The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

I have book a hotel in Orlando Florida Booking.com said NO PAYMENT NEED IT!
WRONG... THE HOTEL CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD
Had a booking cancelled ON THE DAY of the planned stay after I had confirmed my credit card details. I had booked months in advance as I anticipated high demand in the area due to a large concert. Checked with the property and Booking.com had effectively gazumped my booking with another at the booked out property. Property couldn't care less due to zero vacancies anyway and Booking.com was as helpful as a clam full of cold water. Managed to find another better, cheaper room closer to the venue I was attending anyway. The sooner Booking.com and other similar under performers go bust - the better!
Says you can cancel anytime but once you book theres no cancelling, and if you want to cancel theres an insane cancellation fee. It will say low rate booking no cancellation and you can't even change the date, do not use this website!
They seem to have the best deals but when you arrive at the hotel it's a disaster. My room was dirty with a lot of damages. When it came to getting a refund the Hotel refunded $85 but Booking.com charged me $165 a night. The Hotel seemed to not have any knowledge of why Booking.com was charging so much. It's all a game.
Made a reservation one day and cancelled the next. THeir email for the cancellation said I would not be charged. However, I was charged a 30% fee by Kees Vacation Rentals for cancelling. Booking.com said they have to go by the hotels policy and not their own policy!
Rip off.
I came for a holiday to Thailand to relax and Booking.com has ruined what it was supposed to be s nice and relaxed holiday. First I booked in an island with no ATMs and received a confirmation email from Booking.com that my accommodation was paid so I arrived in the island with no cash money to pay for the hotel and when I arrived in the island the property has not received any payment. Thanks the owner was understanding and knew this common problem with booking.com so he helped me nut I could have been left sleeping outside and getting malaria mosquito bites because booking.com did not send the right information. When I called customer support to report my issue there was a very unpleasant lady on the phone. They ruined one day of my holiday. I traveled to other island and had booked a resort in a beach that I love and when I arrived the resort is in a different beach. When I arrived in the resort the property is located quite far from the location and booking. Com support does nothing about it at all. Never book with this site. They have spoiled what it was supposed to be a nice and relaxed holiday and now I am stuck in a horrible place where I did not want to be cause the company did a mistake. I am not rich and cannot take holidays that often and this company has only spoiled what it was supposed to be a beautiful holiday.
You clowns owe me money for canceling... you would have charged me if I was the one who flaked out of the contract... now I have had to pay quadruple the price to get a place in a location near my friends.
What are you going to do about this?

Booked two hotels with 85% excellent rating on bookin.com
Turned out to be max two stars and only becouse locatin was really good.
Bookin. Com requested photos, which we happened to take and we sent all of them.
3 weeks later and additinal requests for respond wele left un-answered.
I have been travelling for decades, without a single problem. I booked several rooms through book.com for the first time and have had nothing but trouble. Payment policies are outdated and difficult to control/keep track of. Credit card information got mixed up. Email communication was horrific. I will NEVER use this site again.
En el restaurant con desayuno beffet, en el Hilton Colon Quito, el capitan nos trato muy mal y no pudimos desayunar, el capital un Sr de baja estatura, muy maleducado
We had wonderful and thoughtful hospitality from Alison and Ross in their beautifully restored and gracious home, which is situated in a delightful garden with splendid views of the bay, plus it is super convenient to the shops. We certainly give the B and B full marks and can thoroughly recommend it.
First I got call from Apartment Owner saying the price I have booked is wrong and I need to pay $80 extra for my booking. This is so unprofessional. I told her that I will not accept this as my booking is done from booking.com and I don't deal with the owner directly.
Then I got email from booking.com for increase rate. This is completely disrespectful from company like booking.com. This is false advertising and it's completely illegal. As it's changing price after booking is made. Booking.com should push back to the apartment owner and say it was your fault and you have to allow booking for that price as it was advertised and booked at that rate.
I want to canceled my booking and booked with airbnb. Never book with booking.com again.
I booked a Singapore Parc Soveriegn hotel with my family. They charged extra in the beginning itself for my child of 8 years old. They even asked for the age of the kid and I provided that.
The deal was made including breakfast. There were no other clauses mentioned.
But when I landed in Hotel I had surprises. Hotel staff said that Booking.com has not paid them for breakfast. It is only for the stay with the child that too without any extra bed. Booking.com is a cheat company and I'd never deal with them and never recommend them to any.
I booked a hotel called Aloha pure nature in rishikesh. Totally got cheated... your site n the resort totally inappropriate. Please don't recommend such properties
Recently used booking.com for a trip to the Oregon coast. On booking.com it asked how many people were going to be traveling I told them three adults two children pushed go and it gave me a list of motels that fit my specifications. Paid for the room drove 5 hours checked into the motel went to the beach and around 8 that night the motel management called up to our room and asked how many people were in the room. I told him three adults and two children and they told me that they could not have that many people in the room and that I would need to pack up my stuff and leave cuz they could not accommodate me. They wouldn't refund my money call booking.com they can help me so now I was stuck at the beach with two kids on a Saturday night which just happened to be Saint Patrick's Day and a very busy Casino town on the beach. Needless to say we made the best of the trip but are out $300. I would not recommend using booking.com.
I have a villa next to Black sea coast and i posted it in Bookings.com. When i ave a problem with certain reservation there is no response from Bookings.com platform but whet it comes to their commission they do the impossible to find you and let you know that you have to pay them...! Customer service - 0, competence of the employers - 0. Definitely DO NOT LIST YOUR PROPERTIES IN THIS WEBSITE..
I was looking to book an apartment for a short term stay. Booking.com seemed easiest as it lists any whose owners decided to list there, rather than use a classified site. I had some questions that I wanted answered and booking.com says I need to contact the property owner. Booking.com would not provide a link or any information on the owner, saying that would be available after a booking was made or I can try to search the internet for them. Really? Not very helpful, they want me to make a non-refundable booking just so I can ask questions. NO THANK YOU, I WILL STICK TO REGULAR HOTELS AND BOOKING DIRECT WITH THEM!
This is a total scam, do not believe it for a second. They want your credit card number, act like you will get the lowest price, the problem is the hotel provider. The hotel provider has a different crediting system no refunds, sorry that is the way it is.
I called booking.com, leave message after message, no return calls. Please do not use, you will be very disappointed, I had to pay for the entire stay with no refund. I cancelled 6 days prior to check in. I learned that booking.com is a bs company do not trust their bs talk of the lowest guarantee.
Please do not use and stay away. They are totally rip off company.
I made a reservation with a hotel through booking.com on 2/24/18 for 2/24/18-2/25/18. I canceled the reservation the same day within less than 2 hours of booking it. I received confirmation from booking.com stating my reservation has been fully canceled and I will receive a full refund and that I did not need to contact the hotel for anything further. A few days go by and I show a charge from the hotel. I emailed booking.com asking when I should expect my refund. I didn't hear anything from them. I finally called on 3/05/18 and spoke with a rep by the name of Cindya? She was very nice and told me that the hotel is not issuing a refund because I was considered a "now show." I explained to her that I received an email from her company@ 6 pm stating my reservation was canceled and a refund will be issued. She spoke with the hotel and her supervisor about the matter and agreed to issue a refund to me. I sent her all of the needed information to her to get this completed. Once we are in the final steps the line is disconnected. I tried calling back but I could not get someone on the line since it takes FOREVER to speak with a rep. So I emailed the rep that I was speaking with through the chain we had going asking to send confirmation that I will be refunded. 2 more days go by and I have heard NOTHING from booking.com and the charge still remains on my account. I called again on 3/07/18 waited on hold to speak with a rep for over 20 minutes. I spoke with a different rep who did not tell me their name. I proceed to explain that I have already spoken to someone prior and they were supposed to get this handled for me. The rep went on stating I was a liar and that they would have never said or done that and continued to try to over talk me. I was fed up and requested a manager. I was put on hold for about 2 minutes and the line was disconnected again. I have yet to get a hold of someone at booking.com. I have filed a dispute with my bank about this. I have never had this experience with a traveling agency before and I will be sure to NEVER use boookin.com again.
Booked a hotel in Bangkok through Booking.com. Entered payment details to reserve the room but payed in cash when I arrived. Two days after leaving the hotel I was charged again. I would have let it go but it was £60 which is absolutely ridiculous. Contacted Booking.com and the man on the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful, saying that they can charge at any time... well that may be the case but NOT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID. Plus I highly doubt a hotel would just let us stay there for 2 days and leave without paying beforehand. They are scammers and I will not be using Booking.com again.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: I don't know why you're even using this site Stephanie. Their after sales is disgusting! Recommend travel Republic. Great prices and options
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: NOT BOOKING.CON
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
