I purchased a cable and there was 0.00 for shipping when I entered my credit card. When I recieved my email they invoiced me for 15.33. The live chat person gives you the song and dance. In so many words too bad so sad. The part already processed so I need to ship it back and hope to get a refund at some point maybe... First and last Carid order. Buyers beware. Buy anywhere else.

Never again

Well if you value you're time and money i wouldn't waste it here! The first time years ago i ordered a shift nob with a specific threading! Received something not even close to what i needed! Now here in October i ordered a lowering kit! I even called in advance to make sure they actually had the parts! I was told they had the whole kit! So 580.0 dollars and two weeks later I received half of the order! For another month i wasted my time calling and being told i would receive information on this! I was never given information and every call i was told they had to wait on a response from the manufacturer! The manufacturing company doesn't make this part anymore and thats why i called! My time and money has been wasted! And its almost been a month since i was told i would receive a return label! Save yourself the time! Also if you look at the shipping label its a full suspension kit it should weigh over 100 pounds obviously the label say 8 pounds because they only gave me springs! The proofs in the pudding dont waste youre time or money i learned the hard way!

I purchased a grille for my durango MONTHS ago. When it arrived I pulled it out of the box and found that it was covered in dings and scratches! I contacted to have it replaces and after about 2 months of waiting I finally got a reply. They declined my replacement because of "every day use"... how is it "every day use" on a part that never got installed on the vehicle!?... I tried xo tacting them again but I probably won't hear from them for another 2 months

Don't purchase from them

Purchased 8 fuel injectors for our 1987 Firebird Trans Am. Got them no problem. Installed them and had problems with the car running rough. Had a certified mechanic look at it when we couldn't figure out the problem and it was determined to be a defective fuel injector. Contacting carid.com by phone and was told that it would take 5 days to review. That was November 5,2020. Called again on November 12th and 19th to be told the same thing again and again. Called again on November 27th and was finally told they would charge the credit card for 1 fuel injector and ship it out the following monday and to return defective part and would get a refund. Called on December 1st and still nothing has been done. Have had to contact the credit card company to try and help us and will be reporting this company to the bbb.

From what i see, the request to proceed with the replacement was submitted on 11/27. Normal turnaround time is 1-3 business days. On 11/30 we were asked to proceed with a refund instead of replacement which caused a slight delay.

Absolutely terrible experience. If I can give them negative stars, I would. The wheel and tire team was absolutely horrendous. I placed an order in June and was told my rims and tires will be coming within a month or two. With COVID-19, I understood. However, a month or two became 6 months only to be told that the supplier will no longer be making the rims which is the DIRECT opposite of what the supplier said. I had to go out of my way to contact the supplier directly to match up what CarID told me to see if I was being lied to. CarID told me that the supplier isn't making the rims BUT the supplier told me that they are still being made but an order for my size wasn't created. Essentially, my order wasn't really made to the supplier. The staff was incompetent - not returning emails and being rude on the phone when this was entirely their wrongdoing.

It got to a point where I just accepted that I won't be receiving the rims I wanted so I asked for a refund. They couldn't even be competent enough to get this correct. I received a refund and my refund was off approximately $200 so I had to complain to receive the refund correctly. How do you keep the shipping charge for rims I didn't even receive!? To add more insult to injury, they recalculated, realized something was wrong, and the refund amount is STILL incorrect. Now, I have to call them AGAIN to receive the missing dollars from my refund.

Absolutely the WORST experience I ever had. No wonder they are pretty low in rankings in the auto sector. If you are ever getting rims or tires, make it a mission to NEVER order from CarID. Rude, misleading staff, poor customer service, and poor communication.

Ordered Truck Side Rails from third party Carid! The Manufacure Mailed/Shipped 2 different times Each time UPS ( Brown) label the package as Damaged and it never made it out of City of Richmond, VA. I had to hunt down both Companies. UPS finally admitted its deception by a low level lazy employee! But NEVER HAS CARID reached out or communicated anything about my package investigate problem out of 10 phone calls all I got was verification of my e-mail from Forgieners TRYING TO SOUND LIKE THEY LIVE in the United States! NOT!... AFTER THIS 35 DAY FIGHT IM TOLD IT WILL BE 5 MORE DAYS TO GET $800.00 REFUND!... CARID doesn't care! Trust me!

Horrible customer service

Bsolutely the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I had a couple of issues to resolve with CARID. The first was trying to get reimbursed for a price match. They kept promising and stalling, taking over a month to only reimburse part of what they told me they would. Next, I had to return the defective part. Again, it took many emails, live chats, and phone calls to get the correct paperwork. The original packaging was very damaged when it arrived, so I had to pay UPS to package it. CARID told me they would reimburse me for this, but now are saying they won't. Their tactic is to stall so hopefully you forget about the issues. I will never use this company again and I would suggest you don't either. Find the parts you need from a more reputable company.

Very lengthy process and multiple hoops to jump through, for what should be an easy return process, plus after all the headaches, it takes an additional 7 to 14 days to receive your return credits and verification on a bank statement.

Customer service is also absolutely rushed and challenging to work with. Their staff is members have zero patience and essentially answer your questions while still in mid sentence trying to get your full inquiry stated.

I ordered a cold air intake for my truck. They sent me a used item that was missing parts as well. Tried to send it back, what a nightmare. The package got conveniently discarded per the reciever and now my CC company will not honor my dispute. NEVER again and beware people of CARid!

I recently about a month and two weeks ago or so bought some beautiful Lumen Headlights through this company which is their brand and product. Got them in absolutely loved them, but could not install them at the time because I didn't have the time or tools. However it was mainly because I wanted to be sure I could find matching taillights before returning them because the return policy says they have to be in new condition. So finally found the tail lights installed the headlights for the most part everything went smoothly. However after trying to set the beams I realized that the beams themselves were completely out of whack. In my photos you can see where the driver side high beam sits compared to where it should be and how the low beam sits at a slant. I wanted nothing more than a replacement for the unfixable DEFECTIVE one. They offered me a $25 gift certificate for $400 lights. I guess quality and service does not go with price. This company will help you all you can, but as soon as they get their money they give up on you. Do yourself a favor and order the same product on Amazon for better customer service. Also after I told them there was nothing I could do and that it was defective and I just didn't realize till I put them on they stopped replying. I thought this was a reputable company.

We ordered 2 items from them and 3 weeks passed before we called and inquired about our order thay was already paid for. At first they claimed they could not find the order after some back and forth they found the order and promised to ship the items within a day. 5 days passed and we received one item. Called again and they said they could not find the order again some back and forth and they magically found the order and told us they had not heard back from the manufacturer and to give them more time. It has been over a month.

I have placed an order almost a month ago and was given an order# with a projected time frame of about 13 days given the ongoing "pandemic". Come 13 days later the status is still in processed status and yet no email or call stating why this is. I took it upon my self to call to see what the status is and I was told they have messed up my order and it was never processed. I was given a projected date of 7 more days and I should be receiving them. 7 days later I call to see if I can receive a tracking number so they don't sit outside and get stolen to be told we haven't processed your order yet there is no tracking #. With no explanation why? Just a "we will keep you updated". I will be canceling my order if no communication is received with in the next 3 days I'm done with these people I'll take my business else we're if need be.

CAR ID IS SCAMMERS

I recently placed an order for a set of wheels costing around 1500$ for my 370z and after two weeks I received no update on the status so I emailed them to find out what was going on, when I called the sales rep (Juan) informed me that the wheels I originally ordered would not fit so they were just waiting to email me to let me know. I decided to still give them my business and purchased a more expensive wheel that Juan guaranteed would fit, the wheels arrived and I took them to discount tire to have them put on and the wheels DID NOT FIT, at this point I'm a little aggravated and just want my money back and ship the wheels back to them but when I called Juan hung up on me! They explained that they do not do any type of returns for wheels even though their employee guaranteed the fit on my exact car down to the type of brakes. So at this point carid has taken 1600$ from me. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

Lack of communication
November 20, 2020

Ordered a part for my 2013 F-250 and the site told me it would be shipped to me by October 8th. October 8th came and went with no email or phone call from Car Id. So I reached out to them and then they told that the product was on back order. That probably should of been stated when I ordered the part. Would of ordered from another company. Got an email today November 20th stating the product was still on back order and they did not know when it would get in. So I told them to cancel my order and car id said it would take 5 business for them to put it back on my card. Don't understand that they can take my money so quickly but take their time giving it back.

Stealing my money
November 20, 2020

I ordered a set of engine mounts. Never opened the box they came in since during the shipping I found out my issue with my truck wasn't engine mount issue. I called them and set up a return and attached the label they gave me. A few days later and I checked the tracking and it arrived to them successfully. This was over two weeks ago. No refund as of yet. I called multiple times to their customer service and there weren't able to figure it out. They escalated it twice with no positive results. I am out $200 and that is theft. I have been robbed in a white collar fashion. This company and those in it are accomplices to robbery and they will be held accountable. Mark my words.
$200 may not be much to some but to me it is.

I was charged over $1200 two days ago by this site which I've never visited or heard of previously. I have no kids or spouse that would have placed the orders. The charges were split in three separate transactions maybe to stay under a certain limit to avoid detection. I caught the charges right away and notified the site. It's been 2.5 days and I've received no response. I've of course contacted my bank also but I'd never do business with a site that ignores fraudulent charge emails.

Canceled order

I ordered wheels and Tires almost a month ago 2 weeks after ordering still heard nothing about order. I submitted cancel order on their site several times over two weeks never heard anything or a confirmation now contact of any kind. So I called today to see what's going on and said I still want to cancel order and lady told me it's to late. I told her I have submitted cancel on site several times and got no reply for last two weeks. She said sorry it's to late. I'll never order another thing from this company. It's been a month and still no wheels or tires and already first payment is due! I recommend to never order anything from this company. I wished I would of seen the reviews before I ordered. They only have 3 stars so that just shows how $#*!ty their service is! Steer clear of this company. I had better luck with wheel fire the last two times I bought wheels.

False advertisement

I came across the website because I was looking for a new radiator for my truck. I placed the order fine. A couple hours later I receive an email stating they're going to cancel my order. So I called the customer service desk to see find out why what's going on and the email it stated that because of a price change they cannot complete my order I feel that at his false advertisement. First time customer and I feel like they have great prices but this is just a bad experience for the first time purchasing from them.
