I'm short-ish (5'5") and thick (195) with a butt and thighs that I have despised my entire life. When I find a pair of pants in a fit that is both comfortable and look good I buy 5 and don't shop again until it's absolutely necessary (every 2 years if I can stretch it that far). The fitting room is not my friend and I prefer to purchase 10 pairs of whatever just so that I can try them on at home instead. My job going 100% remote last year was the best thing for my wardrobe (I love leggings and sweats) but I did such a great job that they gave me the region for my company and now I am expected to be seen in public and meet clients (boo). I psyched myself up for a shopping trip in order to stock up on some professional-ish clothing and returned home with a sweater and 2 T-shirts... fail. I did try on several pairs of pants in numerous sizes and became more and more agitated so I eventually decided to save my sanity and just go home before I yelled at someone who didn't deserve it. I have seen Betabrand ads on social media previously and decided to give it a try. I ordered a pair of boot cut denim pants and a pair of basic black boot leg pants. I picked them up from my apartment's reception office today and was prepared to try them on, put them back in the packaging and send them back. I am reluctantly impressed... I might even say shocked. Both pair fit well, look good, AND are very comfortable without feeling like baggy sweats. The fabric is thick and feels like very good quality... no panty lines. Wow. I'm actually excited to be able to wear these somewhere now. Thank you!
I ordered a pair of black pants on 5/7/2023.
After 2 weeks with no update, I contacted customer service (on 5/21/23) via email. They said, "Our warehouse team has encountered unforeseen issues impacting fulfillment and causing delays, and do not anticipate being able to ship your order until the end of May." At this point, that was only 9 days away. So I waited.
3+ weeks later, I still hadn't received an update, so I emailed customer service again on 6/14/23. They said, "It is now expected to be shipped by the end of June (we hope it's sooner!)"
3 weeks after that, I got an email on 7/6/23, saying that they are canceling my order due to "unforeseen (and very inconvenient) delays" at their factory. This was 2 MONTHS after I paid for my order.
I'm very disappointed in what this company has become. I have several pairs of Betabrand pants that I have purchased over the years (since about 2015). The last pair I bought (and received) over a year ago had major quality issues. Clearly this company has been going downhill for a while.
My major complaint is that they NEVER attempted to contact me to inform me of the delays. I had to email them for information. What kind of company takes the customer's money and doesn't bother to let them know about "delays"? I will never purchase from this company again.
My favorite pair of pants came from Betabrand years ago. In early August 2023 I ordered pants from them that said they would ship in August. It is now September 25th and they still have not even shipped. I had to ask customer service for answers multiple times and they literally just say "we can't provide estimates". How in the world is that acceptable? You can't just say that you don't know where my product is! I think they're going under, or something is going wrong, and they will take your money without making any real effort to fulfill your order. I canceled my order, which is really disappointing because I could have gone shopping for what I need sometime over the past TWO MONTHS. It's completely unacceptable. If they don't refund me I will have to take it up with my credit card company. And Betabrand is still advertising! Even though they clearly don't have the product! This company that used to make amazing pants is turning into a scam. And they do nothing to try to make it up to their customers. I am never buying from them again.
These are the most comfortable leggings I have. They have a higher waist band to hold everything in and my tummy look flat! They are thicker than most leggings/yoga pants. Great quality!
I ordered a pair of the dress pant yoga pant in April and I am still waiting. It was a pre-order item and they did state it would ship in July so I set my expectations. However, during this time I received two marketing emails stating my item is "back in stock". I ignored the first one in May but when I received the second one on July 18 I contacted customer service inquiring why my item still had not shipped when according to the order status Betabrand is "waiting for inventory" yet I've received two emails stating item is back in stock. I did receive a response the same day stating it was due to ship in July and what do you know, two days later on July 20 I received an email stating it had shipped. It is now July 30 and I still have not received the pants. The tracking shows the shipper received the electronic info on July 25. Why on earth would they send a notice saying something shipped 5 days before they actually ship? Once again, they set expectations for one thing and severely underperform. Supposedly I will receive these on August 1. It's insane to wait 4 months for a pair of pants. I don't care if these end up being the best darn pants I've ever worn. I will never buy from this company again. I wish I had researched reviews before making this purchase.
This company is sleazy and practices poor business practices. STAY AWAY. I returned two pairs of pants 3 weeks ago and still have no received a refund or heard from the company. Also, for the recent Black Friday sales, the company increased their prices to make it look like all the items were on sale, when in face they were not. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY. I will never shop here again. First photo is my receipt from a purchased made 2 weeks before Black Friday, 2nd photo from Black Friday (showing original price $69), 3rd photo from today (1 week after Black Friday, showing original price $58)
Ignore all the bad reviews about getting the wrong size and expensive no return items. You can return items for a different size but just not for your $ back, but I would argue, who would want their $ back? Get the right size!
I bought my first pair of pants and the minute I tried them on, I turned around and bought 2 more pants the same day. I have no bought 7 pairs and they are the best pants ever!
Because of the stretch ability they offer, they are very economical and can span 3 sizes. Meaning if I gain 10 pounds they still fit and if I lose 10 pounds they still fit. They wear well and are so comfortable.
I reached out to customer support because I by accident bought the regular size instead of petite and they reached back immediately to try to rectify my mistake. However, it was too late as they had already shipped. I love these pants so much that rather than send them back and wait for a return of the correct size, I spent $10 to just get them hemmed. Seriously, you can't argue with how comfortable these pants are. You are missing out if you listen to the bad reviews, you really are!
I've been meaning to try these for awhile now, I picked out what I wanted and then found they were out of stock in nearly all sizes. I commented on this, and someone who I assume works there suggested a different but similar style that hadn't appeared in the correct category - great. Decided to get 2 pairs, but when I went to checkout it said they were pre-order and wouldn't be available for a couple months. Would have been nice to know this before I wasted time trying to figure out which size to get. Don't understand why it wouldn't say this on the item before you put it in your cart - maybe because it's less likely people will order? I know I don't want stuff randomly showing up in my driveway months from now when I don't know if I'll be around. Sure this year probably will be, but still. Then I noticed it said pre-orders are charged at time of order, rather than when they are actually shipped, which I think is pretty bogus. Most companies don't do that. (I suppose I could wait until they're actually in stock and there are even some reviews, but I'm just guessing my new choice will be out of stock by then as well.) Searched on the brand and start seeing many not so good reviews. Feeling like I dodged a bullet.
Don't buy from them. I have 2 orders over 700$. One from over a month ago and I have not received my items, nor will they cancel and refund my money. Very disappointing experience!
Bought 2 pants. One came defective with a rip in it. Return policy is terrible, it costs you to return stuff to them. I paid for shipping but it took ages for the pants to arrive.
The company discontinued their plus size clothing and is no longer size inclusive. Their customer service is also terrible!
I never received my order. I contacted them right after I received the deliver notice. I informed them that I did not receive it. They will not refund my money.
"Not a great experience with this team. I always appreciated the creativity of their items, but after a few orders with repeated issues, I just can't recommend them. First of all, everything they make is expensive. So you'd imagine with these costs, you'd be paying for good service along with good quality. But one "preordered" item, which was supposed to ship that winter, was delayed and delayed, months on end, to the point that customer service was sending out promo codes and apology items to make up for the poor service. Not great, but whatever, I'll give them another chance.
They had a sale, I saw an item, and purchased. Nothing unusual. They don't ship it for a few days, which interests me but whatever. I finally get an email, saying my item is out of stock ("inventory snafu"). That's interesting, since it's still in stock on your site, this being now days later... Ok, well, is there any other size? Only if I wanted to go way smaller so it wouldn't fit.
Poorly managed and run site. They've lost my business, which is a shame."
I originally bought some of their products on poshmark. Yes, I know that's taboo. Their products are expensive. But, I really like what they're about. I want to support American companies I love the idea of crowdfunding. They don't have a nap. The website can be hinky and glitchy. I ordered some shoes and they were in pre- transit for 10 business days. I sent an email and got no response. I tried to use the chat option on the website and it did not work. I did leave a direct message in the customer service page. They explained that oversold the product and they did refund me instantly. But it's insane that it took 10 business days for this to be noticed. That's almost two weeks in real life. I also pre-ordered some pants that we're going to be available in September. That wasn't clear when I ordered them I thought they were available immediately. Regardless, I stuck with it. They finally been shipped 15 business days later. They use snail mail. Expedited shipping cost extra. I've dealt with other small companies before. I buy on Etsy all the time. I really love their products. But I may just buy them second-hand in the future or on eBay.
I ordered 3 pairs of pants from Betabrand on April 24, one of which is a pre-order, so I won't comment on that status yet. I received one pair of pants on May 5, right on time according to their estimate. However, as of May 28, I still haven't received the second pair of pants. DHL hasn't received the package from Betabrand yet. Luckily, I did seem to have better luck with customer service than others on this forum. I contacted Passport, their shipping coordinator, and they arranged a refund for the pants I didn't receive. I've checked my bank account, and I did indeed receive the refund for the full price of the pants. They also gave me 30% off a new order, so my dumb self decided I should reorder the pants.
I placed a second order for a sweater and two more pairs of pants on May 19. I received the sweater on May 27, and I love it. The other two pairs of pants haven't even finished processing yet, so tracking hadn't begun. The whole order was promised by May 28- June 1. They're blaming DHL for the delay due to Covid19, but it hasn't even gotten to DHL yet. I've emailed Passport again as well as Betabrand directly. They have given form responses so far.
Overall, I am not satisfied with their shipping practices. It is not okay to charge customers and promise a date without delivering on that date.
All sounds great, free shipping and free returns and 100% refund- until you try to return!
They won; t refund all your money, will give you "credit" if you used a discount code- I will NEVER PURCHASE FROM BETABRAND AGAIN- RIPOFF and SCAMMY operation, BUYER BEWARE!
While I loved the idea of yoga pants I could wear to work, their sizing was off and after waiting several months to get my order (see their shipping I mention later), the pants didn't fit and were way too tight. Luckily I have a little weight to lose so I kept them and will hopefully fit into them, but I bought them so I could wear them now, not later. Sure, yoga pants are supposed to contour your figure, but I need to be able to breathe in them too!
As I was ordering them on their website I looked for when the pants would arrive and couldn't find it. I proceeded to check out, and came to find out that it would take TWO to THREE MONTHS to get my order. I was furious, but I really needed pants and, like I said, the idea of yoga work pants is a good one. Also beware that they spam your email like crazy!
In short, the time-frame to get their product is horrible and their product is useless to you if it doesn't fit. Do not buy this product. I hope someone else picks up the idea and sells it in a retail store.
My first jeans order was fast and easy. Nice product, no issues. Then they sent me a pre-sale offer... so I purchase a new style of jeans on February 2020 at a special price. The jeans were supposed ship the start of April. In March I received an email stating they would need a couple more weeks. That was fine. Finally I receive an email MAY 21 that the jeans had shipped! A week later the tracking number showed that DHL still had not received the package. (Betabrand is in CA & I am in OR so normally only be a couple days ship time) So I contact customer service. I was told in repeated emails to be patient the package had shipped, but still I could see by the tracking # that DHL didn't yet have the package. So I requested at that point that she just cancel the order and refund me. I asked this two different days and the customer service rep. Each time insisted that she couldn't do that because the package was already enroute and that I needed to patiently wait.
Today DHL notifies me that the package was received by them (yesterday June 4) and that it was at customs! So my made in San Francisco, USA jeans were actually being made out of the country and that is why they weren't given to DHL. 3-1/2 MONTHS of waiting to get jeans and horrible customer service is not acceptable. I STILL have not received the jeans and won't for another couple weeks due to being held up in customs. Betabrand has definitely lost me as a customer.
I waited 6 months for a pair of pants THAT I PAID FOR THEN WHEN I CALLED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE TWICE THEY GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND I LOVED THE PANTS BUT NOT WORTH THE SHIFTY CISTOMER SERVICE! Tor the luring that the mailman lost them
Answer: I hang dry mine and wash in cold water. No issues. I've had them for 8 years or so
Answer: I am the same size and DO NOT ORDER! Made in China and the sizes are not true. Sending all back and hoping there will be no issues. Great idea but not for larger women.
