I buy all my audio equipment from Crutchfield - usually after getting excellent advice from their representatives. Any problems (though they are rare) are handled immediately. You might hunt around and save a few dollars now and then but you won't find a company that stands behind their word like Crutchfield.
My first Crutchfield purchase was an AM/FM radio for my then new 1981 Honda. Both Bill Crutchfield and I had a lot more hair back then. Crutchfield has provided me 3 LCD/LED TVs, various DVD players, and assorted electronics over the years. I have never been disappointed with the products or delivery. Could I have occasionally saved a few dollars elsewhere - maybe. But is not worth the loss or Crutchfield benefits or incuring extra risk. Buy here with confidence.

This time, I knew what I needed, just needed to get it. New tunes for my 1992 Ford F-150 restoration project. The website is very intuitive and I had no question about the products I had chosen would fit my application. If any installation kits, harnesses etc. were required, they were automatically added to my order. Instructions were clear and accurate making the installation go very smoothly. I highly recommend Crutchfield for all of your car audio needs.
Ordered the last Sony XBR-75X900E TV that day. Signed up for the 24 month no interest deal from Sony. Needed to talk with a customer service Rep (Allison) to help me sort out the 0% interest deal. She was very nice and was able to answer all my questions and get it done for me. My 75 inch TV was ordered on Friday night and delivered on Wednesday 1200 miles from my home. I was concerned about buying something so big and heavy. I usually order receivers or speakers. When I got the TV there was a hole in the box so I was stressed that something happened during shipping but everything turned out great. I have always had a positive experience using Crutchfield. My brother is an audio expert and he always orders from this company with very happy results. This is one of the top 3 companies I would trust to buy a TV from. The other 2 are brick and mortar stores with a huge online presence. I have never returned anything but my brother has many times in the 20 years he has been ordering from them. The process has never been a problem with zero issues.

I went on the website and was able to find the accessories for my car very quickly. I appreciated how they were able to show me specific items that would fit my vehicle. Most stores' websites don't do that.
I also found the products that I needed at a price that was better than anywhere else. There was one exception as I ordered multiple items but that item while it cost more was very difficult to find in other retailers like Amazon or even Ebay. The free shipping helped make up the difference in price.
Shipping was pretty fast. I ordered my items on a Thursday evening and received them the next Tuesday.So it took 5 days to receive my order and Monday was Memorial Day so all in all I think the shipping was fairly quick. I also received email notifications from Crutchfield and subsequently UPS about the progress and expected delivery dates of my orders.
I have seen other people's reviews and some people are unhappy. I think for some it may be a matter of what you ordered and then when you had to interact with a service rep, they didn't respond to your needs like you wanted. I am very critical when it comes to customer service as I am not opposed to taking my money elsewhere. Such as it is, this order went smoothly and right now I can honestly say I would shop through this vendor again if I had a need they could meet.

Using the website, making an informed purchase, very timely delivery, all get two thumbs up. I paid to have the harness assembled which was the best decision and best use of money ever! That alone saved hours of tedium. Unfortunately the screws supplied with the product were too short and required an unplanned trip to the hardware store with the radio unit in hand and resulted in the loss of an hour of daylight. Installing a car radio these days is not for the impatient or the faint of heart, but overall it worked out albeit some frustrations along the way.

Have been a long time customer over many years. What makes Crutchfield the obvious choice is the depth of support and documentation. I made an inexpensive purchase. Wanted to put a Bluetooth and handsfree setup in an 18 year old Honda. Bought an inexpensive JVC head unit. What was impressive and made it a great value was the additional material Crutchfield provided. Wiring diagram, radio removal instructions, connector and DIN mount at no extra cost.
With the materials and instructions Crutchfield provided I had the new JVC in and working in less than 3 hours after the box was dropped on my porch!
This unskilled old girl needed a new radio for her antique convertible, so off to Crutchfield she went. And may I say that from the time I ordered my new radio I was nervous about the process... lol... I worried for no good reason! You have taken the steps to show even the uneducated how to do everything necessary to install that fabulous music machine and I cannot tell you how impressed I was as the speed and efficiency it was delivered! I ordered it at approximately 4:45 p.m. and the next day, it was delivered to my home complete with step-by-step installation instructions that even had pictures for the "unskilled challenged" music lovers to understand. What a pleasure it is to have a company that takes sooooo much care to ensure the successful installation of their products! Thank you for everything you have done - at such a great price and supplying such quality products and all the little tips and helpful information. I've used Crutchfield multiple times in the now distant past. My newer cars really didn't need attention. Retirement found me in possession of a 2010 Town & Country van. I've grown accustomed to Bluetooth and hands-free and knew immediately changes needed to be made and I already knew where to go. It's possible that I could have found these part for less elsewhere, but I'm certain I couldn't find products that fit properly without many hours of Internet searches. I knew from experience I couldn't find the built-in support too.
So now our "new" 2010 Chrysler van has all the missing parts. The dash sports a new Sony touch screen. The tailgate has a camera so my wife feels comfortable in reverse. OEM speakers have been replaced with Harman Kardon units that make the originals sound like absolute junk.
Was it easy? No way. Issues every step along the way, but with some input over a brief phone call, a better method came to light. Removing large sections of your car interior may seem daunting, but if you're careful and follow the provided instructions you can perform a task just short of magic! Plus, you'll save hundreds doing the work yourself.
Crutchfield sends you wiring harnesses and any necessary adapters for free. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better Electronics source.
