Chase Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is notably marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, particularly concerning its handling of accounts and customer service interactions. Many customers report significant delays in processing transactions, poor communication, and a lack of support in resolving issues, such as unauthorized charges and account closures. While some positive feedback highlights prompt responses to fraud concerns, these instances are overshadowed by complaints of unprofessionalism and perceived indifference to customer needs. I went twice to the bank to speak to David Clarke to add my daughter to the account and I was told to set an appointment. No one at the bank. I went again and he was chatting with Vilma Roc who is the branch manager and after they chat for 15 minutes and ignoring my presence and my husband presence, I was told to set an appointment. No one again at the bank. I left the bank and went to another chase located at 138-02 queens blvd, we spoke to Mr Kevin Castillo who helped us right away and welcome us. It took him exactly 15 minutes to add my daughter to the account. The first time I withdraw $100,0000. 00 from the acct and told Mr David Clarke that since he doesn't value my business, I am taking the money to a different bank and I did. Who need to hassle with lousy employee. That bank is going down the drain. Please change employee and the service at that bank

Been a chase member for over 20 years however their customer service and the way they do business currently is a crime

Unnecessary service charges with explanation is a daily event with this company as as a result I'm moving all of my personal and business accounts away from Chase

They employ the most incompetent people on the planet with an average IQ score of 50

Do yourself a favor and never do business with this Bank as you will sorely be disappointed

Don't bank with chase they are the worst bank in the world. They make you look like a fool when you are trying to purchase things by always stoping your transaction saying it could be fraud. You have to find the email or call them because they don't send alert. Then when you do have fraud charges they pay them and don't help you get them back. It's crazy to me. Then out of no where they close your account. I had $******* in my account and they froze my money and said the only way I can get it is when the account fully closes and all claims on my account is closed out. They are taking people money. I will not advise no one to use them. Also if this has happen to anyone, I'm taken a lawsuit out on them please join us in the fight to make the stop doing whatever they want.

For some reason Chase doesn't want to listen to it's customers when they are having problems with features of their online banking platform. If a customer continues to call and email about not being able to perform a task, Chase should believe them. Without doing a simple test to see what the customer is seeing on their end, the problem will never be resolved. I had already closed an accout becuse they automatically assigned me an account when getting rid of their final grandfathered accounts, and to put the icing on the cake their fees doubled, with no way get rid of them. No, they didn't try to keep me as a customer. Now it's been 4 months trying to get them to review and correct a technical problem. I was told to go into a bank to let them see if I have a longin problem, which wasn't my problem. I have screen shts of the problem, which no one in tech support online or over the phone can fix. I'm trough. I've closed my last account and will be warning everyone around not to do business Chase, including those with mortgages and investment accounts. Why? If Chase can't be component enough to address the small issues, technical issues and especially listen to the customer, when a major issue comes up they want listen then. Chase used to be a great bank, but at this point they will be merging with another bank to gain account checking, savings, and credit card holders.

Impatient and Rude
June 13, 2022

I had a problem with a stop payment on a deposit. According to the person who wrote the check and checked with his bank there was no record of a stop payment. I went into the Branch office and the Bank Manager was rude and impatient and provided no helpful answers. I called customer service when I got home and was offered several recourses for future action if necessary. And my anxieties were alleviated. Seems Chase bank managers need better training. I would give 5 stars for the remote help and 1 star for the branch assistance. ( the bankers other than the manager were polite like restaurant hostesses lol.is why.)

Chase does not care about their customers. Their customer service and branch people are very rude and very dishonest! Amazing how rude and dishonest they are. I will definitely not keep my bank accounts with them.

My Gramma who only has an Ipad and IPhone - no printer access and been a customer of Chase bank for over 10 years took an Uber to the Tanque Verde Branch in Tucson AZ to get a POA printed, witnessed and signed for the move across country to her family. She is disabled and almost deaf.

The branch told her it was policy that they couldn't print the document for her and she had to go to FedEx and they might be able to help her - but they would not do anything unless it was printed.

The temp RIGHT NOW is 108 - My Gramma and Mom attempted to speak with the Branch Manager and was told that they were not available.

I called customer service after 45 minutes and 3 representatives - I got told the Branch Manager was not available. When he called back he said they can't do anything within their systems to help because of fraud and they can't do anything.

So Gramma and Mom are asking complete strangers in a bank to be a witness to a signature of a Chase bank customer from over a decade and the branch manager said it was all their fault.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CHASE BANK

The best thing about Chase is their customer support! I travel a lot in and out of the country, and whenever I've had a problem, they've responded quickly. They are constantly looking for fraud, which is great. And one time when my card was hacked, Chase refunded all my money immediately.

HORRIBLE BANK
June 7, 2022

If you have been thinking of using Chase Bank, RUN, to any other bank. Chase priorities place the customer dead last. They are not there to serve you or help you. You cannot reach a local branch, in most cases they do not want you coming into their bank.

I've been banking with Chase since I was in high school. Back then it was fine, I could deposit my measly checks and use my debit card for easy transactions and online purchases. I've now been banking with chase for a good 10 or so years, and am constantly going back and forth between moving my funds elsewhere. Chase has a problem with depositing checks. Sometimes they'll give you partial funds for immediate use, other times you don't get anything and wind up waiting for days. I've often had to call and ask what's going on with my money, getting passed from different departments and spending nearly an hour before I can speak to someone who can tell me what's happening. This is frustrating when bills need to be paid, and you depend on the money you're trying to deposit. For a year I left Chase to bank with Chime and loved it. I wound up going back to chase because of the presence of physical banks making things "easier". One day I'll switch banks for good!

I opened my pers. Chase account in 2002, with an lovely young Banker (who was the PERFECT customer relation at my local branch)! After meeting her and see, how she treated me and my new opened Account holders as Chase, I changed my Business Account, my Savings Account and entered in many new products over the years with Chase!
And suddenly by 2020 everything changed (and I am not talking about Covid-19), I am talking about banking! My Husband opened accounts and became a "private client" (which means nothing at my local Branch in Sheridan Street) there are no advantage of any kind, except calls from a "Banker" who try to sell you new stocks or investments.
In March suddenly, Chase didn't pay my set up Bill pays (with more than efficient money in all Accounts) I made 2 bank appointments to find out, what could be the problem! Guess what? My Account where canceled! I couldn't believe this, when the online customer service told me! I send an certified letter to the CEO at Headquarters (never heard back) spoke and emailed to Executive offices at Chase, (we have to do some deeper research), You never receive an full name or employee #, the Executive Department is not allowed to answer via email ("only" via phone call)! I believe this is some ill feeling going on! Thanks god, I opened a new Account with my old bank on march 01,2022 and had enough money to do so, since Chase hold my money "hostage" and would not authorized wirer transfer into my new Accounts? ALL my Accounts Checking, business, credit cards (I have an 795 credit score), savings where closed without any explanations! I had to go to the bank and the only way to receive my moneys from all my accounts, was as a check payment! If any one could explain to me, is this what they are calling "Private Client" OR "customer service"? So, please if you want to save yourself a lot of headache, DON'T open ever an Account with Chase! Except if you like to left in the unknow about your Bank accounts and your banking relations! Chase need to educate their employees and as Customer, we should have access to a "rescues" line available, after 20 years of banking with Chase!

I've been doing more research about why Chase is closing down accounts for no reason it's because you either have big fluctuation of cash coming in and out and whenever they are trying to sell your money to somebody else or borrow it it doesn't really work for them they usually like the accounts that have the money still in the bank account so they can use it for their own good, I found us from one of my good friend that works at the bank anyway it's time to say goodbye to this scammers!

I applied for the Chase Amazon Visa Signature card since i do a lot of online shopping off the Amazon.com website. I got a $150 Amazon gift card as a welcome bonus from Chase. It is a virtual gift card which was added to my Amazon account. I tried to use it but when i select something to buy i get a message saying that they don't ship to, or wont ship to my address.
The site says nothing about my payment being declined, they are silent about that, i am being refused because Amazon says they cant deliver to my address. Amazon always used to ship to me, right up until the bonus gift card was added as default payment method. Nobody else has a problem shipping my address. I have a normal unremarkable address thats been on the map for over 50 years and these past few years Amazon packages have had no problem coming to me. All of a sudden Amazon wont ship to me anymore. The only thing that has changed is my payment method, that is the gift card i got from the credit card company which was pre-loaded onto my Amazon account. I tried a bunch of items to see if its just the jeans i wanted but its everything even stuff I don't want im getting a message that Amazon wont ship to my address. No other vendor claims they cant ship to me it is only Amazon. When Amazon added the gift card to my payment method i cant order anything because no matter what i select off the site i get a message that shipping is unavailable to my address. Thank you Chase for nothing.

After 8 years of banking with them, never late on my payments of multiple CC, they have over sudden decided that I am not good for them any longer and closed first my personal and not all of my business accounts, causing me a lot of time and effort to switch.
And this is all for no reason at ALL!
They have decided so…
Disgusting!

Dissatisfied
May 28, 2022

I wish I was able to give a one start, if you can wait to go to inside of the back and work with a Direct teller I strongly recommend. Put $1500 into atm and it took my money and showed a message if the atm, " if your deposit isn't post to your account call this number 1-800-*******" I called the number spoke with a representative who stated my temporary deposit will be posted in the hour or two, let's just say they denied me a credit until they investigate one to two business days. I gave the exact time and amount and what bills was put in. They don't care I have bills due so now I need to explain why I'm not able to pay them and also pay whatever late fees they will charge. Simply because I trusted chase atm to make a deposit

I have been with chase since I was 15 years old. Every paycheck I ever received has gone into that account. I haven't had much work during the pandemic. I just recently got a gig that pays once a month and mails checks. I deposit my 1st Wells Fargo check (not International bank of New Bum$#*!ton.) You would think this would be a pretty simple transaction. 1-3 business days max. Nope, 10-day hold and restricted my account until the hold clears. I also received notice that my account can also be closed if this goes bad. TLDR: My bank is threatening to close my account if my paycheck from my job doesn't clear.

I have been a customer with chase for over a year now so I have a premium account with them. That means if you use my referral code pQ3rFT39 when you join we both receive £100 completely free. All you need to do is deposit £20, which you can withdraw straight away and we both get the bonus. 20 people can use the code and 4 have so far, so 16 left. First come first served. I will remove this post once they have all been used.
