I am one of the first carouseller since its launch. Initially was ok. But eventually so many chinese scammers flooded into platform. So many counterfeit products so many issues. When I report counterfeit Carousell penalized me. For example When i was selling legit made in Germany product my items being removed another person selling the chinese knock off he get to stay even thou many people complained about him. Also harrasment and extortion is rampant as carousell helps criminals
This app is $#*!, time for someone create a better app like this, $#*! idea and run by $#*! admin. They will just ban you if you offended some admin friends or so. Its a site which scammer are here too. How would this $#*! idea got funded too.
I enjoyed using Carousell previously and its a great platform to sell stuff but recent months they are super rigid *******@nal of duplicate listings. I respect their policies but I accidentally created duplicate listing and despite removing the duplicate listing immediately my account got suspended anyway.
On the other hand noticed quite a few sellers with listings that contain many irrelevant keywords like popular brands so their listings appeared when buyers search for those brands and this is against Carousell listing policies so I reported those listings but the admin replied that they have reviewed and it does not violate their listing rules. Either they have double standard policies treatment or they just nitpick users!
Very bad customer service. My account was anyhow remove without any reason. I have email the customer service and they are taking ages to reply me and still not able to help.
I admit that previously my account was being restricted due to selling prohibited items. But since then I never sell any prohibited items. Email the customer service saying my account being restricted again but they keep saying my account is being restricted and unable to recover, even without investigations and check, what kind of customer service is this?
Keep copy and paste reply the email, how lazy it is and I am very disappointed to Carousell. Could you at least investigate and rectify the issue before jump into the conclusions?
Again, I swear I did not sell anything which is prohibited this round and I am not a scammer.
If nothing goes wrong, it is fine, not great. But if something goes wrong, unhelpful attitude and pushes the blame around. Why would you want to let this app make profits out of you but shrinks responsibility when something goes wrong
I recently purchased an item but it was defective when I tested. Seller (user ID: "minimallclutter" from Taguig City) never replaced it and even told me that it's the first time it happened to him. So now it's the buyer's problem that you never had to deal with such issue before? I kept calling and texting the seller but no response. So, I reported him to Carousell but the only thing they did was to put a restriction between me and the seller and said they cleared the listings of the seller. But when I checked the seller's listing, it's not even cleared. Is this the resolution they have in mind? How about mediate and do what's right for the buyer after receiving a defective item? Plus, the timeliness of Carousell's response to the issue is very slow. I don't know what's taking forever for them to get this resolved and they have the guts to ask me for a review on their customer service. Why not resolve this first before asking for a survey?
This childish and lame app got one of my listings removed at all for no reason.
However when I checked the -27 reviews of this site based on Carousell, I knew that this app would be wasting my time so I have decided to uninstall this app for good because their staff are way to disrespectful and their goddamn owners are too money reliant.
Seriously Carousell, do something about your own app! Not just stay money reliant and not be respectful to your own users that want to have help to take down insincere buyers/sellers and such!

The login screen now is modified. When you login, you are to through a process to verify that you are not a robot. And its quite painstaking, as you have to several rounds of clicking the images to match with the header. Bloody stupid
1.My account has RESTRICTED ACCESS for a month now & i don't even know why.
2. I have encountered different kinds of buyer here. One who haggles up to 70% of your price, one who make an offer & will ignore you once you accepted offer, another is. Buyers who are asking for "worn photos, more photos, exact measurements, only to be seen without even saying "thank you". And buyer who asked for a 5days reservation waiting for her pay day, & another 5 days for her day off because she can't go out from work, & another 5days, only to end up unresponsive even she's online. And when u gave negative review, she'll be reporting you. And finally, my account has been RESTRICTED! Very nice experience isn't it carousell?
So my dear friends who are reading this do not waste your time selling any item on Carousell. The most confusing and contradictory site. I posted a picture of some fishes in their aqua community and my account was suspended and their logic was hilariously lame
The support staff email me stating the aquarium community have different admins and they are different but they are inside caraousell! And they ask me to contact these admins from where? After suspending accounts they ask me to contact admins lol
COVID truly has affected some people in distinct ways.
I spent tons of money of caerousell for their coins before and 5 times already theyll remove my listing or suspend my account for minor actions that they wont do the same to other users as well everytiem after i spent money of their platform
BS support will purposely delay ur case with no form of contact and support staff will even block you from contacting them

I didn; 't even forgot my password! For some reason, it won't allow me to recover it. I tried forgot password but it won't send the link to reactivate my account. I tried creating a new one instead but it says I've used my number already. The same thing happened on the second account I made in lieu of the above. I simply just gave up and use Marketplace instead.
They are so, soooooo - INCONVENIENT to use.
Customer support removed my listing of a 1" artisian folding knife (a genuine Coin Claw), while listing of much more dangerous knives like kitchen knifes and military knives remains, even counterfeits of the same folding knife weren't removed. Takedowns of my listings are severely biased and I only received canned replies, failed to explain why is a 1" folder illegal and asked me to file reports of such items instead. Shockingly bad and irresponsible attitude.
I think I reviewed this site about 9/10 months ago on the fact that the buyers, sellers and the owner's control of the site were terrible. The site is now completely out of control with regard to fake and counterfeit items and the owners no longer appear to care, they are overwhelmed I guess. They should've have clamped down on this from the outset. I accept that this subjective and my experience so now here's my update of the site from a technical perspective- it doesn't get any better.
I continually have 'unread' messages in my inbox, I have to repeatedly log on for no reason. I get continuous error and timed out messages performing simple tasks. It is infuriating having to wait for the upload of pictures operation on mobile. I could go on but you see my point. The whole site, regardless of your viewpoint either as a user or from an ethical (no fakes) pov is crap! $#*!ing wake up and work to create something of value and stop cluttering the internet.
I enjoyed olx before because i can narrow my search to locations & the format is geared forr easy communications... but now its become impossible to search & impossible to contact seller... this is the worst!
Understand that duplicates and irrelevant words especially tagging f server all brands in listing is NOT allowed but there are Many seller still doing this.
My listing was removed due to duplicates n tagging but I see MANY MANY others doing the same and their listing are still avaliable after listed for months?
In addition when you report such Similar cases they said is ok double standard?
Carousel s getting more commercialized I wish they can closed down the apps soon.
Worse buyers available. Cheapskate and even asked for discounts for further 80% discounted items. Worst place to sell, your ads wont be able to see daylight unless you PAY to promote your items. Not to mention, they will BAN you if you exchange expletives after a heated exchage which the BUYER started. No protection policy if you're scammed either.

Wan to give 0 stars! Bought two phones from 2 different people both in Melbourne. I filed a report immediately and a couple of days later they emailed back saying that they can't get in touch with the sellers and the sellers are suspended instead of not allowed to sell anything on there again. I lost $1310 in one day and they couldn't even help with contacting the seller. The only suggestion theybhave was to contact my bank. The two sellers below can not be tdusted on changed their name from leearthur to godisgreat1274 as soon as money was transferred. The people from Carousell were of no help whatsoever.Don't buy from this website no matter what.
Guys, i am just going to help you to save some time before you spend hours listing your items to sell. Carousell is marketed to you as an app to helpp you sell your 2nd hand stuff, but all it is going to do is after you spend hours listing your stuff it is just going to ban your account for no reasons, with zero support from the customer service. Just read the rest of the reviews here and you will see this is not an isolated case.
Answer: Yeah look you've probably been scammed. Same thing happened to me except the guy sent something in the post so I got excited, but instead of the iPhone I bought he sent me a $10 pair of reading glasses from the post office.
