There is a reason why they have 1 star. In my opinion it should be zero stars. This company is ran my crooks and fraudsters. They will tell you lies and give you a runaround to avoid giving you a refund. God forbid you need to speak with someone, they never pick up the phone. There is a 99.9% chance that you will regret using them and you're better off going directly through hotels booking pages. You've been warned
Booking.com Taxi booking service will not wait if your flight is late, delayed or cancelled.
I recently miss a connecting flight into Paris CDG due to late arriving international flight into Frankfurt. As soon as I realized the situation I directly contacted the driver. He replied that he would no wait and I'd have to book another taxi at additional fare.
Booking.com will not refund my fare.
So, if you ever think the same thing might happen to you, don't pay for this service in advance. Lesson learned!
I've been booking with this service for a long time and I've always had a positive experience. I like the sales periods and opportunities to live in a 5-star hotel at a price of 3 stars. The variety is amazing. The reviews are available, so it's always easy to find out what this place is really like. I've never had any cancellation problems or frozen sum issues. So I don't really understand other people complaining. I guess there are a lot of different accommodation options out there and you can find a lot of poor places and hosts to live with, but that's not my case. So I give 5 stars without any further thinking.

The site is misleading says you won't be charged but never put your card details because the small prints says otherwise.
I was charged the price of a night when I cancelled 10 min later! A total rip off when you call a hotel direct this never ever happens!

Booking.com claims to beat the standard prices of a room, I actually got charged more than the prices quoted on their website. What they claimed to be a four star hotel with free wifi, was actually a two star hostel with no wifi at all. After reading the reviews I am now worried about money being taken from my account, I don't know how to stop this happening :(
My flight times were changed with a flight booked for nov 2023 the return leg didn't fit with my onward travel plans so it was cancelled and over two months I've been waiting for a refund I just get a stock answer saying their waiting for the airline to refund me but my contract was with booking.com so they should refund me I've since made a charge back on my card but still waiting
I've used this company on many occasions and spent a lot of money with them but I won't use them in the future avoid them at all costs
Booking.com really must look into what your customers review because some hotel in your list are really horrible with their customers service and how they treated their guess. I'm one of the victim too and the hotel push all responsible to booking.com. If you see my review and you are interested to know what's really happened to us, I will be looking forward of your email. If not I think there's no point for us to use your platform in future as we don't feel secure any more. I wrote to your customer service today but there's no reply too... very disappointed!
Very large European travel booking site; very easy to use; with the great advantage that it offers all the usual accommodation options but also quite a number of smaller and special options - recommended
I am surprised to read about so many bad user experiences with Booking. Either I am the only customer who never had any issues with Booking or, and that is more likely, satisfied customers just don't invest any time in writing a good review.
I have used Booking over the last five years several times a year and I can't really remember that I have ever had an issue. It is easy to use, offers fantastic prices. Don't know what else to say.
A technical error with their booking status portal meant that it misrepresented the status of my booking. This misrepresentation lost me £75. Booking.com admit the error in their portal but not interested in refunding my lost money. Very unfair and unscrupulous. Basically, thieving bar stewards. Obviously they just don't care, despite me having placed 100+ bookings through them. Good riddance to their rubbish customer care practices.
I trust them and use this website for a long time. They do provide good discounts on hotels and client service, although sometimes when you address them an issue the official procedures consume a lot of time and are so annoying. Would wish them to personalize their business more towards their visitors, not hotels.
Please be careful if booking with these people - I would suggest you look at the Venue / Flight / Trip that you want and then phone them direct - you will have more protection. Booking.com customer service is next to useless if something is not right or cancelled. You will struggle to get any sense from the agents and spend hours and hours trying to resolve something. A Flight that I booked was cancelled by the airline - The Airline refunded booking.com but Booking.com are refusing to refund me for the cancelled trip even though it is in their own terms and conditions to refund immediately.
I made a booking for a hotel through Booking.com. Everything was fine as far as the hotel was concerned; my payment processed, they had availability, etc. But Booking.com started sending me bizarre messages about my card being declined and needing to contact the hotel within 6 hours or my booking would be cancelled. As strange and unprofessional as this was, it was made worse by Booking.com having ZERO customer service functionality. There's no way to contact them, period, to address any issue you may have.
Booking.com is an awful organization that takes money from people when circumstances out of their control come up. I will never book with this organization again. It's a fraud and money grab that should be shut down. DO NOT BOTHER! I tried to cancel my reservation that I paid over 700.00 for two nights and was only refunded 228.00. I get having to pay a fee, but pay a fee of over 500.00 is absolute robbery.
Booking.com is a horrible website that no one should use! We had nothing but problems due to this third party agency who is there to make the customer experience better. To start with the hotel could not locate our reservation, so much time was spent online with Booking.com customer service reps. When we checked into our "double bed" room with 3 occupants we walked into a king. Another party in our group with four adults that also needed and indicated a "double bed" room was then placed into a king. The hotel indicated that because of booking.com's website we could not get double rooms. That even though the site specifically asks what room type, the customer ultimately has no choice in which rooms they get. In a sold out hotel after a baseball game, not many accommodations could be made. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! Spend the extra 10 dollars and book direct with your hotels. It will save you in the long run
I booked 2 months in advance in Verona Italy and come to see they changed my hotel without permission. I am traveling from the US won't be there till sept 22. I made my reservation in old town and they put us away 3 miles. Being handicap not easy to get around. I had originally got a hotel with cancellation and breakfast and this new hotel nothing. So we're stuck there. So beware of booking. Com.
I stayed at the Radisson blue in London and experienced such excellent and exceptional service from Elvis at the front desk. Though my flight came in early and the check in was at 3pm, Elvis was understanding, friendly and compassionate. He ensued a room was available right away. He also inquired about anything else I needed. Each time I passed through the reception area, he always made eye contact and waved no matter how busy he was. He was very helpful with exceptional knowledge of the area and sites that may be of interest to me. I am beyond grateful for the extra human touch provided by this agent. When you visit this hotel, make sure you ask for Elvis. He will certainly add a great spice to your time!
Beware of this company charging you twice for your reservation. Then there customer service denied them doing this. I had all the proof with my credit card and they wanted more proof. I would never ever use them.
I advertised my property on this site a month ago and I am still waiting for the payment. They have lot of issues in their booking system. One of the worst platform to advertise your property. Customer service is really bad. Every time I call, people from different countries pick up the phone who have no idea what they are talking about. They never give you the contact number of the finance department and finance department takes a long time to respond if you have any payment issues. Absolutely disgusted by their behavior. Never advertise your property on this dodgy website.
I purchased a 7 day stay at L'baurge in Lake Charles the week of 4/14/24. I was told that this was paid in full, only to find out that I still owed $167.00 for resort fees when I registered at the hotel. You can not

Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.

When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
