The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

Worse experience ever. Never use bookin.com. They take your money but don't care people. I trusted them and thought I was booking at a hotel, but ended up renting at a place called Residenza lago di Lugano in Switzerland. They took my money and made me cancel. Then booking.com did nothing saying it was their policy to keep the money if I was not ok about the place. Never trust Booking.com my only advise.
I had a property cancel my reservations hours after I was suppose to check-in. Booking.com confirmed I could find accommodations on my own after they couldn't locate a new place. Finally at midnight, I was able to book a place. I followed up to get reimbursed by booking.com only for them to say I wasn't eligible to get reimbursed. I'm out over $2,000, because they didn't refund me for the initial reservation. Never trust them.
Please don't use booking.com and book with the hotel direct! It's cheaper usually anyway. You can use booking.com to find available hotels and check reviews but then go to the hotel's website direct! Don't make my mistake.
I booked a hotel yesterday and booking.com said children of any age welcome. Then on agoda I noticed it said only 18+. I called the hotel and they said they won't take children under 12 so please cancel and we won't charge you anything. I have since been back and forth with booking.com and they are flat out refusing to cancel on my behalf. I want to cancel, the hotel wants me to cancel, but booking.com are being impossible.
I pre-paid 4 nights at the Hampton Inn, a Hilton property through Bookings.com for over $1000. Their website said then and says now "Free Cancellation, Most Rooms". I had to cancel two weeks ahead of time because of a serious medical emergency. They wouldn't refund any of my $1000. Since I cancelled, they can also re-rent my room which means they are doubly enriched. This is a scam. My confirmation number was *******925.
! BEWARE! IF I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE 5 STARS... I WOULD!
Sure that app is easy to use and has some seemingly good deals... at least you thin so until you get to the hotel. WHAT A NIGHTMARE
First, the hotel says we don't have a reservation for you then they say oh yeah we do it's booked for tomorrow though so if you want to stay tonight it's literally 2X the price of your entire stay just for tonight. Then I spend hours 2 hours at 10 PM on the phone with a CSR who continues to tell me there is nothing they can do and BTW there are NO refunds even though we see the problem was on our end. I spend the entire next week on the phone multiple times for hours waiting on hold for someone to "get this corrected" by a supervisor only to be HUNG UP ON.
Word to the WISE... BEWARE!
P.S. The hotel was a DUMP... long story short I paid about $400 to not stay in a hotel for a night and $700 (<--400 + 300) to have somewhere to sleep. RIDICULOUS
I booked a one-night stay with a hotel using booking.com

I made a reservation on Booking.com when i went to the hotel they said there was no reservation and later they changed the story saying is for a diffrent day haha assuming they canceled because i paid trough Boking.com ibpaid again the guy working at the hotel EZ Motel in Phoenix Az told me that he was going to cancel the reservation but guess what i ended up paying twice so Booking and EZ Motel Phoenix is an Scam don't go there they didn't give me my money back how can you pay double for the same room same night? Scam Scam Scam
Used my flexible ticket to rebook a new flight. Virtually impossible. Had to move it 3 months later. Still paid for the difference in price but now the luggage price is not included and flexibility is waved. CS- they NEVER follow up, can't be trusted, they work from India- different culture and expectations, half the time they don't understand the issue. Frustrating.
I booked a room through this site and had to cancel less than 48 hours later (and still well over two weeks before my planned check-in date). They then informed me that the reservation was non-refundable. They gave me a form response that they would "reach out" to the property. I don't believe they ever did. When I called the number for the property (which is a HIlton property) I just got their central reservations desk which claimed to have no record of the confirmation number provided by Booking.com. I spent about and hour on the phone with them but could get nowhere. Booking.com says the resolution decision is up to the hotel; Hilton says it's up to Booking.com. So it's a total runaround. As I write this it's now two weeks after my attempted cancellation and the site is still behaving as if I never cancelled, including spamming me with "offers" for activities in the Bay Area. Bottom line: use this site to locate a property if you think it will help but do NOT book with them. I recommend you book directly with the property instead.
The last three times we used them, there has been an issue. Either with the accommodations or with mis-information that has resulted in EXTREME hardship during my stay. They did nothing to resolve either time. Will never use again.
Bookingl.com refused to honor my purchase and did not provide the car I paid for and rented and they refused to refund the money I paid for.
Useless, no customer care. We will find whats better with time u will be no more.
I think you as a team is too arrogant.
Biggest sham of all…. Book a room at the radison In Milwaukee for a concert we showed up to check in and we were informed there was no booking. They are less then helpful speaking to them. Save yourself the grief and avoid this SCAM!
We have used booking.com for several years, but I can no longer recommend them. We were quoted a room with a genius discount. The web site gave us the full price for the room and we accepted it. The price we were billed, however, did not include the discount. We contacted customer service - and after being transferred to 3 or 4 representatives - over the course of several hours - we were told that they were under no obligation to honor the quoted price. They also refused to give us an email to contact any company official. It feels like a bait and switch.
I spoke with 2 different men that was not from the United States and they was very rude. I wasnt able to get my money back because I was not able to leave work to get a pre paid card. It was almost like they threatened me if I don't leave work I cant get the refund. They talked to me like the scam people from overseas talk to you I will never use them again.
Very poor outcome and service. Have used booking.com for many years. Left me unable to get into my room and wasted over a hour on the phone to a very unhelpful booking.com advisor. Wasted over a hour on the phone to them and in the end the hotel offered to ensure they would cancel the booking.com reservation and get us in the hotel at a discount. All booking.com did was keep blaming the property but they were able to book it all straight away and get us in a room. What's the point in your service. Didn't offer any kind of resolution or any sympthany in the time wasted on the phone to your advisor which made me late for a wedding. Next time I will just use your website to find a hotel and then book directly with that hotel, that way I won't have to waste my time speaking to none helpful advisor at booking.com.
I recently booked a room with booking.com for Alabama. I got confirmation and they collected payment. I drove 5 1/2 hours and got there after midnight. Booking.com said the lobby stayed open 24 hours. They were closed, when I called Booking.com said they were not responsible for not having anywhere to stay. The motel said they weren't responsible for booking.com. I got the bad end and no one was held responsible.
I had used booking.com a few times in the past for hotels and even needed to cancel or change reservations and had no problems. But I booked a flight the other day, then realized it was not going to work, so took advantage of the very clear promise that I could cancel in 24 hours. I called, was transferred, was put on hold--forever until phone battery died. Tried again today. Was told a whole lot of gibberish (BS) and then that my request would be sent to the "Support Team." That's all. I was promised a call back or response. Nothing at all. If I have to, I will take this to small claims court and I won't let up. Advertising 24 cancellation is fraudulent, if they don't honor it. But then when I see today that the company doing the booking is in Miami, of course. Florida is filled with cheats. I would never, every under any circumstances book with them again. Go straight to the airline or hotel or forget it. I will be cancelling a hotel I booked.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: I don't know why you're even using this site Stephanie. Their after sales is disgusting! Recommend travel Republic. Great prices and options
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: NOT BOOKING.CON
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
