Heart transplant patient. Sent me wrong quantity of medicine. Said they would review my request even thou they sent out older prescription amount. Make a ton of money off of me due to the high cost of my medicines All about profits customer is Never Right. Total ripoff. Will change mail-order prescription companies and they can shove the 40 dollars and by doing so lose thousands from me overtime. Horrible Company Lousy Ethics. Zero Rating. Steve
The Caremark site is AWFUL. Who designed this? Any time I've changed employment in the last TEN YEARS I've had to create a NEW, separate account. Can't merge, or update information under the current account. I had to call for them to merge it, under a completely different user name, and here I am again, about a week of meds left, jumping through these RIDICULOUS hoops because of their poor technology. Infuriating.
This coverage sucks! There is no cvs in my area, if I have a prescription that is long term, they insist I use mail order or they penalize me by adding $15 to the price of my prescription. They don't cover a life long prescription I have to take, so I have to pay out of pocket for it. My daughter is on a long term prescription and consistently goes through withdrawals because they don't send her refills! They charge nearly twice what any other pharmacy charges for medication. If I could change coverage I would do it! If you have a choice, do not choose this coverage.
I thought it would be easy, switching from one pharmacy to another. It has been a nightmare! The people can not help you, they always put you on with your plan. However, that is incorrect. I found only a supervisor has any clue what they were doing... at lest that is what i thought, until they did something so wrong it cost me money. Every supervisor I spoke to, said it was just a matter of time, it will work out. No, it got worst. Whatever is wrong with your pharmacy, and you are thinking of switching. Don't.
First and foremost this process of getting medication is a nightmare! And since when are monopolies legal in the US! And using the excuse that it's a "specialty medication" to sell it to the highest bidder! All pharmacys should have access to these medications not just one! Today was even more of a nightmare than usual, let's start with the fact that my daughter has been getting the same medication for years but they didn't send it and didn't bother to contact me. The reason is still mysterious since nothing has changed but the double talk they dealt me made it so. Now today I get someone who can't speak English, had to hang up. Then I get miss upity on the line and is asking if my daughter gave permission, now I've never been asked this but she insisted it was there. And how about INVASION OF PRIVACY! They make you answer a list of questions that are absolutely none of their business! Never had a local pharmacist ask if she is on any new meds! This is just using medication to make a ridiculous profit!
I've been trying to get a specialty drug for 3 months now. Every time I call or the doctor's calls, we are told something different. I've been told that the preauthorization was cancelled, it was expired, and that it wasn't received. I call my doctor, they call, and are told something completely different. I was actually hung up on this morning while asking for the rude lady's name, and when I called back, the very nice gentleman apologized and said that he couldn't tell who it was because they didn't leave any kind of note in my file. Doctor called, and still no resolution.
I ordered a $1,261.00 a month medication. I was forced to use a mail order pharmacy because of my insurance. After my Doctor sent 4 prescriptions, and Caremark claimed they never received them even though I could see copies of them uploaded into my online portal. They finally tried to process one, they then did not process the billing until two days after it shipped out, so when I tried update the billing information, I could not touch it and was stuck with a $300 copay and I was told tough luck. However, I had called several times leading up to this and was told it was to soon to run the claim. I also, tried to transfer the prescription, at the prompting of one of their Reps advice and found out later this would have been pointless because the medicine would have already shipped. So needless to say I will no longer be using their services, and am appalled at the lack of human decency. There was not even an apology, or an offer to resolve the matter.
Slow to process orders and website is hard to navigate. Took a week to process order after it was received
I have had nothing but issues with CVS Caremark. It started with their co-pay for the one prescription I have. Previous plan: co-pay $30 month. CVS: $550 unless I get 90 days by mail than $440 for three months. OK. Then they send me a message to have my doctor call me because the co-pay is high. She did but they had no idea why she was calling. They could have just asked me to talk with her about alternatives but instead it cost me money for my doctor to try to resolve the issue they couldn't explain to her. Finally I stopped in to get a flu shot at Walgreens and they wouldn't cover it. There are no CVS pharmacies near me. Who charges for flu shots? You can get one at the supermarket! There are clearly about profit and not well being.
Caremark has given me headaches for a year now. I was perfectly happy getting my medications at Publix. Excellent service! My insurance company forced me to switch to Caremark/CVS. From day one, I have had problems. My dosages are consistently wrong even after my doctor sends in the prescription, and I was basically told today by Mailhandlers/ Aetna that I had no choice. They wouldn't pay for my meds if I didn't get my meds from them. So they have a monopoly now? I am so angry!
I Emailed my congressmen tonight. This is MY retirement and MY medical Insurance that i worked for. It is MY right to use whom I damn well please!
The CVA Caremark online order system quoted an estimated cost for my prescription as $0.00 and asked me to agree and submit my order. I did so and have a screen shot of the order. The prescription was delivered in the mail and inside was a receipt for $368.55 for the order that was estimated at $0.00. I have never opened the medicine and have tried for 2 months to return it for my money back. I have talked to 17 people at CVA Caremark and everyone says they understand but there is nothing they can do. CVS Caremark cannot even spell the words customer focus, let alone practice it. BTW, I filled the prescription with GoodRX for $31.00. ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER!
Ordered my refill of Skyrizi weeks ago to have it delivered yesterday (scheduled to take it today). Didn't receive anything on the delivery date and got a text that evening saying there was a problem with the order and it was on hold. When I called, the person told me there was an issue with the copay assistance card, but that it had been worked out and my medication would be delivered the next day. Didn't hear anything from them today until 5:30 in the evening, when I got the same text about a problem with the order. I called, and the person who I talked to (who was actually super sweet and helpful) explained that the kind of medication I was on had been discontinued, and they had switched from 2 syringes to just 1. Meaning that I needed a whole new prescription and pre-authorization. They told me this on Friday evening, the day I needed to take my medication, after my doctors office was closed and wouldn't open until Monday. I was lied to throughout the entire process and wasn't told what was actually going on until it was too late for me to do anything. How was I even able to order a medication that was discontinued? Absolutely ridiculous and now I have to wait for the whole process of pre-authorization and shipping to get my medication that I needed to have had already.
Or being forced to use. Held hostage via pharmacy's by idiots who lie to me every time I call. God bless ADT for forcing us to use such a $#*!ty company, hope there kick back in all of this is worth the dissatisfaction of there employees.
I have two prescriptions which are brand specific. I have tried generic of these and they do not work for me. EVERY time I refill prescription, generic is sent and when I contact CVS Caremark, they will look back in my file and see that it says brand specific. Oh my bad, not sure how that happened, I apologize, etc... in the meantime, it may take 6 weeks to finally get the prescription filled correctly. This is even when I am refilling an existing prescription that may 3 refills left and instead of sending the prescription / brand specific, they will substitute generic.
If I could use generic, I would gladly do so AND I would do at local Walgreen's to avoid the hassle of this CVS-Caremark. The customer service people are condescending and LIE. They will say my prescription does not say brand specific when it does, they will my prescription expired when it clearly has not. Each time I call, I am usually on the phone for more than an hour. I explain the situation to the first person, they look at file then say I am going to transfer you to resolution team or Senior Team person, so I tell my situation again to that person. They will usually put me on an extended hold, then come back and tell me they need to transfer me to Pharmacist... another long hold. When I finally outlast them, they will tell me they are going to send me brand specific and a postage paid envelope to return the generic medicine to them. Usually I have to call yet again to get the ball rolling...
It is sooooo frustrating but the savings for these two prescriptions is the only reason I deal with the inept, incompetent, inefficient company. They are the worst! They manage to bungle my prescription each time I refill. It is mind blowing the aggravation this company causes me.
If my company did not have us locked into CVS I would be getting my medication else where. Not one person has a clue what's going on there this includes Billing and Customer Service. Avoid this company if you can. Going to my HR see if I can opt out in anyway.
I have been taking a prescription for the past 23 years, no problems. We switched insurance companies September 1st to this joke for insurance. I have spent 3 hours on the phone with them trying to get a full 30 days of my scrip filled! They are only allowing 1 week at a time, maxing at 2 weeks! Still trying to get it sorted out. Horrible, horrible insurance. Avoid at all costs!
Every time I submit a reimbursement for approved medication I have to call 30 days later to inquire and they never have any idea of what I am taking about. They will pay one prescription and then refuse the same one with a higher amount of medication. Everything is a fight and they lack in explanations so everything requires a call which then again they have no clue what you are talking about. I am on hold more then I am actually speaking with someone. They love the money they get from the employers and employees that they insure but they sure do hate to reimburse funds for medication that they approved.
Received an envelope without medication which the USPS had repeatedly stamped "received without contents". CVS Caremark refuses to replace my medication saying "we have a tracking number". So they use up my last refill and refuse to replace this. Told me I need to call my Doctor and ask for a new prescription. Meanwhile I am out of my meds in 3 days. This place is appalling! Will NEVER use them again. Going back to my local pharmacy. Do not trust this place.
I only had 3 anastrozole pills left and I called and they had it at my door in 2 days. Unbelievable!
We have the best health coverage using anthem BlueCross/BlueShield PPO but we change medication providers every year, This year we used CVS Caremark they are the worst we have ever used they refuse to pay for almost any medication for the normal dosage, I never had an issue for any medications by previous providers. Now even generics require prior authorization which is never approved so I've ended up paying the whole cost using good scripts discounts it's so frustrating but I can't drop my prescription coverage without losing everything because it's all in a package but be warned stay clear of CVS Care mark at all cost if you have another option.
Answer: Unfortunately, my health insurance provider switched from Express Scripts to CVS Caremark. This would not be my choice!
Answer: I could reach customer service however they do not provide assistance. Unless you request a senior member it's a waist of time.
