I stayed at Barmston beach. Park Dean, I had a beautiful caravan great kitchen with big fridge and freezer spacious living room may only complaint would be that the double mattress had seen better days was sprung, I was in Rowan Vale, 4. I must point out that I stayed there mon'17th, may till 21st, 2021. But until now had no Internet, so maybe the mattress has been sorted out the living room with 32inc dvd combo flatscreen & proper so
Sofa & separate chairs had a door separating the kitchen & the kitchen also had a separating door from the bed rooms one with two single beds and the double with on suite & the bathroom with bath&shower, more like I home than a caravan facilities were very good & it's a five minute walk to the beach at the back of the park, you can walk along the beach to Bridlington in about an hour a lovely walk that brings you to bridlington Spar, I recommend that you can safe money on meals if you don't bring your own food to cookby using the Blackbull Pub in the village about 8-10, walk away from the park. Much cheaper for family meals and very friendly staff, As are the staff at the park I can't fault them!, Nice quiet place during my stay, Looking forward to using Barmston Beach Holiday Park Again!
I depended on the star rating to book a hotel in Virden, Manitoba through booking.com.
The star rating was 3; when I arrived and stayed there, it was obvious that it was a 1 to 2 star hotel with a gravel parking lot full of potholes, the front window of the room had a hole in it patched with peeling transparent yellowing tape, the towels were blue (generally easier to see if white towels are clean), the room decor was 1950's or 60's, etc. The 'breakfast' consisted of a loaf of bread laying on a table, with some boxes of cereal, paper bowls, and a jug of milk. I didn't bother.
I relied on 4 things to make my booking at booking.com.
1) The star rating which I assume is going to be generally accurate plus or minus 1/2 a star rating
2) The reviews from previous customers
3) The price
4) The photos (which are often misleading)
So I didn't expect the Taj Mahal, but I thought that a 3 star rating would be reasonably accurate and so I risked booking through booking.com
NEVER AGAIN.
My experience with customer service showed me that all they are permitted to do is mouth platitudes, and parrot the party line.
"The star rating is supplied by the hotel owner, sir"
O. K. But hotwire asks me if the star rating is too high, too low, or just right. Could you do that in future?
"The star rating is supplied by the hotel owner, sir... you should have relied on the guest reviews, not the star rating'
Yes but could you post information to that effect beside the star rating? Something like 'the star rating is supplied by the hotel owner, and booking.com does not verify whether this information is correct or not'.
"The star rating is supplied by the hotel owner, sir"
THANKS. I GIVE UP AND WILL NEVER USE YOUR SERVICE AGAIN.
Thank you sir. Have a nice day.
Booking.com are scamers. They just want your debit number then they got your money, you can't cancel
I had a question about a booking, couldn't find a way to speak to them by phone. I don't think anyone should use such a service!
Simple and great booking possibility! Found something for the last minute and wasn't disappointed. The prices are great too.
Beware if this company. NO refunds if a reservation is canceled. Total rip-off. Customer Service is also a farce.
I can't be mad at the property. They double booked, but it happens. I get that. They offered me a different place and it wouldn't work for me. I rejected it. I figured we could work something out.
I reached our to booking.com about the situation and attempted to find a resolution. I figured it'd take a day, maybe an hour, whatever, to find out some kind of middle ground. They double booked, but they did say they wanted money up front. I booked this 20 minutes ago, but the doorman at the location told me every facet of the situation (Thank you, sir. I wish I could review how awesome you were.) I figured there'd be some cancelation fee, but I hoped that Booking.com would help me find one that was slightly reduced.
Nope. Within 5 minutes of me asking to cancel, Booking.com returned by saying that the company said no. They offered me a waiver for a property in the future, but that's it.
What is the point of using a website like booking.com if they will do nothing to protect me in situations like this? Again, I could understand being told I'd have to pay a fee. Hell, I'd understand if they took a day and there was nothing they could do.
Less than 5 minutes. Less than 5 minutes and they told.me they couldn't do anything. They reached out, the dude said no, and they said "We tried!'
I just figured I'd use Booking.com cuz stuff like this happens. Instead of aiding in a resolution, they just let the other side do whatever they wanted. If that's all the help.i was gonna get, I should have skipped the middle man and just booked with them myself.
It's a useless website. They don't care about you as a customer, they just want you to look at the ads.
A couple of days ago I booked a hotel in Maine online trough this company and got a confirmation number for my stay, I then had to speak to the hotel about something so I called and The hotel told me that they could not find my reservation! That made me really nervous so I called booking. Com again and explained everything. The rep could barely speak English ( I'm sure that their reps are based out if India) and as I started to inform him about the problem he intentionally hung up on me, in which made me even more nervous. So I called again and got another Hindu speaking rep in which she said that her name was Jane, and again I started to explain the problem to her and I demanded that she call the hotel while I was in hold to see what is going on, so she did and she came back on the phone telling me that we needed to cancel the reservation and rebook it because if server problems! She then told me that I had to pay 1,000.00 upfront and the rest when we checked out of the hotel. She then proceeded to tell me that right when I called that Booking.com was having a promotion and that I could get everything, including taxes and fees and lunch breakfast and dinner for 2500. 00 opposed to the 3175. 00 that I had previously booked, but in order to do that I had to download an app and that she would walk me through it, so I explained to her why would I need to do that? She worked for the company shouldn't she have that info already? She then was getting very short with me because I was questioning her, and she wanted to book my trip in a hurry! I then told her that I felt these were all signs of a scam! And then she got very nervous and wanted to get off the phone. I would NOT trust this company at all! I could just imagine if we would of went all the way to Maine to find out that we had jo reservations! The hell with this company and their reps too! Beware!
They take your money from your account even if you cancel, after they make almost imposible to contact them to return your money or contact them
If you use this link and spend 50$ on accommodation we both earn 25$. Your welcome:)

Cancel days before my trip told them had cars problems canceled but months has pass no refund and cannot get nobody on phone are email me back
I suggest you use another travel company, booking. Com acts like they care, then dissappear with no response
I have booked several hotels with booking.com. I have had two very unpleasant experiences with them recently.
1) I booked a last minute hotel in NY and was traveling on a red-eye. I get an email (assuming while I was flying) as soon as i land from booking that they canceled my reservation because the hotel advertised the incorrect price. I called them trying to get the reservation back, but they said I can only get the reservation back if I pay the higher price. Then they called the hotel to see if i can get the lower price and said they can meet in the middle. The middle was more like $50 less than the higher price, which was around $400 more than what i paid. Booking.com did not help me at all to get another reservation. I asked for them to be responsible for the difference and all they did was blame the hotel. So, i was stuck in NY without a reservation and had to book a hotel that was $200 less the day before.
2) I booked a small boutique hotel in Tulum and then get an email from the hotel that I would have to switch rooms mid-way. There was no fine print during the time of booking. So i told the hotel I did not want and I rather cancel (the day of booking). The hotel said that because of their cancellation policy they cannot without charging the entire reservation even though they said that they understood it was an inconvenience to switch rooms. So I try to cancel and still in two weeks they did not cancel the room. I called booking.com to resolved this and again they blame the hotel and said that they have no responsibility in the hotel policies (which i understand, but they should work with their clients). The lady i spoke to said "we are only an advertising agency" and something to the likes of (not in exact works). We don't have anything to do with the hotel. We are only a liaison between you and the hotel.
This makes me frustrated that booking.com takes no accountability for the hotels that they advertise. They get their commission and do not service the people that book at all. If the hotel is responsible for the reservations I rather go directly through the hotel. I don't see a reason for booking on booking.com going forward and will only use them to compare prices.
This is a continuation of my previous review about booking the Hotel Semiramis Poolside Hotel in Crete. We paid for this booking in advance. The hotel cancelled on us due to overbooking, we were offered two alternative hotels at no extra cost. We decided not to accept this offer because the alternatives looked very grotty and didn't include the halfboard that we originally booked. They told us that we could have a full refund for the cancelation of the hotel so we accepted this option and booked with Airbnb. They also agreed to a refund for the difference in price. We have only just received the refund for the difference in price but there are still no signs of a refund for the hotel. They keep asking me for the same information which they require for the refund, which I have provided them many times and still no refund. They expect our bank to refund us the hotel booking.
I think that they have a whole gang of people working at Booking.com and some selected hotels and banks, where they keep people's refunds and probably steal client's bookings, making it look like an overbooking problem. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY AND WITH THIS HOTEL
Booking.com recommended that I stay in a hotel that tuend out to have BLACK MOLD. ( OH YES I HAVE PICTURES) Emerald Hotel and Suites in Calgary, AB. BOOKING.COM ALLOWED this dirty establishment to be on their vending list. It is FULL OF BLACK MOLD. There was poop on the radiator along with a bunched up piece of toilet paper. Food on the air-conditioner. Hair on the bathroom floor. Poop on the toilet seat and down the stand. The worst was the amount of black mold. They tried to cover it up with a piece of plastic, which makes it a breeding ground becuase of the condensation that happens when steam is present. I have STAGE 2 CANCER AND BOOKING.COM RECOMMENDED THAT I STAY HERE FOR MY STAYCATION... Booking.com allowes this hotel to be a preferred VENDOR. Booking.com will NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. Their customer service said they never refund. I paid Booking.com my money. They in turn, pay the hotel. Booking.com owes me money and STOLE FROM ME. I never stayed at that hotel. I was there 20 minutes while I argued with the hotel about the conditions.
Do not use Booking.com. I have pictures to back this up IF anyone wants to see.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: I don't know why you're even using this site Stephanie. Their after sales is disgusting! Recommend travel Republic. Great prices and options
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: NOT BOOKING.CON
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
