This is scam. After you place order, then you will not get your product. I already started credit card dispute process. Does anyone know how to report this website to fraud department.
I've never had such a bad shopping experience before. They charge quickly, but they don't deliver the goods. I've been waiting for more than three months...
CookStore.ca Had cheapest price for what I was looking for, fast shipping and top-notch service. Would definitely look to them for further purchases in the future!
I ordered an ice cream maker from cookstore.ca in the last week of August and spent the next 3 months chasing delivery. They don't answer the phone when you call but there is a recorded message asking you to send an email which I did and, to their credit, they responded very promptly every time saying they'd send it as soon as it was in stock. I noticed they continued to advertise the particular ice cream maker I ordered even though they didn't have it to deliver.
They even sent me a request to give them feedback which I did - never heard from them.
I finally received the ice cream maker just before Christmas and guess what? It was faulty! So I emailed them about it and they responded saying I needed to take it up with the manufacturer. Great!
I original bought the ice cream maker from cookstore.ca coz they had the best price. Now I notice it's $40 less at Amazon... and I know if Amazon ever sent me a useless faulty product they would just replace it straight away.
I also ordered an electric knife sharpener from cookstore.ca in September. It never came. Despite numerous queries. I cancelled the order last week and cookstore.ca processed a refund.
My whole experience with cookstore.ca has a been a terrible waste of my time.
Ordered several high end items about a month ago. Heard nothing from them for about a week and had to contact them to ask if the items had shipped. They were not. Eventually, they did ship it. Finally received it today and was immensely disappointed in the way the items were packaged and shipped. It was as if they have no respect for the products they sell. The boxes of products were taped together with packing tape, then everything was shrink wrapped and sent. By the time they were delivered to me, the shrink wrap had busted open ( almost falling off from the boxes), exposing everything. One of the boxes had been crushed. To separate the boxes from each other, I had to rip off the packing tape, damaging both boxes in the process. If these were meant as presents for someone else, I would have been extremely embarrassed about the condition of the packages. Thankfully, the frypan does not appear to be damaged - but I have not had the chance to test the Coffee Grinder yet. Because there was no cushioning whatsoever to protect the electronics of the Coffee Grinder, I am a little concerned. If it is damaged, I certainly don't look forward to returning it for exchange and having to go through this entire ordeal again. A little consideration for their customers by notifying them of shipping, packing all products properly and respectfully would have been nice. Never again! I had given Cook Store a try, thinking that I would support a Canadian business - but it appears they really don't care.
Shopping on Cookstore.ca is an easy process with detailed descriptions and fast checkout process. Our coffee pot was quickly delivered in a well padded box so everything was in excellent condition.
We ordered the All-Clad 12" Copper Core Skillet at a really good price, and it arrived quickly and in great shape. It's a beautiful pan, and doing business was easy. Thanks for a great purchase!

They could ot find my payment and wouldn't help me remediate the situation
They would not even contact paypal.
Now the money is stuck for over a month because this website doesnt have adequate organised system to control their sales in high volume

I only received part of what I ordered. I paid for everything when ordering in August. There are still items missing in December. There is no way to communicate with them.
We used the Cookstore since we needed a timely delivery for high chairs for our restaurant. Prior to purchase we were promised 5-7 business days delivery. It has been more than 2 weeks and we still do not have the chairs. At this point we have incurred expenses for rentals to the tune of multiple the original cost of the purchase. They employed a misleading business practice and are in breach of contract. This may be the way they do business in general, please see other reviews and save yourself the trouble of dealing with them. I WOULD NEVER, EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

I trust the random automated voice phone calls telling me a won a cruise more than this site. They lie about stock but charge your card asap when you place an order, then leave you hanging for months while the website randomly updates to out of stock despite manufacturers & other normal stores all having availability. Emails do not get responded to and the phone lines are duds that send you in an endless hold loop. Only way to get your money back is a chargeback through your credit card.
Poor customer service and don't ship items that were ordered... shouldn't take your money if items are not in stock they should say so from the get go
Found online when searching for specific global knives. They had a great selection. Easy order. Shipped fast. Fair pricing. Couldn't ask for more. Would definitely use again.
Made an order over never received it. Customer service has stopped responding once I asked for a refund. Promise after promise was made that the item was "in shipping"

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
