I purchased this system for my new home. This is the third home I've had this system installed. The drawers are a huge issue. They pop out and fall off the tracks. The store replaced 5 cages and I had the exact same issue. I had 5 more drawers in another closet with the same issue so in total 15 drawers are being returned and I am switching to shelves which does not make me happy. From what I've found online, this is a known issue saying back at least 5 years. Customer service had only been ok, nothing outstanding. In fact, one manager insulted me telling me they were not installed properly. I think after having installed these systems in two homes, I know what I'm doing.
Sold me a shelving system for over $2K in 2023. Trying to buy components and found out the system is discontinued. They told me to go to Amazon or Ebay to find parts. When they sold me this system, I'm sure they knew it would be discontinued. Be very careful with this company!
Clerks spend their time chatting with each other. Too many clerks doing nothing except walking around the store wasting time. Overpriced items and useless clerks. One clerk even sneezed all over me! I won't go back.
This was my first time placing an order with the Container Store. I was having trouble with my iPad so decided to call customer service and order over the phone. I spoke with an associate (David) who could not have been more helpful, articulate, and pleasant - my best customer service experience ever. My package arrived as scheduled, very carefully packed, exactly as advertised, and the excellent quality I was hoping for. I could not be happier!
Be aware if you submit a complaint because the customer chat representative you submitted a complaint against, will intercept your message, in order to block you from reaching, contacting, or reporting them to someone else at the company.
This will happen hours after the inital chat support had ended and after customer request to have no further interaction with that specific customer rep.
Then management will blow up your phone and will gaslight you by downplaying the violation of customer privacy and confidentiality as a simple
"poor choice" while they raise their voice at you, dispute your experience, and make you so stressed out you end up in tears and then they'll blame you for not taking their dismissive and toxic sorry excuse for an apology and tell you that you're the problem.
Also, they will delete your comments on Facebook if you post trying to warn others about their shady ways.
I came to NJ on holiday and went to the container store with mi sis! We had a wonderful experience! We absolutely LOVE DINA! She was so pleasant and patient and polite! She made our experience the absolute best eva! Also the store was so clean and amazingly organized! Also DINA assisted with our reward discounts and assisted mi sis in signing up for her own discount coupons! Over all we absolutely loved it! Thank you so much DINA and the NJ container store for making such an amazing experience on our holiday from the UK! Cheers!
I had a ladder I purchased from another state. The manager was gracious, helpful and exchanged it without any hassle. The sales person was very knowledgeable about solutions to some organizational issues I had in our new condo with smaller spaces. Even though I went looking for something cheap I ended up taking her recommendations and truly appreciated the advice on putting it together so I didn't struggle with it. Great team at the Orlando location! Worth the drive.

I spend quite a bit in the last few weeks and received a notice that I was an "expert" organizer and to pick up a pick anytime before the end of the year. I just left the store. They were out of the "gift" and did not have anything substituted. That's a "member benefit"?! Spend a certain amount and they won't have what was promised according to their rewards program?
I ordered two lidded plastic containers. First, they were delayed and took twice as long to arrive. They also shipped them in a box that fit them perfectly leaving no room for bubble wrap. Because of this they both came broken. I called and explained what happened. They shipped me out two new containers, and they boxed them the same way. One of the containers was intact but the other was not. I called and instead of fixing their error, they would only give me the option of driving an hour to reach one of their stores or a refund. All because they are too stupid to properly box items when shipping. Instead of fixing their system they choose to lose a customer. Stupid! If I could give zero stars I would!

Metal parts for drawers move based on a small bead. The bead falls off and drawers fall apart. Replaced multiple times
Metal bars holding up shelves bend and do not work
Reinstallation is over $400 which is based on current price.
Overall product is inferior and Container Store service has not been helpful.
This is a very Racist company, 90 percent of the black leaders team were terminated, new management Jason, Vicky, Jess, Jack and Amber are very Racist and Bias. They treat there Minorities employees less than slaves, minorities are reprimanded harsher for the same situations and they coverup sexual harassment and does not follow their own code of conduct when it comes to Minorities. Best advice worst job ever! Don't work there.
Not recommended. I used this site as an alternative to Amazon (slightly better prices on some items). The wait time went about 2-4 weeks longer. I was okay with that at first, but when the items finally arrived there was some damage to the containers including some broken handles and the foam sealer which was busted off one of the lids. I tried to contact customer service and once I was able to write them a message, I didn't even get a confirmation or a reply. No one has contacted me since to offer any help with the issues. Trust me on this, if you don't want to throw away your money on poor quality products, go shop elsewhere - they have awful response time for shipping, bad products and the worst customer service... any by worse I mean nonexistent!
The Container Store is not a safe place to shop online. They will not provide a refund for items that were never shipped, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. They tried to ship the same package twice and it was never sent. Customer service just says "it shipped", but the shipping company site clearly says it hasn't. This has been such a waste of time.
Don't join the POP program. They offer specials and after you buy the specified amount they don't see to have it. Tried to do in store and was told it had to be online. And when I did online it wasn't available. When I spoke to Customer service they said they couldn't offer we item, but said I could buy it at 40% off. So container store had it to sell… just not to honor their incentive program. Definitely a Bait and Switch scam
I ordered a product Tuesday. Received in perfection condition on Saturday. Perfectly packaged. A tracking number is provided. I even chatted with both a rep at The Container Store and a shipping rep about the process since I had never used them to ship something. Both reps were easy to reach and assured me that the process would take 3-5 days. When it shipped out on Saturday, it was immediately out for delivery. The driver rang the bell and there was the package. Simple as that.
Maybe it depends on where you live as far as shipping goes, maybe it's just a bunch of angry trolls saying a bunch of false negative things about a good company, but everything went smoothly for me.
I bought a football display case which I have already used for what I needed it for. The item was wrapped to death and in a study box. Kudos to TCS and I would use them again.
The Container Store offered options via email after sending 2 messages of apology, almost from the moment I submitted the order. I followed the directions to follow up with Container Store on my "options" but cannot make contact online or by phone.
At this point, just refund my money and I'll go back to Amazon. Too bad Container Store was not able to figure out a way to sell & ship products during the SIP. Better luck for the next pandemic.
Too many alleged deals, sign up for Pop you'll get a percentage off... BUT it only applies to certain items. Gimmicky with no real deals. Overpriced based on their NAME not Quality.

It is impossible to reach this company. They don't answer their customer service line, nor their emails, and there is no option on the website for getting the shipping status of and/or cancelling orders. I can't even find out if the order is still active. And to rub salt in the wound, we saw the product in the store just sitting there but they told us we would have to buy it again (at a higher price) and then try to get our money back on-line for the original order. Thank God that was just too ridiculous and we didn't go that way because there's no way we would have gotten an on-line refund. We're going to deny the charge with our credit card company because the Container Store has stone walled us. It's our only option. Incredibly bad service. Run screaming.
I ordered 3 shelves and 6 brackets 5 days ago. I have received NO updates online or via email since my purchase. The phone system says there is a live chat system on the website to get quick answers, but it doesn't exist. The phone system gives you the option to request a call back like most retail or hospitality companies do now. However, they never call you back. I've left 3 call back requests over the last 3 days. None have resulted in a call back "when the next agent becomes available." Now I've been on hold for 45 minutes with the same terrible music and same computer suggestion to request a call back. No end in site. Also no option to cancel my pending order online. This is absolutely terrible. They deserve to go out of business if that is where they end up.
Order from this site with caution. While the items I received were what I needed for my projects, I did not receive one of the items and was charged for it. After multiple attempts to contact customer service, I still have not heard anything back. It's been months.

Answer: I have not yet been able to speak with anyone at Container Store so it appears to be nearly impossible to talk to customer service. I've been trying since early May and it's now late June.
