I tried to go cheap, bought a name brand from an auction site. Stereo would not shut off as it was supposed to after the delay. Even with the stereo off, would run my battery down in a couple days. Finally bought the interface from Crutch field as I should have to begin with. Crutchfield is the best in the business!

I replaced my outdated factory radio on my 2000 BMW M Roadster with a Dual XDMA760BT from Crutchfield. It was easy to install and has great features. I spent the extra $25 to have the Crutchfield tech connect the wiring harness adapter. I have had the radio about a week and it does everything as described on the website.
