I haven't installed a stereo since I was a teenager and that 40 years ago! I remember installing quite a few back then and always stumbling to figure out how to remove door panels, route wires, connect things, adapt the new stereo into the car, etc... My son needed a new one this time and Crutchfield's site showed me what would fit and even threw in the mounting adapter and cable harness and even instructions along with free shipping! Instructions and harness and kit were perfect! Super easy and in fact I had my son do all the wiring(not difficult at all - but don't forget to buy your own wire nuts!). The new head unit sounds far better even with the stock speakers! Son loves it!

The speaker was listed as "fits your vehicle" and also under the "ugrade" over factory speakers search. The speaker was actually much smaller than the factory speaker so it came with a plastic ring adapter. The ring adapter itself did not fit and had to be heavily modified to make it fit. In addition, the speaker once fitted to the bracket left a large air gap between it and the backer box. After all these headaches, once I finally got this upgraded speaker into position, it sounded like crap as it was a smaller 2 way speaker replacing a 6.5" midrange.

I have used Crutchfield in the past because it was worth paying a little extra to have the peace of mind that everything would fit my vehicle and all necessary adapters and cables would be included. But if they can't be trusted to get that right, why wouldn't I go to Amazon or another big retailer and pay less?

I Was shopping for a stereo system for my 2011 ridgeline I shop multiple websites before a coworker referred me to CRUTCHFIELD. Hands down, I'm very pleased and impressed by the ACCURACY of this website. These people know what they are doing, very professional. I was able to find everything that I needed for the installation including guidance on how to install it. They even pre-connect the harness for me. All I had to do was plug and play. Thank you guys keep up the good work. I will definitely refer your website to friends and family and anyone else I come across.

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with Crutchfield. I was looking for a way to upgrade the display system in my 2011 Nissan Rogue when I stumbled upon Crutchfield's website. It was extremely helpful in allowing me to compare all of the different options of displays that would fit in my Nissan. Not only did it help me choose an option, it also found and included all wiring harnesses and mounting gear that I would need, accompanied with a step by step guide of installment instructions. This made the project so much easier and exciting than it would have been otherwise. I would recommend this company to all who are doing similar projects in their own cars.

Could have just been the speaker I ordered and my particular vehicle, but while the instructions were more detailed than what one could find elsewhere, they were incomplete. For example, "Mount the speaker on the adapter plate." Great, I could do that if the adapter plate actually came with more than one bolt (who's going to bolt a brand new speaker to the car/adapter with one bolt?). I would have gladly paid a dollar or two if offered, but it was not. Called customer service when I encountered first install issue. Decided to get a call back. Never did.

TL; DR: The website is more helpful than most. You get some "free" stuff, but not everything you need. Good luck after that.

This was my first car stereo install and I went all over online trying to figure out din, single din, double din, hands free, and all this other stuff. I actually picked out a stereo on Amazon but then somebody told me I need a kit for the dash. Wth? So I never could find anything on Amazon and noticed Crutchfield in my online search for help. I picked out a stereo and the website was all, like, whoa, hold on there, here's EVERYTHING else you need to successfully install that stereo in your model car. I was, like, no way. There's everything in a neat little list. So I made my purchase and they not only shipped for free my packages arrived TWO days later! With everything they supplied me in addition to super concise instructions, I had my new Alpine stereo installed in under and hour. Just two days ago my daughter came to me with an amp to install in her car but her stereo didn't have any rca jacks. What did we do? We came right to Crutchfield. I would recommend this company to EVERYBODY. Thanks, Crutchfield!

Shipping was fast and items safely packaged. All items worked as expected; head unit sounds great. Went with a single DIN so the buttons are smaller. Wiring harness and adapters all worked and instructions were mostly accurate and helpful; I did not need to call for help. The head unit and replacement dash mounting kit fit my vehicle with one flaw. The curvature along the top does not match up tightly with the air vent trim (as the original dash mount did). Otherwise the dash mount looks and feels the same as the original. I was expecting an over-blown price tag for all the items I ordered but turns out the cost was reasonable and I got what was necessary to install without looking all around for the correct items and directions. I checked several other online retailers and overall Crutchfield had the best options for head units, kits, adapters and clear directions. Though some individual items can cost a bit more, it may be worth paying more to get the whole package and support (if needed). Be aware that some adapters (steering wheel functions) do require external website use for access to specific directions and updates. As a novice installer of car audio systems, using Crutchfield was a positive experience all around; I'll come back here first, when needed.
