The company's reputation is notably marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, particularly concerning its handling of accounts and customer service interactions. Many customers report significant delays in processing transactions, poor communication, and a lack of support in resolving issues, such as unauthorized charges and account closures. While some positive feedback highlights prompt responses to fraud concerns, these instances are overshadowed by complaints of unprofessionalism and perceived indifference to customer needs. Overall, the sentiment reflects a pressing need for improved operational efficiency and customer care to restore trust and satisfaction among clients.

Well I've been with Chase for overall about 9 years. I want to say you have to be very careful because they're their team look at your purchases through computer investigation only. So if you use your thumbprint to log on to your account while you're looking stuff up that was not you and it was made around or about the same time, that's how they decided that if is not fraud or not. So they really can't tell if it's you or not atwho made those purchases and you will not get your money back. I lost over 1,100 this time. Several transactions happened while I was on the phone trying to explain the first transaction. So I think you need to be very careful having a bank account with chase, whether you have a lot of money or not because they cannot really tell if it's true fraud or not. You will not get your money back. This happened on more than two occasions. I was trying to give Chase a chance, but I'll definitely close my account and try to find something better. No one can afford to lose a dollar much less thousands because a bank needs to be better then the criminals and keep you money truly safe. Beware.
I have had many accounts with Chase over the years. It seems like they are too big to aviod. I have had several issues with them concerning a mortgage and I had to jump through hoops to change my name on my credit card. And once I changed it, they didn't change the profile name which lead to huge issues months later. The Chase Sapphire is a great card and worth the hassle, but the other products have not proved to be worth it.
If you are running a business I don't recommend Chase! They keep running this crazy checks on every transaction and if they somehow feel that they don't like it, they just cancel the transaction leaving your business agreements unattended. They are a nightmare to deal with!
I started my 60 (business) day refi with Chase in February, fast forward to April and 2 days before closing, the loan gets denied. It gets denied for the same issue I brought up to my loan officer in the beginning of the process to make sure there was not going to be an issue & before I had to pay the non-refundable $500 application fee. I was told both parties spoke (Chase & 2nd Lien Holder), and everything was fine. That is when I paid the $500 fee to move forward with the loan. Now April and 1 week to close, the loan-officer in charge of my file leaves Chase & I was assigned another representative. They move the closing to the following Friday, then 2 days before closing I receive an email from my Chase representative that my loan was denied for the same issue, I was told was fine 3 months before. Only a sorry was all I got. Something I inquired about from the beginning to make sure before we started this long tedious process. I GOT DENIED. Not only did I lose three months with Chase, now I have to start the process all over again with another company and have to suffer the high-rate increase that is being offered. Rate I got with Chase 4.9% & rate now 5.5%. Chase won't even return my $500 for their mistakes.
I've been a customer at the layton branch for many years. My wife and I entered the branch to have a notary sign a paper for us. They have signed the same papers for my wife the last 2 years. Just because my wife is from another country and and has a little trouble with English. They would not help us. I even offer to translate and she wouldn't. I'm closing my account and moving to Mountain America credit union. They should Fire the manager and take better care of there customers. Bye
OMG do not use this Bank! My brother passed and I brought in a special court order to access the Safe Deposit box with the death certificate to make arrangements to the close box. They had to approve it and sat on it for 3 weeks. I get a call that they approved it and now I am back home out of state. Okay so my next trip back for memorial is set up for 3 weeks from now and I get a letter saying they will close the box if I don't in about 10 days from when I get the letter. Called number on letter, couldn't help me, so I was given another # and it is basically a non working #. Called branch and told them said they couldn't postpone it and I would have to get extension. They gave me 2 #s to call. First number told they have no control over branch SD boxes and to contact the branch. TOTAL RIDICULOSNESS AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The branch manager simply could make the appt with me (since they already know the whole situation) and let me go in there when I am there for the service only 3 weeks away.
An agent named Nicole deactivated my account by mistake today when I called to ask if my new debit card had been sent. She apologized for the mistake and put me on hold so she could get her manager to fix her mistake. 3hrs on the phone and 7 different "supervisors" later. They told me they could not reactivate my account. It will take 3-5 days to resolve the issue. I have no access to my account and no way to get any money out of my account. I'm sorry but what kind of company has an employee make a mistake and they are not able to fix it causing the customer a mountain of financial issues. I'm getting a new bank. I've never had a bank treat me with such a callous mentality.
I rented a car in Phoenix, Arizona but did not use my Chase Amazon Visa card. I paid in full, by another method and have the receipt to prove it. " Somehow," the car rental agency charged my Visa $ 191.00, for what I don't know, and did not authorize it. Disputed the charge with Chase Amazon and was told this was a valid charge because the car rental agency " said so". What? I can't believe this. But I'm not giving up!
Another great "customer service " interaction today. I paid a landscaper today and then received a message from Chase bank that my account was locked. The message said to call Chase Bank immediately. I stopped what I was doing to call Chase Bank. Guess what? The bank fraud section is closed today. The landscaper isn't getting paid, and my account is locked. I called customer service, spoke to someone who didn't speak English well, only to discover they can't help me. Since when does chase bank get to decide how and when I'm spending my money. Monday morning I'm looking for another bank.
I have a Chaser checking/savings account. With direct deposit from my employer and a generous amount of cash flow monthly. I made a mobile deposit with a automated check (mailed from Navy Federal Credit Union), and instead of holding the funds like a normal deposit. They decided to freeze my account and all monies that were already deposited. I had no access to my existing funds. No notification either. I contacted Chase, and they forwarded me to the fraud department. Why wouldn't they simply place the deposit as pending? Instead they tell me that if my deposit doesn't clear in 7-10 days that my account could be closed and sky funds remaining would be mailed to me. Their customer service wasn't helpful and i was on hold for an hour on multiple occasions.
*** DO NOT TRUST CHASE WITH YOUR BANKING **
Let me tell you about Chase Bank. I called them today, told them about a 4600$ check that was stolen from me. Told them it was in their ATM, in their branch and the guy informed me there was nothing they would do about it. No matter that the check has been forged, that it's made out to a company, that the account it's going into has no ties to the company the check is written to, Chase bank is willing to cash it. This tells me that anybody can steal a check from whomever, no matter the size of it, no matter if it's forged, no matter if the name on it, put it in a Chase bank ATM and in 3 days or less, you're acct will have that money. He says to me, 'ma'am I know you're upset, but we didn't steal your check' I replied, 'No, but you're sure willing to cash it.' Chase bank the place to take your stolen checks. They didn't steal them, but they sure will cash them.
The hold times to speak to someone in ANY department is ridiculous, then their employees don't even transfer you to the correct departments which makes the experience even worse and the customers more frustrated. I waited over a hour for them to tell me I was transferred to the wrong department and then another hour plus to speak to someone. The company needs to find a better way to fix their hold time, hire more ppl, and train their employees a lot better. Chase is too big of a company to have this simple issues..
Terrible communication, lack of motivation, not trust worthy one bit and most of all incompetent to complete a mortgage application. Do not expect to have one advisor. Be prepared to be tossed around as if your a nobody. Should have never chose them. I will be leaving them soon. I'll pay again just to get out from their bloody hold!
I called my bank in response to a scam by reservations.com it's called ghost booking you order one night they take seven out of your account then hang up on you the hotel in the hotel manager over 28 times I provided proof and documentation to Chase Bank and they still paid this scam I will never do business with them again and I urge all of you to do the same for it even if you are scammed they will not stand behind you I have proof and documentation goodbye chase bank
Can't find a pension ck sent by Fords. I have all the statements and no ck deposited but they say it's there. Liars
They cut my limit in half over a 2 day late payment ( I was in hospital) all payments for 2 years were on time and more than double the minimum
If you're a JPMG Chase BUSINESS client you're unlikely viewing this review. But my gripe is very real. Chase doesn't care about its Every-men customers. I've hired a debt settlement company after numerous attempts to settle my Chase Credit Charge account. Flatlining an individual's credit report with a Charge-Off is serious business. It implies a consumer walked away from a financial obligation. I did not. Instead, I watched JPMG Chase rack up thousands of finance charges on my account after I reached out to negotiate a payment plan during a brutality protracted divorce process. They enrolled me in Chase Journey credit monitoring without my permission. I hired a debt settlement company and made payments they don't acknowledge. I have no other delinquency or other issues. My credit commitments are appropriate to my limited means. Divorces can be good or bad. I simply want a full scope divorce from Chase Credit Services. It's simply not worth the punishment to my credit score, payment record which affects everything from mortgage elligibility to insurance rates and employment opportunities There's neither a readily available phone number to deal with Chase directly nor a collection agency that handles Chase credit accounts. I bet the demographics affect Chase non-business credit customers of colors in far greater numbers than mainstreamers. Exploitive business practices by a Corporation that is essentially a Goliath capable of destroying the David's of the world without a second glance.
Answer: Offered as a finance for auto loan... I am seriously thinking of changing banks..
Answer: Because they can and they don't care. The customer service outside of the branch is non-existent. They truly don't care about anything other than the amount of money they can collect from the interest they can collect from our money.
