I recieved my order of acrylic drawers and half the rubber stoppers were missing or had come off. Not only that, one of them was badly scratched up to the point of looking stained. I posted the review and they 'moderated' it meaning they did not allow it to post because "it did not meet website guidelines". Basically they filter out negative reviews about their horrible quality control so that people will be oblivious and only see good reviews. Very dishonest site. I have attached a picture of the review.
I ordered 3 shelves and 6 brackets 5 days ago. I have received NO updates online or via email since my purchase. The phone system says there is a live chat system on the website to get quick answers, but it doesn't exist. The phone system gives you the option to request a call back like most retail or hospitality companies do now. However, they never call you back. I've left 3 call back requests over the last 3 days. None have resulted in a call back "when the next agent becomes available." Now I've been on hold for 45 minutes with the same terrible music and same computer suggestion to request a call back. No end in site. Also no option to cancel my pending order online. This is absolutely terrible. They deserve to go out of business if that is where they end up.
Order from this site with caution. While the items I received were what I needed for my projects, I did not receive one of the items and was charged for it. After multiple attempts to contact customer service, I still have not heard anything back. It's been months.
Orders shoe containers in May. Never received them. Called multiple times with no response, emailed them and no response. Again, never received my order. I got multiple "apology" emails but nothing updating me on my order. After a over two months and not receiving any items luckily they haven't charged my card yet so I had changed my credit card number. Never had I had a worse shopping experience than this. This takes the cake by far.
I have ordered a metal piece for a storage unit. It has arrived with very deep cracks and chips. I have owned several of exactly the same units for over 7 years, moved with them 3 times and they don't have a single scratch on them.
The problem is that when we received the item, we did not have time to set it up for over 2 months, neither did we check it (it's solid metal, what could be wrong with it?).
So, when I eventually discovered all the defects, I did not have much hope, but I contacted the container store customer service anyway.
I told them about the problem and they sent me a brand-new item.
I have received the replacement fairly soon and I am very satisfied with it.
It makes me want to shop at the container store more.
This is a really good store. When I lived back in Washington and first went into this place, it was kinda overwelming. My apartment was a mess and they really have everything you need. It's sad when you grow up and you feel all excited buying containers. I'm getting too old.
I have shopped The Container Store often and have always walked away very pleased with the products that I had bought, They often have had items that I haven't found in other stores. And, yes, I agree with others, that you probably could get most products in many of the box stores cheaper. That is the main reason that I hesitated to give this store 5 stars.
Never ordered from here and never will again. Order hasn't shipped after double the time promised. Emails unanswered. Spoke with customer care who informed me that it takes 30 days to respond to an email. The rep emailed the warehouse to inquire about my order but told me " they are known for not responding until after the order has shipped"
Items already had a crack and were dusty, used with stains, was so disappointed when they arrived, I wanted to ship them back right away and spoke with 3 different reps they all with very condescending attitudes, like dismissing the issue, raising voice and making assumptions! One saying " you need to send them for refund, we cant just give you refund" hello that's why I called, that's when I am saying, I want to send them back not asking you to give me refund like that, another was like, pay for shipping yourself, third was like, just wash them, then raised her voice, none of the were helpful, like why do I need to pay for shipping for used/dusty/damaged items with stains! Horrible experience! Will not order again!
I ordered online from The Container Store a month ago and the box came a few days ago. Longer than I expected but I was fine with waiting.
HOWEVER, the box came beaten up and dented, it looked like it had come apart during shipping. Two of the items were missing and the other three were dented & scratched. I've emailed them & called customer service multiple times with no response. The products aren't cheap and I want my money back.
I bought a product and was quoted one price for delivery but was actually charged more then double. I received no email confirmation and had to request one, once I received that i could see how much I had been charged and immediately requested the order be cancelled. I was told this was not possible and that i needed to contact the delivery company directly but was not given a number for them, even after requesting one. I have sent several emails but had no response. Very poor customer service.
First experience with The Container Store couldn't have been much worse. I placed a sizable order on May 4,2020 and my last item showed up today, 3 full months after I placed my order. I was notified about some back orders, but nothing more than a few weeks. Terrible service when trying to track down my items. Most of the products can be found elsewhere and I'll never shop here again.
On 5//8 I ordered 2 OXO dish mats from the Costa Mesa, Ca container store. The email stated there were 3 in stock and I ordered 2. The mail also stated the items would be available for pick up on 5/8 but I never got a confirmation. I called and they could not even find the order number. I called the number on my order and called today. They finallly said, the product is on backorder. This is entirely poor communcation or lack thereof. I have canceled the order and will go directly to OXO.
I have had such a terrible experience at the Century City store and the El Segundo store. On the website the El Segundo store was marked as open. It had some items I could not get by my store and I drove over an hour to pick up some items. The manager greeted me with so much hostility. I just asked for a cart in the parking lot and she was yelling at me that they were not open. I was like, I didn't know it said on the website a couple hours ago you were. She was so hostile continued to be nasty I actually took some of my items back to another "open" store. This all could have been avoided if the website was updated. This was a weekend and I was definitely not the only person at the door expecting an open store. As for Century City, they have some of the rudest cashiers I have ever seen. This is a challenging time, I am not sure if they are being mis managed and that is why these employees at two stores are so hostile but its really unnecessary.
I placed an order online and got the confirmation via email. Weeks went by and the shipment notice. I called, and called and called with no response. Sent an email with no reply. Kept calling and the rep told me they were out of stock when I ordered - why wasn't I notified then - and could expect the items to arrive 2 months later. I told her I knew it wasn't her fault but I didn't think I'd ever order from container store again. She said don't then - then hung up on me!
I've ordered plastic bins twice from this company. Both times they came without any protective products within the shipping box and my items came damaged. The first time they replaced the damaged items right away, but the 2nd time I have been unable to get any response from customer service
No one will email me back. 2 hr wait time to speak to someone and can't get through and even after leaving a message and call back request No one has called. Placed and order and confirmation email said it may "take up to 2 weeks to ship" well it's been way over that and nothing and shipped. I get that things are delayed but be honest and update your timelines to be more accurate.
I received perfectly wonderful and generous customer service from Barbara, the store manager at the Plano, TX Stonebriar location. Thank you C. S. for hiring employees that are compassionate and honest.
Do not trust Container Store when they offer you a credit card with a special 0 interest rate! I ordered 3 closet systems/installation and did that because I had the option of what I was told would be 36 months 0 interest! As a result I spent a ton of money at Container Store- so they benefited.
It has now been 18 months and I realized I am being charged interest. I called the card company and they told me that I only had 12 months interest free, and because I didn't pay the balance in the first 12 months I was assessed interest to the beginning of the purchase. So, essentially I am paying full interest from the time I made the purchase.
What a scam. This is not at all what the staff at the store told me! I would not have made this decision or I would have used my own card and at least received miles, if I was going to pay interest from the time I made the purchase.
The problem is that I made this decision in the store while making the plans for the closets. So, I was not researching a credit card and of course didn't even have the details or fine print, because it was the store staff who told us about the offer. I believed I had the info I needed, and I set up my monthly payments based on thinking I had 36 months to pay it off. I was making automatic payments monthly, so honestly I wasn't looking at the account. And I made the mistake of not going over all the detailed information about the account.
I have been a customer of Container Store for years and have spent so much money there. I am DONE!
AVOID! I ordered and PAID IN FULL for a container in Oct 2020 – I received an email from THEIR representative it would be 2 weeks for delivery. After 8 months of the hassle calling them and me plowing the snow being prepared for delivery – they told me they wouldn't deliver the container unless the price came down lower than what I paid. I finally requested a refund.
Answer: Not doing my homework to find out that this company is honestly one of the worst, if not the very worst companies I've ever ordered products from. They are unreal!
Answer: I have not yet been able to speak with anyone at Container Store so it appears to be nearly impossible to talk to customer service. I've been trying since early May and it's now late June.
