I have ordered from Chewy's several times and shipping is always fast and reliable and prices are usually among the best. The one time something arrived damaged they had a new one sent out within an hour of my emailing them. Would definitely recommend shopping here.
Received email advising boxes would be delivered on a day so did not buy more supplies while out. Delivery did not arrive so had to make a special trip out and spend additional money. Same exact thing the next day. 2 days of innacurate emails and then no deliveries meaning had to incur extra time, expense and aggravation again x2. Customer service offered a nominal credit for future order. There will be no future orders as have closed our account. Delivery issues happen, but even Walmart does a better job of rectifying problems.
Excellent products, prices, and customer service. We order all our pets' food, treats, toys, and veterinary prescriptions (easier than getting them from the local vet, who referred us to Chewy to begin with!). Processing mistakes and returns is a smooth, quick, and pleasant experience every time. I'm a major fan.
I have been a member now for several months. My wife and I own 2 cats and due to health issues cannot drive any more. We were going through shopping carts faster than we should due to hauling litter and food every month.
With Chewy we get 40 pound bags of litter and 13 pound bags of dry food with only a flat shipping rate of under $5. Shipping is also very fast usually 2-3 days after your order. Right to your door. We only had one mishap of a damaged tub of cat treats but that was instantly replaced and shipped after contacting them through their website chat.
Customer service, the selection of supplies, price and speedy delivery are all excellent. We are glad we found them.
Amazing and reliable service. Great website and even better customer services. Friendly and very quick fix to a problem with an order that was my fault. So easy, good prices on hard to find GI dog food. Love chewy.com.
Chewy gives the best service for dog and cat products. Fantastic. Great prices, excellent customer service. I set up an automatic shipment for a certain product and it works. It is easy to change shipment date, via online or through 800#. Order arrives like NEXT day! Love this company
Ordered from this company last year, no issues. This year they ignored my emailed prescriptions so kept cancelling my order and contacted my vet to incite more costs. After many phone calls they still ignored me, ( Dennis, Jamel, Et all). The supervisor Kate promised to phone back the next day but lied as she never did.
Do not make an order! If there is any problem they lie or ignore you, even if they are the ones who created the issue by being lazy!
Honestly cannot beat their prices nor fantastic service! Even the local chain pet store didn't beat the dog food price when they had a sale on it! I get our 2 dogs food, toys etc. from here! Shipping is super fast too! I am always recommending this place to anyone who has a pet.
This site, oh my gosh. The best all encompassing animal I've ever seen, food, prescriptions, one stop shopping right here. They have it all, including prescription food for your pet.
Plus, if you sign up for auto delivery 15 dollars off first order, plus an additional 5% off of food items. 5% off of your food items every order.
Fantastic customer service, in AMERICA. Get this, NO MENU. You call and actually speak to a human, when you call. What the what? Seriously, it's unreal.
Gold stars, every possible wonderful thing I can say about them. What quality in a world of complete BS, and garbage. Just completely incredible site. I cannot rave enough.
Downgrading this review for two reasons. First, a dog bath that I purchased a little more than a year ago failed exactly one week past the one-year limited warranty Chewy offers. They told me they could not do anything and to contact the manufacturer with "questions or concerns." You'd think that for an item that gets used maybe a couple times a month, at most, an extra week of warranty coverage might be logical. But no.
Second, I have submitted reviews on Chewy for that bath twice, and neither review has posted. The first review was mildly negative, pointing out some dog-safety concerns. The second was a one-star review because part of the product broke, with normal use. The product has almost all positive reviews on Chewy's website, so I suspect some cherry picking of feedback is going on here. I am so disappointed. I used to love this company.
My vet dispensed a daily medication for my dog (Galliprant) that was more than $4 a pill. I checked Chewy.com and found it for about half that price. They handle contacting the vet's office for approval, and they get a new approval for every refill (they notify me of progress by email). I don't have to do anything because it's all automatic. Easy peasy. The medication they dispense is authentic, which is not necessarily true for some online pet pharmacies. I think it's outrageous that veterinarians in the US are allowed to dispense their own medications (usually at a hefty mark-up because it is a profit point for them), so I am happy to bypass that racket and buy direct from a reliable source. Great service! (BTW, Heartguard is also about half the price that my vet charges.)
Update 8/28: After months of approving refills, my vet's office has stated giving me trouble over Chewy filling my dog's prescription. They have no right to do this, any more than my doctor can force me to fill my prescriptions at the medical center in which her medical group operates. I phoned Chewy and was told that they will follow up again with the vet. So it's good to know they will fight the battle for me. It is absolutely unethical for vets to use prescriptions as a profit center. Years ago I had a vet agree to price matching with another online pharmacy (before Chewy existed) so that he could still get a cut if the profit. He said the reason was that it was the only way to be sure I received good quality medications. But I happened to be standing at the counter when some of his deliveries came in, and I saw boxes from the same vet supply and pharmacy I was using! So stand your ground and demand that your vet "allow" you to fill prescriptions elsewhere. It the vet won't cooperate, find a new vet.
I would give less than 1 star if possible. My lovebird got his foot tangled in a toy Chewy sold me. I thought reporting and reviewing the product at Chewy.com others would be made aware of the dangers of this toy. I believe chewy should have stopped selling the toy. What happened next was nothing more then ignorance on the part of Chewys executive team. Instead of sharing my information with potential customers Chewy instead would not publish my review and then blocked me from their social media sites. I have to wonder after this incident how many products have customers reported issues with that Chewy continues to sell? Stay away from Chewy if you value your pets health and safety since Chewy clearly only has sales in mind and not pet safety.
Chewy is so confused on their pets medication orders. Trying to find out when it will ship, did it ship, they claim it has shipped but cannot locate a tracking number, etc. Nightmare alley. One hour on the phone each time. A week later, still no package. Go elsewhere for your pet medication needs.
My Aunt has ordered from Chewy for her diabetic dog for awhile. Unfortunately he passed yesterday and she called to cancel her orders. They sent a beautiful flower arrangement today. That meant so much to her. This company cares about our four legged children
I am completely amazed by chewy.com's philanthropic approach. I accidentally ordered 4 chair covers. When I tried to return two of them, I was told, "If you believe the FurHaven Waterproof Non-Skid Back Furniture Protector,... could still be of use, please feel free to donate it to a local shelter or rescue. We'd be happy to know that it's going to help pets in need." I thought I misunderstood, but I didn't. Chewy did not want a return; they wanted me to donate to needy pets. I have never heard of a business doing something like this. Maybe it is cheaper to have the customer keep an item rather than pay for shipping. I don't know, and I don't care. This is a great idea.
Our sweet dog, Sadie, 16 1/2 years old, has been having health issues. She decided she no longer wanted to eat a certain type of dog food we had been ordering from chewy. I contacted them, asking if we could return it.
They refunded our entire purchase, and told us we could donate the food to a animal welfare facility.
I have Never received customer service like this, EVER!
Chewy, you're stuck with me and my animals, forever!
These days it's rare to find a business that deserves 5 stars, in my opinion. Poor customer service is everywhere because it is unfortunately tolerated now but Chewy's is a pleasant exception. I have been using them for years and have never had a bad experience so it's time to say Thank You for competitive pricing, special promotions, coupons, extra fast free shipping, excellent customer service, a large inventory selection and an easy to use website. My most recent order included an item that required a prescription, it was easy to provide my veterinarian information so that Chewy's could contact them for authorization. I placed the order on Friday not expecting to receive it until Tuesday at the soonest, but everything arrived on Sunday including the prescription that they had to contact my vet about. Keep up the great job Chewy's! I appreciate you very much.
1-3 day shipping for orders over $49? Ya... a week later, my package had still not arrived. To be fair, I gave Chewy 1 star because when pressed, they refunded my order. I gave them only 1 star because their customer service person tried to turn my "still has not arrived" complaint around to apologize for my order [going out] "before I was ready for it". What does that even mean? In a time where everyone is still a little gun shy with post-covid quarantine online order madness, integrity and reliability are important with online businesses. I don't honestly feel that this business meets that criteria.
Chewy has a wide variety of common cat foods, litters, and toys, as well as a decent selection of medicines and cat "furniture." Their free shipping minimum is a bit high, but ordering strategically allows you to hit the mark most times. They have trouble keeping certain popular foods in stock, which is quite frustrating when your cat needs a refill. If they were able to improve on that front, they would probably get all of my online pet supplies business.
Have made two orders for prescription meds. First went fine second has resulted in 20 calls which have been a compilation of ignorance and poor communication on the compan's end. I've bee hung up on 5 or 6 times and the matter mat start to be corrected on Tuesday. Fed Ex is the carrier and started the problems. Chewy just piled on the difficulties. Had to get another, very expensive prescription from my vet as still don't have any idea when or if, I'll ever get the life or death medication from Chewy.
This company has it all. Customer service, quality products, great prices all added to the convenience of home shipping.
With a ton of rescue animals, and living 40 miles from the nearest pet supply store, chewy.com has been a game changer. I'm getting quality kibble, American Journey, at affordable prices delivered! It saves me so much time and money. Plus, they are reliable. I know when I place an order they will get it right and fast.
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.
Answer: Because they make it a point to lie and deceive their customers... I will NEVER use them again!
Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
Answer: Because they have free shipping over $49. It is FREE OVER $49.
