Never, never, but never trust in this company. If you are still with them it is time to change hosting. A few weeks ago, they lost the information of hundreds of people, including me, emails over 7 years old, pages, everything. They just said they would give you a $ 100 template and that's it. They answered when they wanted and after several mails never answered again. They were not professional enough to face it, you are in time to avoid these problems. There was no justification for their failure since they had to have back up discs that they did not have.
I am hoping/thinking that another template company will roll up their sleeves and grab the market bludomain has-with the benefit of customer service.
Who else can you recommend that will be a company we'd like to work with? Thanks all.
Get a website up and running for photographers in one day - This is one of the better companies I have worked with in terms letting the photographer be more creative in designs and templates. Other website template companies don't offer as much in terms of design and are usually just all flash without much creative thought into them. Bludomain is also extremely cheap relative to other sites out there. Not a bad deal especially if you are just starting out and need to save $$$
I have read most of the complaints on here and I don't really understand how or why they had so many problems... Scams... I think people should offer proof before they are allowed to write such crap! This is the 4th domain I have got from Blu... I have nothing but great things to say about them. I don't think one client has ever told me my site was down nor have I had a problem getting in touch with them. I would caution you if your looking for a flash site that has great SEO... not here not anywhere! Looking for a site that's easy to use/set up and looks great... your at the right place! You can spend thousands to have someone design your site... run your seo for you then charge you for changing a letter... good luck to you... The cost is great... the service is good, the sites are great the SEO is like any other flash site... don't want it go somewhere else... they now have HTML sites... those are the 2 I just purchased... can't wait...
They motto is truthful. I needed to create a website for a very small event of our company and as one of the heads, I was forced to do that. I started to search for various solutions and found these guys.
Terms were veeeery tight, I got to meet all the deadlines, and due to them I managed to create a beautiful website within a couple of hours, just from the scratch.
I ain't know maybe i got lucky, but if I am so lucky, then I need to go to the lottery :D
I have no idea what you are all talking about-every ticket I submitted was answered promptly-amazing service and an amazing set of templates to purchase-my website is almost live and looks out of this world!
I've only been with Blu Domain 2 weeks and I am really regretting it. I can't even get a simple password to edit and create my site. I have sent them 3 emails asking for correct password and they will not respond. If this is the way this is starting, I'm in big trouble. I wish I would have seen reviews before sending my money. A real waste.
Do not use bludomain. Been with them for years. All of a sudden my domain name belongs to someone else and it takes you to some sort of chinese site. Their response to "help" me has been slow and no explanations were given.
I give it one star because when I first ordered, it was live quickly and easy to set up. Some of the functions did not work as promised, however, so I quickly began looking for an alternative, only to find I did not own my own domain name. It was a month-long battle with them to get them to release it, even after I paid for them to do so. It was only after I went into their public chat and loudly began complaining that they even responded to my emails, which quickly became one word replies even though my emails would have several questions inside. Then some emails would take three days to get answered! Just insanity. NEVER EVER start your website through here, cute templates or not!
Very simple their customer service is non-existent... site has been down filed work orders to fix no response but got a bill for $20...
They bill me $100 a year which is fine, but they try and collect it twice... STAY AWAY
Blu makes great looking websites but their customer service is terrible! My domaine expired and they charged me another $100 to get it back! Supposedly they sent me 3 emails telling it was about to expire (Which they had done the previous two years I was with them) but when I went back they had never passed through my inbox or my spam. My guess is they never did it and dont want to own up to their own mistakes. If you have the option I would go somewhere else. If you are stuck with them like me dont miss you renewal payments. Set your own reminders because they obviously cant be counted on!
Beautiful sites but they don't work as well as you would expect. The customer service is awful. Often times I just never get a response. When they do respond it's days later, if you have more than one concern listed in your support ticket be assured you will not get them all answered in one e-mail. Then you will be waiting days again. It's so frustrating because they have the potential to be a great company but they just don't care about their customers.
I purchased the Charlie site 9/15/21 paid through PayPal transaction went through. Have not received the site yet! I sent in several tickets that I have not received my site with NO response! I then emailed to the email address on my PayPal trans action and NO response. So I ha e to open a case with PayPal with proof of emails and screen shots of tickets sent in. So we'll see if they even respond! I really hate this because I had a site with them about 10 years ago and the customer service was excellent and the site was amazing and easy to use! I think they need to have a dedicated person handle tickets turned in to make sure they get followed up on. I hope they get back in touch soon! I will definitely be sad if not because from past experience they were great!
Adding received my site today! Said my server was blocking Bludomain emails! Just glad it's fixed!
My site has gone down at the same time every year and every year I ask them to send me an invoice before this happens so i can pay the domain fee. It causes major issues as my clients cannot view their online galleries and I am missing important emails. I tried to contact them (the only way you can which is through their online form) before this happened again this year, and asked for them to send me an invoice ahead of time. No answer! I even replied again asking if someone could please contact me... and nothing! What horrible customer service! I am loosing business and looking incredibly unprofessional to my clients. Why cant they just respond and deal with issues like a reputable company should!
This experience with you has been very frustrating and you have not impressed me with your helpfulness. I am losing confidence in your company and may just start over by building my website with another company that at least acts like they care about my business. After four days of interaction the only thing I have gotten from you is an unprofessional request for me to pay through an external site (paypal) and send you a confirmation of payment which seems a little strange for a company that is supposed to specialize in online business. I have continued to interact trying to find a solution and all I have gotten is a shady request for money, a canned sales pitch and frustration. Thanks for nothing. You can be sure that I will not be recommending your services.
No emails replies to my questions as to why the site is down. My fee was paid in June 2020 100.00 host fee.
I have not received any outstanding balances for anything. Numerous tickets off their support page were made. Zero reply.
I have been with them for over 10 years and they have absolutely no regard for my years of support.
I used BluDomain for a site a couple of years ago and had no issues. Recently, I purchased a new template. I never received the email to access it. I emailed them twice... no response. So, they were willing to take my money for nothing in return. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded me after I disputed the charge.
Their ordering process sucks. I have clients complaining left and right about how difficult it is to order prints. I've had numerous problems with the site and they dont seem to care. They only have online support... no phone support. Totally sucks! Do not go with them
THIS IS A COMPANY TO AVOID. I should have learned my lesson the first time they lost my website and all the data.
In July 2017, BluDomain deleted my website without saving any of my data due what they called was an admin error'. After being offered 3 years free hosting as compensation, I foolishly agreed to accept and stayed with them and rebuilt my site again from scratch.
Just one year later, they had a major crash, no backups and lost not only my site, but all of their client's sites as well. It took weeks to reach someone at BluDomain to find out what had happened. Then to add insult to injury, they just sent me an invoice to renew. This is a company to avoid. They are not contactable via phone, often don't respond to support requests via multiple email requests. Find yourself a reliable web hosting company. BluDomain is a disaster.
If there were negative stars I would give those. As soon as I paid for my domain for another year my website gone poof. Kind of strange that they do not have a number listed. I putt in Several support tickets and nothing. Do not use them they are a rip off.
Hello, sorry I don't see your full name or website? If you pay your domain name then it gets renewed. We haven't had a phone support piece since we opened twenty years ago. You were aware of this when you signed up. Sorry I wish I could help you but I need more information! Stay safe!
Answer: Bludomain is out of business, I've used them for three years and they are gone, no site, no email. Nice of them to leave me hanging, Hope the same happens to them
Answer: No one steals domains. If you don't pay your domain name renewal fee, then the registrar takes your domain, email and website down. At day 26 your domain is available to the public auctions should anyone wish to buy it. Usually, this happens by domain name investors if they feel your domain name is worth buying to resell.
Answer: I had an issue again with not getting response to my emails using the contact button on the website, so I went to the Facebook page, and actually posted a message on there- got a quick response that same day. Problem solved - not to my liking, but problem resolved. I will be looking for a new hosting site soon.
