The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

BOOKING.COM WILL NOT ISSUE REFUND... SAYS ITS THE HOTEL, BUT BOOKED THROUGH BOOKING.COM... DON'T BOOK WITH COMFORT INN AND SUITES... I WAS ON HOLD FOR 1 HOUR WITH NO RESULT... STILL CHARGED MY CARD... I BOOKED AND CANCELLED WITHIN 5 MIN. AND STILL NO REFUND ITS BEEN 3 WEEKS TO DATE. NEVER WILL I USE BOOKING.COM. ASH WAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, APPARENTLY SENIOR LINE WAS NO HELP EITHER FOR REFUND. COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED, NEVER USE BOOKING.COM, NEVER!
You were rude about the transfer to a supervisor stating it would be pointless and I feel as if you were completely insensitive to my situation we were in an unsafe area to start with and I hated being proposition by the normal patrons of the community to engage I sexual activities for various forms of drugs though the fact that it made my blood boil did in fact take away from the cold The cold outside was no where near as COLD as the pretentiousness that was tossed at ne by the booking agent that received my call secondary I am beyond disappointed and hurt by the fact that I was treated in such a manner by a cooperation that I have not only spent thousands with but had and yes I say had been a stock owner for... I dropped all my shares immediately... I will not be booking with you again unless some type effort to reconcile this incident is made and yes I understand that I don't owe me a dime but still I feel like in the position that you play I would have at least covered the night with a comped room I mean it's 100 dollar a night average what's that to a billion dollar a year operation... just sad with great exhaustion I conclude go **** yourselves booking.com
P.s.
Let me interject that the only reason that I was even in thus situation is because booking.com put their stamp of approval on a hotel or shall I say roach motel that not only took my money for me for my deposit which was $50 by saying that my payment was denied when in fact I have proof that my payment was removed for my card from the premises but call the cops on me after saying such and tried to have me removed from the property... where I remained outside with all my belongings looking pathetic might I add... after being told by the police that I should take them to claims court and there's nothing else that could be done for 8 hours standing in the freezing cold I then made the call to booking.com was shuffled around multiple times and finally was told to go f*** myself didn't care that I should have suffered an egregious pain or injury before they would comp me a room for the night which is just what I feel should be standard procedure in such situations I mean hell spend tons of money with them so what does it matter to them $100 might break the bank petty Betty my new name let's get ready to rumble see you on the next site booking.com
We used booking.com to book a room at studio 7 barker heights. I paid for the room immediately on booking.com web sight we arrived at the hotel to be told that no rooms were clean so we could not stay at the hotel. It has been over 2 weeks and I still don't have a refund
Booking.com will not call and their is NO contact info to call them directly.
Do not use this sight. It is a TOTAL SCAM
DO NOT BOOK ANY RESERVATIONS WITH THIS SITE! IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THE ALLOTED TIME AND THEY HAVE ALREADY CHARGED YOU, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK DIRECTLY FROM WHATEVER VENUE YOU ARE TRYING TO RESERVE! BOOKING.COM IS A FULL OF SCAMMERS!
THIS IS THE MOST FRAUDULENT APPLICATION EVER! SHOULD NOT GET EVEN ONE STAR! THEY STOLE £600 FROM ME, $#*!ING PIECE OF $#*!S! ALL THEY $#*!ING CARE ABOUT IS MONEY NOT HOW YOU ARE OR HOW YOU FEEL! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE BOOKING WITH THEM! HOTELS.COM IS A GREAT ALTERNATIVE!
Every time, I've had a problem with booking it took hours to resolve, and the resolution made absolutely no sense. While booking multiple hotels, my credit card was charged as Hotel without any indication of which hotel or confirmation number. The charges were completely different from what was quoted, and I understand there is an exchange rate issue, but I had no idea if the many hotels booked which ones they were referring to. Lastly, I guess I'm the only one that has ever had this problem. I put in a date and a hotel, and the reservation was finalized with a different date. I have always booked hotels with a cancellation option, it turns out the reservation had no cancellation option and I could not cancel even though I called booking 2 minutes after I made this error. Furthermore, I'm not even sure if it was me or booking.com website, as I am usually very organized when I am booking. It's hard to believe the 24 hr law of allowing you to cancel without any penalties is not being applied in this case or any case. https://www.dca.ca.gov/publications/legal_guides/k_9.shtml. I believe booking.com needs to give people a chance to correct a problem especially if they are good customers. So far the last several trips have been an issue and each time, after repeatedly calling I received many apologizes but no help. I don't need apologizes from a company I am using I need results. No wonder American Express is so popular this company takes care of its customers.
#longpostalert DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM! I prepaid a hotel room in Savannah, GA, after my flight was canceled. Because the PGA Masters Tournament was in town that week, finding a room was no easy task. When I arrived at the hotel, however, I was told the hotel was completely full. I contacted Booking.com on the spot, and the chat line told me to take it up with the hotel. I then asked the chat line agent to call the Manager of the hotel, and gave them the number along with Manager's name. They called while I was still there. The Manager confirmed to the agent via phone that there were no rooms available. Booking.com then told me I needed to provide them with proof of my replacement hotel booking, and said the hotel must also reply via email to them in order for them to issue the refund. I have my receipt for the replacement hotel, and I have a written confirmation from the original hotel confirming they have replied to Booking.com's email advising them to refund my money. I've tried following up via their app as well as by phone with no success. I finally had to call my credit card company to open a disputed charge just to be sure I get my money back.
I would not even give this company one star. Do not book with them.
We booked a two bedroom apartment in Boston over 7 months ago and have paid the money in full.
We are due to fly out to Boston on Thursday this week as my daughter is running the marathon. However we have just been told that the apartment is now cancelled!
It is obviously a really peak booking period and the equivalent apartment is now almost three times as much money. Booking. Com have offered an apartment to us that is over 17 miles away from the original and will involve huge expense and time in terms of getting to where we need to be. This is all they will do in compensation! Plus the most they will offer in a refund is an extra £200 which will not in any way cover the extra £1500 we would need to rebook a similar apartment. They have now stopped answering our calls. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place as we cannot alter the timings, flights are booked and paid for and the race is also paid for. We have no alternative, other than not going, than to pay an exhorbitant amount of money to find another place to stay. I am SO angry with Booking. Com! They have similar apartments in the right place on their site but will not transfer us to them. Do not trust them, do not use them, never book with them.
Edit
Booking. Com leaked my all my booking informations to some fraudulents and they stole $500. Customer service is pathetic and lady was super rude. Instead of helping us she said our information has been hacked.
Never will I or do I recommend to book a plane ticket through them. No where during the booking process will they let you know if tickets are refundable or not it says there may be a charge but not that you can't refund or rebook. My passport did not arrive in time of my flight and they would not allow me to change my flight dates. I did not want any money back just to change dates while I waited on my passport. They where not helpful at all on my matter and just took almost $3,000 of my money. After the fact I went through the booking process straight from the airline and it shows you multiple times if a ticket is non refundable unlike the booking.com process. I will never book through these ppl again for anything! I work so hard for my money just for them to take it. I would have never book the tickets if I would of known I couldn't change them if I needed to.
A couple of days ago I booked a hotel in Maine online trough this company and got a confirmation number for my stay, I then had to speak to the hotel about something so I called and The hotel told me that they could not find my reservation! That made me really nervous so I called booking. Com again and explained everything. The rep could barely speak English ( I'm sure that their reps are based out if India) and as I started to inform him about the problem he intentionally hung up on me, in which made me even more nervous. So I called again and got another Hindu speaking rep in which she said that her name was Jane, and again I started to explain the problem to her and I demanded that she call the hotel while I was in hold to see what is going on, so she did and she came back on the phone telling me that we needed to cancel the reservation and rebook it because if server problems! She then told me that I had to pay 1,000.00 upfront and the rest when we checked out of the hotel. She then proceeded to tell me that right when I called that Booking.com was having a promotion and that I could get everything, including taxes and fees and lunch breakfast and dinner for 2500. 00 opposed to the 3175. 00 that I had previously booked, but in order to do that I had to download an app and that she would walk me through it, so I explained to her why would I need to do that? She worked for the company shouldn't she have that info already? She then was getting very short with me because I was questioning her, and she wanted to book my trip in a hurry! I then told her that I felt these were all signs of a scam! And then she got very nervous and wanted to get off the phone. I would NOT trust this company at all! I could just imagine if we would of went all the way to Maine to find out that we had jo reservations! The hell with this company and their reps too! Beware!
Fraudulent website! Beware. Do no use booking.com they are dishonest scammers. I will never use them again.
I recently booked a hotel for two nights through Booking.com. The rate quoted was $139 per night, when I was charged (a few days before the stay), it was charged at $189 per night. I contacted Booking.com, the agents on chat were responsive, one even stated that I was quoted $139 but charged $189. Easy fix right? Wrong! The bottom line is there is no one above the chat to talk with, and they simply said I needed a screenshot of the quote! What? Does anyone do that - lesson learned? Don't use Booking.com
Having a hard time recovering a refund from a hotel stay, going to file a complaint with consumer services, they leave you on hols until you hang up from waiting so long also extremely unpleasant and unprofessional.
Called the hotel a few days ahead of my stay to confirm, they said they had absolutely no record of the booking. Tried for ages to get a hold of someone from booking.com to no avail. Their live chat feature does not work, their customer service number did not work. There is no way to get a hold of anyway. Not worth using this site especially when the direct hotel website is usually cheaper. Stay away
When we arrived at the property I booked through booking.com we found old food in the refrigerator, beds with no linens, and piles of dirty linens and wet towels on the floor. Immediately we called the owner to resolve the issue. He couldn't contact his cleaner so he had a local friend come. The friend did basic bathroom cleaning and used the laundry in the unit to wash the linens including the queen size comforters. The beds were made except the comforters which were in the washer and dryer. It was getting late so we asked the friend to leave so we could put our 4 kids to bed. We said we would finish the comforters. Unfortunately they took so long to dry we couldn't use them that night and slept without blankets. I emailed the owner in the morning to let him know and he said he would refund our cleaning fee. After I left an honest review of the property the owner messaged me and said he would not be refunding our cleaning fee due to damages. He sent a photo of a comforter with holes in it which I also took a picture of since his friend was the one who put it in the washer. There was also a photo of a loose doorknob which we did not damage. There is no proof we caused any damages since the property was not cleaned or inspected before our arrival. When I contacted customer service they said they would contact the property owner about the refund. After making contact they said there would be no compensation which is unacceptable.
So I did not authorize a cancellation they basically took my money said screw you we don't care and after requesting the speak to a manager several times I was denied to speak to a manager do not go through booking.com
They let the worst ranked hotels use there site and booking. Com knows these hotels are terrible and rip off people and they still allow them on their site because of the money made. The customer does not matter,, it's all about how much money they can make,,,, very bad site that I will NEVER use AGAIN! °
I bought fully refundable first class tickets, but had to cancel. Cancellations are apparently routed through a 3rd party called GotoGate (or something like that). Their customer service agent put me on hold, then came back to say the fare was not refundable. I told him I was near certain that it was refundable. He maintaiend that it was not. We left the conversation., I phoned back a week later, spoke to a different agent who after putting me on hold for a bit, gave me the exact same line as the previous. I again expressed my confidence that the fare was refundable but he maintained his position. By now tired of trying to squeeze my money back out of them, and also having other things to do besides sit on hold and/or argue with an agent on the other side of the planet, I reluctantly agreed to accept a flight credit for a later date. The next day, still felt suspicious, like I had been scammed so I finally phoned the airline (American), who told me in no uncertain terms that the fare had in fact been fully refundable. The GotoGate/Booking.com agents had intentionally been lying to me the entire time, on multiple occasions. I called them back the following, explained what had happened, they then told me they would have to contact the airline. I am still waiting to see what happens. Regardless, I will never use Booking.com again.
Terrible Customer service - Terrible policy's. Terrible company - do not waste time with any owners connected to this company. Your experience will not be good.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: I don't know why you're even using this site Stephanie. Their after sales is disgusting! Recommend travel Republic. Great prices and options
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: NOT BOOKING.CON
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
