I recently had an unsatisfactory experience with ClassPass that I feel potential customers should be aware of. When I decided to cancel my high-tiered membership ($99/month), I had about 100 credits in my account. Given my experience with other service providers, I assumed these credits would remain with me for future use.
However, I discovered that ClassPass doesn't allow customers to bank these credits, which was surprising and disappointing. While they do offer a roll-over system for some memberships, this policy wasn't transparent to me. When I tried to verify my past credit balance in the app, there was no clear way to view this information. I was only shown my current balance, which read zero.
The bottom line: I believed the credits I paid for would remain accessible, and I feel misled by their system. If you're considering ClassPass, I'd urge you to fully understand their credit policies before investing. Disappointed with the lack of transparency.
I was charged for a miss class i attended? They are charging me an extra $20 because their system says i was not there when in fact i was! NO SUPPORT what so ever. I will be disputing the charges if they don't clear this up immediately.
Terrible customer experience. They just charge your CC and won't refund your money for any reason.
Also, gym owners hate when you come in with class pass and give you either different treatment or try to convince you to get a membership at the location.
Classpass is just there to take your money
They will rob you blind, send you down a spiral of chat bot email responses (no real people or phone number here, so good luck getting anyone to help you!), and you'll end up so tired you won't workout and will just be poor. If that sounds good to you, join ClassPass today.
ClassPass charged me for two months of membership fees but never informed me that the subscription was activated so I never actually used the service. My friend had initially sent me a trial to join her at a class and when I arrived at the yoga studio I was told the trial was not activated. ClassPass refused to refund my money. They have no phone number and speaking to them via email will get you nowhere. I recommend contacting your credit card company and disputing the charges.
Having class pass has been an absolute waste of money for the last year at least for me they are horrible at customer service. My credit card was stolen and I had to replace it and they just wiped out all of my credits over $100 worth. No one will answer me. I have been wasting money without any credits rolling over they take half of your credits away Every month. If you don't use them it's money down the tubes and no one will get on the phone with you this company is a joke, and they are stealing money from customers and squeezing the life out of gyms and the fitness industry. I hope the class pass goes down the tubes.
What a terrible experience. I joined the trial which was supposed to be "FREE ONE MONTH". However, it actually charges you in advance for credits. Class pass does not want to give me a refund. Be careful!
Hi Guy, thanks for sharing your feedback. We do apologize for any confusion or frustration here! As a friendly reminder, ClassPass is a monthly subscription service, and we note this in a couple of different places on the website. Our auto-renewal feature, after the trial period, is explained during the sign up process and in our confirmation emails. If you'd like to send us an email with your account information to http://classpass.com/contact, we'd be happy to look and see if there's anything we can do to help.
I have been trying to get a refund after cancelling my class pass. Not only do they make it nearly impossible, the customer service is extremely rude. I am still fighting to get my money refunded. There is also no customer service number. Shame on them!
They don't notify you each month before charging you. God forbid you forget about it and you're screwed. They won't reimburse anything, even months and months of completely unused services. Their customer service sucks enough not to even start a membership. No phone number is available to actually talk to a human...
I faced that I can pay $89 every month and don't get my credits, because of their "rollover " program. This is ridiculous, because basically I'm paying for the air. I want to use by the end all my credits and cancel my membership. I would never again use this app.
I did not like how my membership trial has 6 credits left but I could not fully utilise it. When I contacted your staff, she told me it's because of the A/B testing. That is very disappointing to hear that some users will get to utilise all 20 credits and some wouldn't get to. However, my friend ended up in the same situation as me. When we got to 6 credits, we were not allowed to book more classes. So tell me ClassPass, does it mean that trial users are only allowed up to a maximum of 4 classes instead of giving 20 credits as promised?
I've been a longtime ClassPass user and recently missed a class because of unexpected police activity around the studio that I was trying to go to. I was charged a $28 late cancellation fee. The studio refunded anyone who purchased classes directly from them but because I booked through CP, they told me I had to go through CP. I contacted customer service and told me they would not reverse the late fee because I "should have planned better." Super inflexible policy and total lack of consideration for their customers.
I arrived at 3:10. But was not able to attend the class. The late fee was outrageous 31 dollar? Yet the month subscription of the class pass is 90.31/90= 33.3% of subscription! It is the one thing I hate class pass! Sometimes accidental happens! No one expects and can avoid. Yet this app tries to make money out of other people misfortunes!
They are stealing your money. In the App nothing says that if you missed a class they will charge you $20 for it plus keep the credits, the normal will be for them to keep the credit period. No notification o the app nor and email for the $20 they billed you for it, I find out because of my credit card statement. (I'm Miami Florida)
The worst is that the shows gyms on the app, that actually had classes available and after the trial, surprise surprise they are no longer available. Also if yo visit the same venue more than 3 times in a cycle, they will charge you more for the 4 or more visits.
We were a studio previously partnered with ClassPass. We joined over 7 years ago based on terms agreed upon, where I had the option to limit headcount to control the flow of students, as we are very busy At times. They began offering premium slots without any notification and ability for me to manage a max. We started to have to turn away clients due to overbooking. When we reached out they took over 1 month to respond. We started logging daily service tickets and still no response. After jumping through hoops to terminate our contract they have not fully removed us from their site. There is no customer support phone number. It seems shady how they operate business. They are now in violation of using my trademark since we don't have a contract with them. They will not raise what they pay you either. Horrible company to work with.
Deceptive practices. Do not use. Most expensive free trial of my life. Cancellation policy is impossible. There are multiple prompts to prohibit you from cancelling. Their phone line goes straight to voicemail.
Hi DJ, we're sorry to hear about your frustration here. We don't offer phone support, but we are available on email and chat! As a friendly reminder, ClassPass is a monthly subscription service, and we note this through out the signup process, but we do apologize for any confusion. You can request a cancellation any time through your Account Settings, or through email.

Guys don't ever use this app.!
First they drag u by using it for free days
The locations are terrible!
They don't have coordination with the gym or studios for accurate timing
Missing a class cause u to pay penalty
And calculating the points and other is over expensive
Register in a gym or buy groupon vouchers for classes if way cheaper.
I have been robbed by this application and I'm gona sur their asses in the court.
I rarely write any review in my life but my main focus on life now is to make people be aware of this fraud.
Seriously follow my advice people living in uae.
Read apple store reviews
I had a good experience with ClassPass in the pre-pandemic era but since then, the quality of the offering and the standard of service has seriously declined. I renewed thinking I would use credits toward other services beyond the yoga classes I usually take because in-studio classes are not yet in full swing. Every salon where I made an appointment, canceled my appointment within a few hours. I called to follow up and they informed me they don't accept ClassPass even though the ClassPass website allows for scheduling and misleads the consumer saying they are an option to use credits. I'm out about $30 so it's not a huge deal but I really liked this service so it's too bad they couldn't keep their early momentum.
I had a membership with Classpass and before that membership renewed, I upgraded to a more expensive membership. I ended up being charged for both memberships, the old and the upgraded one. My CC statement shows both charges on July 30. Daniel from customer service was terrible, saying I'm the one who upgraded and it's not their problem. They said I upgraded on July 31 and that's why I was charged for both memberships, however this is obviously false because I was charged on July 30. So obviously I made the upgrade before the renewal cycle on or before July 30. These guys suck! Also the app is clunky and no way to filter out studios you dont want to keep seeing in your search. 90% of my search results are yoga and i dont do yoga and cant filter it out. So i have to scroll ans scroll to find something not yoga. Hope a different competitor comes out.
Absolute scam of a company. They falsely charged me £19 for a 'missed' class that I had attended and then told me they'd processed the refund yet somehow, weeks later, the refund still hasn't appeared in my account. The bank say there's no trace of it. 'Customer service' is appalling. Just robotic avoidant answers and no attempt to rectify the situation. Cancelling immediately and I'm warning everyone I know to stay away.
Answer: I was having a good experience until I tried to change billing date and things got complicated. I was still billed on date I was trying to change was advised I will need to cancel then reactivate account. Even though I was charged it is showing I don't have any credits. I tried chatting and getting this figured out but I am being told I don't have credits even thought I just paid. I tried cancelling several times and its always a chat nightmare,
Answer: Great concept... terrible execution and company. Someone please hurry and make a better company using this concept because the idea was actually quite good but I refuse to give them anymore of my money.
Answer: Oh, it's easy to get a hold of Customer Service but THEY WILL NOT HELP You if you need a refund for an erroneous charge or a mistake ClassPass has made. They'll simply tell you over and over they can't issue any refunds no matter what even if you haven't used a single credit and no physical property has been exchanged.
ClassPass has a rating of 1.1 stars from 245 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with ClassPass most frequently mention customer service, free trial and credit card. ClassPass ranks 77th among Gym sites.
Hi Jonathan, thanks for getting in touch. We're so sorry for any confusion with your class attendance. A helpful tip is to check your app after class. If you haven’t been asked to rate the class, you can double-check with the front desk after class to make sure you were checked in correctly!
Please send us an email at https://ClassPass.com/contact with your account email and class details if you need further assistance here! We're happy to look into this further for you.
