I was a client of BluDomain for the past 8+ years and FINALLY made the switch after too many issues. First of all, I was double billed many times over the years and had to fight them for a refund. My website crashed multiple times and one crash (in 2019) left my site and content unsalageable. They offered to give me a free site template to make up for the loss. I took it and bebuilt but ran into many more issues that their team could not resolve. Ontop of everything, their custom service SUCKS! They take days to reply and always tend to give excuses to why they can't fix or help with issues. I'm so glad I made the decision to switch domain and website hosts.
I had a good relation with BluDomain, until 18Dec. Since then, my site, www.jacnmacphotography, has been down and I have been totally ignored by this company. I come to learn that they take possession of your domain name, so if you host with them, you will not be able to control your domain.
Now, I have lost business, my files, and my site.
Please do not do any business with this company, at ALL.
I have had so many problems with Bludomain in the last month. I can't even count the number of times I've had to request Customer Service... only to receive a reply DAYS later.
They are NOT optimized for SEO, as much as the say they are. They offer very LITTLE assistance for bugs that are present in their templates, and they offer absolutely NO refunds.
I've learned the hard way--you get what you pay for. Their support and products are CHEAP. I've paid ten times over in the time I've had to invest and the disappointment I've faced.
I have been with Bludomain for several years and this past year, I have contacted BBB and they didn't respond to them even. No phone response to me, I was charged for my domain twice, and when I paid it, they refused payment after they shut my site down. It has been a horrible year.

Because instead of admitting that you never send the invoices (yeah, it goes to paypal & guess what, has a date attached) EVERY YEAR since 2015 and after a week of noticing my website is down I still haven't received the hosting invoice. You only send the domain expiration invoice. How difficult is it to send 2 invoices?! YOUR JOB ISN'T HARD. Arguing with customers because you're too chicken $#*! to own up to a mistake---is pathetic and very poor customer service. I asked for a supervisor--in hopes of salvaging the relationship, but NO--she says SHE OWNS THE COMPANY. You have lost my business to squarespace & now, at least I don't have the headache every year of begging you for invoices so I can pay YOU and then having you blame me for not receiving them, claiming you sent them 3 months ago. What a $#*!ing joke. I call this customer dis-service. We'll see how long you stay in business.

Very sorry you feel this way. We invoice almost 2 months out. You asked for another invoice on August 4th in which it was sent by PayPal this is the receipt from PayPal that shows me that the receipt was sent from them.
Last night and today you are stating that we never send invoices. I did send you this last night to show that it had been sent with an alternative to pay the fee so that we could take care of this quickly.
I'm not sure why they aren't reaching your inbox, it can happen (spam, being rejected etc) but I have given you many alternatives including self-paying via PayPal and/or updating your email address to another that we can try.

I made the mistake of thinking that Bludomain was going to be able to help me getting my new business website up and running. I was debating whether getting professional help vs. doing it myself and when I read about their service and saw the different options and prices I thought that maybe I could do it myself. What a mistake. The service is pathetic! It has been over 3 weeks of back and forth e-mails and instructions that seemed to be made by people that do not speak english and my website is still not up and running. So if you are out there and asking yourself whether to hire professional help or buy Bludomain service, do yourself a favor, and DONOT GO WITH BLUDOMAIN unless you want to be frustrated and be angry every time you turn on your computer.
The templates are cute, but the customer service is horrible! They do not allow phone calls, so every contact is through emails going back and forth. That takes days and days to get resolved. My shopping cart doesn't work for my business, and it has been over a MONTH! They keep on telling me the same thing over and over. Which! I have tried. And now, the client album is not uploading the images. It has been over a week. They have no regards for your business and urgency. I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW HOST NOW! I WISH I COULD PUT A -5.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. My website did not function. I asked them to fix it, they didn't. I asked them to swap me for a functioning website, they wouldn't. Finally, as a last resort, I asked for a refund, they wouldn't. Even after filing a complaint with the BBB they didn't refund my money. Worst company and customer service EVER. I am about to pull my hair out! I have purchased a website template from Blu Domain. They have a very attractive product, but have such bad customer service. They do not do phone support, have only 9-5 MST hours and do not respond in a timely manner to any of my emails. ARGHHHHHH!
Bludomain customer service is a JOKE! They make YOUR business look BAD! Your clients will be put on hold for days or weeks before they correct the issue making you look like you are ignoring your customers. They Don't give true customer service, there is no phone # to contact them only way to contact them is to e-mail back and forth, but they take 2 days or so to answer your problem with a STUPID answer that you have already check out. DON"T insult our intelligence, people use customer service as a last resort! There LIVE CHAT is also a massive JOKE, you log in, ask a question and all they tell you is to fill out a support claim (e-mail). I notice that the only questions they answer are from unsuspecting new clients to lure them in, then once they get your money you'll never get service again. BEWARE!

I hosted with blu 12 years before they sold both my domain names without warning. It has been a nightmare getting them back. Customer service has gone from fantastic to completely MIA. Steer clear.

I have had the same problem since 2011, when I moved my hosting from them. IT has never been resolved. If you go with these people DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT let them register your domain or host your website! In my innocence about 6 years ago I set everything up through them. But rather than registering my domain in my name, they registered it to themselves. They will not transfer the name back to me and every year they charge me to renew. I don't have a choice as they just will not give me back my domain! It's that or have my primary website down for ever! After 6 years of repeated requests for help, and support tickets being ignored and left open ive had enough. I'm dumping my domain. They can keep it and I will register a new one with a reliable company in my name. They have shut down live chat also so there is basically no way to speak with them unless they want to talk to you. Which they don't. I even tried to resolve the issue via live chat and was promised an email from a director. Guess what? It never happened!
I have been trying for a week to get my problem resolved and they aren't responding! I received an invoice for my domain name renewal on Jan. 16th and paid it on Jan. 17th. Now my site is down and they resent an invoice saying I hadn't paid. I have sent proof that it was paid and NO RESPONSE!
BluDomain received her payment yesterday at 3 PM MST and she was renewed within minutes and is online.
For the past three years bludomain mysteriously lost my payments. I paid ahead of time by at least a month each year. They took my site down each time. I had to take screenshots of the payments and send transaction numbers from Paypal as proof that payment was made. Even then it took about three weeks to resolve, get the site back up and running, and I never received an apology. The customer service is sincerely lacking with no phone support. They make you "open tickets" that can take 5 days at a time to get a response. So you have to be a very patient person or resort to the chat room to get anywhere. Speaking of the chat room that's where you should go if you're needing more perspective on this company. You will see first hand how unorganized they are. They are also very argumentative and unprofessional. If you are needing a cheap and easy site to build they are not bad from that perspective. I like the templates but there are also glitches in a great deal of them. Such as the cart for client checkout. If you are computer savvy and don't need support than this might be a cheap easy solution. Hence why I gave them two stars. If you are someone who needs customer support and ease of mind then defiantly stay away. Also, I highly suggest that you use Paypal every time you make your payments. If you pay directly with a debit it will be a way longer process if they take your site and domain down to get it back up and running.

Worst company. Never responds to tickets. If you manage to get a response they verbally belittle and harass their customers. They conveniently allow your domains to expire and then charge you $100 to reinstate your domain. Anyone who claims they enjoy their experience must be a member of their team, because this company is a COMPLETE SCAM.

Once you pay for the site I can guarantee you will be horrified by their customer service. If you have a deadline to meet or need to have your site up and running in a timely manner... steer clear of BluDomain. OUTRAGEOUS!
DO NOT do business with this company. Really bad service, no phone contact info, unresponsive to problems once I paid them. I have not received instructions regarding how to set up a template but that's not the point here.
The point is that it doesn't work with my website. It started out as a misunderstanding on their and my part which an ethical company would have responded to.
They will not respond to my several requests for a credit which means I now have to deal with the problem through my credit card company by challenging the charge.

It took 10 days for them to purchase my domain name, then the domain email never did work so no one could ever get in touch with me. I never got a user name and password for the cpanel. I found out that they purchased the domain name through "godaddy" and registered themselves as the owner of the site. I turned the matter over to ICANN.org.DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS. Their support sucks!
Hello, your domain is not owned by BluDomain. We simply register it for you and all of our domains are under one account however you remain the owner as long as you renew your domain name every year. I don't show a website address so I can't address your concerns as we don't have any clients under James B.

Answer: No one steals domains. If you don't pay your domain name renewal fee, then the registrar takes your domain, email and website down. At day 26 your domain is available to the public auctions should anyone wish to buy it. Usually, this happens by domain name investors if they feel your domain name is worth buying to resell.
Answer: I had an issue again with not getting response to my emails using the contact button on the website, so I went to the Facebook page, and actually posted a message on there- got a quick response that same day. Problem solved - not to my liking, but problem resolved. I will be looking for a new hosting site soon.
