Booked a flight with them a year ago and my flight was canceled due to covid, they suggest me to take a airline credit refund charged me straight from my debit card for booking and cancellation when it wasn't my fault it got canceled then the airline stop there flights and I couldn't use my credit now my credit is expired and they won't take any responsibility.
This is my worse experience ever. I paid them $1022, $154 for insurance and almost $700 for change. I ended up requesting a cancellation because military reason but they said they can only refund me $813 out of $1800+ even with the insurance. They gave me the insurance company buy you can't even talk to a human being with the number. Highly recommended to stay away from. They are scammers.

I had purchased tickets for a trip four months in advance and paid in full because the price was good; however, CheapOAir then began to send emails on changes to my itinerary every other week. The trip I booked had a total time trip at the beginning of 6hrs and 15mins and then was changed to 11hrs and 45mins after THREE changes and I still had two months to go until the trip. I was told there could be further changes to the itinerary. I had a nonrefundable fare and would not receive any refund even when they changed the trip to make it so inconvenient for me. I could drive to my destination with this timeframe.

Cheapo booked us a ticket after dropping the ball on booking us a ticket back in March of 2020. They had to cancel our flight due to me having covid symptoms. Long story short, we notified Cheapo air before the cut off time and they refuse to refund me our money.
They blamed American Airlines, and after doing a 3 way call with American Airlines, they got into a yelling match (American Airlines customer service and a Manager at CheapoAir) about who was responsible for the breakdown.
Back on December 30th Jayden informed us we would get a full refund and to wait 3 billing cycles.
2/3/21-Cheapo said that American Airlines sent out our refund
2/4/21-Cheapo air blamed American Airlines for not communicating with us nor sending us our refund.
CheapoAir flat out lied to us on 2/4/21 when Jayden, Gina, Hubert or Patrizio told me that they are processing our full refund ($1k+)
2/26/21-Jayden, Gina, Harner, Hubert or Patrizio told me again that the refund was processed and will show up in our bank soon.
Called today and found out that NONE OF THIS WAS TRUE AND THAT CHEAPOAIR LIED TO US THE WHOLE TIME!
This company is a scam. They made us look bad and American Airlines look back. They should NOT be in business.

Despite the obvious challenges that many companies have had to endure during the current Covid 19 pandemic, CHEAPOAIR has been EXTREMELY disappointing and frustrating to deal with! After 4 months, I am still waiting to get a legally entitled refund from them. I have called them countless times and I receive conflicting responses and unhelpful, generic answers to my inquiries about the status of my refund. I feel that this will continue indefinitely. I will positively never use the company again, and do not recommend others to do so.
I bought a ticket last year 2020, due to covid I had to cancel it, I paid the insurance they offer on their website, now that I need my air ticket to be refunded they are telling me it only works with a different airline, an airline that doesn't flight where I have to go! Becoming suspicious we contacted United to confirm our booking and were informed we DID NOT HAVE SEATS and were flying STAND BY. We purchased what we thought were economy class round trip tickets from Newark, NJ to st. Thomas us virgin island. We selected seats on all flights, most wanted another fee, we declined and found seats that were not asking for additional fees. After booking we were called by cheapo and asked if we wanted to pay $49 for each ticket to get online electronic booking tickets, we declined and hung up. Becoming suspicious we contacted United to confirm our booking and were informed we DID NOT HAVE SEATS and were flying STAND BY. The airline upgraded seats from Cheapo to economy at the same price and were told to request a complete refund from Cheapo including the service fee, Cheapo confirmed the entire refund. In retrospect I think the fee for the seats and electronic booking would have provided us real seats. STAY AWAY. CONFIRM YOUR SEATS DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE. Cheapo is running a scam and not disclosing the proper type of tickets being purchased. The agent at United indicated he was aware of Cheapo issues and asked if we were sure the ticket type/level was not disclosed properly, we told him the ticket said Economy class.
United airlines charges for seat assignments, as well as many other airlines. We contacted this customer to see if he wanted to purchase seats which is a good idea incase the airline overbooks and if you don't have a confirmed seat you are placed on stand by, the customer did not purchase a stand by ticket. Also, all ticket are electronic and has nothing to do with the type of reservation purchased, or the fact seats were not included. Economy class tickets do not include free bags or seats.

I bought insurance and protection, my travel time was in May 2019 but of course we all know the flight was cancelled due to Corona.
Since then I wrote many e. Mails did many online chats and spent so much money on phone calls with no result for my eligible refund.
It has been a year each time I spend hours explaining my issue to representatives with no use.
They keep sending the same repetitive virtual e. Mails on and on and on. When they call it rings once and they don't give me a chance to answer then they send an e. Mail that they called and no answer.
They even took a 1$ from my account and made an authorisation call with no result
The money refund is my right and necessary for me. It was a draining and very bad experience.

I booked a flight with Cheapo Air in October 2019 to visit my family, for the first time in 3 years, in Sumatra, Indonesia. The travel date was booked for May 2020. Then COVID happened. I waited until early April 2020, when it became very clear I would not be able to travel, due to safety measures and the fact that the entire country was on lockdown and their borders were closed. I then cancelled the ticket. The website said there would be no cancellation fees and all I had to do was rebook with them when I was able. I looked into getting a refund, both online & with an agent, and was told my airline ANA didn't offer refunds. I was assured everything would be fine and I could just rebook when I was able. I received numerous emails stating as such.
January 4th, I decided it was safe to rebook. Vaccines had been created and Indonesia opened its borders to citizens only. I call Cheapo Air to rebook, and was initially told my flight was all set and charged a $200 fare difference.
Two days later I was told the flight couldn't be rebooked because the ticket was expired. Mind you, only 8 months have passed since the original travel date.
Long story short: I have spoken to numerous agents and supervisors who have told me ANA won't refund the money and they are ‘escalating' the issue. I have spoken to ANA, who says they do give refunds and that Cheapo Air should have refunded the tickets immediately when we first cancelled. ANA says this is 100% Cheapo Airs fault and 0% my fault. Cheapo Air will still not refund my $1200 ticket! I spoke with the financial company I used to pay for the ticket, Affirm. They will not take our side to get our money back either. I reported Cheapo Air to the BBB and found out that 809 other people have also reported them!
Cheapo Air lied to us to keep my money in house so that I would be forced to rebook with them. They stole my money during a global pandemic and now I am out $1200. 00 and may not be able to visit my elderly mother. I sincerely hope they suffer some consequences for their shady practices.
Extremely sorry to say that your company Cheap o Air is a total fraud and has not been refunding the cancellation amounts for the bookings to the customers. This is regarding my booking on sir India flight from Newark to Mumbai on dec 18,2020 a as no return in Jan 1,2021. I had canceled my booking ref number ******* in the month of October 2020 and have till date not received my credit for the refund back. I have made several calls to the customer service and everyone I have been told that cheap o air is still waiting for the credit from the airline which was discontinued for covid reasons by air India.
I am surprised that by now if I would have traveled I would have reached US back. But here I can only say that cheap o air is only holding peoples money as this seems to be a regular practice.
I will not recommend this portal to anyone ever and would now take the leafs action if my credit is not available to me by Jan 31,2021.

My parents booked round trip plus hotels to Bogota Colombia, but because of the China virus from hell Avianca like all other airlines, canceled their flights! To reschedule was a disaster, they decided to travel back to October 2020 and again, because of Covid 19 they couldn't fly. So again booked for February this year and again my mom is sick and can't fly. In all this a $200 fee exchange and a $138 increase in tickets were charged when all airlines are not charging any fees or fare difference. Cheapoair told me because I called too late they wouldn't not refund the fee exchange when it should had never been charged in the first place! Plane tickets are cheap, but they get you with hidden fees and charges and no email communications at all explaining the situation. Never again!

I bought ticket from cheapoair and I am having problems to come back home. They changed my flight three times and they canceled the last flight while I am at airport. Send emails no body replies.
Tried contacting this customer to inform him that the flight is operating it had a change in timing but less than 4 hours therefore the airline denied any type of refund as it does not meet it's guidelines regarding operational changes. The ticket is valid for future travel.
I booked a return with CheapOair to fly from Manchester to Punta Carna. £510 the flight was cancelled I had to book at short notice with another airline at a, cost of over £900 however no refund of the £500 from CheapOair just a credit for £500 to be used within 12 months.
Covid 19 struck abd I was fast running out of time on the credit note so to use the credit I booked myself and my partner two tickets at, a cost of Wait for it! £875 return from Manchester to Tenerife South. The cost with either Jet2 or Ryan Air direct would have been about £200
Cheapiair stated that they could only book us through Amsterdam the onward to Tenerife hence the huge unwatented cost.
Then surprise surprise the Amsterdam flight was cancelled by KLM.
No notification of advise from these CheapOair bandits so I after taking all of the Covid tests booked a flight with Jet2 direct from Manchester.
Surprise surprise CheapOair refusing to refund anything yet again. Just send me a none reply email everyday saying they're trying to contact me. When you call them back all you get is, abstruction after obstruction as they run you out of time money and resolve in what is clearly a deliberate tactic to defraud customers out of there money.
They now owe me £875.00 they make no attempt to refund only cause more and more distress in carrying out a well rehearsed tactic to defraud me out of my money.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
