I experienced a problem with my online checkout. I contacted customer service, and the representative promised an additional 20% off for the inconvenience, but I never received this discount. This was not a matter of miscommunication, as the Carters online manager stated when I called back later to inquire about it. This was flat out dishonesty. I hope Carters representatives are not trained to offer fake discounts like this to their customers, or they are going to have a lot more angry customers in the future.
Had I read these reviews I never would have ordered. Placed an order, they took my money $111 about a week after. It is now day 10 and they haven't shipped my order but had no problem taking my money. It's a poor practice to take people's money before you ship the product. I have a baby on the way and ZERO outfits for it due to store closures. Had I known it would take this long I would choose to do my business elsewhere. I invested all my money here for newborn clothes and have none.
From my first experience, I really try to avoid ordering from the website, but the store near us doesn't have a good selection. I've seen pretty much the same clothes, specifically, sleepers since several months ago. My daughter had a baby in October, and every time we go in there... the same sleepers. So I ordered this dress and tight set. The order was placed, according to them, on 11/22/19. On 11/26/19, there is no update. I order frequently online, and so far, this place takes the longest. My daughter likes this place, but I don't know why. I think the clothes are overly priced and the coupons are only good if you're buying the high priced clothing. It can't be used on blockbusters. It shouldn't matter. When you go in a grocery store, they don't say you can't use a coupon on sale items. I miss Babies R Us. It is so hard these days to find a variety of baby clothing in a STORE.
Placed an order on the monday. The website caused a glitch selecting a wrong address. I called them to change the address and the say they could not it was being processed and being packed for shipping fast foward five days later and package was still not shipped. I spent over $500 in clothing for my kids in one month. But i will never shop at this company again
The store did not have the top I wanted, so the salesperson ordered it for me online. I received a cancellation notice 9 days later claiming it was no longer available. It stated I would receive a refund in 3-5 business days. Well here it is 3 weeks later and no refund! I guess they're good at keeping your money! I foolishly ordered a snowsuit online to which I received a confirmation stating they were working on my order, followed by an email 3 days later stating it had shipped. Once again I did not receive my order, but this time they didn't even have the decency to tell me it was cancelled. After several calls it was Fedex who told me it never shipped. Upon calling carter's one last time I was finally told it was out of stock. Very poor business! I'm giving it one star because I can't give it any less!
Bought 2 items one had to be returned to store another mailed. Went to lots of trouble to return those items for free. When got refund they charged me for shipping item back. Really? Horrible company. Have to call several times to get money back that should not have been charged.
I had Placed an order for my twin boys... we were having family pictures done in two weeks., so I figured I had ordered them plenty early for picture day., and it took 9 days before the items were even shipped, and then only half of the order even showed up... so then 5 days later the rest of the order had finally shipped but those items didn't arrive in time for picture day! :/ Horrible I won't order online from them again!
I had put in my order already for my baby boy and needed to change the size of clothing and shoes one size up. When I had called customer service, the lady who helped me was very sweet! She had cancelled my whole order by accident, but bumped me up to over night shipping and added a 30% off my order for the inconvenience. PLUS she gave me a coupon code me 30% off my next order and also over night shipping. This was the first time I had to deal with customer service and the person who helped me was nothing but the best and made sure she got everything taken care of plus more!
Carters is my go to website for my two baby's clothing! Their prices are reasonable and their clothes never disappoint! I love how they aren't so overly priced and they always have some kind of sale going on! My orders always get shipped so fast and arrive on time! Everything comes packaged so neatly and I've received over 100$ of rewards from them just from shopping and earning points! I love Carters I will be a long time shopper!
I love this store the quality of this brand is great when washing and drying it doesn't shrink nor does the Color fades been buying clothes. I have pass down Carter's clothes to family members and still looks great.
I ordered over 130.00$ on the Carters website and paid with Paypal. After putting my daughter's address in, the website grabbed my billing address from Paypal instead of her address. I called Customer Service and their phone system had a pre recorded message saying they were having difficulties, try back later. In the meantime, I got on chat and told the problem again. For good measure, I e-mailed. After waiting I called back and was told there was nothing I could do because the time limit was up. Now I can pay again and ship to her address as long as I pay differently. This is their address/website problem.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have every had. I only gave it one star because I had to. I will never shop here again.
I waited nearly a month for my order only to be disappointed to find I was missing an item. It took me 2.5 hour's to speak to someone and when I finally did the guy apologized and said he ordered my missing item. Literally two minutes after I got off the phone I got an email for the cancellation of my item which was apparently out of stock. It left me feeling like the guy I talked to lied just to get my off the phone.
Tried calling right back but I didn't feel it necessary to wait 2 5 more hours so I emailed. Too 4 days to get a response saying they wouldn't do anything because I had cancelled the item.
Had they had a single employee to care it never would have happened in the first place, but seriously they can't even investigate before sending me back a response that doesn't even apply.
I ordered from online Carters and my package has yet to be delivered. Carters used to use FedX and USPS and I would always receive my package within a week. They clearly have changed the delivery company to some Lasership who is absolutely awful. I ordered on 12/1/19 and who knows where it is. They tried to email me a "make it right sorry about your delay" but it was the typical 25% off your order and free shipping, well I always spend over $50.00 and get free shipping anyways and always get a 25% off coupon in the mail so it was a bunch of bull. Good luck ever reaching anyone at customer service too. For a company that I have spent thousands on in the past 5 years this is absolutely awful and I will look elsewhere from now on.
On Wed. Dec. 4 I shopped at the Kittery Maine Carter's spending. $70.80. On Sunday Dec. 8 I went into my bank statement and realized Carters took out the $70.80 eight times. I called the store In Kittery and was told they had a problem with the pin pad and I should call customer service. Really? You charged me eight times, why can't you credit me seven times? There are so many things wrong with this. They never contacted me to tell me there was an issue, they have tied up my $500 for eight days and now they are telling me the can not credit my debit card immediately. On Wed. Dec 10 I spoke to a customer service rep who told me it would back in my account by end of day. That did not happen. I will definitely not be shopping at Carters in the future.
Ordered a gift card with a $30 free gift card. Had no idea of the limitations. Card would have to be used within weeks of receiving, I'd have to purchase atleast $100. In order to use it, was not allowed to go toward any door buster specials etc.
I was fooled this time, NEVER AGAIN. Anyone reading this, please read the fine print before you get stuck with a useless so called bonus gift card.
Product itself I've been fine with but I really don't appreciate companies, especially large ones doing this type of a scam.
Great clothes and okay prices. Still pricey... but... who isn't I guess. I haven't bought anything online from them yet. I will soon. I have about two or so pairs of pants, tops, jackets, and so from them from family members for my son. Great quality. Soft.
Beware of Carters.com I honestly have never been more fed up and frustrated and mislead by any children's store. I recently placed an order two months ago and a month later it arrived late. I was not very much bothered by the fact it was late I was disappointed in the fact out of the seven items I ordered I had only received the six in total. I called the consumer affairs office and told them exactly the missing item was I had not received in my package. They went on and said that they would process a refund for the missing item. Now to this day it's been close to a month and I have not been given the refund back on my original method of payment. After tirelessly contacting them a couple times a week addressing this issue I am continuing to be told that It will be processed with 3-5 business days. I have been told this more than by one associate over the phone and I am to be honest done with trying. I will not be shopping from Carters ever again.
Order placed monday after thanksgiving-my order was messed up several times. First part of my shipment was someone else's order. They could only refund me for one outfit because they no longer had the other. The second part of my order only contained 1 of 2 outfits. Another reshipment was sent- that order was lost in the mail! When I called to find the location of the outfit they said I was no longer able to order that outfit but could only issue a refund. After 3 phone calls with customer service and 3 out of 4 orders received, I only ended up with two of the four outfits I originally ordered. As a first time mom I was very excited to use carters.com, but after this, I am extremely disappointed in the unreliability and inconsistency. The only thing they offered for me was 30% off my future order. I do not have any trust in ordering from carters.com again.
My son had brand new shoes and fell apart within a month. I took them back to show them they were falling apart. They refused to take them back because he wore them more than once. Wow! Never shopping there again!
I am absolutely furious with Carter's online! I ordered an item for in store pickup. I paid for said item. We live 30 minutes from the store. My husband went to pick up the item and was informed it had been shipped back because it was not picked up within 14 days. No where in any pick-up email was it stated that my item was to be picked up within 14 days. Worse yet they didn't automatically refund my purchase. I had to call customer service, and my item is now sold out. Meaning they sold an item that had been bought and paid for and had no intention of refunding me!
