Blu Domain Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and communication. While some long-term users have appreciated the quality of templates and ease of use, many express frustration over unresponsive support, billing issues, and the loss of website content. Common concerns include a lack of timely invoicing leading to service interruptions, inadequate support during critical times, and the perception of being ignored by the company. This trend indicates a deteriorating customer service approach that could jeopardize long-standing relationships and drive clients to seek alternative providers.

I've only been with Blu Domain 2 weeks and I am really regretting it. I can't even get a simple password to edit and create my site. I have sent them 3 emails asking for correct password and they will not respond. If this is the way this is starting, I'm in big trouble. I wish I would have seen reviews before sending my money. A real waste.

This company has the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. They say you'll get your website by 11:59pm of the day you register. It's took 5 days to get my website, then they sent me a wrong password, which took another several days for them to respond. I had no access to my website to create it. I sent multiple emails with no response. I shut down my previous website to create a new one through bludomain. I had clients waiting on my new website to be up to view their recent photo sessions. I think the only positive reviews written about this company were written by the company itself to bump up their ratings.

I just set up an account with bludomain, and I was soooo skeptical after reading all of these posts, but figured I would give it a try after it was recommended by a fellow photographer. I am SO happy that I listened to that photographer, because not only are they fast to respond to emails, but they are so friendly. I was helped by a girl named Samantha, who not only responded to my emails minutes after I would send them, but was EXTREMELY helpful and wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I was doing. I highly recommend this service to everyone and think that the people below should try again with the company because I rate them an 11 out of 10.

I made the mistake of thinking that Bludomain was going to be able to help me getting my new business website up and running. I was debating whether getting professional help vs. doing it myself and when I read about their service and saw the different options and prices I thought that maybe I could do it myself. What a mistake. The service is pathetic! It has been over 3 weeks of back and forth e-mails and instructions that seemed to be made by people that do not speak english and my website is still not up and running. So if you are out there and asking yourself whether to hire professional help or buy Bludomain service, do yourself a favor, and DONOT GO WITH BLUDOMAIN unless you want to be frustrated and be angry every time you turn on your computer.

Okay..
October 29, 2010

Okay. I am not going to be dramatic... just as factual as i can.
Yes, beautiful websites & easy to program.
BUT! These are the glitches I have experienced:
In 2008 I set up my website. Customers could add items to their shopping basket but if they hit their back browser it would wipe it out. My customers were increasingly frustrated & therefore just started calling me directly to place an order. I was told "that is just what the template does". I told them it was a defect in the design. The way they "fixed" it was to but a special note informing customers not to hit their back browser. Sooo they had to go all the way back to the beginning if they wanted to buy another item. In 2009 when I was getting ready to renew Bludomain had a list of improvements. In that list was the Harlowe template shopping cart. I was NEVER notified of this improvement & only when I emailed them did they reset my template.

HOWEVER... before they reset my template, I had received 5 orders for which I received no notification. I had no idea I had these orders until the customer called to ask where they were. ADDITIONALLY, one customer placed 3 separate orders. The first item was $18. For every order after that she was charged $18 regardless of the actually cost of the item. I received a reply from customer service that didn't address my issues as I had described ( in complete detail)

Some claims were responded to, some were not... mostly because of all the "glitches".
In the end when I asked for a refund for my webhosting, I was told I had to submit yet another claim. They didin't apologize for all the problems or try to "save" me as a customer. I only assume that they can not stand behind their product & receive so many complaints that it is better for them to just throw their hands up.

Switching webhosting asap & taking all that free time i have to design a new website. Good times.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! They literally take your money and run with it. This is my second site TRYING to work with them. Once you pay for the site I can guarantee you will be horrified by their customer service. If you have a deadline to meet or need to have your site up and running in a timely manner... steer clear of BluDomain. OUTRAGEOUS!

I am hoping/thinking that another template company will roll up their sleeves and grab the market bludomain has-with the benefit of customer service.

Who else can you recommend that will be a company we'd like to work with? Thanks all.

The customer services in the very very worst I have experienced and when you actually let them know that, they pretty much laugh in your face, they sell what look like nice templates, but are they functional? Not so much, even the tutorials do not help, and the dozens of help tickets I sent were a waste of time. I asked for a refund in full and they told me "you are not getting any $ back"
I also noted I would write a negative review and they said they didnt care.
Stay away from bludomain!

AWFUL customer service. Just awful. The templates are nice and easy to use, which is what makes it tempting even after reading bad reviews. But when it comes time to launch your site, be prepared to wait, be prepared for there to be bugs, and be prepared to be ignored. It may SAY on their site they will get back to you in 36 hours, or that they will respond to your issues, but they won't. You will get no response from a human, and your concerns won't be heard. Maybe in another 2 weeks my site will finally be launched, correctly. Who knows. What kind of people work at this place? It's just awful. Awful and a waste of energy and irritation.

This company has beautiful websites, but THE WORST customer service on the face of the planet! You can only contact them via their contact form - no phone number. This wouldn't be a major deal if they would actually correspond with you via the contact form.

It takes WEEKS to get things resolved with them... so if you are patient it may be worth it. Expect to have to start multiple trouble tickets for the same issue. It seems like your responses no longer get to them after the first few back and forths: and there are ALWAYS back and forths.

They don't appear to check into anything regarding your situation, they just send a formulated response based on skimming your request. Then you reiterate and clarify and by the time those back and forths have happened you are no longer getting a response and you have to start a new ticket.

If you don't need much once the site is up, you will be pleased. If you have to make any changes AT ALL... be prepared to fume and wait... and wait... and wait.

Bludomain is the worst experience I've ever had. The templates are cool, but as soon as you hit submit with your payment information, it's all downhill from there. They SUCK! Their customer service is horrendous. Why do we have to email back and forth for days, when a simple phone call can figure everything out. And the people you're dealing with are so incredibly rude and offensive. I'm seriously considering calling my credit card company and having them reverse the charges it's so bad and I have no website to offer up.

I don't know where to begin
September 25, 2009

I don't know where to begin. Lovely templates, nice enough to be tempted to ignore the vast amount of negative reviews. Without doubt, the worst costumer service I have ever experienced in my 10 plus years as a business owner. Once they have your money they disappear. I have been waiting for responses to my numerous email attempts for 3 weeks. 3 weeks! It's repulsive.

I am about to pull my hair out! I have purchased a website template from Blu Domain. They have a very attractive product, but have such bad customer service. They do not do phone support, have only 9-5 MST hours and do not respond in a timely manner to any of my emails. ARGHHHHHH!

BluDomain fell very shot of expectations for me. Their site is beautiful and pulls you right in to lovely hip web templates only to find out they have little customer service, disconnected phone numbers and a lack for answering emails. They say it can take 24hrs to respond. In some cases true but not with answered questions. Only short blurbs of how they are waiting for this or that. Other times... as in my recent email, it took 4 days to respond only after I let them know I did not want to escalate the problem to another level as I had faith in them. This seemed to get their attention though their response was short and tactless and honestly rude. Not what I would expect from a company I just paid $200 to. Been about a week and 1/2 and I still do not have my website that has been paid for. They state your site will be up in 24hours. What a joke. I wanted to have faith in them but they really do not make the grade. They will get you with their pretty looks but fall short of everything else. Should have checked the BBB in Colorado before going with these guys as they were rated very poorly.

BluDomain offers stylish and reasonably priced websites, however, their customer service just crosses over what their developers have to offer. The templates are often delivered late, the bugs are fixed long, emails rarely returned and the phone doesn't answer. With such service it's impossible to run your website properly. I'm rather usuing Readyphotosite now. Their templates are nice and functional and the service is great!

Get a website up and running for photographers in one day - This is one of the better companies I have worked with in terms letting the photographer be more creative in designs and templates. Other website template companies don't offer as much in terms of design and are usually just all flash without much creative thought into them. Bludomain is also extremely cheap relative to other sites out there. Not a bad deal especially if you are just starting out and need to save $$$
