Leaky installation
June 24, 2025

Washing machine was installed by engineer incorrectly and leaked over the floor damaging flooring and kitchen units. Would they accept liability? Still battling to get any acknowledgement, meanwhile we're hugely out of pocket.

Placed an order for an e-scooter on 13 June 2025 (Order: CUR*******062) and paid extra for next-day delivery. The money was deducted immediately, and I received an order confirmation. But the order status stayed stuck at "In Progress." When I contacted Currys support, I was told the order "didn't go through" – despite having confirmation and a payment taken. I was advised to cancel it. So I did. Reluctantly, I placed another order the next day (Order: CUR*******531), this time through their ShopLive Sales Rep who guaranteed me the item was in stock and would be delivered the next day. Again, I paid extra for next-day delivery. Guess what? The order status again shows "In Progress." No dispatch. No delivery. Nothing. I call Support – again – and they tell me the order was confirmed, but there was no stock when I ordered (contradicting what their sales rep told me). Apparently now there is stock, so they'll maybe ship it. No emails. No communication. Just radio silence unless I call them myself. This entire experience has been beyond frustrating. Completely unreliable, misleading communication, and horrible customer service. I will never shop at Currys again – even if my life depended on it. My advice: Stay far, far away from Currys. You'll regret ever placing an order with them.

We have previously ordered and had delivered (the last time just four days ago) numerous items from Curry's. We have a Curry's account. Today we have been waiting-in for the delivery (that we paid for) from Curry's (of an item of £1,000+, the second this week) with no contact from anyone at Curry's apart from a driver five hours ago asking where our property was in East London. When I told him we were in Buckinghamshire he said Curry's had put the wrong postcode on the order – a postcode 40 miles away on the other side of London. How can this even be possible when we have a Curry's account and when Curry's delivered to us previously just four days ago? Anyway, the driver told me that he would call his manager and get back to me. When he did not, I called him back and asked what was happening. I was told that his manager would call me back. He did not. It is now five hours later, and I have just got off the phone with a Curry's helpline person (located several thousand miles away, reading off a script and sounding barely human) to again ask for some information about the delivery to be told that they could not talk to me about the order as I had not confirmed the delivery postcode. When I pointed out that this was because Curry's had somehow contrived to ignore the postcode I had given for the delivery - the postcode on our Curry's account, the postcode that they delivered to just four days ago - and attempted to deliver to an incorrect postcode that they had erroneously attached to the order I was told that I would need to cancel the order and re-order from scratch from the Curry's website. When I asked to speak to a manager about this botched delivery, this poor service, this ridiculous situation I was told that a manager would call me back in six days. Six days!? We are now sitting here completely in the dark about the delivery of the item we bought and paid for wondering if someone human will ever think to call us and tell us what is going on. Needless to say, this will be the last time this Curry's account holder and past purchaser of thousands of pounds worth of Curry's items will ever again buy from Curry's.

Dreadful customer service
December 11, 2024

Ordered a keyboard and mouse for instore collection, I drove 20 mins to the store and the online team had sent the wrong mouse. The guy at customer service rang the online team and put me on the phone to them. They told me to take the items home and they will send DPD to pick them up the next day (yes, I was told to send both back even though only the mouse was incorrect), and then they'd send the correct order to the store for me to collect. They refused to send the correct order to my house, so another 40 minute round journey for me because of their screw-up. The items were collected 3 days ago and I've heard nothing, I've been on web chat twice and no one has any idea when I'll hear anything, just that I could 'expect to hear within 7-14 days'. This is atrocious customer service and I will never shop at Currys again. And I will persuade other family and friends to steer clear from now on. What a joke.

Never again...
July 27, 2024

I ordered a dishwasher and paid extra to have it installed. Product was incorrectly installed, meaning I had to get my son to reinstall it. When I rang to get my money back on the cost of the install, as my son had to dissassemble my kitchen to get to the pipes and install it properly, I was told in no uncertain terms that I wouldnt be getting a refund, and wouldn't be able to talk to a manager as they don't take calls from customers. All in all, i'm taking the matter further to get my money back and will never use this substandard company again. Avoid at all costs...

Never buy again!
May 13, 2024

Replaced my gas hob & I called 4 times the same day asking to return the recycled hob as the new job parts were very low quality. I was told by all 4 Currrys customer service people that the recycled hob & parts will be returned on the same day but didn't & the next day when I called Currys, they said that it's not even collectible from re-cycling Centre & will not be returned. Next time will buy from John Lewis & will never buy from Currys as awful customer service by Currys.

Reported faulty item Dec 26th. First date for repair was canceled, then wouldn't rearrange for after 2pm so I didn't lost a full date pay. Rearrange for Feb, the guy came with the handle but no screw! The main part I repeatedly told both currys and bexo. So almost 2 months after reporting fault STILL not fixed. Then the problem would arise of having to lose a day's pay for incompetence over a screw!. Finally decided to just swap for a new oven as weirdly somehow easier than replacing a screw. Was told on the phone that all I had to do was call the store and give them the authorization code to arrange for a new oven to be delivered. Was told it was simple. Just phone ect. Obviously this was also untrue as after hours on the phone calling different numbers that we given I finally go through to be told this couldn't be done on the phone and I had to go to the store. Brilliant I live nowhere near the store it was purchased in. Phoned back again to be told I could speak to the store manager and explain. Again not as simple as that as Noone answers the phone. So after wasting hours and hours and constant stress I had to waste another hour and a half round trip to go the the store, and wasting fuel. I was told I had to so to the store it was bought it. So after hours in the phone, I drive to the store. Only there to be told I could have gone to my local currys and didn't need to go to the store. To be honest I'm disgusted, as a neurodivergent, this has caused significant stress, and has cost me my time and money to sort out an issue that was actually simple.

Where do I even begin?
I had an awful experience in Watford's shop.

The manager UCHIT was super rude and disrespectful.
Here goes the story: went there to buy something as a gift for someone, and a stuff helped me to get what I wanted and went back to the till to pay. I paid in cash, and while I was waiting for my products to come, the manager came and asked me, "Why do you buy these two products", and I said as gifts, for someone. So he asked me if I am willing to return them, and I said, well not sure, If they don't like it, of course I will.
Then he added that couple of months ago I came and bought an expensive item, and I returned it the next day ( this is true), so I said that is correct, so I asked him if it was a problem, he said no, but we know you are going to return it again, and I need to know why and see if everything is legit. I was confused. What does that even mean?
If the box is open, they won't refund it to you, but they DO open the product there once you go for a refund.
The manager said that NOBODY BUYS THAT EXPENSIVE GIFTS FOR SOMEONE, AND RETURNS IT THE NEXT DAY.
IF the company has a return policy for 30 days, THEY SHOULD NOT ASK YOU anything about the reason you want to return it, as long it hasn't been opened.

Issue remains unresolved
January 12, 2024

Issue remains unresolved. Having bought a TV online and being led to believe one was available in store this was not the case. Eventually the TV was delivered. On setting up the new TV it was broken (cracked screen). Contact customer services to be given a runaround. Web chat useless. I was told that the TV would be collected 2 days later however, a replacement would not be dispatched until the TV was received back to their warehouse. Potential turnaround of a further 5-7 days! In 2024 how can a technology retailer be proud of this post-purchase customer care? I'm out of money until the replacement TV arrives, whenever that will be. Lesson? Should have gone with Amazon! 0 out of 5!

If I could give 0 stars it would reflect the service from this company.
Online order on 6/12/2023
Told several times from 8th December onwards that is would be delivered the next day, this was on the webchat and telephone and in store. Attended store on 19th December after continually being fobbed off with lies. Advised in store that the customer services should have the knowledge to advise that the item was lost in transit. Had to then phone Customer Servcies (more lack of/not a clue in) to request refund as lost in transit. No refund as of 8th Jan. Rang Customer Services on 8th Jan, advised refund would be with me on that day, still no refund. Rang today, after 40 minutes on the phone going around in circles with these people they still haven't refunded me.

Absolutely a shambolic mess of a company! I ordered a couple of products online { a tv and ps5 deal} on the 27th of December, the address that was on my account was my old address as I have recently moved but as soon as I realised it was incorrect { about half an hour later} I called back to change the address but I was told I would have to cancel the order and reorder when I get the money back, I agreed, however, I was told I had to call back at a later time that day, called back and cancelled the order, all good I thought but I never got a conformation email so the day after, I called back only to be told that part of the order was cancelled so I then asked again I need the whole order cancelled, all good I thought only to get an email from dpd saying they have received my order from currys and it's been ongoing since then. I was told I would get a full refund then a partial refund and the rest would get given back to me when they receive the item back that THEY sent out even though I have told them since day 1 I was cancelling the whole order. The refund was rejected TWICE because again they messed up and tried to refund me on the wrong account! I was assured it was sorted and I will get my partial refund today, still no refund! This has been ongoing for 3 weeks tomorrow! I have put 2 complaints in and the complaints department haven't even got in contact, they keep sending me emails to say they are looking into my case! This is causing me a great deal of stress to the point of crying. I am at limbo here, nothing is getting done, I'm banging my head against a brick wall. The handlers won't even pass me onto the correct department or give me any contact details for the relevant team.

Poor Aftersales!
January 9, 2024

Good prices but aftersales online is very slow & difficult to attain! The chatbot services are absolutely horrible & really not helpful. If Curry's online could improve customer service & have more clear & rapid aftersales then I would happily give 5 stars but I find I now pay just a little more sometimes and purchase from other retailers, as its a much better customer experience if things go wrong or I need to return an item.

Ordered a mobile phone and on the 25th November I received am open parcel with an empty box. I immediately contacted Curry's who said they would investigate it and be in touch by the 14th December... well 14th December came and I hadn't heard anything so I got back in touch when I was told it had been escalated and to allow 24-48 hours but once again this time went and I still had not heard anything! I contacted Curry's again and again told it had been escalated now to the refund team, please allow 24-48 hours but again nothing so again I contacted them and was told they were going to manually order the refund and allow 3-5 days which again I did and nothing. Not once has Curry's contacted me regarding this issue and now every time I get through to anyone they hang up or leave the chat. I still have no phone or refund from them and they are impossible to deal with. NEVER order from Curry's, they don't care about their customers and I now believe them to be theives. I have caught them in at least 6 lies now and when confronted about these lies guess what... the agent dissappears.

Worst company ever which truly shouldn't be in business. From CEO level down they don't care about customers and don't honour what they promise to do. When a price match is successful, codes supplied don't work and then they block webchat from price matching again with the company that they had previously price matched with? When you complain to CEO level quote "one unhappy customer is one too many" so they make the Customer more unhappy, and they pledge that they are "determined to get things right" but then go onto totally ignore the complaint. Waste hours being passed around every department because no one accepts responsibility and passes the buck. I'm certain I've even spoken to the cleaners. Stay well clear

Avoid at all cost
December 9, 2023

No accountability.
Bought a washing machine on the 20th November.
Paid for delivery and installation.
The delivery guys have broken the water valve (had to get a plumber in to repair this -108£)
Then once plumber came in and fixed it I put the washing machine on. It was leaking. I then discovered that the draining hose was cut (most likely by delivery guy who must have used a Stanley knife to unpack the washing machine).

Called the customer service (good luck to get hold of them first)
They said an engineer would come in and this was for the 4th of December. But because I'm working I moved it to the 9th.
3.00pm on the 9th still haven't heard of the engineer. Call again customer service only to be told "this has been cancelled. They tried to call you but you didn't pick up." No one tried to call me. Customer service full of BS!
Been stuck at home waiting for them to come and repair for nothing...
They have my email + phone number. No contact have been made.

They are only good to say "I'm sorry I apologise for the inconvenience this is causing"

I spend 400£ on a washing machine I cannot use and 108£ on a plumber which they should repay for but I'm still to hear about this of course.

Avoid Currys at all cost.

I bought a Samsung tv in late June 23 to replace a faulty tv on warranty, with an email voucher I had received as you could not repair my Samsung tv. I then purchased another Samsung tv and ordered online using the credit vouchers I received. I was away regularly abroad so didn't have much time to view the television. On my return I started to notice issues with the tv with the picture turning black intermittently, sound issues whereby the tv sound was not very good sounded echoing, lip sync issues with Sky glass box and large crackling noise when switching channels.

I contacted Samsung mid October regarding all the above faults and issues, I sent many emails and correspondence proving these issues. The tv was picked up and repaired a week later although I was not happy with the state I received the tv back. Several marks all over the screens, a new main board and then also foam and tape to help with sound issues. You can imagine that I was not happy with the repairs. I had bought a brand new tv less than 4 months old and now I had a tv with replacement parts and quick fixes.

On 18/11/23 called Curry's customer service based in South Africa, after several hours speaking to various people and getting cut off several times and no customer service help at all. People were just reading from screen scripts and not listening to my issues. Eventually though I spoke to a lovely person in technical that advised they would pick up the faulty tv and issue a refund.

The tv was picked up on 21/11/23, was promised a refund but because my original tv from May was replaced with vouchers then I had to receive vouchers again. I requested email vouchers as per the previous tv replacement. I was advised that an email gift card would be issued.

I telephoned 3 times to make sure I would receive the vouchers by email and was assured the was the case and to wait 3-5 working days. It is now 4 Decemeber and I still have not received anything and still have no tv. I have also tried to log 3 complaints about my treatment and nothing no feedback or anything.

I am now at the stage where I am £1400 out of pocket, with no tv and no resolution. I have lost faith in Curry's and will never buy from them again hence why I am now taking it further to Trading Standards and maybe the police as I have been robbed.
