I asked to speak to a manager about this botched delivery, this poor service, this ridiculous situation I was told that a manager would call me back in six days. Six days!? We are now sitting here completely in the dark about the delivery of the item we bought and paid for wondering if someone human will ever think to call us and tell us what is going on. Needless to say, this will be the last time this Curry's account holder and past purchaser of thousands of pounds worth of Curry's items will ever again buy from Curry's.
Ordered a keyboard and mouse for instore collection, I drove 20 mins to the store and the online team had sent the wrong mouse. The guy at customer service rang the online team and put me on the phone to them. They told me to take the items home and they will send DPD to pick them up the next day (yes, I was told to send both back even though only the mouse was incorrect), and then they'd send the correct order to the store for me to collect. They refused to send the correct order to my house, so another 40 minute round journey for me because of their screw-up. The items were collected 3 days ago and I've heard nothing, I've been on web chat twice and no one has any idea when I'll hear anything, just that I could 'expect to hear within 7-14 days'. This is atrocious customer service and I will never shop at Currys again. And I will persuade other family and friends to steer clear from now on. What a joke.
Paid 864 and got faulty or no products. Only issues. This was one month ago. Customer service appalling, they have no idea of what they do. Terrifying.
We will have to call the police to have our money back
Case mum *******
Issue remains unresolved. Having bought a TV online and being led to believe one was available in store this was not the case. Eventually the TV was delivered. On setting up the new TV it was broken (cracked screen). Contact customer services to be given a runaround. Web chat useless. I was told that the TV would be collected 2 days later however, a replacement would not be dispatched until the TV was received back to their warehouse. Potential turnaround of a further 5-7 days! In 2024 how can a technology retailer be proud of this post-purchase customer care? I'm out of money until the replacement TV arrives, whenever that will be. Lesson? Should have gone with Amazon! 0 out of 5!
Good prices but aftersales online is very slow & difficult to attain! The chatbot services are absolutely horrible & really not helpful. If Curry's online could improve customer service & have more clear & rapid aftersales then I would happily give 5 stars but I find I now pay just a little more sometimes and purchase from other retailers, as its a much better customer experience if things go wrong or I need to return an item.
Worst company ever which truly shouldn't be in business. From CEO level down they don't care about customers and don't honour what they promise to do. When a price match is successful, codes supplied don't work and then they block webchat from price matching again with the company that they had previously price matched with? When you complain to CEO level quote "one unhappy customer is one too many" so they make the Customer more unhappy, and they pledge that they are "determined to get things right" but then go onto totally ignore the complaint. Waste hours being passed around every department because no one accepts responsibility and passes the buck. I'm certain I've even spoken to the cleaners. Stay well clear
Bought a samsung fridge freezer that turned out to be faulty, contacted currys 5 days after delivery and they point blank refused to exchange saying there is nothing wrong with it even though it make such a horrendous noise (check video that i sent to currys which they tell me is a normal noise) that i have to turn it off when im at home, one customer service agent even told me that I should pay for an engineer to look at it! Absolute joke of a company i will never buy anything from them again!
I paid extra for next delivery. I've been in all day and was watching the driver on the tracking system. They did not park at my building and no attempt was made to deliver the package, very disappointing
Purchased Kitchenaid toaster from Curry's. Great toaster but it simply stopped working.
Returned to local Curry's where I was informed they would not replace same (even though it was well within warranty) policy being to return to manufacturer for repairs first.
Kitchen aid is manufactured in China so goodness knows how long this will take!
Poor service indeed and speaking to members of my family the same stance
Is frequently taken on many other brands also.
I reminded staff that I purchased item from Currys store and not from Kitchen Aid, to no avail.
Poor service and possibly breaking Consumer law too.
Replaced my gas hob & I called 4 times the same day asking to return the recycled hob as the new job parts were very low quality. I was told by all 4 Currrys customer service people that the recycled hob & parts will be returned on the same day but didn't & the next day when I called Currys, they said that it's not even collectible from re-cycling Centre & will not be returned. Next time will buy from John Lewis & will never buy from Currys as awful customer service by Currys.
Finally got my refund for an item that wasnt even delivered to me, have waited 9 weeks for this refund and currys have been no help at all, cant reply to emails, non existing address for head office. Will never shop there again, quick enough to take your money but cant admit to mistakes or say sorry
Currys after sales service absolutely disgusting
Currys after sales service absolutely disgusting. My tv broke down after 7 months, wouldn't replace it with same specification as price had gone up, only offered me my original purchase price plus 10%. Would Still have left me nearly £500 pound out of pocket or I could get a lesser quality tv. Fortunately Samsung is going to exchange for the same specifications tv. Don't be fooled by currys advertising, better off to pay a bit extra and buy from reputable dealers.
5 calls to Currys every call they say they will contact deliveries to return my old tv, each time they haven't done it. Lawyer time I think.
Ordered an item online received email confirmation and receipt of purchase.
I made a phone call to Currys asking what has happened to my purchase, answer, no availability out of stock and no idea when it would be in stock.
An absolute disgraceful retailer.
I'm considering contacting Trade Standards for misleading marketing and for click baiting potential customers.
I bought a logic 43 TV and when I opened it the screen looked like it had been kicked around a football pitch. My grandsons bedroom was being decorated at the time so the box wasn't opened until after the 30 day return. I trusted Currys to send what I ordered and when I got in touch was told not there problem. Absolutely disgusting customer values. Please please steer clear of them.
Placed an order for delivery to store. It was due the next day but now a week later has still not arrived. I cannot speak to anyone, no correspondence from currys at all and store refusing to refund... theft, please avoid! Do not trust the currys name
I had to give them one star but would have given them none if I could. I bought a video bell 9 months ago. It has developed a fault and Curry's are refusing to replace it. I have written, rung and spoken to various people but keep going round in circles. They say their policy is to refund, not replace but I pointed out the Sale of Goods Act remedy is repair/replace/refund. I paid £120 for the bell and today it is £179. If I took the £120 I would need to put another £59 toward the replacement. They are dreadful and I am just sorry I bought this bell or anything from them. It is the last time I will. If I had bought the bell from Amazon it would have been exchanged without any hassle.
If I could give 0 stars it would reflect the service from this company.
Online order on 6/12/2023
Told several times from 8th December onwards that is would be delivered the next day, this was on the webchat and telephone and in store. Attended store on 19th December after continually being fobbed off with lies. Advised in store that the customer services should have the knowledge to advise that the item was lost in transit. Had to then phone Customer Servcies (more lack of/not a clue in) to request refund as lost in transit. No refund as of 8th Jan. Rang Customer Services on 8th Jan, advised refund would be with me on that day, still no refund. Rang today, after 40 minutes on the phone going around in circles with these people they still haven't refunded me.
Buyer beware:
Never, never buy anything from Currys in store unless you are sure it is perfect for your needs.
I bought a television this morning and unpacked it, fixed the feet on it and because the feet are towards the outside of the screen it won't stand on my television cabinet.
I called Currys to ask if I could exchange it for one with a centre stand.
They said NO!
It's your problem.
But they would be happy to sell me an alternative if that would be helpful.
Despite being a long time customer, I will never buy from Currys again.
Answer: They are thieves and take your money and time. Vampires
Answer: They have an automatic sorting process in place that takes several minutes to get through, you then get put on hold. Sometimes kicking you out before call is answered and you have to go through selection again. No direct numbers advertised to get you straight to right department, but they do exist. Ask for them once through to an adviser. It will save you lots of time when you need to chase them again. Music on 'hold' is distorted to annoy and frustrate you - close to mental torture! Advisors are following 'scripts' and are not 'able'/allowed to think for themselves. Be prepared to be put on hold and then kicked off the line. They told me they would order a replacement item 3x it never came. So were blatantly lying to me/stalling meanwhile processing refund. Once refunded they are 'unable' to help you with anything. Or is it unwilling? The whole process seems to be set up to deter you from continuing with your complaint. An issue that should have taken max 10 minutes to sort took 5-6hrs and it was sorted to their satisfaction not mine.
