Racially profiled!

Bought a A/C unit for almost half a grand yesterday from BJ in Monroe ny. Everything seemed great. The box was in mint condition. We open it later that afternoon to find a 2 years old beat up unit in there! We turned it on too and the smell was so bad! We picked it up this morning to put it back in the box to return it of course. Water POURED out of it! My husband brought it back to BJ's this morning only for them to say that wasn't there unit they gave us and they would not trade or refund our money. I went back there this time only for them to say the unit was in mint condition. I told the manager did you guys ever open the box? She said we don't do that... So I ask how do you know if it is in mint condition? She then went on to tell me if the box was damaged we would not sell it... But I did not spend almost $500 on the box! I spend it on the unit and you never check to see if the unit was defective or eventhe right one? She went on to say I doubt BJ would do that... We have never been racially profile! That felt horrible! We were shocked and humiliated and our kids were there! Let's just say we did not get our money back and we are out almost $500 and our kids had hard a crash course in being racially profiled.

Not a review of BJ's!

I have complaints about BJ's, however, after reading several reviews on Site Jabber I feel compelled to put this review here, about Site Jabber, and not about BJ's, simply for the following reasons:

Review sites are often unfair due to the way they are set up and refuse to remove unfair reviews.

Although I do have legitimate complaints about bjs.com, they aren't about the club, the store, the employees or my membership there. They are about the bjs.com website and nothing more, yet it seems I can't limit my review to the website alone.

Second, far too many of the negative reviews I have read are so obviously ridiculous it's just plain stupid.

Third, I've never been able to find a way to rate review sites like this so I decided to leave this five star review for BJ's so I don't hurt their ratings here unnecessarily, yet can still leave something useful.

Yes, I do have complaints about bjs.com, but only about the site, not the store or the company in general (except, of course for the way the website is managed), but because of the way THIS website (Jabber) is set up and run, I do not feel comfortable relating my issues with bjs.com here. I've been shopping at BJ's for over thirty years and although I have had some negative experiences, the rating collected by Jabber is utterly ridiculous. It's clear to me that something is very wrong with this site's management for such a low rating to be presented.

A RIP OFF...I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING AT BJS FOR YEARS UNTIL THEY STABB ME IN THE BACK. I GOT A BILL FOR RENEWAL IN WHICH I CALLED THEM AN TOLD THEM I COULD NO LONGER KEEP THEIR CARD,. MY HUSBAND HAD TRIPLE BYPASS SO I COULDNT AFFORD TO GO THERE. I CALLED & TOLD THEM TO CANCEL MEMBERSHIP. THEY DIDNT SO NOW THEY TACKED ON LATE CHARGES. THEY THINK I AM PAYING FOR IT EVEN WHEN IT WAS CANCELLED. THEY HAVE NO HEART, THEY DONT CATER THE CUSTOMERS ONLY THEMSELVES. RIP OFF. BRENDA WILLIAMS

Hello,
I am Roman Catholic. I Om'd through one of India's religions which means I have reached enlightened status. The BJ"s in Huntington Beach is terrorizing the community by lying on the menu about this sacred/holy word. Kosher is label for food and is part of the religion of the Jewish and it is protected as much as preventing allergen contamination and enforcing proper sanitation. You guys have made claims on the menu that you have enlightened dishes. They are not accurate as they have death/$#*! (every cell in any living creature eats and $#*!s while plants do not.) They have a point system called Karma and it kills them and you just as much as any other crime. You guys are rude, disrespectful, and criminals on the loose. Fix this before you commit more hate crimes or get sued by the Christians, Mormons, Jewish, Protestants, and other Indian sects.
Woops Wrong BJ's... Idk how to delete. I meant the restaurant chain. Shoot, Now I gotta apologize. Oh great. Go get'em.

NEVER AGAIN

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY ORDER 2 NACHOS. THEY WERE HANDS DOWN THE WORST EVER. NO CHESSE, 1 WAS NOT DONE CORRECT AT ALL. OVER PRICED.
GAS STATIONS NACHOS WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTERY.
THE EGG ROOLS WERE SOGGY. OVER 60.00 2 NACHOS, EGG ROOLS AND A CUP OF TOO SALTY SOUP.
THEY NEED TOO CLOSE THE DOORS.

I purchased a Samsung 75 inch on the evening of January 31,2024, from BJs.com.
I noticed after paying for the tv, that the sales tax did not compute the 7 percent tax rate.
I tried cancelling the order but was not able to do so. I called their customer service, and was told that due to the manufacturer coupon, the tv was taxed as the original selling price of $1799.99 vs the sales price $997.99. Okay, I accepted it. However, I checked the same Samsung 75-inch tv at Samsung.com, Amazon Costco.com, and guess what, they did not tax on the full price but rather on the actual sales transaction or price That was strike one. Now on the shipment, the tv was at a warehouse in Jax, Fl on Feb 2,2024. On Feb 3 it was at Atlanta Ga. On Feb 4 in transit to Orlando, FL and it arrived at an Orlando Fl warehouse on Feb 5,2024. The earlier scheduled day for delivery was for Feb 12, so my purchased tv, which was already billed to my credit card, was going to sit in a warehouse for a week. That was strike two. I set-up the Feb 12 delivery date and was told it will be between 10am to 4pm. Come Feb 12, I got a call at 7am, that the delivery was on its way to my home. Less than an hour later, they were knocking at my door. The box was dirty and was damaged. STRIKE THREE. Now Bj's return policy required a return authorization, and return shipment to be paid by the buyer, unless the shipment was damaged. I took it back directly to the BJs store and requested a full refund. I may add, I subsequently purchased the tv from Sam's Club and unlike Bj's, tax was on the sale price and unlike BJs no tax on the extended service contract.

Besides being the dirtest store you have some of the wrong people working there.As a Handicapped person i entered the stiore NO mobility carts.in a vety snyde tone the girl states abruptly the one cart doesnt work.So instead of shopping together my wife bought ONLY MILK.I had to sit near the door and watch this girl NOT CHECK any carts, JUST scribble a line across the reciept this was at 12;10 PM,she doesnt care just like management doesnt care about the mobility cart.YOU HAVE THE WRONG PERSON AT THE DOOR.EDISON STORE THE WORST.You can call me to verify*******821.OH by the way we joined SAMS CLUB ACROSS THE ROAD.now if you act on this info i think theres a lot of room for IMPROVEMENT? BJ's Online orders Blow
September 29, 2021

Ordered a patio set on BJ's website on 9/11/2021 and a schedule delivery was set for the 29th of September between 1pm and 5pm with their contracted company Metropolitan Warehouse. On the 29th Metropolitan Warehouse never showed up. I called Metropolitan Warehouse and they stated nobody was home due to the fact that nobody picked up the phone. I asked the agent did anyone knock on the door? The agent stated "The driver called while they were 20 minutes away and since nobody answered the phone they canceled the delivery" I explained to the agent that a delivery was scheduled between 1pm and 5pm and not showing up or knocking on the door is absolutely no excuse. (So calling is the new knocking) I tried calling back within 2 minutes several times and nobody answered. I had no option to leave a voicemail.

The agent stated the next delivery available was on October 15th 2021 or to call BJ's if I wanted to pick up the item at the warehouse. This is my issue with BJ's if you google or look for reviews on Metropolitan Warehouse you would understand how horrific this company is when it comes to deliveries. BJ's knows this company has a 1.8 star rating with thousands of customers yet they continue using them as their primary delivery service. BJ's blows and so does Metropolitan Warehouse…won't order anything online via BJ's again. One and done!

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM BJS. Order #*******, Paid $448 3 weeks later all I have received is 7 items, 2 of which were so damaged they weren't edible. I am missing literally MOST of this order. $400 worth of stuff, OVER 30 ITEMS STILL NEVER DELIVERED. 7 calls later, 3 SUPERVISORS. I've been repeatedly & deliberately lied to. A supervisor emailed me, he claimed he scheduled the delivery for the following day. FOLLOWING DAY- STILL Never was delivered. Guess what, emailed him 3 times now days later- explaining there's still no delivery. And zero response. SILENCE. Called today was told again that it will be delivered, I lost it! This company will run you around in circles never once investigating or looking into why the shipment hasn't moved in 2 weeks. I will be cancelling my BJs membership over this. I am a new member, having used SAMS and COSTCO for years; This was only my 2nd order & purchase experience with BJs. I've tried begging for a refund, which they keep explaining is a process. Well- I am now paying my credit card bill for items I NEVER RECEIVED.

I have been a member of BJs Wholesale since 2016. Generally, the products I purchased were reliable. Nevertheless, during the past six months my experience with two mislabeled products caused me to be suspect about their packaging. A box of Bakers refrigerator pie crusts labeled the content as enough for making two double crusted pies. In the process of preparing two pies, I opened the Bakers box to find only one package to make only one double crusted pie. When I returned the box to the Auburn Maine BJs store, the clerk looked up my membership number and confirmed the price and i received a full refund. A second incident was the purchase of a special offer by Colgate toothpaste in a package labeled as inclusive of five tubes. When I removed the cellophane packaging and opened a box to retrieve a tube of toothpaste, there was nothing in the box, it was empty. In fact, the package label claimed five tubes were in the purchase, but in reality there were only four. What is made worse in this second incident is that BJs is asking me for the toothpaste's purchase number. I sent them a picture of the product with the false advertisement plus my membership number but somehow a purchase number is also required. In fact, BJs has my purchase number because my "membership number" is in their data base. So, two incidents of falsely labeled products now includes a customer service complaint. If the Auburn store could refund the purchase of the Bakers refrigerator pie crusts based on finding my purchase number and verification that the item was purchased by me, then what's the difference between that refund and a refund for the mislabeled toothpaste? I have no idea where to find a purchase number on any BJs products and it should not be necessary to do so when my data is entered into their data base using my membership number. BJs iis not being customer service friendly. I will likely not renew my membership..

Service SUCKS!

1. A couple of months or so ago I wanted to write this review but today I had to because of another crappy experience I just had. A couple of months ago their gas station in Danvers had only half of their bays opened (running) and the rest were blocked by cones. It is normal to see long lines of cars there, which frequently spill over all the way to the front of the store.

When asked why the cones were there? Their answer were always: '... the receipt printers don't work...' or '... the pumps don't work because they are overworked...'. Really? Well, why don't you quickly work on it/them? Why can't you train your attendants to fix them? Why do they just sit inside their booth? Why not put in place a maintenance contract to service the pumps on a regular basis? Why not use pumps that come with warranty? It just doesn't make sense that a service business like BJ's does not mind to see long lines like that. Totally counter intuitive to the definition of service.

So, I called their HQ to complain but the cones were there a few days latter and even now. Perhaps not half of the bays were/are blocked by cones but at least one or two would be with cones. So, why built that many bays when they are to be blocked? Aren't you in the business of making customers happy, satisfied and having a positive experience?

2. And today I went to pick up a curbside order my wife placed at the same store. Upon arrival at the curbside pickup location I followed the directions shown on the app, which is to click a link on the app to announce my arrival. I clicked it and waited for 10 minutes, then clicked it again and waited... and I waited for over 20 minutes and no one showed up. Then when I went in to enquire about it, I was told that I had not clicked the app. Really? Unbelievable. Not happy at all.
