Boost Mobile is horrible. I've overlooked the spotty coverage for years since I was paying only $30 for 5Gb of data a month. Lately my phone has been angry, so I decided to get a new one. I bought it from the Boost Mobile website to assure it would work with my plan. I got it 8 days ago. I left it on my porch for a few days due to covid concerns. When I went to swap the phones on the website, it told me I would have to change my plan. It would have to start paying $50 a month to use this phone. When I called boost mobile and pressed buttons for over 20 minutes trying to get to a live person, I ask to return the phone. I was told the phone needs to be returned within 10 days. I called on day 8, but apparently they include the days it takes for them to ship it, so I was at day 13. They said there is no way they could take the phone back. I have never heard of any company including the time they take to ship out an item counting towards the customer's time to return it. I bought it through Boost Mobile to make sure it would work with my phone. I could have bought it from amazon for less and had 30 days to return it. I have been with boost mobile for over 10 years. I am so upset by their FU attitude that I will be changing phone companies. Obviously Boost Mobile has become absolute crap since it switched from Sprint to Dish owning them.

Their service stopped working where we lived so we went in for help they told us to move that was their answer. So today tried to port numbers one went fine the other number which I had for years they woukd not give up they went so far as to say sprint was trying to port it we had not been to sprint and had only been to cricket therefore they admitted they ported out the number to themselves since they are still working with sprint themselves then they said no you ported it back in november to a company called envoy. Who the heck are they and why if the number got ported am I still using it on your service again fraud and lies. Anyway long story short we never got the number we had to by the phone since we couldn't port and loose our number. Though they had ported the number over themselves just fine a few years ago from Verizon. Anyway don't use boost ever since merger customer service sucks they won't give your number back. Its crap. Service has went down hill terribly and I used to be a customer of theirs for years and I will never go back.

Trust a crook first!

Boost CLAIMS to have policies, but they're basically unwritten and they claim what amounts to implied consent. But if they don't tell you about it, how can it be consent in any form?

I've had Boost Mobile since 2007 and they used to be good! They sold out to Dish and then they changed. They told me my phones needed to be upgraded with new Sim cards to go to 5g. After 3 visits to the Boost Store and trying over 7 Sim cards the phones still wouldn't work. They told me for a month that my phones were compatible with 5g but they lied.
Finally after my old Sim cards stopped working I was forced to buy new phones when my phones were not that old. The customer service is a joke both at the stores and calling them is even worse. My new phones worked good for about a week on 5g but then they lost all service. I called them and visited the store about a dozen times but they could care less. I had zero service for 12 days but on the phone they said there was no tower problems while the store said that 2 towers were down. I guess that's because their customer service agents that answer your calls are in Peru! I called them about getting credit for the 12 days and they insisted that the towers were never down. Really even though the local Boost Store said the towers were down. Way to go Boost! The Boost Store said there's nothing they can do and so does customer service. Sad to see a once good cell phone company turned into a sorry company who could care less about their customers. They only care about making money so they can pay for all those jobs in Peru! Hopefully this review will warn people about how little some companies care about their customers!

Canceling my service
February 9, 2024

I have been trying since Christmas to upgrade my phone. I have called several time and had several tickets put in as well as emailing this address for assistance with no response. I keep getting the error message attached and the price of the phone keeps climbing. I have been a customer for about a year I have 2 lines that I pay for and wanting a 3rd, but my Daughters phone has been saying no Sim for several months, after we pay the bill it works for a couple days then quits. I upgraded her yesterday from an iphone8 to an 11. She was supposed to get a credit for more than 1 month, but was only given 1 month. Normally we are so happy with boost, but if I cannot do something as simple as upgrading, talk, pay, or get a resolution in a timely manner, I need to just cancel my lines. I just wanted to reach out one more time before doing so, because things have been ok till now.
I have tried 4 differn cards, boost says its there system. The upgrade price online is 59.99$ or 71.58$ with protection at check out and in store the phone it's 150$.
Even after all that I called back was asked my issue 5 time for everyone to suggest thesame old same. I'm done with boost!

Let's start at the price for the plans and you get half the service you pay for, 3 days after I pay the bill I'm out of data, how is that on the highest plan they have? If you buy more data, it runs faster than the data on the plan, BOOST MOBILE DOES NOT STAND TO THE ADS THEY CLAIM...!
BOOST MOBILE STOLE 3 GIGS OF DATA AND ADVISED ME TOO PAY FOR MORE OF I WANTED DATA...
No way I used 3gigs of hotspot overnight in my sleep with my phone powered off...
Boost mobile are liars and thieves...
I wouldn't ever recommend boost mobile to anyone...!

The Worst
November 16, 2022

I signed up on July 23. Had to go to a boost mobile store to activate as alone it was impossible. On August 31 service cut off as I was driving to a job interview so no directions, arrived 15 minutes late, did not get the job. Three more trips to the store, 3 new sim cards, still nothing. Went through online customer service no help. Called 1-866 number and the system did not recognize the phone number I brought to them which was tied to my job and security verification. Caught in circular computer loop so presses 0 a dozen times to speak with a human. After 42 minutes was told that I had to call back from a landline. Called back from a landline and after 45 minutes was told to go to a store. Asked for potal pin to leave and was told that was not a possibility so insisted upon transfer to supervisor. After 55 minutes supervisor put me on hold. After 105 minutes, different person came back claiming to have the ability to fix things, After 128 minutes and much insistence was given portal pin and ability to leave boost after weeks of no service and a phone that sometimes worked as a phone but no internet service.

I tried to Boost Up through the site and my Dashboard was not showing the installment options nor the Boost Up price and thus, I had to call and make my purchase via the phone representative. Once the order was placed, there was supposed to be a e-signature link on my Dashboard so I could sign the agreement but it wasn't there. When I called and chatted with Customer Support, I was told I would need to go to the local store and sign it there... but that's incorrect as they have the same access to my Dashboard as I do and did not see any link.

A case was open for them to look into why I did not initially receive the email nor the link on my Dashboard and after several hours, I did get the email with the link. However, the link did not work since my Boost Up agreement isn't being reflected on my Dashboard.

I have spent several hours and 2-days trying to get this resolved so I can sign the agreement and have my phone sent out... since the order has been placed and, I've already paid for the new phone.

I find it totally unacceptable that they are unable to provide me with a paper agreement to print and sign and, the fact that they are unable to figure out why my Dashboard isn't working!

Just yesterday ended my first 90 day transferred term for pay-as-you-go two phone plans. Disaster! Checked a day before and boost page said I have enough balance money ($350+), no need to pay. Then a day later the only email arrives for just one phone account saying your balance is $0. Surprise! VMobile never did this dirty stuff. You could miss a payment for a million reasons and they would not touch your balance. Not boost. They grabbed money from my both account totaling over $700 of balance. I called them 3 times. Everytime, CSR would say "Hold on, I will check something" and my phone call would be dropped. Basically, it's all my fault as they say. Their communication on all levels - NON-EXISTENT! Horrible! When you call them, they steer you away from actual live person, and those people are useless, same as answering machine. So, boost pocketed my money (oh, yes, hopefully you know something about accounting and accounts payable/receivable) that I had with Virgin Mobile for over 10 years or more. They pocketed over $700 just from me, but how many more got scammed by this VM to Boost transfer? Canceled one phone account now with $0, looking for another service with some "honest" provider if they still exist.

Maybe I missed the memo, but I always thought that when you call a company's Customer Support line, somewhere among the many automated voice prompts you usually have to weed through, you'll find something like "If you wish to speak to a representative, press '0' ". Not here, though, and even one of their reps confirmed with me via an on-line communication they they do not have that option. WHAT? What genius thought that was a good idea? Isn't being able to actually talk to someone a very basic part of customer support?

And then there's the support itself. I've been trying to buy a new phone via the web site for the last couple of days, and despite everything confirmed as AOK by my bank, it keeps getting declined, apparently on Boost Mobile's side. The rep I spoke to -- after innumerable tries -- (a) tried to process the order himself, but couldn't (no surprise), (b) didn't know why it wasn't processing (not helpful news at all), (c) could not transfer me anyone else (Hey, folks! There are these things called support tiers, and escalations.), and (d) advised me to call back and speak to a different rep. Why another rep would be able to do something he could not, was something he could not explain.

The chances of me still being a customer by the end of this week are fading rapidly.

My 1 year was up with Boost Mobile so I decided to go with Mint Mobile. I transferred my number to them, but in order to transfer I needed my account number from Boost. I spent all day constantly being transferred from one agent to another and finally got a supervisor in my chat to give me my account number. And once they did, I no longer had service with them. Which meant I could no longer make calls.
I had to go to a Boost Mobile store and beg them to use theirs. They are independently run stores and do not offer customer service. After being on hold for a half an hour, I finally got a supervisor on the line. She said she couldn't do it immediately because she had to send my information to another office that dealt with transferring accounts. She also told me she would definitely be sending me an email with instructions on how to do the transfer. So far, nothing. So being a vet, I have to go to a vet service center to contact them again. In the meantime, I plan on contacting the BBB.
This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I recommend everyone stay far away from this company.
